So I have a little story of good luck / bad luck that happened to me this month (so far). A couple weeks ago my spare pc (magi miner) decided it was time to let out the magic smoke known as a motherboard and power supply and gave up the ghost. So I spent 2 days building another spare out of spare parts, almost identical, and got it back up and mining. I happen to be using that spare as my main system atm, read on. A couple days after that, windows updates tried to kill my main system, recovered via a cloned drive I had made a month before, made a new clone. The very next day AMD driver update came out and absolutely bricked the same pc, no devices, no usb, no keyboard or mouse, I could start it but could not get anywhere, recovered via the clone drive again, luckily these are SSD's so it doesn't take too long but still. Ok that was last week. Yesterday, on my main pc, I'm minding my own business watching some gaming videos and my pc pops and turns off, and will not power up again. Swap out the power supply, no change (twice), so my main pc let out the magic dust and is toast. So I pull the SSD, plug it into my spare as a data drive, copy all current data to the spare so I can at least do what I need to do, (order 2 new motherboards online), and here I am getting ready to make a current cloned drive of this system so I don't lose yet more time if something else goes wrong. Point is - always have a backup and a backup of the backup if at all possible. I had my wallets backup up and did not lose anything other than time  Just thought I'd share and remind everyone to have a backup, oh, and have a Merry Christmas! Wow, lucky you had a backup of your wallet.dat. I hope the badluck with your hardware will be over now for a long time. Im not mining on my main pc, i need it for gaming and other hardwork  Now that's a kool avatar Goldlabel! Wow Redrover thats something. Very very good you had a backup. Hope you will have no problems with your computers in 2017. And i hope me and my family will have a year without accidents. |

Volume looks nice on both big exchanges!
Just got back from an evening out and was great to see many buy and sell orders filled, and my latest tranche of DOGE were also sold and have now been added to the liquidity. There is a lot of support on the buy side now, and the sell side gets eaten up quite quickly. Cool stuff, and great work from everybody =) I received a message from Bittrex. They also like Magi and would give XMG the option to stay there. Magi need to continue with the higher volume on Bittrex but is safe for now! Awesome news! I'm certainly going to be keeping up with increasing the liquidity on there, its way more important to have trex working well than nova and cryptopia - I'll have to address the liquidity on those sites later on after a more sustained period of polo and trex volume being higher. Volume was way down yesterday - lets hope it can pick up again in the week or we'll be going around in circles to keep Trex alive. Right. Think Magi also should work on new merchants and improvements. I hope our awesome dev will come with some good help soon. With those there will automatic follow more volume and attention for XMG. |

if i am not mistaken, this coin has on-going promotion at bitcoingarden, promotional rewards catch the attention of the community and also catches the attentions of those crypto-lovers, being unique and strong coin plus a constant promotional methods will make this coin go further. Agreed, I often make the odd reference to Magi when talking on other threads to subversively get a bit more interest in the coin. Magi is a great coin - but needs more people to know about it, and also needs liquidity across all exchanges that it is on. Block rewards have been very good over the last week or two. XMG is still tradeable on bittrex - lets hope it has not been delisted. fingers crossed. I guess we will see the situation in the morning... The situation is still looking good so far - and I got another tranche of DOGE through this morning to convert into XMG on Bittrex, still no email back from the support team... I also received no response from Bittrex yet. Hope they will be ok for our awesome Magi. |

The last few days volume looks better. More than 0.5btc on Bittrex. Think we could use a little more to make sure Magi will be safe on Bittrex.
Liquidity and volume has improved a bit further today (today's volume now exceeds that on Polo), sell side of the order book is looking pretty strong, buy side could do with a bit more. I have some more DOGE orders which should be filled in the next day or two which I can use to add a bit more to the buy column. Iam also still working on this. For all Magi community members it would be good if Magi could stay on Bittrex. Special with the Proof of Interest campaign IV coming in the last period. There will be more traiding in the last period because the more XMG people have in their wallets the higher the Interest. |
