14441  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Vaccinated vs. Unvaccinated: Guess who is Sicker? on: May 16, 2018, 05:41:01 AM
Wikipedia gives the mortality rate from small-pox at 30%.

Quote
The overall case-fatality rate for ordinary-type smallpox is about 30 percent, but varies by pock distribution: ordinary type-confluent is fatal about 50–75 percent of the time, ordinary-type semi-confluent about 25–50 percent of the time, in cases where the rash is discrete the case-fatality rate is less than 10 percent. The overall fatality rate for children younger than 1 year of age is 40–50 percent. Hemorrhagic and flat types have the highest fatality rates. The fatality rate for flat-type is 90 percent or greater and nearly 100 percent is observed in cases of hemorrhagic smallpox.

If you think that such a deadly disease can be treated without vaccination, then I have to say that you are out of your mind.
14442  Other / Politics & Society / Re: A lot of people seem to hate the US without knowing anything about it on: May 16, 2018, 05:36:45 AM
The United States is very kind to its citizens, and you can see the President of the United States personally greet three Korean American hostages released by north Korea back to the United States at 3:00 a.m. local time!

This is the United States, as long as you are an American citizen, the United States will defend your rights!

It is the same United States which is having the largest prison population in the world (at more than 2 million). And it is the same US which will send you behind bars for 12 years, if you are caught with a little weed. Reality is far different from these televised episodes.
14443  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Environmental Problems on: May 16, 2018, 04:41:35 AM
You should also mention people who throw garbage on the streets.

Old habits die hard. Here in India, I have seen people throwing out garbage on to the roads from their Lamborghinis and BMWs. They may be uber-rich, but many of these people don't have any good manners. For them, throwing garbage is like a sense of entitlement.
14444  Other / Politics & Society / Re: What do you think of North Korea? on: May 16, 2018, 04:38:34 AM
Mike Pompeo (United States Secretary of State) had a very successful meeting with Kim Jong Un, the North Korean leader. But there is no guarantee that Trump will be able to reach a deal with the North Koreans. How hard Trump will try to get rid of the nukes from the DPRK?
14445  Other / Politics & Society / Re: China's feminism is abnormal, men and women are increasingly intolerant eachother on: May 16, 2018, 04:35:33 AM
chinese a hell hole country anyways, they pullte everything over there, their water is undrinkable.  Hopefully russia can invade china.

The multi-national companies set-up their manufacturing units in China only because there were hardly any environmental regulations. It created a lot of jobs and ballooned the size of the middle-class in China. But there were negative effects and environmental pollution is one of them.
14446  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Trump Doesn't Need a Nobel Peace Prize: You Can Get One for Doing Nothing Anyway on: May 16, 2018, 04:33:36 AM
Nobel Prize is a joke anyways... Obama got one for doing nothing. Till now, Trump hasn't done anything to deserve a Nobel. But he can be considered (along with Kim Jong Un and Moon Jae In), if a permanent and long-lasting peace deal is achieved in Korea.
14447  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Why US is the most powerful country in world ? on: May 16, 2018, 04:06:29 AM
US is the most powerful country in the world because they have the most nuclear weapons in the world after Russia(currently, around 7000). They have the biggest Army in the world with over 1.4 million personnel .

The number of nuclear weapons doesn't really matter. It won't take more than 100 of these nukes to destroy this whole planet. So what is the point in owning 6,000 or 7,000 nuclear weapons? Also, rather than the number of weapons, the capability per warhead matters more.
14448  Other / Off-topic / Re: Would you kill your own children if God commanded you to? on: May 16, 2018, 04:02:31 AM
nestly, I can’t say ‘yes’ or ‘no’ to that right now. Why is God asking me to kill my (nonexistent) child? Is it because my child is evil and actively trying to murder a bunch of people, and the only way I can stop him is with a gun? Well, I guess I’d say yes then and spend a long time in therapy after.

I couldn't believe that such brainwashed people exist on this planet. Individuals are ready to murder their own little children, because some imaginary figure has told them to do so. I would forcibly admit these people to mental asylums and take away their children and place them in foster homes.
14449  Other / Politics & Society / Re: World population is very small. on: May 16, 2018, 03:56:00 AM
Statistics indicate that most people would rather use these less populated places for a remote vacation while continuing to live in populated countries. Aside from a few countries like the Vatican

LOL... do you know that Vatican is one of the most densely populated countries in the planet? The population density there is close to 2,300 people per square kilometer, which makes Vatican one of the top 10 most densely populated countries in the world.
14450  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Biggest Problem of your Country ?? on: May 16, 2018, 03:53:02 AM
The main problem of my country is a corruption, which is the reason of many other ones.Too much money from all over the country in hands of a few men. I think there should be much more severe punishment for this crime,to be a good example for those, who are going to do this and prevent it.

