1441  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Where i can sell fast 1.0036 bitcoins? on: January 30, 2024, 01:43:33 PM
I think there are many exchanges and other exchange services that provide Bitcoin buying and selling using PayPal. And if I personally had 1 Bitcoin, it doesn't make sense that I would sell it at $18,000 when the current price of Bitcoin is $41,800. Thinking logically, if you really need money, it will not be possible for you to sell 1 BTC for $18,000. Which crazy person thinks like that, If you intend to commit evil acts at least don't be too obvious 🤦‍♂️

The OP sounds like he is knowledgeable about cryptocurrency, so all he needs to do is choose an exchange and negotiate p2p with a marchant, Binance, is a reputable exchange and anybody with a little knowledge of crypto should know this. I'm not judging him but being desperate to sale Bitcoin, at a rate that is less than half the market price looks suspicious. Could he possibly be hoping for a greedy member in the forum, who'll be ready to do p2p with him, and he'll scam the person? I'm just expressing my personal opinion here, because the OP might be genuine afterall, although I doubt it.
1442  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Is United States on the verge of a civil war? on: January 30, 2024, 12:21:59 PM
I’ve been seeing lots of social media comments & some articles saying a civil war in the US could happen. I am doubtful though. The political problems in the US are both structural & immediate, the crisis is both long standing & accelerating. The US political system has become so overwhelmed by anger that even the most basic tasks of government are increasingly impossible. Apparently red & blue voters are as hostile as ever towards each other, many think mainstream media is pushing it. Let’s hope this is nothing but pre election tension though.

A country like the USA, has clearly gone past that stage of having a civil war, I think that they're too civilized for that, this is a country that upholds democracy and they have intellects, great thinkers that will never allow civil war to happen. Ofcourse conflicts are normal in any true democracy, because it's only in the grave yards that you can have absolute peace. It's ok to have different opinions and points of views, but in the end the wish of the people will always prevail and that is the america, that I know. This is an election year, so it's normal for citizens to take sides with the party of their choice, and after the election, everybody access the outcome and moves on, nothing will degenerate to having a civil war in America, because they're too civilized for that.
1443  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Buy ideas on: January 30, 2024, 11:36:04 AM
The OP used figure of speech, so his buying of ideas actually means gaining ideas from others, as he said that no man is an island, therefore no single person that can know everything, we're all interdependent to gain knowledge from one another. So this forum is a place where a person can come and "buy ideas" or gain ideas about Bitcoin, from experienced members to be better informed about it's investment and trading. But he has to understand that it's important for him to research any knowledge that is passed to him in the forum or any other platforms, so he'll be sure that any cryptocurrency that he's investing in will be his decision, not because a person in an anonymous forum told him so.
1444  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why are altcoins important? on: January 30, 2024, 07:21:05 AM
I don't really like altcoins, especially new coins, meme classes, or hype coins. However, many argue for Altcoins, especially the newer projects, that they can experience rapid price growth, providing the potential opportunity for significant investment ROI and I'm also surprised it has always been able to attract so much interest from both investors and developers.

Don't be too surprised that despite the many risks that are in altcoins, investors still flood it, and the reason is not far fetched, it's because they want to make many times their ROI on the very shortest time, in the end It'll mean them gambling their capital to either buy legit or scam altcoins. The OP method makes sense, if you decide to go ahead and buy, go in quick and invest, have your target to sale in the peak of price pump, when it reaches your target price, don't be greedy and sale, cash out ASAP, because delay can be dangerous, the more you wait, it can start crumbling down and eventually worth nothing.
1445  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Crypto exchanges license difficulty in Nigeria on: January 29, 2024, 05:28:44 PM

If someone or group of people that wants to establish an exchange in Nigeria do not have up to that amount of money, did you think that exchange would be secure enough? There are people that would be employed for security purposes and also that to setup an exchange these days would require huge amount of money. I do not know if these people that are complaining are right or wrong. So you have anything to post about this? How much in naira do you think can be a good startup for new exchanges in Nigeria?

500 million naira, na plenty money for exchanges wey wan establish for Nigeria, and to raise di amount go discourage many potential startups, wey get di interest to provide di services for our country. But for dis matter, me I totally support say make any individual or group wey wan start exchange business for Nigeria, to raise di money, because of scams and hacks wey plenty for crypto matters. We de hear of exchange hacks and if e happen na so investors money go just stuck, di exchange go come de give one story or di oda, so I believe say di move na to protect investors money

I wonder weda Patricia, dat Nigerian exchange wey dem hack last year, weda dem pay dis 500m before dem start business? Because if dem pay am down, dem suppose don balance investors dem money finish, although I hear say dem wan do am in batches.
1446  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Myro - worth a gamble? on: January 29, 2024, 04:39:08 PM
Hi ,

I have been watching Myro for a few weeks now after it pumped and it has now come down 50% with current price of $0.13.

There is quite a lot of hype around this meme coin just wondering if anyone else has gambled on this?

I am thinking of taking a small gamble on it if it falls down to $0.12 as market cap is only $125m so it has room to do a 10x at least.

