There are many ways you can leak your email address online and the most popular one is through airdrops, I receive spam emails and fake messages through emails that I have used for raindrop hunting in past more than the email I don't use for airdrop hunting.

There is something called Email Harvesting where the scammers use bots to scout the web for email addresses, this hot use the @ symbol to identify any email format on the web and grab them one by one and add it to the list. I believe to have seen this bot at work when a friend of mine was into affiliate marketing.
1482  Economy / Gambling discussion / Too accessible of online casino grows addiction faster? on: January 24, 2023, 05:24:48 AM
I have a discussion with a close relative about online gambling and he said something that about how he hate gambling online because it's too addictive, he claimed real life casinos are better and less addictive because he will have to drive down to Las Vegas to gamble or drive down to a local casino and this still takes some physical effort and it discourages many people from frequenting gambling.

He said with online gambling it's available on through mobile phones and you can play at any time, this means no shortage of gambling around the clock and no shortage of losing money as well, you can easily pull out your phone and gamble with any free time, a bit compulsive and too accessible.

What do you think about this claim? Is he right or wrong?

ETFbitcoin you are right, the Asic money I want to purchased has a Hyd name attached to the complete name, I don't know the difference between the normal s19 and this Hyd but thanks for telling the difference, actually energy consumption wise is not a problem for because I don't rely on the grid power completely, I also use solar panels just like some people on here so the only time I will be using grid power is in the night when there is no more sunshine.
1484  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Where did it all go wrong on: January 23, 2023, 12:18:03 PM
The scammer might not be a friend and since you can't ask some questions from the victim we may never get the proper answer,  I am thinking maybe the victim went on social media and talk about how they got scammed in 2021? If a scammer is in the same group as OP for example on telegram they might look at the whole situation as an opportunity to rob the victim.

Ask the victim if he use Telegram from time to time and if he has ever talked about the scam on the telegram group before. I remember whenever I go into a Telegram group for complains strangers will start texting me, asking if I have fixed the problem, they pretend to be part of the team of the project.
1485  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will Btc get to $12k or $10k on: January 23, 2023, 09:53:10 AM
No one can predict this market, I used to believe this is possible some years ago and I tried to stay ahead of the game but I flunked, the best lesson I've learned is never to rely on those stupid YouTubers that claimed they know where this market is heading, it's all garbage. Gather some USDT or your favorite stable coins and start buying dips when there is big bad news affecting the market and make sure you don't run out of stable coins until the Next Bitcoin halving is near.
1486  Bitcoin / Mining / What are the top Bitcoin miners right now on: January 23, 2023, 07:30:08 AM
Guys I have a S9K asic miner that I want to sell because it's not profitable anymore for me but I am curious since this is a sha256 rig is there anything else I can use this asic miner for? Also I want to upgrade to a better asic miner and I have up to 14,000$ to spare.

I will also like to know which Asic miner is the most profitable right now because I can't find any, Antminer S19 XP with 255TH is the highest I can find and this earn 4.7$ per day, is there any Bitcoin asic miner that do better than this?
1487  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Doxxed team can help a new gambling platform? on: January 23, 2023, 06:33:40 AM
Hi friends, I am still on the matter of helping a friend who wants to build his own gambling project, the question of the day is about KYC verification, why are popular crypto gambling platforms are not KYC verified themselves? I mean the team behind the online casino why are they not KYC verified and they ask for KYC instead?
It's the question you need to ask who are providing license to them. May be they are KYC verified. There is also the fact of trust too. Normally popular Casinos have already built their trust in the industry, they are paying gamblers for years so no one question the team behind them.

Anyway fast forward to my second question, will a gambling platform be more attractive for users if the team are 100% doxxed?
It surely will be but when you are in crypto it's not always a good idea to public your identity. Crypto is not still officially legal to many country. Law will change and it will effect you. That's the risk.
It will affects the likes of Vitalik Buterin, and others that come out to the public like Cardano CEO for example? Or that's because these projects are Centralised projects?

Can a crypto gambling project be centralized? If a crypto gambling team decides to remain anonymous then why are they requesting KYC from their users? They understand what anonymity means and users wish to remain anonymity as well. They remain anonymous only yo collect users KYC details. Well thank you all for opinions.
1488  Other / Beginners & Help / How many people read crypto exchange terms and condition this day? on: January 22, 2023, 03:52:02 PM
Using crypto exchanges for trading means you have agreed to their terms and conditions, the question is how many of you are even reading exchanges terms and conditions before using any crypto exchanges for trading?

I have a confession to make, I was one of those people in the past, I just sign up and deposit on exchange straight away, today I decided to  read OKX terms and conditions and the thing scared the hell out of me. Please take your time to read the following OKX terms and condition below..

By accepting the Terms, you expressly agree to the pooling of your Digital Assets with the Digital assets of other users. Digital assets of users are not protected by deposit protection or deposit insurance scheme. In this case of an irreconcilable shortfall, you may not receive some or any of your deposited assets or funds.

It's like if things go very wrong for OKX and the law/court gets involved they will win over their users, just by saying ' every users on our platform agreed with the terms and conditions before using our exchange' , this is scary.

I read others like Crypto.com and Binance but OKX is the most scary one for me.
1489  Economy / Gambling discussion / Doxxed team can help a new gambling platform? on: January 22, 2023, 08:17:49 AM
Hi friends, I am still on the matter of helping a friend who wants to build his own gambling project, the question of the day is about KYC verification, why are popular crypto gambling platforms are not KYC verified themselves? I mean the team behind the online casino why are they not KYC verified and they ask for KYC instead?

Wouldn't it be more fair if they want to stay behind the veil and not as users KYC verification? If they are scared of the law/regulations it makes sense the are verified too, doxxed or something .

