1441  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Afghan criminals who gang-raped little boy granted residency in Sweden on: January 10, 2017, 09:29:56 AM
So what's your solution?
Huge camps to get rid of refugees?

No. Deportation to their home countries. These "rapefugees" does not belong to Germany. If they want, then they can go to the other Muslim nations, such as Egypt, Saudi Arabia and Pakistan.

Isn't it normal if you have to leave everything to at least go for the best country you can find? Especially if the country has responsability towards the destruction of yours and hence has a responsability toward you.
And if you deport them what will change? They would just come back...
1442  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Afghan criminals who gang-raped little boy granted residency in Sweden on: January 10, 2017, 08:18:49 AM
If any government allows massive numbers of refugees into the country, and does nothing to make certain their country is secure, you can bet it is planned, just to make the populace angry enough to start or condone a war. The national leaders of all the countries want war. It's the way they make money on the side. One of the few who doesn't see it that way might be Trump. Possibly Putin doesn't want war, either.

Cool

Man, you sound like Hitler.
And it's not just a way of talking. That's EXACTLY what Hitler was saying about jews. That it was just a planned invasion to get the German to the borderline of revolution.
So what's your solution?
Huge camps to get rid of refugees?
1443  Economy / Economics / Re: UK fund for buying Bitcoin? on: January 10, 2017, 12:20:37 AM
I have recently sold a fund with H&L in the UK which had down very well recently, i am now looking to buy a fund or stock that tracks the bitcoin price, any ideas on what to buy?

Hmm... I don't get why you would do that...
Well first there is a bitcoin index proposed in some brokers if you want.
But... What is the point of buying a stock tracking bitcoin price? Why not buying bitcoin directly?
I mean it's not like it was difficult or like bitcoin was not moving enough alone xD
1444  Economy / Gambling / Re: Primedice | Most Popular & Trusted | Huge Community | Free BTC on: January 10, 2017, 12:17:52 AM
Thanks for the withdrawal ! good luck !

They gave you the withdrawal after you just lost a good bit on primedice? Well that's nice of them. Cheesy
No he just ran with the rest of the coins he deposited and the profits and with the initial hick ups he won 2.41 bitcoin if you did not notice.Either way good played and good luck moka555.

We credited his withdrawal as soon as it was possible. It was when he was around 6 btc in profit.

I also included a bonus of 0.1 btc for the inconvenience.

Are my support tickets and messages ever going to get a response?

Their support should be a little faster now that the holidays are over. But in general sometimes the only way to get your ticket answered is to open up another ticket or complain in this thread until the mods notice and finally get it resolved.

They really need to hire extra staff. Just don't understand. One of the richest BTC on the web and they can't hire a few low level tech support guys to handle these issues.

Why they should hire any support if they can manage it just with slow respond. With extra staff they need to pay some cost to them too and it is not that easy hire some staff with high loyalty to their site. So if they still can handle things here, i dont think that they really need one though. Unless there is something that they can't even handle it may be that is the time to get a new member

You know why? Because "with great powers come great responsibility"  Grin
They're the most famous dice site concerning btc
They're one of the most popular site in the forum... And they certainly are one of the most successful companies here.

Well people can be cool with having to wait or a middle quality service when it comes from a brand new site, small with only the creator behind.
But as the company grows your expectations grow too. They should have 24/7 support if they want to be sure to stay n°1 in dice site that's all.
1445  Economy / Speculation / Re: Kraken failing to execute orders?!? on: January 09, 2017, 09:03:47 PM
U want a fkn bet?

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1559553.0

To save you reading the whole thread, the gist of it is as follows.......Kraken accounts, where the user has opted for the default security options, allows withdrawals to be made without even Email authentication. Even if the Kraken account holder opts to use Kraken's 2FA authentication for withdrawals, 2FA can still be turned off by anyone with the password to the account. Only those who opt for 2FA on every single log-in, accounts are 'safe'.