I'm glad that you mentioned that investing in this memecoins is gambling your capital, so having that fact in mind will prepare you to accept whatever the outcome of your investment brings, whether it's profit or lose. I believe that you've researched the project, without minding the stereotyped hypes of projects in the crypto market, so when it reaches the price that you're comfortable to buy, then do so, just remember that it's better to invest the amount that you can afford to loose. Except for Bitcoin and top altcoins, other crypto projects are risky to invest in because you're never too sure of the true intentions of their developers.
1447  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Everyone Calls My Child's Name Bitcoin. on: January 29, 2024, 03:55:56 PM
If someone receives a nickname from their community, it somehow sticks with the person, and it's hard to fight it, especially if the nickname is not something relating to crime or evil, so Bitcoin is something good, a valuable asset that keeps increasing in value as time passes. There's no need fighting it or feeling sad, it's just a nickname, what will stand your son out in the future will be his character and accomplishments, not the name Bitcoin, so bring him up with good morals and teach him to be industrious, so he can merit the name. If Bitcoin is illegal in your country, that can pose a problem for him, because the authority might want to know what brought about him answering a name that is illegal, although I'm hopeful that in the future Bitcoin will be adopted in the whole world and he'd be proud of the name.
1448  Economy / Economics / Re: richdad poordad has no more guide after achieving freedom on: January 29, 2024, 02:44:24 PM
I think the idea behind RichDad, PoorDad not having a concluding part as to what one should do when they're at the top is actually the right way it should have ended. Why do I say that? The goal is to achieve financial freedom and the book accomplishes that in its own way. What happens after that is entirely left to the reader. The reader has to pick up from where the book left up and carve their own path from there. Everyone is certainly going to have different paths. Even not doing anything more other than to just emjoy the earnings, is also a path.

You read the book => gain the knowledge => apply the knowledge => Become financially stable => decide own path.

I read the book and it really helped me and a lot of people to change their perspective to life and understand about the secrets of financial freedom, how not to live the rest of our lives slaving for others, instead we should learn to let our money work for us, I still recommend the book as an eye opener for anyone that wants to work towards having an investment like Bitcoin that'll work for them. I think that the author concluded the book well, he gave the readers guides to achieving financial freedom and left it at that, so the readers will have to conclude how their own stories ends. I never followed him on social media, but even if he doesn't bring something as impactful as "rich dad poor dad", he'll still be remembered as a great author and a motivational speaker.
1449  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [A POLL] Without Chances of Making Money, Will you still be gambling? on: January 29, 2024, 01:08:04 PM
Chances to win money is the main adrenaline in gambling, it doesn't matter if the winning is small and you've lost more in gambling, coupled with the fact that it might not solve any major financial needs for you, but just the excitement of winning is part of the fun. So if you remove winnings in gambling, it'll become boring and I doubt that it should be called gambling again, it'll probably be like some kids games , there'll be no real adventure in it, because nothing is at stake to challenge you, whether you'll defeat it or not. There's that part of us as humans that wants to take risks and we unleash it when we gamble, so without the prospect of betting money and the chances of winnings, gambling won't complete.
1450  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Newbie traders, work on yourself. on: January 29, 2024, 12:15:58 PM
It's not good for newbies to rely on what they hear on social media to qualify how trading is, because most YouTubers and other social media analysts will paint the picture of how you can make easy money online, and crypto trading will be one of them. I was lucky that I joined this forum and was thought the hard truth that trading is hard, and it's not a get rich quick scheme.

Experience is the best teacher, after getting all the guidance and necessary knowledge about crypto trading, there has to come a time when a newbie must trade on his own, it's inevitable, unless he doesn't want to increase his confidence and be independent to make choices. It's ok to experience some loses, from there the newbie will try different strategies and arrive at the one that'll suit him most.
1451  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Join the revolution world wide on: January 29, 2024, 10:47:09 AM
A worldwide revolution to drive for a better remuneration and job security is only possible in theory, but in practical it's not possible, despite the positive impact that it can have on employees welfare worldwide. Different countries in the world have their own independent labor organizations, who are saddled with the responsibilities of seeing that workers in their country receives salaries that is above their minimum wage, and you can't expect another country to adopt the same minimum wage, because their capacities might not be the same.

You need to consider the cost of production of companies and know their turnover before you can start to advocate for a worldwide revolution, some of them might be running at a loss due to economic hardship that many countries are facing. In countries where the supply of workers is greater than the jobs available, it might surprise you that as you're staging your protest that there are people waiting to take over your job, even at a lesser salary. So a global revolution on that regard is not feasible.
1452  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: What is the minimum time or interval expected to make post ? on: January 29, 2024, 07:19:26 AM
There's no required time intervals when you are posting here in the forum but if you are in a campaign like signature campaign where the manager doesn't allow post bursting and the post time intervals should be at least 15-30 minutes. Check the post above mine which is about the wait time before you can post. When you have achieved higher rank then the wait time will change. You shouldn't think too much about time intervals and you should just set your time interval to 15-30 minutes when you are going to post.

