1501  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: PST.NET IS A SCAM!! HOW I LOST $27,000 IN BTC. THREAD BELOW on: August 05, 2023, 11:29:45 PM
You can see they are not responding anymore. PST.NET is a SCAM!!!
Is there any chance you can find rest of information they are asking from you or no?
I gave them temporary negative feedback for now, but you can go ahead and create flag against them, so that other members can review and support it.
My feedback can be corrected later if they change their decision or consider returning confiscated coins to you.

I also encourage OP to create a flag and drop my feedback on this will make them resolve the situation as soon as they can
it's going to be bad for their business if the search engine shows this topic to those looking to use their business so far OP scam accusation is the only one existing and he is active in giving PSNET bad feedback.
I believe this is one of his feedback

1502  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Beware, New HVNC Malware Threatens Your Crypto Assets on: August 05, 2023, 03:35:20 PM
Note
I don't know, if this is the right board to post this, but if it isn't then please someone suggest which or mod help me move it to the right section.

This is the reason why we need to have a section for Cybersecurity and privacy because news like this is a big concern for all of us

Quote
I'm writing to raise awareness about a critical security threat that poses a significant risk to iOS users and probably other operating systems.
Recently, a new malware called HVNC(Hidden Virtual Network Computer) designed by some Russian hackers is being sold on the dark web for a staggering $60,000 price for a lifetime access.
Based on the article the malware has been offered on a Russian Cyber Forum since April 2023 so its possible that some hackers are already using it if it's effective we will read more reports about this malware but this early we should take our security seriously

Quote
HVNC is a highly sophisticated malware with powerful phishing capabilities. Once it gains access to a device, it can be utilized to breach crypto wallets, potentially leading to the loss of funds or even complete control of your assets. This dangerous HVNC tool, discovered by cybersecurity firm Guardz, grants hackers full access to Apple systems, making it possible to steal personal information and cryptocurrencies.
The creator of this malware is now selling it for around $100,000, and its existence poses a severe threat to our community's security.
This is the time when hackers and malware creators are active in creating sophisticated software for hacking because they know that many investors are not serious about their security, we have to put more time, effort, and money into securing our accounts and our environment, you cannot be lax this time where hackers are very active, they never stop creating this kind of tools.
1503  Other / Meta / Re: Community Vote: Add "Cybersecurity & Privacy" board to Bitcointalk. on: August 05, 2023, 12:27:09 PM
Your vote:  Yes

Have you read the OP of Discussion: "Cybersecurity and Privacy" board + Poll before posting?: Yes

What is your opinion on adding the board to BitcoinTalk?:
It will become one of the most important sections of this forum, we all should be concerned about security in everything we do and we hold online, you cannot be a holder or part of the Cryptocurrency community without ample knowledge of Cybersecurity and privacy, hackers and scammers are good at what they do and knowing how they work and implement these things will give us good defense and protection.
1504  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Responsibilities of hierarchy in the forum on: August 05, 2023, 10:37:23 AM
For quite sometime due to external factors I left and wasn't following in the forum only to see a post that talked about newbies posting thing they have no idea about! The simple salient question I have to all high ranked members is how are we encouraging learning in this platform...I'm not fighting anyone I want to know...who should be blamed also ...the newbies? Or the person who shared link for registration to them and didn't enlighten them of the modus operandi of the group?
Bitcointalk is still a learning platform it never ceases to be one, in fact, you can join without getting an invite or from anyone who will explain to you this so-called modus operandi of certain groups, the forum has a set of rules that we are all agreed to comply it applies to all ranks, if newbies are getting lash out its because there are violations of the forum rules or a newbie failed to read the rules of this forum, members are just implementing and reminding these newbies.

Quote
I think this should be balanced by lashing newbies who hurry into posting irrelevant things and members as well as higher rankers who just abandon their invitees at the point of entry
Members just want to protect the forum and its members from being harmed, it's newbies' fault if they failed or ignore the rules of the forum, we are here to contribute and to follow the forum rules laid out by the admins.

