Bitching that all these new coins are ruining the profitability of your chosen favorite coin is not in the spirit of open-source, it is in the spirit of greed.
How to up-vote?

i sold to the 4400 buy wall earliere and bought back at once when it was 3600 i made an additional 500 cats by that move im no longer in the hole yeah...
Good for you! I did the same thing with a sell at 4500, but like a bone head, I put it in DOGE and got distracted watching the continual fail that is dogecoin. This CAT takeoff took me by surprise, but at least I got in before it was too late.

I still have all thoe coins, but I also have my skepticism since it seems like literally ANYBODY can jump in and make something to be "OFFICIAL", like the last hard fork...
It didn't happen like that. Go back and read this thread. The official fork was decided by the community (and not any one person) with at least one pool taking it in the chin for the greater good. This is a healthy coin with a healthy community. It only needs to survive the panic.

EDIT you also forget that the value has gone up so in theory it is pretty much the same value per catcoin (maybe a slight bit down but not that much) BTC went up from $800 approx, to 1050 approx.
Alt coins in general are holding their own against fiat. Since the 0.00044 buy wall came down for CAT, it will probably be in free-fall for a while. If CAT survives, you will probably be making money if you buy and hold at any price under 0.001. The question is if you have the guts to hang on. I personally got out as the 0.00045 wall came down, just so I could be in position to buy back in. I believe CAT will survive. If climbing or falling, it still has respectable volume. That's all cryptsy cares about. Value is not an issue for the exchanges, only volume. Cheap CAT + survival + time = profit. You saw that equation here first, folks.

Damn prices going up on cryptsy.. I didnt buy in time under 0.0005 ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif) 0.9 BTC Sell order at 0.000525 right now. Take this sucker's CAT. I would but I'm all in.

There's only 0.3 BTC worth up to 0.0005, but that's still enough for me. I'm just waiting for some more weak hands.
Missed your 0.3 BTC of cheap cat, I bet. Don't blink. These prices won't last for long. 0.00052 is the bottom...for now.

VERY cheap CATs on Cryptsy atm. ![Wink](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/wink.gif) Good luck on getting a buy order filled unless you are trading under $10.00 worth. Everyone is holding. The market won't care about fork-time drama tomorrow. If you can get cheap coins now, get 'em.

I'm going to open up a catcoin wallet on a mac with a static IP and stable internet connection to provide another node. Can someone say how to start the wallet off on the correct blockhain.

so its past and hour well and truly now still no windows wallet another shitty launch for a shitty coin lol seeya guys i will leave this one alone dev team will be gone in a month lol
Every coin that ever launched without a Mac wallet is shitty too, then. Why not just get a real OS where you don't have to fork over half a semester of college tuition just to buy a compiler, then you could compile your own wallet like an adult.

I don't have a MAC but you can try installing the wallet, Help, Debug, Command
setgenerate true -1
getmininginfo to get stats
Should I see something like this? { "blocks" : 878, "currentblocksize" : 1000, "currentblocktx" : 0, "difficulty" : 0.01588587, "errors" : "", "generate" : true, "genproclimit" : -1, "hashespersec" : 13138, "networkhashps" : 9735603, "pooledtx" : 0, "testnet" : false }

How do you solo mine this coin? I have a mac.

So what would happen if a group of people gained 51% of the CENTS out there? Cause it's very odd someone is still buying up trillions as fast as they're being sold at .00000001 XPM even with XPM being double the price now.
I think something big is cooking.
I think cryptsy bundles all of the buy orders that are exactly the same price into the same line. In other words, this could be dozens of people trying to all buy cent at the same price.

All these wankers claiming they are going to dump their cats. But I don't see any sell orders.
Where are your sell orders?

Long term recalibration means people have to make long term decisions based on real world long term spans of interest in real world long term projects.
You want miners, who are by nature opportunists, to work for the long term interest of the coin at their own personal costs? Such miners don't exist because of real-world concerns, like return on investment and opportunity costs. Look at the lead developer. His present real world concerns has put his own coin on the back burner. Don't expect miners to act any differently.

Only speculators and trollbox wankers want fast times. Retarget should always return to 2016.
I've read almost all 200+ posts in this thread, and no one has explained how 2016 equates to a better coin. What is the mechanism by which recalibration time leads to Analogies to snow mobiles and milk tankers won't cut it. Give us cause and effect. Better yet, show some math.

Catcoin has such excellent fundamentals, it will be a success. Catcoins have been cheap all day.