Post intervals shouldn't be less than 15 minutes, ideally within the time it'll take to engage in a topic, atleast read through a few comments and start to compose a meaningful comment to reply, it should be atleast within the minimum timeframe of about 15 minutes. Except perhaps for experienced members who knows the topic too well and just goes straight to business and writes a few sentences in record time of less than 5 minutes. Otherwise 15 to 30 minutes is ideal like you said.
1453  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Donald Trump sells $2.4 million worth of ETH on: January 29, 2024, 06:43:22 AM
i guess if trump is a little interested in crypto about its advantages and uses i guess if he becomes president he will make policies that will benefit traders in the country, who knows Grin Grin Grin

I guess Donald Trump, now has the interest of crypto enthusiasts in USA, they're heading into election and nothing should be overlooked, votes from crypto enthusiasts in the his country can make all the difference on election day. Nobody can deny that the popularity of cryptocurrency is increasing everywhere including the US, so this can be a political decision to get the votes of people with interest in cryptocurrency, because he's rich and can raise his campaign funds without collecting any crypto royalty. I'm just guessing here.
1454  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Crypto Academy on: January 28, 2024, 04:52:53 PM

Na very impactful forum.
1455  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: If I have $40,000 to invest in one #cryptocurrency. on: January 28, 2024, 03:16:19 PM
It's a hard choice to make when you have a huge amount like $40,000 to invest in one cryptocurrency, and you remove the most reputable of them all which is king Bitcoin, and you come down to altcoins and still singles out Ethereum, it'll be really hard for someone like me to put that kind of money, if I have it, on another crypto coin. With the event of the last quarter of the year, I think that I can settle for Solana, because the project looks set to make it's investors richer. Anyway the thread is about opinions and assumptions, in practical I'll put all my money in Bitcoin, for the coming bull run, this is my personal opinion.
1456  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Wrong Moves With Your Bitcoin on: January 28, 2024, 02:16:25 PM
My only regret about Bitcoin was that in it's early days I was skeptical about it just like many people around the world then, I felt what was this digital currency that is buzzing everywhere, many people like me thought that it was a Ponzi scheme, but today we know better. Even many people that bought it then sold along the line, because they weren't too sure about it's reputation, now that naretive has changed. Most of us that were skeptical are now believers that Bitcoin is the best asset that anybody can hold, it's an asset that will continue to be increasing in value. The best part is you don't need to be rich to start it's investment, you can start with amount that you can afford, be doing DCA method to accumulate and hurdle.
1457  Economy / Economics / Re: Reasons for personal financial accountability? on: January 28, 2024, 01:15:57 PM
Without financial accountability to oneself it'll be very hard to avoid poverty, and unless someone is very disciplined and prudent in spending bellow their income, it'll be very difficult to minimize expenditures and have savings to invest for old age. So after gaining all the knowledge about financial accountability and knowing the tips to see that it materializes, without discipline to apply them, it'll all be a waste, so discipline is integral to financial accountability and freedom.
1458  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is there any fun in losing while gambling on: January 28, 2024, 11:35:56 AM
Losing doesn't make a person happy in anything, you'll feel sad and disappointed, it's a natural feeling, but how long you stay down is what matters, some people recover from loses faster than others. If you go into gambling with a mindset that it's fun and that loses are part of the outcome of games and be sincere to yourself that it happens more often than winnings, then it wouldn't hit you so hard if it happens. If a gambler can gamble responsibly and be disciplined to bet the amount that he can afford to loose, then continuous loses can not affect him that much, he'd understand that it's the way gambling is, and he'd be hopeful that winning days will come.
1459  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: You lose more when you over trade on: January 28, 2024, 09:44:50 AM
YouTube channels created the idea that you can make a full-time living from trading, and that trading has become a  full time job where you wake up in the morning, make 10 successful trades, and make $5 to $50 in each successful trade. And so you repeat it every day until you become rich, which, if it happens, means that you have an amount of big amounts or it is something that rarely happens and is not even available to everyone, so trading requires patience  in the long term until you see some results achieved.

Many people want to a shortcut to wealth and they keep looking for get rich quick schemes, they go to social media and they hear a lot of feel good stories about how you can sit in the comfort of your home and be making a lot of money, these YouTubers and social media motivational speakers tells them that crypto trading is the answer. Many newbies enters crypto trading without aquiring the basic knowledge about fundamentals and technical analysis, they trade believing that putting in extra time will increase their chances of profit, and after encountering back to back loses, they'll either tag crypto trading a scam or do the right thing by learning how trading actually works.
1460  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Are newbies afraid to comment on threads of highly ranked members? on: January 28, 2024, 07:41:42 AM
It's natural to feel a little intimidated when it's your first time to be in the midst of highly experienced people in a particular field that you're a newbie, eventually you start to interact with them and as you're learning from their experience you'll be increasing your knowledge. With a zero crypto knowledge when I joined this forum, I was reading more from topics and researching the discussions, I eventually started creating question threads on areas that I don't understand and thankfully I always get overwhelming answers from experienced members here, it's so wonderful and I always felt good about how open they are to teach and guide me. This is an amazing forum , no doubt.
