1461  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: bitcoin.com down wtf? on: October 13, 2015, 03:30:54 PM
Title says it all. Why is it down?

I can tell that there are to many months that the price of bitcoin is almost stable. The few fluctuations had from bitcoin these months are more than normal for a currency. If will continue in this way it will be boring because the people want to see its increase of value.  Wink But is not going down. Maybe the time when was made the main post was a period of being down but even this down wouldn't has been to much. You can follow from the below chart the price of bitcoin since the January of this year and you will see yourself the above I write.

1462  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Can gambling be profitable in long term ? on: October 13, 2015, 03:18:13 PM
If someone which follows the set of rules and be discipline enoff. Can people make 50-100 $ a day just gambling in online casino.....?

If they have unlimited funds yes, if not, i highly doubt it.

I cannot believe this (the part in bold). There are not rules for wining in a casino or generally in gambling. You are telling things without sense. Gambling is only luck and to much money to lose. All this and no one other thing. Even if you have unlimited money to gamble the end will be only one. The loss of all the money of the player.
1463  Economy / Economics / Re: Why Satoshi Nakamoto WON'T win a Nobel Prize on: October 13, 2015, 03:05:54 PM
Who knows? Maybe one day this can be possible. Important to have the Nobel is who proposes the person who pretend the prize. And the age. Rarely is given to new peoples. Satoshi Nakamoto is (must or can be) yet young or middle-aged man. If bitcoin will become important in the future there can be to many Authorities which can take this initiative. And he will become important. Even is an hidden person. But yet there are people which has received the Nobel prize even after their death. So it will be not a surprise if it will be given at an person which is hidden. But there is yet to much time ahead for him in which he can have this prize. But I repeat: important is the destiny of bitcoin as a currency.
1464  Economy / Gambling / Re: Where are you Gambling right Now !? on: October 13, 2015, 02:25:38 PM
So...Where are you Gambling right Now !?

I rarely gamble but whenever I do have some time and I am in the mood to gamble, I usually play minesweeper on birwo casino. Kinda fun to play with since I love this kind of game. Sometimes I do earn profit but mostly lost Grin at least I enjoyed it.

It is the case to tell: Thank God that you gamble rarely. In the case of not rarely and your satisfaction in losing money there must be to much money that you must have to have the possibility to gamble. Then (I can't stay without telling this) it is the first time in my life that I hear someone who enjoy when lose money. I wish you good gamble but more than this to not gamble at all (even you enjoy the lose of money on gambling).  Wink Better to find another way to enjoy your money and not to lose those in this way. Better buy some interesting book or go to see a football match. Not because the money used in the last ways give more joy (even, I'm sure that not) but because the raring times you lose the money gambling can become not rarely. And in this case I don't think that you will enjoy more the money lost. It will be to much.
1465  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: If you had to choose to put 5 BTC into 1 BTC investment, what would that be? on: October 13, 2015, 01:59:34 PM
From my personal experience and the readings i made about the investments of bitcoins on web the best option it is to leave all those in your wallet, to forget about those and to remember only at the moment when it will be the time to do this.
1466  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Paradox # 1 on: October 13, 2015, 01:53:11 PM
I find the using of bitcoin easy and that can be learned by itself (if you want to do seriously this) with the help of an other person which is a little more expert and know how to use it. Needed to understand which is (digital money, internet money, not physical form), needed to open a wallet (can be learned in 2-3 minutes) and to navigate within it to learn how is organised (needed 10-15 minutes depending from the wallet), what is an address of your wallet , where to find it and how to create one (can be learned in 2-3 minutes) and at the end how to send bitcoin. Then to show a site which show the data of blockchain and learn the meaning of the confirmation of the transaction (can be learned within other 2-3 minutes).

Maybe seems to many things but are longer explaining those than doing those.
1467  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The future of Bitcoin on: October 13, 2015, 01:37:23 PM
A very bad point of view of the future of bitcoin. A very bad perspective. Naturally nothing is impossible. Or better, everything is possible. But I don't think that the future of bitcoin will be this end. Maybe because is perfect as an invention (as is told by various developers and specialist of this field). Maybe because is the first materialized product of peer to peer and this technology will be its protector too. Maybe because is to much loved by to many people around the world.

