Ticker CMC is used by CosmosCoin.
You should change it to avoid confusion.
1442  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Ʉ Umbrella | Insured Cryptocurrencies | BITTREX | Litecoin Insurance on: February 15, 2016, 06:04:33 PM
After the downfall of Cryptsy, are there any other exchanges that have i.e. ULTC listed ? Obviously all others from the OP have delisted ULTC meanwhile.

Thanks.

Where did you find this one buried?

Just had a few left from the time when I was merge-mining them and was trying to empty that wallet (and discard it).

1444  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: [ANN] ***[BTC] Cloud Mining***SKYCOINLAB.COM*** on: February 14, 2016, 03:22:39 PM
Thought I'd share my experience with Skycoinlab over the last year.
I buyed a LTC contract for USD 29.7 at the end of January 2015 (actually two contracts summing to 29.7).

Over the course of the year the contract ran, I received total payouts of 11.29 LTC. In this time the payout has been reduced once.
So I made a little profit on that, however payouts seem to have been reduced again when I checked last, so I assume it is now harder to break even or even make profit except LTC price skyrockets.

Payouts seem to be made by hand always and can take a considerable amount of time to be executed after request, however I received everything in acceptable time.

For me they have been honest and correct - no complains at all. But I can only recommend investing if you are confident LTC will go to >6$ in the next 12 months.

In the hope this short review is of use for anybody, I post it here. As always: Before investing, do your own research!!

1445  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: BBQCoin, the coin you want to eat. on: February 14, 2016, 02:32:59 PM
AFAIK bbqcoind doesn't support the getblocktemplate RPC method, that's probably why it doesn't work with most of the stratum servers.
1446  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: CHNCoin resurrected! on: February 10, 2016, 04:20:29 PM
This coin indeed resurrected i check this thread and it was way back 2013 is there a chance that this coin will get back and become profitable in the future,i hope it will..

When people start to add new pools - it probably already is profitable  Cool
1447  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: CHNCoin resurrected! on: February 10, 2016, 01:19:10 PM

Do I have the correct daemon version? I've compiled wallet from github source 0.6.4 with you're given nodes it still won't sync.
With forwading port 8106 I get a lot of connections though.

    "version" : 60400,
    "protocolversion" : 60001,
    "walletversion" : 60000,
    "balance" : 0.00000000,
    "blocks" : 0,
    "connections" : 14,
    "proxy" : "",
    "difficulty" : 0.00024414,
    "testnet" : false,
    "keypoololdest" : 1452864089,
    "keypoolsize" : 103,
    "paytxfee" : 0.00000000,
    "mininput" : 0.00010000,
    "errors" : ""

This is my getinfo:
Code:
{
    "version" : 60500,
    "protocolversion" : 60001,
    "walletversion" : 60000,
    "balance" : x,
    "blocks" : 1253832,
    "connections" : 10,
    "proxy" : "",
    "difficulty" : 29.50168637,
    "testnet" : false,
    "keypoololdest" : 1442398565,
    "keypoolsize" : 101,
    "paytxfee" : 0.00100000,
    "mininput" : 0.00010000,
    "errors" : ""
}

If memory serves right I compiled this from github in OP.

1451  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: [ANN] NiceHash.com - sell & buy hash rate cloud mining service / multipool on: February 09, 2016, 05:19:47 PM
When I use your miner of NiceHashMiner v1.2.3.1, why does my anti-virus software always pop up a warning message saying it contains  Trojan and delete sgminter.exe automatically, threaten name is "TROJ_GEN.R021C0OJS15", I downloaded it from Github: https://github.com/nicehash/NiceHashMiner/releases

Please take a look at "My anti-virus is blocking the application" in the Troubleshooting section: https://github.com/nicehash/NiceHashMiner#troubleshooting

Best regards,
NiceHash team.

Thank you very much, took me a while to figure out that this is just the remaining order lifetime and not the estimated time the credit will last at current speed (which I assumed wrongly).

Would be nice though if the json reply would also contain information like "rejected at pool" etc. from the details page. However it is fine as it is, just wanted to mention this feature-wish Wink
1452  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] a new coin based on Litecoin - CHNCoin on: February 08, 2016, 09:24:30 PM
Could somebody with an active node please post his blockheight and eventually peers?
Mine is 1142448 right now, but coinplorer is on 1139060, so it seems I am on a fork.

Thanks.

