29.9->30.1 may be the biggest wall we see for a long time.

Im quite surprised that it doesnt seem to be fake actually.

You really can't tell until someone starts eating at it. Right now, it seems like a decent play, hover around 29.80 - 29.90, come close to the wall but don't touch it, and let the lemmings put up their 200-400 BTC for sale every time you pull back a bit.

At some point yesterday I believe there was about 15,000 sitting waiting to be bought at 30.00 / BTC

But anyway, you are right, won't know how real it is until someone tries taking a chunk out.

it could be that 1000's of bitcoin are being slowly sold off just below 30, with about 100,000BTC total to sell.... (read: wake up, the real walls are not shown! )

You can say the same thing for bid side of the order book.

ya, i can see feel fake bids being shown and real asks being hidden.

watch out.  Grin

what is a bull

a bull:
thinks price will go up

a bear:
thinks price will go down

a bullish bear:
thinks the price will go up long term but is to damn high right now and will sell a few coins to profit off the crazy swing up

a bearish bull:
thinks the price will one day be close or near 0, but feels he can safely can make a profit buying holding and then selling in the short / mid term.

a bearish bullish sheep:
this guy sells low and buys high all the time.  Cheesy

14791  Economy / Speculation / Re: Sorry to inform you, the current rally is over now... or very soon. on: February 21, 2013, 06:25:16 PM

Just need someone to buy up those last 8000 BTC:

their will be 8000 more at 31

haven't you noticed this whole rally has been buy out one more wall and its going to explode UP, one more wall , one more wall , one more wall ,one more wall.

Hey Adam, we went from 12 to almost 30... it's already exploded up! Don't fight it, man, you'll just get hurt.  Grin

ya every wall bought was reward with 1$ UP

this wall is the same, but don't go pretending that their are no more bitcoins to be bought the higher we go...quite the opposite...

14793  Economy / Speculation / Re: [Poll] Where are we in the Investor's Emotion Cycle? on: February 21, 2013, 05:59:07 PM
we pasted Euphoria.. and the price did somthing odd, it kept going UP!

now we have mass Anxiety everyone is convinced they know what will happen next UP or DOWN, and all of them pretend that their prediction alleviates their Anxiety.

the few people still in Euphoria a the ones hitting the buy button  Wink
14794  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bear post of the Day on: February 21, 2013, 01:40:57 AM
We have to wait to find out anyway Wink

One thing I have not mentioned about asicminer is that they are supposed to pay out only till the IPO price, which makes this a highly questionable investment imo.
I cannot fathom why anybody would buy this considering they do nothing else than mining.

Only pay till IPO price? That's incorrect. They pay IPO price in full first. Then shares pay 1/400000 of profits each as supposed. They just guarantee to pay IPO price before taking any profit for themselves for the shares they've kept for themselves.

no look again

they pay don't pay dividends! not really, they pay IPO price in full...
after that your holding on the a stock that wont pay dividends...

Seriously? Where did everyone take that info?
reading their thread....

your right they will need to slipt any "profit" they make
but they can take a salary and always choose to invest the profits back in and expand the company,
in which case their will never be any dividends.

14796  Economy / Speculation / Re: [Poll] Will we see single digits again this year? on: February 20, 2013, 11:49:17 PM
singles pfff no way in hell, or... well... oh shit maybe!  Shocked
14797  Economy / Speculation / Re: [poll] are you sure that we will never see 25$ bitcoins ever again? on: February 20, 2013, 11:25:37 PM
Are you or are you not sure that we will never not see $25 Bitcoins again?
- yes I'm not sure

still kinda confusing   Tongue

oh well shitty poll is shitty...
14798  Economy / Speculation / Re: [poll] are you sure that we will never see 25$ bitcoins ever again? on: February 20, 2013, 11:11:09 PM
You have your poll worded rather confusingly. Why are there two options for 50%? Also, having the poll question as a negative is confusing.

Better would be:

Poll question: How confident are you that bitcoins will drop below $25 at some point in the future?

- 100% Bitcoins will definitely fall below $25
- 75%
- 50% they may or may not drop below $25
- 25%
- 0% Bitcoins will never fall below $25
i want to see:
how many poeple think t wont drop below 25 and how sure
how many poeple think it  will  drop below 25 and how sure.

it is somewhat confusing... but the damage is done  Tongue

Man, there is seriously a flood of money pouring into the system right now.  There's never been a better time to sell thousands of BTCs if you have that many.

Is it tho? if you had 1000s of coins you want to pay the fees? you realize that 1000 coinsnow is 29,000, if it drops only a few dollars you stand to gain what a couple grand? what if your wrong? now you have to buy back inat a loss, Mind you that this isnt 100s of dollars we are talking about, this loss isnot a loss like a normal average run of the mill income person, this loss is SHITTY,

risk and reward bro, if somene who has that many wants to stab at it for the small gains they are more than welcome to do it,

people buying 50K+ bitcoin would be foolish not to start selling it off slowly when their bet actually pays off...
doing Number_of_coins * MTGOX_last_price != what you'd get when you finally capitalize on your risky investment.

... just putting up a 50K ask wall would mean 5% or less unrealized "profit" ...

What about a 10k Btc ask wall?

10k Btc ask wall placed at 29.85 will cause a price crash down to 28.85