And maybe because (and this is my first choice) being no owned by no one (like the other i-coins which will be owned by the countries to which those belong) it will be the currency of currencies; the point of reference of all i-coins. Every i-coin will be valuated in the international market according to its change with bitcoin. This wonderful thing (if it will happen) it will be the only right place for bitcoin. The place that no one i-coin produced by whatever country can have. That this thing happen needed only one thing. Collaboration and acceptance of its priority by the most important countries firstly and from all the others after. See an idea more expanded and make comments (if you want) in this thread: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1191118.0
1468  Economy / Economics / Re: bitcoin investing on: October 13, 2015, 01:19:25 PM
so, what id like to do is invest bitcoins to a stock or mutual fund account, but am not sure the best way to go about it. any tips/advice?

Bitcoin investing is not a bad move.  It would really be helpful if we remember that one of the risks of investing is that you can lose all your money.

With your part in bold you mean investing buying bitcoin or investing using bitcoin in sites or places when can be invested in bitcoin? If your meaning is the second one can you name please some sites or places when can be invested in bitcoin, your opinion about those and how time have you that have invested in any of those? I'm interested in finding such sites or places because I want to invest myself some of my bitcoins.
1469  Economy / Speculation / Re: When MTGOX creditors are given remaining BTC/fiat what will happen? on: October 13, 2015, 01:08:31 PM
I withdrew BTC and left a little for a FIAT withdrawal to test whether it still worked.  They don't owe me any BTC, only FIAT, but if by some lame chance I did get paid out, I'd prefer that they paid me in BTC even though it's roughly double the price that it was at the time.

FIAT I can earn from many places, but BTC is now a scarce resource that I value more.

It will be the same even you will have the fiat money. You can use those to buy bitcoin and it will be the same. If they will give you bitcoin and not fiat the change will be the same of the exchanges. So the results will be the same whether you will have fiat and whether you will bitcoin from those. Only one thing it is not the same. To not take nothing. This is not the same like having all that you have at MtGox.  Wink
1470  Economy / Economics / Re: Is it better to save money or invest it? on: October 13, 2015, 12:59:24 PM

I think is better to save your money in real estate because the price of property would never down and still getting higher from time to time and dont forget to looking for best area and predict that area will be grow for many years later.

"Dont put all of your eggs on one basket"

And you must not forget that the worst crisis in USA and then spread in all the world (the second worst one after the crisis '30) began exactly from this kind of business named real estate. This is the first thing. The second is that not every business which is good for one country it is such even in every other country. For example in mine this business it is in crisis. No one buy and everyone want to sell. This decrease the prices of the land and houses every year. This story continue at least the last 5 years and have no signs to stop. Maybe is slowing but is yet crisis.
1471  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Discussions about digital currencies in some countries. What future for bitcoin? on: October 13, 2015, 12:46:53 PM
The ultra-advanced, superior technology of the digital currency Bitcoin and it's Blockchain public ledger system are in danger of being co-opted.

Taking a quote from your post, a true bitcoiner will be able to differentiate between a real crypto and something which is not, so I don't think in any way these cryptos (whatever they decide to name it) controlled by a central banks will ever become a threat. If centralization means anything, it has to be the first priority on why we chose to move away from fiat going to cryptocurrencies.

Thanks for the comment Q7.

You think that, whatever will be their new invention, it wouldn't be a risk for the bitcoin. This could be true (according to you) even this new invention will be followed by most of the world countries and bitcoin will be banned from all those countries in order to protect their invention (which maybe is not at all similar to bitcoin but is a peer to peer technology product)?
1472  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What if bitcoin is regulated in China? on: October 13, 2015, 12:40:26 PM
If bitcoin will be regulated in some country (whosoever it will be) this would be a great news for the community of bitcoiners. But if regulated in China this would be the BIG news for everyone which believe in bitcoin. The importance of this country in the world, its increasing power and development make this news really great. After USA maybe China is the most important country which had (if will be so) regulated it.

To not forget that China has the biggest figures about bitcoin. The most number of miners are from China and according to Coindesk, China has a strong competitive advantage in bitcoin mining; it currently accounts for at least 50% of the global bitcoin network mining power and about 3.6 million bitcoin wallets have been created with bitcoin wallet provider Blockchain, while Coinbase has over 2.3 million users.

