1481  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Mined Block Calculation | Mining Difficulty on: August 29, 2019, 10:45:00 AM
If this is the case then why are extra blocks mined? That to equal to 223 days. Please check my complete question.

I haven't seen it before since you edited your post. It can also work the other way. In one hour, more than 6 blocks can be found. Since Bitcoin difficulty has been growing for most of the time, doesn't that mean that more than 2016 blocks were mined (almost) every 2 weeks? After 10 years, it could add up to such a huge number.
1482  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: The Lightning Network FAQ on: August 29, 2019, 10:36:06 AM
Yesterday, Andreas Antonopoulos announced on his YouTube account that "Mastering the Lightning Network" is going to be released next year! It will be possible to contribute on Github to the book and proofread it before it is released. The work on it will start in the middle of September.
1483  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Mined Block Calculation | Mining Difficulty on: August 29, 2019, 10:22:54 AM
As per my understanding the block mining difficulty is adjusted based on the number of blocks mined in the last 14 days(i.e., last 2016 blocks). If every 10 mins a block is easily mined then the difficulty increases and if it is taking more than 10 min to mine a block then the difficulty is reduced.

10 minutes on average between blocks is the target. It's not that uncommon to see blocks solved one after another. The time to mine 2016 blocks in 2 weeks is what matters in the difficulty formula.

1hr = 6 blocks.
24hrs(1day) = 144 blocks.
365 days(1 year)

Replace = with ~. Sometimes, no new blocks are found for 30-40 minutes.
1484  Local / Polski / Nowe forum; split z: Jak zmienić wygląd Bitcointalk na ciemny (Dark Theme)? on: August 29, 2019, 09:34:39 AM

1485  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: 0 sat/byte fee ? on: August 28, 2019, 10:40:37 PM
If this was real or possible then the whole Bitcoin mining industry would collapse.
Why would you want to do this anyway and change the status quo?

It wouldn't collapse. Miners are still the ones who choose which transactions get to be included in the block they mine. First Bitcoin transactions were basically free of charge because of no block limit and empty blocks.
1486  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: S/HDD FOR Bitcoin Core on: August 28, 2019, 03:14:32 PM
How to speed up loading?
"scan" ~20 mins at M2 960 PRO ssd

20 minutes is a reasonable time for a rescan. The image seems to be cut and I can't see on which step the program is stuck. Did you remove -rescan from your config or startup parameters?
1487  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: Electrum error: not enough Credit on: August 28, 2019, 01:27:55 PM
It's about 20Euros in BTC I've got in my Electrum wallet, it can't be that the amount is stuck there and I'm unable to transfer, right?

Can you see the 'Max' button next to the 'Amount'? Once you click it, you should be able to adjust the fee manually. 'Credit is too low' doesn't sound like Electrum error.
1488  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: Electrum 3.3.4 on: August 27, 2019, 07:32:52 PM
Or should i go download the newest electrum version on the site instead?

You will be fine. This version is not vulnerable to phishing. Anyway, you wouldn't fall for it since you know about it and it only appears when sending a transaction while being connected to a malicious server. In case you decided to update Electrum, download it from the official website and verify the installer.
1489  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: [coinb.in] Open Source, Multi Signature, HD Wallet, SegWit/Bech32 and more! on: August 27, 2019, 06:45:48 PM
I'm aware of earn.com, and I stopped using them because of their overestimation. I find coinb.in to be cheaper and more accurate.

Coinb.in's fee estimation has stopped working. Look at the block height. It shows that #590168 is the latest block, but it was mined 12 days ago.
1490  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: 3.3.8 downloaded, coins missing? on: August 27, 2019, 11:09:30 AM
Should I go to File, New/Restore and enter the 12 word phrase?

Yes, create a new standard wallet and select 'I already have a seed'. Enter it and you will be asked to select the derivation path. Try selecting 'legacy (p2pkh)' and you should see your balance after a moment. If not, create a new wallet once again, enter the words and then select 'native SegWit (p2wpkh)' instead.
1491  Bitcoin / Armory / Re: Armory stuck on "Preparing Databases" on: August 27, 2019, 11:02:41 AM
Yup there is a "blocks" folder as well as "chainstate" and "wallets" folder in D:\BitcoinCore. I'm also nearly certain the blockchain was downloaded to this drive and not my main one as i now have 200GB less space on my hdd.