Current blockheight 1153033

addnode=198.27.97.172
addnode=195.154.223.134:49942
addnode=70.163.93.56:8106

I'm also having trouble syncing chn wallet. With your nodes provided And resynced from block 1 I'm stuck on 1211479 and 0 connections....

You might want to try these:
Code:
addnode=46.4.106.217:30390
addnode=148.251.19.213:15444
addnode=192.99.8.126:52559
addnode=70.163.93.56:8106
addnode=192.99.13.67:33378

Current blockheight here: 1252479

HTH

Unfortunatly with these nodes I get 0 connections, and not even 1 block..

I see, the only one of above nodes that seems to accept incoming connections is the one you can't reach anyway: 70.163.93.56:8106

Try this one, eventually that gets you a bit further, make sure you give it enough time get a few connections:

addnode=157.161.128.62:8106

Thanks for the great API, very helpful.
I am however unsure what the 'end' field in reply to the orders.get&my method means. It looks like a posix timestamp but doesn't seem to make sense for me when I get values like 1287166820 (for a running order today) which translates as posix timestamp to Fri Oct 15 20:20:20 CEST 2010.
Could you explain what this value means?

Thank you in advance (and great service btw)

Also den Link habe ich mir angeschaut, aber irgendwie stehe ich total auf dem Schlauch.

Eigentlich ist alles klar, es ist "nur" noch diese verdammte Zeile ...

Code:
   settings['netmagic'] = settings['netmagic'].decode('hex')

Kann mal jemand schauen? - Danke & Gruß, Carsten.

Was gibts denn für einen Fehler mit dem Befehl aus dem Stackoverflow Link ?
Code:
  settings['netmagic'] = bytes.fromhex(settings['netmagic']).decode('utf-8')

One of the fans (middle of the front three) died.  Cry

Anyone know what type of fan it is? The miner is not local so it would save me a trip if anyone knows what kind of fan it is or a suitable replacement. Miner is in a cold environment so the dead fan does not seem to be having much of an effect on heat but would like to replace it anyhow.

Found this post that says they are Delta 12V/1.4A fans? Size?

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1141802.msg12258156#msg12258156

Thanks for any help!

Sorry I messed in the post linked above, the Delta is 1.6A and the Nidec is 1.4A.
The size for them is 120x120x38m.

If you are running in a well cooled environment, you can IMHO also use a weaker/slower fan, just make sure the size fits and it's 12VDC.

The below links contain most technical infos for these two models:

http://shop.boxtec.ch/delta-afc1212de-fan-120x120x38mm-12vdc-two-ball-bearing-p-42483.html

http://shop.boxtec.ch/nidec-ta450dc-fan-120x120x38mm-12vdc-two-ball-bearing-p-42482.html

Check also Ebay and AliX for cheaper offers, however I found the ones I buyed on AliX are mostly used.

Code:
2to3 -w xy.py

Hallo psycodad,

jepp soweit hatte ich es schon gebracht. - Problem besteht dann mit:

Quote
   settings['netmagic'] = settings['netmagic'].decode('hex')

altcoins based on blackcoin haven't "setgenerate true" how to solo?or how to mine the fist block ?
No mining. “BlackCoin is a PoS-based cryptocurrency.”

Not wanting to be a smartass on you Graham, but..

From the BLK OP:

Quote
BlackCoin is pure Proof of Stake coin, except stage of initial distribution, when it was mixed PoW and PoS coin.

I suspect the OP has cloned BLK and now wants to mine the first blocks. So my advice would be to use poolers cpuminer to get his chain moving.
1460  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Custom Innosilicon A2 Terminator image - Anx Edition on: January 30, 2016, 12:39:05 PM
Well things have gone off the rails.....any input appreciated.
today I noticed the miner graph's having a prob. One was missing completely and a couple were partially black.
Then the miner said "stopped" at the top but hash was still showing on the pool.
I hit the stop button and shut it down.
I powered back up and most setting were missing including all three pools.
Nothing I do seems to make the pools setting and others stay in their fields they go back blank no matter if I hit enter or reboot.
All 6 green lights just flash.

When I first hooked it up it did this for a few minutes and I could look at the realtime log, then it hooked up and they displayed.
Now when i try to look at real time stats it says socket connect failed.....which I take to mean its not getting on the net.

I'm a total noob with these raspberry Pi things.
Does this sound like the image needs to be reflashed?
Its the sept 2015 image

If you have a spare SD card it would certainly be worth a try to flash the firmware onto it and give it a try. You should also check the logs (syslog and messages at the bottom of the page) from the browser to see if there are any hints in there.
