Not really except it will only occupy 1 slot in your motherboard when using risers, while 2 x RX 570 would occupy 2 slots on your motherboard when using risers. Still I say go with 2 x RX 570, it will be more profitable in the long term as when bios modded they consume less power than 1 RX Vega 64. Switched my GTX 1060 from dual mining and moved on dstm miner in Nicehash, 634 sol/s for 2 cards of 3 GB memory. Pretty impressive and it is paying more now than dual mining. Well done.

Based on your hash rate you are using either a GTX 1050 ti or GTX 1050. I have the same problem with those cards after Nvidia updated their drivers. Anyway you should not worry, max power consumption is 65 watt for each of these cards so these cards are really energy efficient. From the image I see you are mining at 165 sol/s so nothing to worry about. It is about 2.8-2.9 sol/s efficiency.

Yeah you only need 8 GB ram max.
Don't need more than 120 GB hard drive (60 GB bare minimum).
Only need a Celeron processor.
If you're going to buy ATX power supplies (not server ones), you may as well get the Corsair AX 1500i. Generally better than the EVGA.
Buy a third pack of risers in case some of the risers are bad.
1080 Ti may not be the best rig to start with, also very expensive. 1070 and 1070 Ti are better choices imho.

While this is a great tool for Resetting a mining rig I think you can do without it. In times when your rig crashes occasionally or when the energy goes out (this happens in shitty third world countries mainly but not only) I have set the BIOS to Restore AC after power loss. Have set up Nicehash to start with Windows and to autostart mining. This has been a great beneficial thing to me so far but 20 USD is not expensive even for one mining rig as you can make that amount in 2 days with a good 6 x GPU rig.

I wonder if this means an ASIC for cryptonote coins like Monero are just on the horizon then? I don't know the exact details but I think some of the reasons cryptonote is ASIC-resistant are the same as ETH.
I already said about a month ago that there are not asics in the roadmap for monero, only ethash and equihash, developing asics take time and also there is a queue. So I should start to worry about my investment about 12 mining rigs with 6 x GPU each mining Ethereum at 182 Mhash each. I had in plan to reinvest 100% of the coins I am making from these rigs and build other rigs. Checking the performance of Monero though, it is not something I would do. That would be very sad for me, if this ASICS for Ethash and Equihash come into place. |

Lately bitcoin fees are down a lot and they are not a factor to affect my gambling. Normally the price drop should affect us in a better way , meaning we can buy bitcoin cheaper for gambling and not the other way around like many people are complaining here. Also people like me who are mining bitcoin at home with multi GPU setup don't care much about the bitcoin price as long as it is profitable (btc profit-energy>=0).
For me it is the same in gambling, even if bitcoin price is 100 usd or 100000 usd.

I thought this to be a bad week for me so far with only 70 points but I see together with another member of the competition have hit 70 points, very near top now. Anyway I am afraid I can't do a lot in the remaining games so looking forward to next week. Wow even closer now to the top, this competition is so freakin fun that words cannot describe it how fun it is for me. My objective is still to end in the top five, anything above this is a personal win for me.

I managed to lower the core and memory voltage and it is running stable now at 28.1-28.2 Mhash. It cannot run stable with 29 Mhash as it crashes every hour or so.
Anyway I got a new offer to build a new rig and the guy where I want to buy have 6 x RX 570 ASUS but this time is Expedition.
Better the Strix version or Expedition with bios mod, if it is the same I am ok with it as I am happy with 28 Mhash hashrate per card.

Why are mining profits so low? Nicehash shows in profitable calculator for RX570 only $1.4 profits. Can anyone say why so few profits are giving?

That is because the price of Bitcoin has fallen during last week with only a small recovery taking place these last few days. A good RX 570 8GB with a modified bios would give you about 2.2-2.5 USD daily with actual price of Bitcoin. You just have to flash your card with Polaris Bios Editor but judging from your initial post I am not going in details as I think you have no idea what it is. I invite you to read google guides on modifying bios of your card/s if you want to achieve these results. |

It’s Tottenham vs Arsenal this coming weekend, I hope Arsenal win but I think Tottenham are in great form & will get the 3 points here. Yep, I support Arsenal too for the derby london game. With the previous game arsenal shattered everton, a stunning match coupled with new ammunition aubameyang and henrikh mkihtaryan who had previously strengthened dortmund. While Tottenham can only be drawn against liverpool, and I bet this fight will end 1-2 for arsenal. I also think that Arsenal can win this London derby game although the victory will not be obtained in an easy way because the Arsenal opponent is a very strong team and able to subvert some favorite teams in the Premier League. Arsenal also wants to prove that the arrival of two new players can make a positive contribution to Arsenal in the future. Anyone can win this game, both of them will try there level best I hope. Both the teams have some stake upon tomorrow's game, Arsenal want to prove themselves right with the 2 new players and Tottenham wants to win to reach 3rd position. I feel Arsenal has more chances of winning, just instinct but I would love to see Tottenham win as I will be betting against my instinct in this game. This is going to be very interesting match But for Arsenal to beat Tottenham very difficult as they are very good and right now capable to give tough time any team Arsenal away form is also not good even they are coming with 2 new players for me Tottenham home and draw is very good for this match Let's not forget that Champions league is only a few days away and Tottenham will face a very tough challenge while they face Real Madrid. Maybe they will not play with full throttle and they may leave some super stars out of the game to preserve them for the Champions game. This has happened so many times even in better teams than Tottenham, so Arsenal may have a big chance to win tomorrow afternoon. |