I examined the log once again and it looks like you tried setting the 'setSatoshiDir' to 'D:\BitcoinBase', 'D:\BitcoinBase\blocks' and 'D:\BitcoinCore'. You forgot about 'D:\BitcoinCore\blocks'. Give it a try.
1492  Bitcoin / Armory / Re: Armory stuck on "Preparing Databases" on: August 27, 2019, 10:25:58 AM
I'm confused, I have btc core installed in its own folder D:\BitcoinCore, in that folder there is the blocks folder. I tried to load armory with D:\BitcoinCore\blocks and just D:\BitcoinCore as the datadir but after both attempts armory is still preparing databases.

Paste the log again. It looks like you can set the database path in the Armory settings since the 0.96.5 update. It might have not been overwritten by the parameter. Can you look for it?
1493  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: 3.3.8 downloaded, coins missing? on: August 27, 2019, 10:03:24 AM
3.  I did not import my wallet, I downloaded the new version - where do I go to sync?

When you created your wallet for the first time, you were given a mnemonic phrase (12 words) which you were supposed to write down. These words can be used to recover your wallet. While creating a new wallet, select 'I already have a seed' and enter them. If you lost them then you won't be able to recover your coins unless you have a copy of your wallet file.
1494  Bitcoin / Armory / Re: Armory stuck on "Preparing Databases" on: August 27, 2019, 09:46:36 AM
Code:
2019-08-27 02:57:32 (ERROR) -- BDM.pyc:197 - DB error: C:\Users\John\AppData\Roaming/Bitcoin/blocks is not a valid path

Armory tries to access the folder where Bitcoin Core stores the block database by default. Right-click on your Armory shortcut, select properties and add the following parameter in the 'Target' after the .exe

Code:
 --satoshi-datadir=<datadir>

Change the datadir to the same path as you set after installing Bitcoin Core, for example, D:\Programs\Bitcoin. 'blocks' folder should be located there.

1495  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: 3.3.8 downloaded, coins missing? on: August 27, 2019, 09:06:04 AM
My coins do not reflect in my wallet.  Can you please assist?

Do you have the same addresses as before? Do they start with the same number or letter (1, 3 or bc1)? It sounds like you either created a new wallet and not entered your mnemonic phrase (12 words) or you selected a wrong derivation path while importing your wallet.
1496  Bitcoin / Armory / Re: Armory stuck on "Preparing Databases" on: August 27, 2019, 08:05:21 AM
Post your logs. You can export them by clicking 'File' -> 'Export Log File'. It will be much easier to troubleshoot if we know on what step exactly the wallet is stuck. Did you change any settings in Bitcoin Core config file or specified its location?
1497  Bitcoin / Wallet software / Re: Help moving BTC out of a LN channel through the eclair app needed on: August 25, 2019, 10:39:14 AM
The icon is not lit up and won’t do anything atm ..I prob do need to update. Going to do that now. Thx!!

Here you can see the on-chain address of the channel. No transactions were sent from it. Once you update your wallet, you will have to wait 144 blocks (~1 day) as stated in the image you posted.
1498  Bitcoin / Wallet software / Re: Help moving BTC out of a LN channel through the eclair app needed on: August 25, 2019, 10:21:40 AM
So some funds are avail and some are stuck ? I can’t see anything that allows me to send coins out. Help is much much appreciated!!

Can you tap on that channel and look for any refund related values? You should be able to see refund delays for remote and local uncooperative closes, and the block height after which the closing transaction will be broadcast.

Edit: I haven't seen the second image. Give me a minute to examine it.
1499  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Avast deleted block blk00129.dat from my chainlist on: August 25, 2019, 08:49:51 AM
Add Bitcoin data directory to exclusions. Check if that block has been moved to quarantine. You might be able to recover it. Here is the reason why Avast was triggered.

It's actually not because of randomness. People have been intentionally embedding viruses (or their signatures) in the blockchain so that antivirus software are triggered.
1500  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Which means "there are 2 blockchains with result(s) to your search" on: August 25, 2019, 07:49:53 AM
I enter my address in the blockchain browser, and it gives me "there are 2 blockchains with result(s) to your search". What it means?

Blockchain.info displays results for both Bitcoin and Bitcoin Cash. You might own some BCH coins if you had BTC on that address when the chain was forked (1st August 2017). Ignore it and select Bitcoin if you are not interested in Bitcoin Cash.