1505  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Anonymity is no longer a benefit of gambling with cryptocurrency. on: August 05, 2023, 09:44:34 AM
Casinos prefer to be compliant with what the government asked of them than satisfy the needs of the Crypto gambling community, compliance that the money coming into casinos is clean money and not dirty money coming from hacking and scamming, and its also part of the terms of their license issuer.
No KYC will attract a lot of players which is some casinos implement this for small players but if there's a big amount involved that's where KYC will be implemented.
We cannot do away with KYC it's the casinos' protection, all we can do is find reputable casinos that we can trust with our sensitive information and will not use the KYC features to scam people.
I've seen casinos using failed compliance to KYC coming from their users to withhold their earnings and this is not good.
This is the reality of playing in Crypto casinos we have to do KYC along the way and the documents should be valid and will pass to what the casinos are asking.
1506  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: PST.NET IS A SCAM!! HOW I LOST $27,000 IN BTC. THREAD BELOW on: August 04, 2023, 10:43:25 PM
I think PST.NET deserves to receive negative feedback and red flag against them for doing this, unless they return coins they received from user.

We must note, that none of you money was taken, they were frozen at your account until the investigation is complete.
And I guess that could last for months, maybe even years right?

Not only negative feedback but a flag if they will not resolve this as soon as possible, to warn people on how they behave when it comes to large sums of money, OP is very cooperative in resolving the issue, the ball is in their hands now to resolve this and I don't think this should take a month to complete the verification.

I advise OP to follow their recommendation to show how serious you are in resolving this issue and update us on the development, let's see how serious they are also in resolving this issue, your money is at stake here and so is PSNET, who's reputation is being questioned.

We advise your friend to drop a message to our support as well to check the status of his/her withdrawal. The fastest way to do so is connect with us through our TG support account or TG bot (the latter is available 24/7)

1507  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Claressa Shields Vs. Keith Thurman?! on: August 04, 2023, 01:59:23 PM
Will the boxing organizations allow this both boxers are licensed professional boxers, and Shields's confidence goes to her head she thought that she can beat Thurman who just come from beating Barrios, Shields does not have the knockout power that is equal to men, she had a hard time beating Marshalls.

I remember Ronda Rousey daring Mayweather to fight her until she suffers the worse beating of her career, against Holm and Amanda Nunez, Claressa should just concentrate on her rematch against Marshall.

She thinks that Thurman is an inferior fighter but Thurman can knock him out with one punch, I don't think this fight will materialize, boxing organizations will not sanction this fight, it's a bad precedence.
1508  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: A person who won 600k$ in lottery on: August 04, 2023, 08:44:40 AM

In short, he became a victim of people who were arrogant towards others. And in an instant, his luck gradually disappeared as if he had become a withered vegetable, at the beginning he was happy with his success and the large amount of money he won. But with the passage of time and expenses careless decisions resulted in the loss of his wealth. he had expensive expenses such as buying a mansion house, cars and other properties.

He also did not invest or plan properly for his future. Instead of having a proper management of his money he had fun and didn't think deeply. This slightly distressed story again shows importance and responsible handling of money. Winning the lottery is no reason to lose financial self-discipline and proper planning. It is important to have proper planning for the future to avoid. such situations.

This is the importance of planning and educating yourself on how to handle finances, if you're a businessman, an investor, or even a gambler, especially a lotto bettor, there are always unexpecting things that are going to happen, when suddenly we have a huge amount that comes unexpectedly we think of the things that we want more than the things that we need, and we never plan wisely, this is called indulgent.

Money won in a lottery should be divided wisely, there should be an amount specifically for a time deposit that you can withdraw at a specific time, the first two years are the dangerous years for those lottery winners because this is the time that either they lose it all to overspending or putting in a bad investment.

Quote
the prosecutors are exploring other options like levying fines or establishing deferred or non-prosecution agreements.

