14601  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: FIFA WORLD CUP 2018? on: May 05, 2018, 06:31:17 AM
"Favourites to win the 2018 World Cup : Germany, Brazil, France, Spain.

World Cup 2018 Outsiders : Argentina, Portugal, Belgiun.

World Cup 2018 underdogs : England, Uruguay, Croatia.

World Cup 2018 long-shots : Senegal, Egypt, Russia, Denmark, Iceland, Panama."

I'd agree with you on all the four favorites. And for outsiders, I'd add England along with Argentina, Portugal and Belgium. My choice for underdogs would be Russia and Colombia in addition to Uruguay and Croatia. Long shots will be Mexico, Denmark, Switzerland and Sweden.
14602  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Cricket match prediction discussions on: May 05, 2018, 06:28:21 AM
Any guessing who will end up in the last position of the points table in this season? Is it RCB or DD or MI?

My guessing will be DD.

Before the tournament I was thinking that it will be the RCB. While the other teams have 11 players playing for them, the RCB has only one (Virat Kohli). But it is nice to see some good competition for the last place, especially from the Delhi Daredevils.

Now Delhi Daredevils team totally changed, did you see how they played last 3 games, especially new captain Iyer and wicketkeeper pant. i don't know whether they will come to play off or not but they will definitely not take the last position.

Today match Kings XI Punjab vs Mumbai Indians, last chance for MI today also if they lose then they will out from this tournament. I guess Punjab will win.

Iyer and Pant have been batting brilliantly, but it takes all the 11 players to perform if DD want to win matches. Unfortunately for them, players such as Gambhir and Maxwell are out of form. Apart from Boult, their bowling attack also looks ordinary.
14603  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: ETH price recovering slowly on: May 05, 2018, 06:24:19 AM
Against BTC, the ETH exchange rates have increased by more than 100% during the past 4 weeks. I am not sure whether this rally can be sustained or not, but as of now it looks like the trend for ETH is positive.
14604  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Is now a good time to invest in ICO? on: May 05, 2018, 06:17:37 AM
I don't think so. Many of the ICOs which come out right now are either terribly over-priced, or outright scams. The best opportunity to invest in the ICOs was 6-7 months back, when many of them were reasonably priced.
14605  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Privacy coins list - which one is the best ?? on: May 05, 2018, 06:15:54 AM
Monero used to be one of my favorite coins out there, followed by Verge. But XMR is not showing much traction lately, which forced me to look for other alternatives. I have found both Deep Onion and Electroneum to be interesting.
14606  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Should I invest in BTC, Altcoin, or ICO on: May 05, 2018, 05:49:53 AM
In terms of risk, the ICOs are the most risky and BTC is the least risky out of the three options. Established alts such as XMR, LTC and ETH will come somewhere in between. So make the decision based on your risk-taking capacity.
14607  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why people try to create their own coins? on: May 05, 2018, 05:45:46 AM
There are so many coins, but many of them just a copy of anothers. Why they waste their time for nothing? Grin

Some people have interesting and unique ideas which they want to implement. The problem arises when the others may not agree to their idea, for various reasons. So the only option left here is to fork an existing coin, or to create a new coin from the scratch.
14608  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do you still use MEW? on: May 05, 2018, 05:38:26 AM
Myetherwallet for Ethereum users is like Blockchain.info for Bitcoin users. Obviously it is not 100% perfect, but when compared to the other alternatives available, we'll still use it. I am using MEW for the past 2 years, and haven't faced an issue till now.
14609  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How to mine altcoins? on: May 05, 2018, 05:31:40 AM
If you don't have a mining rig, then go for POS mining. Right now the most profitable alts which allow POS mining are:

1. Dash
2. NEO
3. PIVX
4. Deep Onion
5. OK Cash
6. NAV
7. Stratis
8. Reddcoin
14610  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Why gambling is portrayed negatively almost everywhere? on: May 04, 2018, 07:48:55 AM
I am not that surprised that gambling is portrayed negatively in most of the occasions. I have seen before my own eyes how some of my friends got ruined financially as a result of their addiction to gambling. Addiction is the problem, but if you start gambling then it is very difficult to stay away from it.
14611  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: FIFA WORLD CUP 2018? on: May 04, 2018, 07:45:56 AM
Why so much buzz about Croatia? They are a good team... but I can't imagine them winning this year's world cup. They may gave a good performance, like what Iceland did during the 2016 Euro Cup (bating England in PQF).