Anyway fast forward to my second question, will a gambling platform be more attractive for users if the team are 100% doxxed?
1490  Other / Beginners & Help / Always be Cautious on: January 22, 2023, 06:48:55 AM
It is very common today to hear sad news from people about how they lose their funds but I am so sure that all the victims somehow made a mistake or do something very stupid that compromised the security of their funds.

Some people say that they are hacked and when they explain how the whole thing went you will found out that it's not a real hack but their own mistakes, it's either

They fell for a phishing scam
Clicked on bad malicious links
Signed some weird transaction that leaks your private key

The only thing that scammers are praying for is your mistake, they are hoping that you do something very stupid and dumb so that they can take advantage of your mistake.

My advice is don't do things that goes against the simple security measures of every crypto wallet, either crypto hardware wallet, PC crypto wallet or mobile crypto wallets, do not do the dumb things.

Example of mistakes and dumb things you can avoid

1. Don't give out your seed phrase and keys, no one should ever ask you for your seed phrase, if they do just block them instantly, if it's a website get out immediately.

2. Do not click on random links from DMs or download any files from DMs especially on telegram, discord and Twitter, also stop downloading torrent files they have malware most times.

3. Don't keep your crypto on an exchange, even if you are a daily trader you won't see any danger coming so always take out your profit and leave behind that little amount for trading, use 2FA authentication on your wallets and exchnages.

4. Do not use same password you are using on other websites on your exchange platforms, it is dumb, this days hackers get password hack easily.

5. Look into the wallet address you are sending coins to very well, avoid sending them to wrong addresses, nowadays hackers are used to keylogger attacks, the address you copied might change if your PC is infected.
1491  Other / Beginners & Help / A curious funny thought of the day on: January 22, 2023, 05:54:21 AM
Assuming in the future time many countries have fully embraced crypto adoption and in fact, many countries are using the country fund to invest in Bitcoin just like what El Salvador is doing right now and something bad starts happening to the wallet they store their fund?

Imagine a hacker stealing Bitcoin that belongs to a country, how do you think the situation will be handled?

Do not take this too seriously as it's just a fun thought, since this has nothing to do with Banks I am just thinking about how they will handle the situation, launch a red alert or something. Go after the hacker big time with all they have? Or use the Centralised power on the exchange?
1492  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Silence is Golden But... on: January 21, 2023, 01:57:18 PM
Fooled are those who listen to such people, if you see a successful personal talking shit about a new innovation it doesn't mean they hate the innovation.

You will be surprised that these people are buying Bitcoin in the back, they want your Bitcoin at a cheap price and they have wanted people to sell.

As much as JP Morgan failed to understand that Bitcoin will forever be maxed at 21 Million it doesn't mean he isn't buying, he is not even sure of himself lol.
1493  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin always shames social media experts. on: January 21, 2023, 11:56:27 AM
JP Morgan just said Bitcoin is the biggest fraud of all time, he said before the supply of Bitcoin runs dry Nakamoto will add more, so hilarious, these people are just so unbelievable. bitcoin a hyped fraud? These centralised whacked old men need to learn.

1494  Economy / Gambling discussion / What is your take on this crypto gambling use case idea? on: January 21, 2023, 10:03:14 AM
Do you think it makes sense if a crypto gambling platform only accepts it's own token for gambling and gambling on it's platform? If the games they offer are one-of-a-kind, new, and addictive wouldn't this make the gambling token very valuable? I am asking on behalf of a friend who wants to build his own crypto gambling project on the blockchain. Will this work? Will this fail? What's your take on this?
1495  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How to keep account secure, is there 2-step verification for forum accounts? on: January 21, 2023, 08:56:43 AM
Use a strong password combination you will be fine, also if someone wants to steal your account they will have to get access to your email address that you use to registered the account, if your email account is not compromised your Bitcointalk account is safe. Still, I recommend using a very strong password for Bitcointalk only.
1496  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Minimum deposit and minimum withdrawal. on: January 19, 2023, 01:41:21 PM
It makes no sense to implement minimum deposit if you are running a crypto gambling or casino platform, this is a big turn off for me because I take risks with very little amount that won't hurt even if I lose it, till this day I still hate Binance exchange for forcing me to have at least 10$ worth of coin or token before you can trade on the platform.
1497  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Is bitcoin mining risk for begiiners? on: January 19, 2023, 08:08:01 AM
I started mining crypto myself as a beginner, no one to teach me a thing and I began my journey using Youtube to watch many videos and later I became an expert, if you are a beginner in this crypto mining just go on Youtube and watch many videos you will know how to connect your miner to a mining pool and start mining in no time.

1. Make sure you use whattomine calculator to know which Asic miner will be most profitable for you, electricity cost matters ...
2. Find the best mining OS, I use Hive OS.
3. Keep the miner in a well ventilated area.
1498  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Anyone living with older people? on: January 19, 2023, 06:49:41 AM
No one understands a thing until you start making money out of it, the question I have for you OP is, are you making money out of crypto? Is your answer is YES then they will be calm as time goes by, you owe nobody any explanation because no matter how hard you try they will never understand and you can't blame them for it.

I was once just like this until I broke free and don't give a heck anymore.
1499  Economy / Economics / Re: Saving one third what you earn monthly is not that hard, isn't it ? on: January 18, 2023, 06:30:27 PM
I have a friend that's unable to keep money aside for saving since he gets married, expenses have grown higher and his job paycheck is not keeping up, now he is planning to go for another job just to be able to provide for his family, savings is not that easy unless it's just you alone with no family to look after.

I'm not sure that Ublock origin can work on a smartphone, looks like it's built for PC users only so, which AdBlock is best for android phone users without getting the phone rooted or exploit because that's what my research is telling me, that ad blocker works better on a rooted android phone and I'm not ready to root mine.
