Mined 10 BTC myself.

Currently have about 23 BTC to my name.
It's a volatile market.  Truly a gamble at this stage.

Very nice.  What was timeline to get from 10 to 23?  And do you mind sharing what you invested in?

Are you able to tell us what city/state?

Also how many friends into bitcoin know about it and had your address even those who you know online? (Just kinda trying to see how many possible people were looking at).

And last question.... did you try selling it on ebay or anything that might have given info away?

Just ordered additional 20,000 chips from Avalon. Orders that would not be covered by the first batch, would certainly be covered by these chips.

BitSyncom is going to get the chips produced in bulk from the foundry. We believe that all the orders will be shipped by Avalon in close proximity to each other. So, hopefully, the chips ordered today will be shipped at most a week or two after the ships we ordered on May 10 and 16. In that case, our batch 2 orders will start shipping at most 2 weeks after the batch 1.

Can you please post what will be batch one and batch 2? I am >1000 so i know at least batch 2.... im just worried if in batch 3.

I also think that orders should be reserved by when you PAY.

I don't quite disagree with you since I did pay instantly, but that could be problematic for anyone paying by wire, no?  It sure would suck to get one of the first orders in and then be pushed back to the second batch just because you had cash in hand and had to wait 3 days for it to get transferred.

Yeah but you choose to be an idiot and wire transfer.....get a prepaid CC and pay through paypal.

You would only get 45 days Paypal protection. Prepaid cards are debit, not credit, therefore minimal if any protection from an issuing bank...

On paypal is there anyway to extend protection if not recieved in 45 days?  Or is 45 days final cutoff as far as paypal?
14907  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: HashTech Avalon Clone Hashing Modules 22GH/s - 8.99 BTC * ESCROW * on: June 18, 2013, 04:31:42 AM
Give this one credit... was a smart plan get 1 btc reserve.... and say rest will be escrow.

Sigh guess if it sounds to good to be true.... it just might be.

Teamviewer is great.  Love that can use a computer without it installed and use website to connect for free.  Comes in great if over at family's house and want to check miners.
14909  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: HashTech Avalon Clone Hashing Modules 22GH/s - 8.99 BTC * ESCROW * on: June 17, 2013, 05:25:33 AM
So is the 1 btc not through escrow?
14910  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: BFL Chip Credits? Why? on: June 17, 2013, 01:46:43 AM
Really its a smart plan on their side.  If they are able to... get bigger orders and get charged less.  Makes profits for them go up on units sold and also a bonus on sales of chips.   And even with coupon I'm willing to bet they are getting a big mark up on selling the chips.
14911  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: I have 22 BTC, should I spend it on LTC or FTC? on: June 17, 2013, 01:38:55 AM
I would like to stay with bitcoin as I trade with it, but currently I mine Litecoins and the reason why this question came up is because of all the economic advantages I heard about FTC. So as a short term investment, I find that LTC and FTC are both quite attractive you know?

For example, if LTC goes up to $10 each, I would have experienced a profit gain of 500%, and if FTC goes up to say... $1 the gain would be significant. I am just wanting to know out of the two currencies, which would sound better and if possible, why.

I would go with FTC. More room for profit margin.

There seems to be reasons it has huge profit margins.  Idk i would stay with BTC maybe try some LTC hoping for the spike one day when mtgox trades it (then again so many talked about this it could be a day where tons sell and not a lot want to buy).

What if I turn all the lights off and keep them off, will that compensate for it? Or I could buy a gerbil and put it in a treadmill attached to a small generator. Would that help?

Gerbil will do as much for you once even more asics are out.  If you are serious add it up.  Take difficulty going up 15-25ish percent each change.  Starting once you receive cards.  Take into account Ebay fees if you decide to sell.

Its a gamble but if you enjoy it.... there are worst ways to spend cash.

CAUTION: Possible noob question ahead.
Was satoshi a government op with an ingenious plan to make the crypto community undermine their own methods or should I just stop smoking so much pot and getting paranoid? (Joke, obviously gonna carry on)

Lol good for a laugh.

Where was this riser manufactured?

China, Taiwan (another part of China, that has its own special name), Singapore, or Indonesia?

I'm pretty sure it was a guy named Ralph. Riser Ralph they call him. From a little village outside of Hong Kong. He's known locally as an artisan when it comes to risers.

Lol here is a guy good for a laugh.   How much does Riser Raplh charge?
14916  Other / CPU/GPU Bitcoin mining hardware / Re: dirt-cheap mining plus free electricity on: June 15, 2013, 11:44:55 PM
I have limited funds but electricity is included in my rent. All things considered, what's the cheapest reasonable way that I can get into mining?
how is this possible

Dorms, work, apartments with electricity included.
14917  Other / CPU/GPU Bitcoin mining hardware / Re: dirt-cheap mining plus free electricity on: June 15, 2013, 11:44:13 PM
Followup: I have a desktop and two laptops. What would I want to use in my laptops? And should I use my laptops at all? or vice-versa? Also please consider that I don't want to run the electricity use up too much and end up getting my rent raised.

Thanks everyone for your advice!

Laptop is useless for mining.  Wouldn't want to run one 24 hours even if was usb miners personally.

Gpu.... your kinda at a point where its a guess.  If you do it now with asics will take a long time if you ever do have a ROI. Will there be a possibility of litecoin? Maybe but ultimatly no one knows, and if it is more profitable then BTC then most likely will have tons of gpus flooding to do it.

Ultimatly if you want to do BTC at this point it is asic you want.
14918  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: [Free BTC] Hello Newbies - I'd like to start you off! on: June 15, 2013, 09:07:12 AM
why can not new newbies get in this?   That is unfair!!!   you are a bad.

I would guess so you cant just create a new account to try to get in on it.
14919  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: $949.95 for 10G hash power, ~50 BTC the 1st year. What do you think about it? on: June 13, 2013, 03:16:06 PM
By the time its delivered to them i would be willing to bet estimates are pretty far off on money to be made.  Difficulty is rising ... fast.
