14704  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer - MtGoxUSD wall movement tracker on: February 28, 2013, 04:23:36 AM
bitcoin is very much and always has been undervalued, we all know it has the potential to go to 1000$ a coin due to moderate success, but prices have been kept low all this time because the perceived risk was crazy high and early adopters were cashing out a few million dollars, this perceived risk appears to be less and less of a concern these days... and investors (I'm taking real investors, not a bunch of little users buying 1000$ worth...) are now willing to come aboard...

we could very well see 1000$ bitcoins b4 the end of the year.

Uh oh. Are you becoming slightly bullish? I guess I need to sell my bitcoins now!

lol. I could see triple digits in 1-2 years, but four digits?! That's still two orders of magnitude away.. let's not get ahead of ourselves.

if bitcoin is viewed as a new commodity / money, anything is possible....
14705  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer - MtGoxUSD wall movement tracker on: February 28, 2013, 04:17:55 AM
i sold out to the highest bidder, i lost my bet, whats done is done... i can't take it back and theirs no use being in denial anymore.

bitcoin is being is now being priced by real big shot investors.

we will continue to move up... 50$ is a given 100$ is inevitable and 1000$ is the target  Cool

Money that was slowly buying bitcoin got tired of slow accumulation and so it was just DUMPED. this money was supporting an already very unstable 31.xx but its not anymore! so, naturally we will go down....

No way.

lol i reread and deleted it...

looks like were moving up  Smiley
14708  Economy / Speculation / Re: We broke 32!! on: February 28, 2013, 01:27:37 AM
I apologize for all the bearish bullshit lately, I was desperately trying to win my bet and at the same time trying to convince myself that taking some profits was OK...

clearly i have acted in a most selfish way, I will be punished with alot of useless fiat! ( could be worst ...  Grin )

now where the hell am i going to invest my profits?? RRSP?

 Cry Cry Cry

I really hope we don't break the all-time high today.

It'll be much more amusing/exciting if it happens at the 11th hour tomorrow Cheesy

lol

Man Adam I didn't think you were going to make it but your bet is looking pretty good right now isn't it?  Cheesy

50cents away, ~26hours to go, exciting!

14717  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin to Wall Street ? on: February 27, 2013, 07:41:32 PM

I see what you mean. No official report from mtGox, nothing on the coinLab website (and I wouldn't particularly trust my funds with a mining pool service). When I first read it, I kept thinking coinBase instead, since they are already known to store coins offline in a bank vault, and they already have a ton of US customers.  Huh

right,

one thing is for sure, people are thinking about these things and want to see bitcoin as a regulated commodity. and a large part of this community disagrees with this philosophy. ( it sometimes feels like 'they' are trying to do this to push adoption... its no longer about making sound money, its about making money period. ) so I think a hard-fork or something similar is coming, and it will have very little to do with block size limit.
14718  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin to Wall Street ? on: February 27, 2013, 05:18:58 PM

this isn't news, this is rumor...
14719  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin to Wall Street ? on: February 27, 2013, 04:08:51 PM
lolz at this "news"

Oh, dang. This must be the new bear tactic. "Uh oh, we can't call lower prices any more! Just try to blow off everything as unimportant! That'll do the trick!"

 Cool
14720  Economy / Speculation / Re: [Where are the Bulls now?] Who's buying at 31.20? on: February 27, 2013, 03:58:23 PM
I was about to buy(Fiat's worth not whole BTCs) to the tune of a few hundred dollars but BitInstant isn't doing direct to address so as of yet I'm just playing with the money on my MtGox account.

I will buy during the week maybe, $400 or abit above that.

here's the big question...

why are you going to buy?

To log on the Silk Road.  Wink

So we do not consider you a 1%er you are one of the 9%er's.    Wink

Could you clarify which category the other %ers are?

bitcoiners who buy drugs with bitcoin