14613  Other / Politics & Society / Re: The Korean War Will Probably End, Largely Thanks to Donald Trump on: May 04, 2018, 07:36:53 AM
Still don't understand what Trump has done to receive all that credit. He was the one who was trying to provoke the third world war, by conducting military exercises so close to the North Korean border. If anyone deserves credit, then it is going to be Kim Jong Un and Moon Jae In.
14614  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Biggest Problem of your Country ?? on: May 04, 2018, 07:29:19 AM
We so much problem here in our country but our president is continuing to solve this kind of problem such as corrupt officials in the government, drugs, poverty, education and crimes. But our government was stricly inforce the law in the country.

Here in India also, we have a prime minister (Narendra Modi) who is working for the country. But the problem is that the corrupt members of the opposition and some from his own party are hell-bent on creating obstacles and road-blocks in his path.
14615  Other / Off-topic / Re: Transgenders. on: May 04, 2018, 07:27:53 AM
Somewhere I read that more than 25% of the trans-genders are HIV positive. If that is true, then it is not a lifestyle that we should be promoting. Normal HIV prevalence is around 0.025%, which means that their prevalence is a thousand times higher.

The HIV prevalence among the transgenders is even higher than the gays and lesbians, due to their practice of having multiple sexual partners, preference for anal sex, and the refusal to use condoms. A lot many of them tend to me injecting drug users as well.
14616  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Zombie drugs on: May 04, 2018, 07:26:09 AM
I haven't heard it yet in our country but if really there is such kind of drugs it would be dangerous and it can be harmful to all... like epidemics once it spread...it is very important for us to learn about these drugs, we have to be cautious to every medicine we take in also and often times those who manufactures drugs fail to inform people about the side effect of the medicine they sell they just said that it can cure this and that diseases but behind it there is harmful effect in our body.

Synthetic drugs are always harmful than the natural drugs. That is why I have argued for relaxed governmental  restrictions on drugs such as weed, while continuing them with artificial and synthetic drugs such as methamphetamine and spice.
14617  Other / Politics & Society / Re: A lot of people seem to hate the US without knowing anything about it on: May 04, 2018, 07:23:31 AM
One of these days the US will cut itself off from the world and let it fall apart. It has already started

Oh.. please do that. The world will be a much more peaceful and calmer place to live, without the evil influence of the United States. The Americans have invaded countless third world nations and have sponsored thousands of terrorist organizations including the Taliban in Afghanistan, ISIS in Syria and the AUC in Colombia. Please go away and leave the world in peace.

You say that now. But how many American troops are stationed in your country?

None. I am residing in India and there are no American troops stationed in my country. We don't want any foreign troops here and we know how to take care of our own affairs. The presence of American troops trigger all sorts of social perversities, such as prostitution and drug abuse. Just ask anyone from the Philippines or Japan about these bases.
14618  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Expelling Russian diplomats because of what Russia "might" have done on: May 04, 2018, 07:21:34 AM
First of all, there is hardly any evidence to prove that it was Russia which was behind the poisoning of Skripal and his daughter in London. And secondly, this is something that the western agencies such as the MI6, CIA and the Mossad has done in the past.
14619  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The longer the bounty, the fewer the earnings? on: May 04, 2018, 06:54:54 AM
My friend just told me recently that he is leaving the bounty that we both joined last January. The ICO has been delayed many times and it is getting longer. He said that the longer the bounty period of an ICO, the fewer the coins that you will earn. So it is true based from your experience? Should I also leave or stay?

This has happened to me as well. Originally the bounty campaign was supposed to run for 1 month, but they extended it by another 3 months. The reward remains the same, so in the end it is the participants who lose out.
14620  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What is your biggest regrets in cryptocurrency? on: May 04, 2018, 06:50:04 AM
Obviously for everyone here, the biggest regret would be that they didn't invested in crypto in 2009 or 2010. Apart from that my biggest regret is that I ignored some of the altcoins such as ETH and ADA. My friend recommended ETH to me when the exchange rate was like BTC0.001 per coin. But I chose to ignore it at that time.
