Terrahash,

Please let us know what our options are regarding returns or upgrades.
You have merely told us some possibilities.
In the meantime Avalon may ship the chips and that would leave us NO options except for very expensive paperweights.

Please respond today with concrete options and how to submit our choice back to you.

Thank you.

The longer they stay quiet..... the longer they get to keep operating and hold onto your cash.

They have failed (in my opinion) in hardware buisness, so they are switching to hosting other companies hardware.  And they are hoping your money and the 25 percent reservation fee once they open it up will allow them to operate and try to be a hosting company for mining.

Can anyone tell me what the original power connector is considered? A link to a page that sells or just name that i can google and buy.

Anyone have a link to a store in US that sells it?   Or even what the plastic piece is called?
14564  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Off-Topic on: September 12, 2013, 02:11:56 AM
Bkk also took orders for boards and programmed pic etc.. so he has many customers himself..not just donations and fees.

Ok, point conceded on that.  And those people would have every right to blame him if he doesn't deliver.  TH and TH customers, however, really don't unless TH has already paid him which I don't believe they have.
they paid him a substantial amount per bkk post in this thread.

It's just really disheartening to see the situation as it is right now; I perceive it as every 'businessperson' just trying to get whatever gains they can, even if it's at the expense of others.  It makes it hard to trust anything in the Bitcoin mining hardware arena right now.

I am worried with TH being a Inc. How they want 3 months that is quite a bit of cash I'm guessing of overhead.

The chances of them changing their customer service and other things is very small.  If you wait on refunds you are counting on them being a successful hosting company.  And if they are running low on cash how are they buying this hardware (they only require 25 percent reservation fee).  And again them buying hardware from another company and just hosting shows they done even trust their own production.
14565  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Off-Topic on: September 10, 2013, 02:52:46 PM
I just dont undeestand why we arent getting down to business
All im asking for is a little direction now that your plan is on the table
Hell   I dont know why TH hasnt set a refund/reinvest site up themselves
At least then they would know where they stand with us

The reason is the amount of people who want refunds.  They will go out of business without pre-order money.  Essentially instead of customers we all became investors.  Not the deal I signed up for glad i got refund long ago, i still stress look up how money is split with Inc's and LLC's and make your own judgement on contacting paypal and CC companies after reading. If the company fails Amir gets to keep his salary, company goes down and customers who didn't get refund are the ones who get screwed.

They claim to have a deal to host a huge amount of hashing power, and they will be PURCHASING THEIR HARDWARE FROM ANOTHER COMPANY!!.  They don't even trust their production at this point.

Also if they did get money to truly purchase all this hardware for hosting..... it came from pre-orders of their original project.  Other option is they have talked with a company about getting hardware, and spent nothing.  That way when they make big announcement that you can put your 25 percent reservation fee it keeps them afloat longer.

Glad to see you were able to get it, congratz.  I think TH will have problems in future working with paypal and credit cards. Run a company horribly with the worst customer service...... it going to fail.  It's only a matter of time till their money dries up.  There is no way they will ever get a small business loan, its the money they don't refund keeping them afloat.

Amir gets one week less of salary now :/ .   Ohhhh Amir how you treat customers.

Regarding the project as a whole. Since Yifu is offering chip refunds now, we can go that route. But as you know, chips were only about 50-60% cost in our operation, that is all we would be able to refund everyone.

Another option is to get a refund now, and buy the Gen 2 chips in October. Yifu has announced that the Gen 2 chips will be fully compatible with Gen 1. So, we would be able to use the current boards, heat sinks, cases and most (if not all) of the components. And everyone will get about 8-10 times more hashing power for same price. (This is just an estimate, we will get more details once he releases the specs.) And we'll get another month and a half to sort out the issues with the current design. Instead of depending upon BkkCoins this time, we will hire people here to build upon and improve his design. We will open source everything we do.

I vote wholeheartedly on Refunding and getting Gen 2 Chips, however you guys REALLY REALLY REALLY need to open/answer all of your lines of communication. It is unacceptable that so many emails/tickets/phone calls have gone unanswered.

