1482  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: 21 cents per kw, Any way to mine? on: December 29, 2015, 06:56:44 PM
Iv been looking at mining for a while now but as you can see i pay quite high electricity fees. Ive done mining in the past with gpu but have always wanted to start btc mining. Is this even possible with such high electricity costs? Im even open to mining ltc and then converting to btc but maybe id just be as well buying any btc with flat?

When it comes to bitcoin mining, take notice of the following factors:

- Price per kW (everything under 10 cent is ok)
- Price of equipment (the miners + PSU)
- The difficulty (these last weeks the difficulty went sky-high)
https://bitcoinwisdom.com/bitcoin/difficulty

Since i don't know which equipment you are considering you should check this link and calculate your potential ROI time: http://www.coinwarz.com/calculators/bitcoin-mining-calculator

If you need more information, let me know.
1483  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How can we spread Bitcoin effectively. on: December 27, 2015, 07:18:24 PM
the best way to spred bitcoin is mainstreaming and media coverage with it will make bitcoin more known then money transaction methode

Getting the media on board seems to be a very good strategy.

The media in most countries are opposing bitcoin in any way they can, which makes it very hard for bitcoin entrepreneurs to get foot on the ground.
1484  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Dice game strategy? on: December 27, 2015, 07:16:17 PM
Every strategy included martingale actually works for shorter periods.Real problem comes when we stick to same way and keep playing. We should apply different tricks to not let the house understand our game plan in order to win. Wink

The house wins not because it is studying how you played but because the existence of house edge always make the bet slightly favourable to the house. Changing your bet size randomly or switching between "over" and "under" do not help reducing the house edge at all.

Exactly, there is no winning strategy, because the edge stays the same.

Changing you playing 'algorithm' does not contribute to a successful strategy. In fact you will be lose more compared to your previous bets.
1485  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin worth to you or not... on: December 27, 2015, 07:15:20 PM
It's worth the same as any type of fiat.

I use it like real money and this means i care about bitcoin, since it enables me to use it for any online purchases.
1486  Economy / Speculation / Re: Why did Bitcoin drop in value over Christmas? on: December 27, 2015, 07:12:37 PM
There is no logic explanation published so far.

My presumption is that some kind of action triggered panic selling and the other exchanges followed this dip.
1487  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: [PRE-ANN] Bitcoin Mining Hosting in Central Europe on: December 27, 2015, 07:10:38 PM
Using green power is a great thing, good job on that!

The prices are 'ok' but what you really must do is show some pictures of your DC, I assume you don't expect people to sent you their miners on the current information
1488  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How can we spread Bitcoin effectively. on: December 27, 2015, 07:08:39 PM
The best way to spread Bitcoin would be accepting it, letting people pay you using it. You can also ask others if you may pay with BTC, you can offer to pay a few extra cents to persuade them more easily.

The best way (as shown on the bitcoin website) is to mail your favourite webshop and ask them to accept bitcoin as payment gateway.

If webshops get a lot of request, we can be sure they will accept it eventually since they don't want to lose out on customers.
1489  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: Bitcoin Cloud Mining with HashFlare on: December 27, 2015, 07:06:45 PM
Its will all depend the USD price ..not bitcion price for buying hashpower ..it will not effect in increase or decrease in price of bitcoin ..because buying is depend USD price and mining will be depend on bitcoin price ...

Okay, I kind of understand.

If I want to invest more money, where do you think would be the most bang for buck?

Investing in more hashpower or just into actual btc at this point?

With the current price it make sense to buy bitcoin.

Having both cloud mining at hashflare and hashnest, my main profits these day come from bitcoin trading.
1490  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Problems with Allcoin.com? Scam? on: December 27, 2015, 07:04:43 PM
This says enough. There are not having problems by default but some issues with the take over.

To be honest, I would never use that exchange again.

Please withdraw your coins before 2016-01-25

Important Notice About the Allcoin.com Takeover

Dear Allcoin customers, thank you and other customers being with us until now, we did have troubles a month ago and we have to close the exchange temporarily.

Our team has received an offer from a very strong company in the industry. After comprehensive consideration, we believe that the acquisition will be Allcoin's best choice.

The new website will replace Allcoin's site system, all user accounts will be reserved. However due to the system switching user assets will not be transferred directly to the new platform, therefore please make sure to withdraw all your Allcoin digital currency funds within 30 days.

Because we've sold out the domain, so we'll use another domain to withdraw you coins in one or two weeks, then you can find the withdraw domain on this page. We'll try our best to fix the wallets and withdraw your coins.

Thank you for your support. In future new AllCoin.com will provide a better service for you!

AllCoin Dev team.