In the thread, are a handful of people (myself included), complaining about having their Kraken account's emptied. Kraken's response is to offer their 'sorries for your losses', and little else. Had Kraken simply had email verification for withdrawals, then none of the victims in this case would have been robbed, but even now, they still have not implemented this as far as I am aware. Furthermore, this is not the first incident of limited numbers of people being robbed on Kraken. A quick search through reddit and such will bring up many accounts of small scale thefts occurring on this exchange over the course of time, without there ever being any kind of media attention brought to Kraken's door.

I am not saying that it is the exchange owners themselves who are doing the thieving, but the exchanges definitely has rats, with backend access to passwords and such, and the ability to empty 'vulnerable' accounts, i.e. any account that does not require 2FA for simple login. What is highly dubious however, is despite the frequency of the thefts, Kraken do not change their system....as though the exchange is being operated by someone who is quite happy to leave this 'vulnerability' open.

Whaaaaaaaaaaaaaat? xD

That's... Insane. Well I had a rather good opinion of Kraken before, but it seems that I was a bit misled.
Security is probably the main point of a platform exchange, so not having a freaking simple email confirmation is... Well it doesn't make sense.
I had no problem with them but I didn't use them a lot. Without any reason though, just because I used more btc-e and polionex. It seems like it was a very good idea to not use it a lot. Specially as the platform exchange are numerous with high quality.
1446  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Insurance on: January 08, 2017, 07:34:24 PM
Hello everyone,

I'm looking for opinions on a concept that I would like to release.

The issue for the majority of potential bitcoin users is the price volatility, which gives them uncertainty investing in the currency.

So what if there was a way to ensure that your investment is safe for a fee per month as an insurance package?

As an example, if a coin is worth $1000 and the user wants to protect it from dropping below $500, they can purchase an insurance package for a low monthly fee that would purchase the bitcoin for $1000 if it dropped below $500.

Is this something that you think would be beneficial to the bitcoin community and to the general risk side of the currency?

I have a platform ready to launch, let me know guys.

It's "possible" but wouldn't work.
Bitcoin market is not that big. It's an important one but small enough to see a huge volatility of price.
You couldn't do that, just because if you tried, any whale who would like to make a dump would also take your insurance. And after the dumping price they created they'd just have to take your money.
1447  Economy / Gambling / Re: YOLOdice.com - FAST, beautiful charts, awesome chat, faucet 500-3000Sat on: January 08, 2017, 07:30:57 PM
This site is great!
Simple design, easily playable. And it even gives out money with an overall negative profit Cheesy

But if I may suggest a simple upgrade would concern the chat. It's great to have a chat but you have to be able to chat while playing. So at least put it up automatically in the play section (because here it's a bit hard to see) and maybe try to have a smoother design for the chat, like on the side or something. Because it's an important element in a dice game.
1448  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Can we expect new sanctions against Russia from the EU. on: January 08, 2017, 01:40:47 PM
Many of the European Union nations (especially France, Germany and Italy) were involved in the NATO invasions of third world countries such as Serbia (1999), Libya (2011), Iraq and Afghanistan. So they don't have the right to blame Russia for getting involved in Ukraine.
Have you tried to ask the Ukrainians if they want to, there was Russia? All who from Russia's neighbors want to on their territory spread Russian influence? Russia is not loved by all. America has shown its weakness of not supporting Ukraine with his troops.

...
What is meant here is that they all have the will to use their influence and armies to take over neighbours or take out natural resources.
What's the difference between Russia taking over part of Ukraine and America trying to invade whole Midle East?
1449  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Four blacks arrested for racist attack using needles on mentally ill white man on: January 08, 2017, 01:38:19 PM
Ok ok ok
So it seems in fact they just didn't want to rush towards the hate crime accusation.
But now that the tape has been analysed by the police they're charged with hate crime
http://www.zerohedge.com/news/2017-01-05/chicago-cops-claim-4-trump-taunting-blacks-attacked-white-teen-over-his-special-need

So it seems that we just went a bit fast and they're going to be judged as they should.
1450  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Can we expect new sanctions against Russia from the EU. on: January 08, 2017, 12:31:57 PM
I suppose the US had no self serving agenda for the below list and it was all done for the good of the people and democracy right Roll Eyes

Every major power will stomp on smaller countries for control of natural resources.
Americans are certainly not angels, but everywhere where America controls the situation, people live much better than where control of the situation Russia. Of course war is not without casualties, but compare the number of after America and Russia.