I also think the open sourcing of the project is a great step to rebuilding your relationship back with the community. If this is the route that is taken, please allow for overclocking room in your design revisions.

I still have faith in you Terrahash and so do others as you can see in this thread, but you have given yourselves a black-eye with your lack of customer service. Thankfully this can be remedied easily with some effort Smiley

I can promise, we will be more open and be better with customer service this time!

Well you couldn't get any worse.   Anyone get any tickets answered after that post?  I'm betting not.

The math does not add up at all.  All they can give you is 50-60 percent refund?   Yet they have the cash to start a hosting service and also upgrade you to gen 2 chips?

Show pictures of 100 cases, or the boards, or the tons of components stopping you from 100 percent refund.  Or a video of working k-16.  Its still just your word its working so good.

If anyone in these forum
Put money at terrahash for their hosting
Will be the most stupid person at world

Why? Terrahash's faults lie completely with the Avalon chips.  How can we judge a company on their product when they don't have all the parts for a product?

TH's faults go much deeper.  Try to send them a ticket and see it not get answered.  Think customer service will instantly change when their business plan does?...... it wont.  And if thats one of your alt accounts hi Amir!

I have a ticket in that isn't answered and yes it makes me upset but nowhere near enough to cancel or say they are a scam.  When in doubt claim the other person is an alt.  So you are KNC's alt?  Trying to make the competition look worse.

HA HA HA that is great you go and edit your post when you are called out.  Don't worry notlist3d I have the original txt in my reply!  But you got me I am an alt for Terrahash, I used my time machine to go back to "Date Registered:  May 23, 2011, 05:02:04 PM " and make an account to sit on for 2 years before forming a company.  Good detective work skills you have.

Please look above at post.  And it was edited right after before your post even was posted.  And on a side note date registered does not mean not a alt..... people do sell accounts you know.

But as i admitted i jumped the gun on calling you a alt.  You are just a fool it seems on trusting TH.

You will notice i took it out right after post as I felt after typing it it was no proof on your account.   Amir did use alt accounts, when this thread started there were a few specifically that started right then and i have a feeling if mods look at IP it would no doubt be confirmed.    I am no ones alt to be fair I am mining with GPU's and ASICMiner gear.  Why ASICMiner right now, because they deliver a product and i enjoy mining.  I would have LOVED to be running some k-16's but TH simply did not pan out, and Amir is a horrible customer relations person.  If you did any tickets months ago you most likely would have talked to him, if you did I would be surprised if you ended it with a pleasant experience.

TH's competition needs to do nothing to make them look worse.  TH did so bad on hardware they are now going into hosting and buying others hardware.   If you honestly think after all their lies, missed promises, you should keep your order with them then more power to you.  You are truly a loyal TH customer.

In three months want to take bets on if they give out full refunds?

It has been nearly 10 days Amir, where are the working k64's?

Or a video of a k-16 actually hashing with low hw errors like they said.

How else would you recommend I ask for my wired $ back?

With a wire you are kinda screwed on easy options.  No papal, or credit card protection.

I would send a ticket asking for refund (they wont answer but it shows you are trying).   After file a claim with better business bureau, some will give you flack for this but you have every right.  But its a good option most likely TH will not respond to BBB either, but it legitimate companies take BBB seriously and work with them.  Can also file at a state level.

After that there is lawsuit route.  With wire if they don't work with you it will not be easy.
14574  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Off-Topic on: September 08, 2013, 04:06:58 PM
Read email again and say "customers will be able to buy blocks of 500 GigaHash of mining power for $3000 each" so with their "By only demanding a 25% reservation fee, we are reducing their risk significantly".   So their smallest payment will be $750 dollars reservation if they do what they said.

Also might find it interesting that a company that has trouble with facts is so specific on power "2 PetaHash in November".  If they are in talks and no contract has been signed how can you announce a exact amount of power and time frame?

Will be interesting if people actually buy into this.
14575  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Off-Topic on: September 08, 2013, 06:21:59 AM
Now they are going to ship our products in half a year and say "whoops yeah no need for a refund now you have your product"

This is exactly what I'm afraid of.

