I posted earlier this morning that I thought something was wrong at minerclaim. Their total hashrate is somehow not all going to the network. I don't know how that is possible but the numbers don't add up. I wouldn't worry about this coin forking again, if it does, the people mining on the wrong fork have no one to blame but themselves. Its been decided what node decides the proper chain.
And you guys remember: there's still no fix for this forking issue. As Joe said before, this was the first of two steps: to make the chain move again, and "pin" it to a temporary master peer. A fork was likely to happen, but now we should move to step 2 and find where the problem is. Also remember that minining is still risky at this point as you can lose some or everything you mine (on pool or solo). Good reminder amigo. |

I'd mention that the release just posted is a temporary solution to keep the chain and mining going, not a FIX. We'll make efforts on the 2nd step of getting a fix ASAP.
For this reason, I recommend do not ask exchanges to bring up the wallet, and when possible place least tickets regarding the issues. We apologize for the trouble. What I'm saying is that we'd be aware of minimizing exchanges' efforts on this incident, or we end up a high probability of worse situation.
At this point, again I recommend keeping exchange wallet in maintenance mode until a final FIX is out.

Thanks, Thats true. If no one does anything then it definately will be wrong. Therefore is our philosofy that we at least is doing it. And there will be a much more fair sharing of the mining rewards in TrasMaMod XMG pool. So I do recommend all other pool owners to also do something equal as this to help to create a fair and good / strong coin. Very good! This will be appriciated a lot. Maybe Magi team can look into the options of a new Proof of mining campaign! |

Could be .. It's quite annoying. I don't think people actually read the paper of MAGI ( https://arxiv.org/pdf/1409.7948v1.pdf) At the current hashrate, the difficulty lies around 2.8 meaning that the reward is almost 0. So I guess those botnets/server farms will leave soon as there's nothing to be gained. Yes. We noticed this more often. Sometimes people see $ signs and are missing the words! |

Botnets engaged... I only have about 6 servers, along with my home PCs mining, and there's "anonymous" miners with 2x the hashrate. That's either a Botnet or the unauthorized use of a server farm. Pools should really deal with this. And the Magi Team too. Where is the fair coin distribution then? How can you expect for someone to mine with low power (green) devices when huge botnes are abusing almost every pool? Maybe it's better for Suprnova to stay down for few days. You will see when they make it live again, almost in the same second there will be 500 miners. All botnets, preconfigured to mine on Suprnova. Magi is trying that for some time It can only if Pools agree to allow miners with max hashrate. Besides that we all noticed that not all people are reading the Op & last posts here. In that case they miss the change of mindset. Most coin need hugh hashrate to gain profit. With Magi its different. Lower hashrate blockreward is good or will go up. High hashrate blockreward will drop. |

When i try to enable "Mint" in the m-wallet, the app get a windows error and get closed. i want to solo mining, so when i delete "daemon=1" in magi.conf, the m-wallet do not get any errors when enabling "Mint". Can i do solo mining without "daemon=1" in magi.conf? Sorry about my english. What does the error message say? "The program has a problem and is goin to close" look´s like a windows problem. I tested in other version of windows, and is working fine so far. The problem is in windows 10 64bits. I couldn't get the staking to work on 64 bit until I reloaded the with the magic.conf rpcuser=rpcuser