Sure...
Between Irak/Afghanistan and Syria it's clear what's better. And USA have nothing to do with Syria of course. Only Russia is responsible here.

I would gladly compare the consequences of the two if they were even comparable... Even just by the number of war started USA wins by a fair amount!
1451  Economy / Web Wallets / Re: Coinbase users have private keys? on: January 08, 2017, 12:11:45 PM
coinbase does not give users private keys.

just like all other exchanges
when you put funds in. they all belong to coinbase/other exchanges.
you are just given a mySQL database "balance" and that is it.

should they shutdown you lose.
should they get hacked. they will try to convince you that you lost funds (even though they lost funds)

its like a bank where you need to ask them when you want some funds and they can authorise a withdrawal to you, which is more of a moral contract.

this is why its best you store funds in a wallet that gives you private keys so that you are in sole control of the funds and not having to rely on third parties morals/ethics

That sounds really bad and Very much unsafe If I understand You correctly. So If Coinbase doesn't let users fully own their wallets , Is there any Web Wallet with such functionality?

I just enjoy using Web Wallets. I don't like waiting for the blockchain to download.

I appreciate You & dukeneptun's Response on this. Thank you for the heads up.

I might be wrong but I don't believe any Web wallets have this functionality.

That's the main difference between hardwallet and web wallets. Hard wallet (like Electrum) are software that you install on your computer and that give you complete control on your wallet, it's an interface but the creator of the software doesn't own anything.
While webwallet are in fact just a website. It is owned by the creator of the website and they provide you a service. It's exactly like a bank! You don't have the money, you give it to the bank (or webwallet) and it gives you a credit on the bank (or here web wallet).

I've only used web wallets so far since I'm just introduced to bitcoin but my, that does sound quite unsafe. At least with banks there is a minimum insurance for your deposit. I just have a few bits, not even a full coin so I don't think I'm in any danger but when I got to the point where I have substantial funds, I'd definitely don't want anyone stealing it.

I though hardware wallets come with an actual hardware made for the purpose. Is it possible to just use a laptop? I just have one which is what I also use to go online.

Ahah yeah there is nothing less safe than a web wallet! Apart from ponzi scheme sites and also the cloud mining services.
I used web wallet too when I had only a few dollars in btc. But now I only use electrum, it's true that there are fees which is not the best thing ever, but the fees aren't more than 0.2$ per transaction, which is not THAT MUCH compared to the security provided.
1452  Economy / Web Wallets / Re: Coinbase users have private keys? on: January 08, 2017, 12:07:02 PM

you don't need to download the entire blockchain with a light wallet like electrum, try downloading electrum and you'll be set up within a couple minutes at tops

Okay Will give it a trial. Just one quick question, How much does the trans fee transaction fee range ? I'm concerned about cost of transaction  fee too  Smiley

You can put 0 if you want but you won't see your tx go through easily xD

Currently the transaction fee is around 0.2mbtc if I remember well. But it all depends on the number of transactions and the average fee so it changes all the time.
It all depends on your use of the wallet. Webwallet are great for numerous small transactions! But wallets like Electrum are for more security and the cost is around 0.2 mbtc each time you want to send something. Which means you mustn't do 50 tx everyday ^^

Are you kidding? If you put 0 your transaciton will never go through and it will just drop out of mempool. Why give him tx fee with a confusing denomination like mbtc and just say tx fee normally is 0.0002 for 2017.

Yeah sorry I took him for an intelligent being able to to a division by 1000...
And I did it simply because Electrum wallet gives wallet balance and amount of fees are stated in mBTC

And a free transaction would just be processed last no? No reason that it is wasted. It would just go through only once everything is done no? (Which means it will never really go through). I never said you should put a 0 fee. Just that it was possible.

1455  Economy / Speculation / Re: Kraken failing to execute orders?!? on: January 08, 2017, 12:27:54 AM
WTF? I thought Kraken was a respectable exchange house, since they were chosen for disbursement of the MtGox bankruptcy funds, but it seems not. I had 3 trailing-stop sell orders on Kraken waiting for this value drop, they were supposed to trigger at 1012, 990 and 960-ish euros but we're already at like 955 and none of them are executed, I'm still fully in BTC! Anyone else seeing this on their account?