1511  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Scammers are getting innovative. on: August 03, 2023, 02:55:51 PM

Crypto space fast-paced technological innovation to bring simplicity and add more security to human life. So scammers are also finding new ways to scam people. Do not fall for the same kind of trap if you are a moderator in any crypto project. You might lose your server and job as well.

These people are well organized they are trained to communicate effectively they have a ready script for this, and they work as a group, our authorities have busted a lot of scammer groups they are housed in a building and they have admins on the groups and they are fully equipt and they know who to target people.

They have ads everywhere we don't know but they might infiltrate our community, but on social media especially on Telegram they are more active we have to educate ourselves on how to fully secure our environment and moderate our greed they target our emotions so if you are profit driven you are a likely target.
1512  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Possible measures to stop online gambling addiction. on: August 03, 2023, 11:48:09 AM

I am of the opinion that since gambling sites are mostly online and some has adds that pops up as advert on visited site, one should be able to disable or change their browser settings  by blocking casino adds and as well disabling  gambling sites on their browser settings so as not to gain access to it anymore till the number of days they deem fit to their resolve. This was just a little tip I gave as a possible solution. I had to put it up here for further discussions so that the bigger community can see it as  well.

It's not an effective way to many, but it can help a few, if you're in a country where gambling is legal and there are sponsorships you're likely to get curious to bet online, there are a lot of ways to get you to gamble online like you get an invite from a friend or you happen to see a banner while you are out about gambling site that offers bonus.

The best way to combat addiction is to deal it within your character and if you're into a lot of things like you have a hobby where you spend most of your time or you are studying and you are dedicated to your goal, your dopamine is concentrated on what you're currently doing that gambling ha sno place on it, so even if there are gambling ads pops up you can deal with it.
1513  Economy / Services / Re: Looking for WebDesigner for simple WP sites! on: August 02, 2023, 11:55:06 PM

It was a basic Wordpress website with an already done theme, and some AI generated posts as the original post said, that's why it took only 2 hours. I asked for permission if I can post the site.

Yeah, I agree basic WordPress website can be set up even in a matter of minutes if the domain is not new and is already propagated I always do this on my own sites I just fix the permalink and just come back later to see what plugins to be added based on the theme of the site.

But it's different when you're offering a set-up business, there should be an agreed turnaround time even if it's the simplest and basic usually 24 hours even if the set up took a couple of hours, is there a discussion about the time frame or you sent the site when set up is already done.

I hope your client agreed to post the site you've set up for us to see this will become a reference on how good and how fast you are.
1514  Economy / Economics / Re: What's the effect of having plenty children to the national economy of a country on: August 02, 2023, 11:12:36 PM
Traditionally here in our country couples are encouraged to have as many children as they can, so they have children to take care of them when they get old, this is the reason why we have a population explosion and since we are in a third-world country where there's too much corruption, inflation is too high and there's scarcity of jobs and per capita income cannot sustain a big family, it's not logical to have a big family anymore.

Having a big family is only good if the economy of one's country is good but if the economy is struggling the head of the family will also struggle to sustain it, it's hard to sustain a family of 6 here in our country if you are only a minimum earner of $11.02.
1515  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: scammers using Exodus wallet fake email on: August 02, 2023, 10:33:58 PM
We've seen scammers using spoof emails they won't stop so I've stopped clicking links in emails. That's how malware spreads. I'll paste the link address to Tor only if I'm concerned or else I don't waste energy leaving it in the spam folder.