Yep. Same here. F**cking annoying :/

I really hope they are not reading now all your comments and getting ideas. Lmao

LOL zurg, me too.  but personally, that's exactly what i think this whole 'wait 3 months' nonsense is all about.  we'll see i guess  Grin

This is assuming they are still in business in 3 months.  I think TH being in buisness then all depends if people really fall for the 25 percent up front of their hosting.

They throw a super cheap number for power out.... but they also are in need of cash badly.  They are taking salaries out of your pre-orders among so many other things.  But the money has long dried up from pre-orders of thier hardware.  This is a last ditch effort to try to stay alive.  And all of the people who did not get refunds are funding it (assuming its true at all).

Still funniest part is them in talks (assuming true) with another company to get hardware to host..... seems they dont have faith in their assembly.
14576  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Off-Topic on: September 07, 2013, 03:00:26 AM
Anyone else find it funny that they not only are moving to a hosting company.... but they are not making the hardware themselves.

If they had trust in their abilities they would be building the equipment that their hosting company will have....... assuming they ever make it up to a working hosting company.
14577  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Off-Topic on: September 06, 2013, 11:59:42 AM
Wow in one day TH lol.  First off they claim low HW rate.... but see how they dont show it?   Yea we have a low HW error rate...... yea....

They have failed at making HW, so they now are going host for another company?  Chances are your order money is being used for this deal, assuming it's not another announcement just to stall.

Well played Amir never saw your announcement coming saying you are going to buy other companies hardware and host it.   So does this mean TH is out of the HW making industry assuming they were ever in it?
14578  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Off-Topic on: September 05, 2013, 01:05:30 AM

No matter what you think of BTC, he has every right to file complaints.  They don't anwser anything.  They will make another announcement, but honestly who would trust them again?  And paypal.... even if they want to use it thier account has to look horrible with all the disputes.

They had a lot of promise at the beginning far back.  They have made so many false claims, and announcements it's sad.  The good news is once the cash is gone I don't think Amir will ever be able to work in the Bitcoin hardware industry again.  I hope not to many lose money I feel sorry for the ones who trusted TH with wire transfers and BTC orders.

You are wrong!

It's called having standing. You can't/shouldn't file a complaint with anyone if you were not wronged.

If BTCEIC filed a claim with the BBB after he got his refund then he filed a false claim, which is slander and/or fraud.

On top of that, after he got his refund he promised never to come back to this thread and say a word, so he is a lying, dishonest, slandering douche with an axe to grind for NO REASON.

CASE CLOSED

Look through these pages, granted it is very hard.  There are so many things that could be a possible claim.  For example them asking for 3 more months to provide refunds, they don't have the right to do this.   They never provided product.  How they changed refund policy many read it with old policy, there was no notice of change.   Possible false advertisement as many product announcements just never happen.

You don't have to have standing to us BBB.  This is not a official court case.  If are having problems with a company and they provide zero communication BBB is actually a very valid place to go.

And lets be honest by the time standing is needed for a court case unless their next announcement brings in a lot of cash, there is a decent chance they wont make it.  They admitted to not having enough money for refunds, do you honestly think this will change?

endgame is clear - TH will drag & bullsh** until 180GH miners market price becomes pennies on dollars in term of original price all the buyers paid (given current situation, we not that far off), they will then just purchase and deliver those near worthless hardware to the poor saps who paid with btc/wire transfer and consider it complete, pocketing rest of the $ and walk away clean.

and there is absolutely nothing you can do about it.

if anyone who paid with paypal or credit card and still have not filed for a chargeback at this point, you deserve to lose your money. Sorry to be mean spirited but it's the truth.

Anybody that is defending them at this point is complicit in the theft of your BTC, I would be surprised to learn that bargraphics and the rest are not sock puppets or paid shills.

Shit if I'm getting paid then where's that money at?  Yeah TH is dragging this out..... THEY DON'T HAVE CHIPS FROM AVALON YET!  How can they drag something out if they don't have the stuff to do the dragging?  Your bitch is with Yifu not TH.

They have sample chips.  Where is that K-64?  Or the proper working K-16?  If they did get chips no way they have proper setup to produce and get it done in timely way.  They are going to focus on new announcement....