Let's hope that this news will be followed from other steps and the status of bitcoin in China go from "restricted" in "regulated" and "legal".
1473  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Discussions about digital currencies in some countries. What future for bitcoin? on: October 13, 2015, 12:16:39 PM
Are there coins (if created) a risk for bitcoin? Can compete bitcoin with these coins which will be supported by the most important Authorities of every country?

They'll be about as much of a threat as Mintchip was.  We already use digital currencies supported by the authorities of every country, it's called having a bank account.  Whatever they end up creating will have literally no perceivable benefit to anyone beyond what we've already got today.  No system with an unlimited monetary supply, central points of failure, and inherent shortcomings with fungibility and censorship (which is exactly what they'll come up with) will look like it's worth anything compared to Bitcoin.  All they can do is create a pale and crippled imitation.  There's no contest.

I completely agree with you. Let me add that banksters and governments are a bunch of greedy idiots. They will not stop. They will realize that their digital tokens give them much more possibility of control than paper money as we know it at the moment. When they realize this, they will go all in and they will make people complete slaves. If ever, people will realize at this moment that their governments are there only to rip the skin off of their backs.

MikeyB thank for your comments.

Before asking something to you I want to tell that I don't see the world such "black" as you.  Smiley Even I live in a country which is not to much developed. Our level of corruption here is very high and our politicians (according to me and with few exclusions) are probably the most irresponsible and corrupted people in the world. But I think again that there is good that our money are regulated by our Central Bank and the control of money exist, is managed and controlled by the Central Bank and with other Governmental Agencies. Otherwise all the "black" money will destroy everything here.

Anyhow, I wanted to know from you the answer of the main aim of this thread. What it would be the future of bitcoin if the countries of the main post (and other ones which might follow those in the future) will adopt as a national currency a digital based coin currency and will ban bitcoin to protect their new digital based coin money?

Mintchip is not a digital coin and it is not conceived as a such kind of thing. According to the article given in your post "MintChip was not a digital currency akin to bitcoin, but rather a digital payment mechanism meant to function as an electronic cash that could be transferred between users."

While the idea given from the articles given in the main post suppose that the interested countries want to have a real digital coin and not a "digital payment mechanism meant to function as an electronic cash that could be transferred between users."

You pretend that nor the best scientist of USA (or England) and nor the best scientist of Russia will be able to understand and clone blockchain? Or to create a digital coin like or similar to bitcoin?

I never said they can't create something similar, just that they won't be able to make something on par with Bitcoin, let alone better than.  Their interest is in building something that they can control.  That single, unwavering goal is their immediate downfall because it sends them in a direction that leads to a sub-par service/product.  They will create something that doesn't have has a fixed supply so they can keep printing money out of thin air.  They will create something that has a central point of failure and collects mountains of personal information which will be leaked or hacked at some point.  They will create something that can block or freeze transactions.  For example, something that permits us to donate to wikileaks is clearly not in their interest, so they're not going to allow that.  All of these things and more become an immediate downside compared to Bitcoin because they won't surrender control.  I don't care what they're going to make or how dissimilar it might be to Mintchip, because it's still going to be inferior in every way, shape and form.  There's no contest.

Everything clear what you want to tell. I want to know one last opinion from you. If those countries ban bitcoin to protect their national digital coin currency (and if this practice can be followed in time from most of the other countries; it is normal to be so because the other countries normally follow the countries named at the main post because those are the most developed and leaders in the world) what future can be for bitcoin?

It's a big "if", but if a large number of countries decided to ban Bitcoin, it would largely depend on what's happening in the economies of those countries.  If it's a strong economy and people feel secure in that system, it could potentially spell bad news for Bitcoin.  But the more likely scenario is that most nations continue with their current (stupid) trend of inflating the money supply in their hostile little race to the bottom and people become increasingly disillusioned with government controlled money and start looking for an alternative to protect their wealth.  If remaining within the confines of the law means you get wiped out financially, there's little incentive to obey.

