The most beautifully executed pump so far this year.
14962  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Tipping Poll on: April 04, 2015, 02:28:47 AM
I wonder where this puts a high volume coin like Litecoin.  I haven't heard much from Litecoin in terms of... anything really.  Except that I am aware it's being traded in high volume which is always good.

Any chance LTC tipping will take off?
14963  Economy / Speculation / Re: I need to retire already on: April 04, 2015, 01:50:40 AM
OK guys and gals, I've 80 bitcoins (did have 410, but sold most to buy a house last September. Bad timing or what!)
Anyhoo, I'm sick of work and figure if bitcoins get to $15,000 I can retire.
When do you reckon that will happen?

On thursday.
14964  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: NXT could merge in QUBIC before it dies !? bright future !? on: April 04, 2015, 01:46:01 AM
anyone have more info on that cubic thang ?

I tried going to official site jinnlabs.com but "The requested URL /jinn-is-coming-soon-1/ was not found on this server." is all I get. Not very convincing yet  Cool but im sure this is gonna be a nifty thing if its the cfb thats making it.

Qubic isn't a currency.  It is a protocol.  Any currency could use Qubic as a protocol.

BTC and NXT are both value tokens and both could be transferred on to the Qubic protocol.

How does that work?  Will your BTC/NXT be stored somewhere so you can be issued BTC/NXT tokens in Qubic?

You could either "drop" them to existing BTC/NXT holders and then they'd have both or you could burn them.

Drop BTC to existing holders or burn them...?  Yeah good luck with that.
14965  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will we ever see BTC over $1,200 again? on: April 04, 2015, 01:37:27 AM
Much faster than you can imagine

I have a feeling that when everyone is ready, the next wave will be much larger than the previous two wave.  When daily coin supply becomes less and less, and the capital in the play is getting larger and larger, a fireworks party is approaching

Unlike last two times, the advance was mainly caused by technology advancement, the next wave will be driven by combined mining technology improvement and credit expansion when bitcoin can be mortgaged through ETF

Could be, but I actually have a feeling that we may not go as high as everyone is suspecting. I hear people speculating about going north of $5'000... I think that's impossible to achieve with the next wave. But it may be battered-bull syndrome on my side Cheesy

Willybot 2.0 will take btc to 5000 and beyond.

14966  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Tipping Poll on: April 04, 2015, 01:31:01 AM
After reading all your posts, I came to a conclusion (but somewhat lacking in supporting info):

Tipping regularly for fun like it's the thing to do (Dogecoin), is totally different from tipping once or twice for an article or something (Bitcoin)...  One might tip in BTC but may never tip again using it.  In Dogecoin, there's massive tipping because it's fun and a dogecoin is worth .0000xxx usd.  Very easy to do.

Because bitcoin is a deflationary currency, I think people would tend to hoard it, than giving them away via tips.  We would rather get something of the same value for it.  BTC is somethng more like gold than a currency.  When you hold it, you know you have sure value.

And yes, tipping dust won't mean much due to the transaction fee.  Although I hope people will tip more in BTC, I do not see it getting to a level where Dogecoin has set the bar in the future.  But who knows...

This would be the biggest bitcoin promotion and all mexicans would start using bitcoin.

Yes because Mayweather is such an influence on them.
14969  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What if Pacquiao boxing gloves has Bitcoin Logo? on: April 03, 2015, 11:13:31 AM

I mean.. I don't remember the sponsor's logo on the boxer's gloves the last boxing match I watched.

I think it's like impossible to see the bitcoin logo on the boxer's gloves, then considering the speed of the movements that they  have.

It would be better on the boxe robe when the athletes  enter the ring  Smiley but i think is impossible.

would be even better if Mayweather start  to buy some btc  Tongue Tongue

[/quote]

What about painting a big, white letter "B" on Mayweather's back.

What's the impact?

his opponents will see bitcoins instead of stars  Grin

Haha
14971  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Tipping Poll on: April 03, 2015, 08:35:38 AM
yes, often.

What coins do you tip with and what sites do you tip in?
14972  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Tipping Poll on: April 03, 2015, 08:18:39 AM
I'm really curious about this because I feel that Bitcoin tipping really hasn't taken off... or will not take off like Dogecoin tipping did.  With Bitcoin being the most popular cryptocurrency, people would naturally want to tipped in BTC.  But the way things are, BTC is being hoarded and kept.

So yeah...  Just curious what the majority thinks about the tipping concept in BTC as opposed to Dogecoin tipping.

changetip has probably made 3 times the amount of people tip BTC then before, i think tipping in BTC tipping will see more development in next year with services like protip etc.

Can you list more tipping services here?  I would really appreciate it.  And I think it would be good for the community to become aware overall.  All I know is ChangeTip and TipJar(?)..
14973  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Tipping Poll on: April 03, 2015, 05:23:41 AM

Doge tipping? Sure why not? It's practically worthless monetarily, so I have no problem parting with it.

Exactly what I was thinking.  Bitcoin has become so valuable (at least in our eyes) that parting with it seems hard.  On the other hand, tipping with Doge is so easy.  You would even feel better for yourself for doing it.

I think I have my answer the moment the first hour of this thread passed.  Majority is a "no", I assume.  But i wish we could actually see that in the poll though.
14974  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do you have a feeling BTC has slowed down a bit? on: April 03, 2015, 03:09:03 AM
After quite turbulent events during the last few years, I somehow feel BTC economy s been slowing down a bit. Maybe people are losing interest after not seeing those price jumps/decreases which we witnessed in the past. I know statistics ll probably dispute my claims but this is just my feeling. How do you feel about it, are people still into BTC?

Like anything, people will tend to lose interest in it.  But for the long term, I think cryptocurrencies are here to stay.

14978  Economy / Speculation / Re: Is OpenBazaar dead or something? on: April 02, 2015, 11:54:32 PM
I thought the OpenBazaar thing might be the NEW Silkroad drug market + EBAY Bitcoin version which would make bitcoin price hit $1200.

No...  only Willybot 2.0 can do that.

i would say chances are 93% that the price will rise, i don't expect the price to fall below 200

any value beolow 200 will trigger a good buy that will rise the price above 200 again

And how the hell did you arrive at 93%??