Respectable yes. As in the idea that they don't scam people, they won't take your money and go away with it (or at least we think).
But it was a freaking rush period. And I don't for the others but I'm not sure most platform exchanges have the technical power to take such number of transactions and connections.
But... That none of them have actually taken an order? This is weird. Some delays yeah it's easily understandable, but that's no longer a delay that's just that they forgot it xD

Did you try to contact support? Though I don't think they would do anything...
1456  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Dangerous country on: January 08, 2017, 12:13:40 AM
-snip-

-snip-

I understand what you mean. It is indeed cruelty that is practised in most Asian countries.

But you have to see from another perspective! Try to think in the shoes of those people. You just try to take your western point of view and just put it in another continent, a different culture and people. What do you do to rats? Do you take care of them on a daily basis?
Because that's what dogs are in lots of countries. In Taiwan for example, dogs are a real plague to the country. They're numerous, breed like rabbits and nothing or no one control them! So animal cruelty yes, but they HAVE TO get rid of them. The festival of dogs for example, it's a horrible day during which Chinese all go around and torture dogs before killing them. Well the torture part isn't... Necessary that's true but these days are an incredible way of controlling dog population.
1457  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin crash - How deep it will go? When should i buy? on: January 07, 2017, 10:19:18 AM
I just checked with my psychic and she told me to buy at $821.71. Oh, she also told me my dead father never loved me and my wife is fucking the next door neighbor.

Who needs a wife or a loving family if you got bitcoins? Especially at low price!

But to answer the question you have to take a look at the big picture. Currently if my information are correct, miners need on average a price higher than 700$ to make profits. It means that normally the price shouldn't sustain for long under 700 otherwise miners gonna see the shit hitting the fan.
But 1100$ made no sense it was a freaking pump ^^

1459  Economy / Gambling / Re: Casino Extreme literally stole $1000 USD from my account on: January 07, 2017, 10:01:25 AM
I can see the OP has gotten a great resolution to this complaint by going to latestcasinobonuses.com Casino Extreme while they made a poor decision initially revoking money from his withdrawl due to play on blackjack have since admitted the terms were not clear and added back the funds that were taken. I'm glad I was able to help you out and refer you to a community where I felt you would receive fair and honest resolution. It definitely restores my faith in Casino Extreme and I wouldn't hesitate to play there in the future. They also stated they will update their terms to make it more clear to players in the future. Stand up job by them to restore your funds. Happy for you. Enjoy your winnings.

Hmm...

Where do you see that?
I mean OP is clearly describing a robbery and how he got theft by the casino! There is nothing here proving he found a solution with it, rather the contrary in fact. Just look at the log of chat exchanges! It's incredible how they answer and the level of bad faith here xD
So if you got additional information don't hesitate to post them. Especially as the casino reputation is at stake here.
But if there is indeed a resolution then I only have to say well done to OP for having put the pressure here like that :p
1460  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin's Next Direction 2017 Predictions on: January 06, 2017, 11:07:00 PM
Hello,

After successfully predicting BTC moves in 2016 here on the forum, I have a new set of 2017 predictions that I'm using to trade the current move.

1. Rise to $1,200-$1,300 (Current move)

2. Correction to $800-$900 level and range trading for a while    current move
3. Rise to $1,500
4. Correction to $900-$1,000 and range trading for a while
5. Continued rise to $2,000 by end of year

tldr; BTC will double this year after making a couple of moves up and down.

Well at least well done for the beginning of your prediction!
Seems like we're heading for a very low volatility trade period between 800 and 900! Huge resistances are built both up and down and I feel like after all this panick people need to stop and think a bit so we'll see much less moves for some time. Especially as long as the mempool is so freaking full that you can't even trade properly :p
But of course it's btc so you might see a chinese miners group suddenly deciding to dump their coins all together and lose 200$ again. Or the exact contrary. But those would be forced movement, I don't think that the market will move a lot by himself in the next weeks.