In fact the strong company only bought our domain and customer accounts, so we got some money to pay for your coins. You can only withdraw coins var btcset.com, not AllCoin.com.

we won't reply previous tickets and emails, if you deposited before and these coins haven't been credited in your account, please email service@allcoin.com. ( If your coins' BTC estimate is smaller than 0.05 BTC, please don't email us, we don't have so many time and energy to deal the tickets).

Because we havn't prepared our BTC wallet, so please withdraw other coins firstly. We'll open our BTC wallet before 2016-01-10, if you don't want to  wait, you can buy some other coins  and withdraw it .

Most coins are withdrawed automaticly, but we have to withdraw some other coins manually( STR, XRP).

If there's some thing wrong with your account, such as account frozen and balance problem, please contact us.

Please withdraw a small amount before you withdraw a large amount, some coins are dead coins, and our wallets are offline.

After 2016-01-25, Old AllCoin exchange(Means BtcSet.com) will be closed permanently, and if you still have some coins in your account, please email us, we can send you some coins in your account, but it's very slow(maybe one week a time).

We luanched AllCoin about 2 years ago, but in fact it's very difficult for us to run the exchange, so many hackers and we even can't afford the cost of the exchange, so we have to sell it, you can trade other coins on the new Allcoin.com about one or two months later.

Happy trading.

I got just 12 now, but will do some more to increase my chances too.
1492  Economy / Speculation / Re: How will halving affect the value? on: December 27, 2015, 07:00:12 PM
In a normal environment the bitcoin price would go up.

But take notice that the current price is actually quite good for miners.
Most asics can mine with profit right now.
1493  Economy / Speculation / Re: If the US dollar crashed, would it affect bitcoin in any way? on: December 27, 2015, 06:58:36 PM
This would be very extreme don't think something like this would happen.

If it would happen the price of bitcoin would just jumped somewhere near $ 1500. Maybe even more, but this would be random
speculation.
1494  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Methods of growing your Bitcoin? on: December 27, 2015, 06:51:13 PM
If you got a lot of friends signing up for a referral program in a faucet should be very profitable.

I once mailed my referral link to 6 friends and my faucetbox accounts was booming. The thing is to get as much referrals
as possible.
1495  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How Many People Here Sell on eBay on: December 23, 2015, 10:23:37 AM
I Did some some Antminers S3 on Ebay. It's really easy and fast.

If you find a buyer with a good reputation and or use paypal there is hardly any risk. Plus the site is big, you will get many bigds.
1496  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Question about signature campaign payments! on: December 22, 2015, 12:31:03 PM
they should instead pay for how many will actually click on their ads, for example if for my ads, 10 people only click on it, they should pay me an amount equal to that, based on a new rate eventually

I don't think it is good idea because people can get easily fraud clicks from cheap traffic. How you know these are real clicks or fake clicks? In this forum I don't think we can trace whether clicks are real or coming from outsiders (fake) so it may not be an good idea.

Indeed, this wouldn't be the best idea. They wouldn't know how to get the fake ones out of the real clicks, a click is a click. It's too easy to cheat that.

Getting paid by views doesn't make any sense, anyone could just click on the topic and get more views to that. Again, that's easy to cheat with.
1497  Economy / Web Wallets / Re: Coinbase.com on: December 22, 2015, 12:27:26 PM
I have been using Coinbase for a while and only for small transactions and I have not had any issues with them, 2 weeks does seem like a long time for support, do they not have any contact number you could contact support on if you are concerned? I have never had to contact support but I would assume his would be an option.

I have never had an issue with Coinbase either but seems like these issues keep piling up lately. Makes me start to doubt their services.
Two weeks is a long time to wait for any response, imagine if a bank did that. That would be messed up if you were to depend on that money.
1498  Economy / Economics / Re: Is it a good long term investment to buy 1 BTC today? on: December 22, 2015, 08:43:21 AM
If you're going to hold for a very long time, I think that buying under $900 is a good time to buy. You will make a lot of profits from buying now rather than later.
You may never know when the price will shoot up or when you've missed your moment to buy very low. $400 may not seem very low but it will be once bitcoin value will rise.
1499  Economy / Economics / Re: Mining coins save or sell it? on: December 22, 2015, 08:40:33 AM
If you are able to make profits out of selling your bitcoins at the time, you should go for it. I would advice you not to sell it all at once, you could sell 60% and hold 40% of your bitcoins. You never know if the bitcoin price will rise or not, so you should always have some bitcoins holding back.
1500  Economy / Speculation / Re: Christmas Call: $700 on: December 22, 2015, 08:38:14 AM
Bitcoin is probably not going to reach this amount this Christmas. Christmas is in 3 days, so not likely.
Unless a huge pump happens very soon, then bitcoin might reach that value. If it doesn't happen I think bitcoin will settle for a solid $400