The more the authorities prove themselves to be financially illiterate, the stronger the case for Bitcoin becomes.  The debt monster feeding charade won't last forever.

Thanks for your thoughts. I invite you (if you find interesting) to continue your participation in this thread making free interpretations about the opinion of the others (or even mine).
1475  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Discussions about digital currencies in some countries. What future for bitcoin? on: October 13, 2015, 11:51:40 AM
I really think that what governments should be doing is working together to make BTC an acceptable alternative form of payment, do they not care about one's financial freedom?

Does the wolf care about the sheep that it eats? Not really.

The governments only purpose is to achieve total control over the population, and they are doing a very good job about that, you have to admit.

First is not Government which have to do with the money but the Central Bank of the country or a similar Authority (which regulate and manage this regulation). But even if it will be Government the Authority which regulate and make the rules of the money you want to tell that in a normal and developed country there is no need to have at all control about the money?

1477  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Buying Bitcoin was a worst decision of my life on: October 13, 2015, 11:28:38 AM
How many of you can admit that buying Bitcoin was a worst decision of your life? I can. I'm approximately -50% in fiat funds now.
Sooner or later some type of bank chain or coin will come and gain mass adoption - while bitcoin still remaining a geek coin
to buy weed.
I know this forum is more like a cult than a information channel what comes to honest opinions but I know there's others
on this forum who feel the same, almost all of us. Don't let your cult believer ego come in the way.

I understand your situation. Or at least I can understand someone who wanted to earn doing in investment and seeing that the investment did not go in the desired way. I had such situation in my life. Fortunately I bought my bitcoins (all those which have bought) at a better price like that the actual and I am about +50% in profit if I sell those in this moment. So my words would be misinterpreted by you. We are not in the same situation and you can tell that my below words are told because I am in profit. Anyhow I will tell those.

You are in loss. But you will feel better for sure if, at the same time, you will have FAITH. Faith in bitcoin as the first and the best known materialization of the disruptive technology peer to peer from which was invented. This technology is attracting day by day the attention of the best scientist of the world and even the attention of important Governments and Monetary Authorities such USA, England, Russia etc. which want to use it. I can give links with articles which testify that these countries are studying this technology with the aim to use it. Or you can find those yourself doing a simple search in internet with google.

The faith will help you to believe in more better situation of bitcoin.

The technology and the big and increasing interest about it will give you the hope that it will not leave that its "first child" go in vain.

Believing and hoping you will find yourself in a totally different situation. At least you will not think more that the bought of your bitcoins was not the worst decision of your life.

Forget your bitcoins in their wallet, wait, believe and hope and maybe the bought of bitcoins one day will become the best decision of your life.
1478  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How much can you earn with gambling? on: October 13, 2015, 08:02:12 AM
I just earn back all of my money may be around 12 btc back with only a little profit. I want to gamble again but I still confuse want to do it or not  Grin

Enjoy that which you won and leave gambling. It is the best way to have a little satisfy from that you have made. Otherwise you will hate for sure one day it. If you will try to gamble again you will lose all those. The probability to win again are very few. The luck will be not always by your side.

Or he can gamble with what he can afford to lose, not essentially the whole amount won but some bitcoins, indeed it's a story of luck, but there is a chance to win something also , so he can try his luck

He had his luck with bitcoin earned. If he will continue to gamble again he will spent all the money because he will lose for sure that amount you suggest to try and will want to have again that. In this way few after few he will lose all his money: the profit and his money. With gambling there is only one end. The loss of ALL the money.

He should not gamble at all. And not only him but even you which give such advices.

Only if you are an owner of this kind of businesses (and only in this case) your suggestion make sense: you need players and suggest the others to play.

It was active in your house or in your mind? Because here in this thread there is nothing from him. Even, there are no posts at all made two days ago. Today is October, 13 and there are no posts in October, 11. Where have you found its activity?

How much are you paid to make this (your) post?

it mean he is here 2 days ago but unfortunately he doesn't do anything in this thread

This is the fact that he don't care about this thread. He had that he wanted (the posts from some of us) and "forgot" that must keep the word given or better to give the bitcoins to the people who made the posts. He will never give that bitcoins to no one of them. I don't pretend nothing because I deleted mine but it is about the others.