The government officials and the bureaucrats tend to be corrupt in most of the third world nations. The situation is not different in my country (India) as well. Even punishments are ineffective, as the judiciary is also corrupt and side with the accused in many cases.
14451  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: When your token goes down hard, are you going to sell it? on: May 16, 2018, 02:13:35 AM
If the token goes down by 40% to 50%, then I may consider selling all or part of it. But in case it dips by more than 90%, then there is no point of selling it. I will just keep it in my wallet, although the chances of a future appreciation is almost nil.
14452  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Altcoin for fast Profit on: May 16, 2018, 02:11:25 AM
I think ADA is good! Because it aims to integrate with all other major cryptocurrencies without the use of a third party which reduces fees that exchanges charge, allow quicker and easier transactions across the blockchain, removes risk of a third party losing your cryptocurrencies.

Yes... I am also a big supporter of Cardano. It has revolutionized the crypto scene and in future it has the capability of replacing Ethereum as the no.2 crypto (in terms of market capitalization and user-base).
14453  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bounty campaign - waste of time or great passive income? on: May 16, 2018, 02:09:43 AM
Everything depends on your luck. I know one of my friends, who got the equivalent of almost $10,000 for a single bounty campaign (that lasted less than 2 months). But I wasn't that lucky, and some of the campaigns in which I participated didn't even paid me.
14454  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do you still support Ethereum? on: May 16, 2018, 02:07:50 AM
I was never a big supporter of Ethereum, and my stance hasn't changed much over the years. I appreciate the technology behind ETH, as it enables the creation of many tokens who doesn't have their own Blockchain. But now, a lot of competitors are emerging and some of them are better than ETH.
14455  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why is the price of bitcoin so high on: May 16, 2018, 02:06:07 AM
This is why I have always said that we should go for a hard fork, which will divide each one of the existing Bitcoin by 1,000 or by 10,000. This will get the exchange rates below $10 per coin and get a lot more investor support. One of the reason why Ripple is able to attract so many users is due to its very low price per unit ($0.7 per coin).
14456  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why Cryptocurrencies are falling today? on: May 16, 2018, 02:04:07 AM
Once again, I have to say that the OP is making the mistake of looking only at the short-term trends. We need to remember that the exchange rates are still 8x greater than what we had almost 1.5 years back.
14457  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What are some stable altcoins ? on: May 16, 2018, 01:55:59 AM
The value of Tether is tied to the American dollar: within this model dollars are kept confidentially and the release of additional tokens of Tether provided with fiatny currency is periodically made.

Hmm... Tether is the most stable crypto-currency available right now, as its price is always equal to 1 USD. There may be slight variations based on the demand, but the exchange rates are generally within the $0.99 - $1.01 range.
14458  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Biggest Problem of your Country ?? on: May 15, 2018, 10:28:25 AM
I'm a Nigerian and sadly the biggest problem of my county are our corrupt leaders that refuse to leave power. They keep coming back all the time and refusing new people to rule. If u take them away, I think we will have a better Nigeria.

Nations torn by religious and ethnic divide tend to have corrupt leaders. As we have seen from the past, there have been frequent communal infighting in Nigeria. So the first priority for the voters is to get someone from their community elected, even if he is corrupt.
14459  Other / Off-topic / Re: Sweden: Half a Million Sexual Assaults in 2015 on: May 15, 2018, 10:22:25 AM
So thread started nearly 2 years ago, shouldnt every woman in europe have a mudslime baby by now?  Huh

Eventually that is going to happen. But the beauty of radical feminism is that more and more women are now refusing to have children. They are even rejecting the concept of marriage. That may be the reason why increasing number of western males are looking for brides from the Philippines and Thailand.
14460  Other / Politics & Society / Re: World population is very small. on: May 15, 2018, 10:19:27 AM
So the total amount of fiat cash available is around $10,000 per person? ($72 trillion / 7.5 billion). I would say that it is normal. But there is wide disparity between the countries. In the developed nations, this will be close to $100,000 per head, while in the third world this figure will be closer to $1,000 per individual.