They've spoofed it with fake email I'm sure it isn't theirs it's a company brand they're stealing.
Even if they are sent to you from support@exodus.com, you should be careful not to trust the links listed.
Only a centralized and custodial-based wallet, will send you an email about updates but you're not going to receive it when it's a non-custodial wallet, when I was using Exodus, all updates are on the wallet you'll get a notification within the wallet,

The only time I communicated with the Exodus team is when I faced an issue, after the issue on their third-party exchange I shifted to a more secure wallet and hardware wallet, they may have a lot of features and keeps adding more but their being A close source is something to worry about, you can use it for a fast transaction but never as storage.
1516  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do wager affect outcomes in any provably fair games on: August 02, 2023, 02:10:01 PM
I noticed that when I start to play games like keno, limbo, dice, etc. First some bets don't hit and after wagering some percentage of my balance it starts to hit,
How it works? like when we wager we have more probability to hit win, anyone noticed this? Do you know how it works and what is the calculation behind it?, do server sends outcomes by checking our wager?

There is no pattern to follow you will be disappointed if you think there is a pattern to follow, I was deceived when I was starting out in a dice game.

I thought back then that doubling up every time you lose is a good pattern to follow because logic tells us that you need one just win to recover all your losses, late to find out that you can lose your bankroll if you cannot keep up doubling your bet, and this happen to me many times.

What happens to you is just a stroke of luck don't look for a pattern you can create one for experimentation and just for fun but with an established pattern continuous profit is not possible.

Just play and enjoy the game, don't give yourself something to think about how to win by pattern.
1517  Economy / Games and rounds / Re: SINBAD.io MIXER July Bitcoin Price Prediction Challenge on: August 02, 2023, 01:05:12 PM

Anyway, thanks again to sinbad.io to make this great challenge every month. This time I was too far off, better luck next time for me and all the participants!

My prediction was off could have been me if Bitcoin stay on the $30k mark I only made one prediction this month but I'll make sure I'll make 2 this August only few days to start another round, congratulations to the winners for this month, and good luck to us for the month of August.
1518  Other / Archival / Re: Sinbad.io Mixer - secure, fast and easy to use on: August 02, 2023, 06:25:11 AM

Technical work has been completed.

The website design has been updated ☠️☠️

Note that the service address has changed. Use the new address to verify the authenticity of letters of guarantee. The address is located in the footer of the site.

The website is very good and very pleasing to the eyes it takes away the simplicity of the design that makes scammers easy to replicate the site, I've checked the cloned sites and many of them cannot keep up with the design, and the original is the only one with all this information this is the mark of the right site, especially the Bitcointalk link.
Congratulations to the team, and to all working toward the success of Sinbad.io.

1519  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC Sentiment Poll for August on: August 01, 2023, 11:48:45 PM

We can see now that Bitcoin is still holding in the $29k price area and it is difficult to break $30k.
If this continues and the support is not strong enough, we will see one more drop.

We need to be prepared for anything that happens, and prepare a reserve of money to buy back in.

This July I'm surprised that it didn't break the $30k I predicted strong support going in the $30k level and staying there, but if there's another drop I welcome it and go for it this could be the last drop for this year then it will take off, provided there's no more bad news that could harm the market, there's a lot of surprises this year heading to the halving year, but I'm very positive that another all-time high is coming and we should prepare for it.
Of course, this is not a piece of financial advice but my views and I could be wrong, I always tell this to all my friends who I urge to invest.
1520  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: My Appeal to the Average Joe and Jane Bitcoin Investors: Buy Bitcoin Now! on: August 01, 2023, 11:00:17 PM
Dear Average Joe and Jane in the Bitcointalk Community,

I hope this appeal finds you well.

I am writing to appeal to you to please consider buying more bitcoins now and not wait for big institutions to start adopting it before making a decision.

You're creating a FOMO with your post and it's not good for people who just get in without fully understanding the underlying technology of Bitcoin and for people who have limitations on their budget they will end up taking loans just to buy Bitcoin, I understand your concern about institution getting in first but the market is also volatile that one bad news people will dump their shares and you will be in a losing end if you accumulate Bitcoin on loans if you get in through FOMO.

Only invest what you can afford to lose always apply if you want to accumulate do so in a moderate manner, you can get an extra job so you buy Bitcoin at your own pace but never buy on FOMO.
