1501  Other / Archival / Re: Mass adoption: Naming my child bitcoin on: January 18, 2023, 11:26:53 AM
Promoting bitcoin by all means is good but naming your kid bitcoin is going to far, my answer is a big NO because if your kid grows and finds out you did this while Bitcoin is not performing better anymore he will curse you, imagine something better than Bitcoin is born 10 years to this time, do not ruin your kids life, this is like making his future uncertainty.
1502  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Why Bitcointalk is the best forum on: January 18, 2023, 08:49:03 AM
The forum add Nakamoto himself to it's making and since Bitcoin is the first successful digital currency of it's kind this automatically add more respect to the forum but thanks to the admins, if spams are not controllable it would have affected the forum big time.

I don't see any crypto forum that's more eye opening than Bitcointalk because I have tried a few others and Bitcointalk forum is a masterpiece.
1503  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Provably fair games are not fair on: January 18, 2023, 07:41:52 AM
Fair on the winning side of gambling or fair on the losing side? There is no such thing as Fair when gambling, if you want fairness then you are talking about winning over and over again so what's in for gambling companies when players are only winning?

There is no way you won't lose when gambling and fact are you will lose more than you win, this is how gambling platforms are designed.
1504  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Giving bitcoin awareness for easy adoption in my locality on: January 17, 2023, 02:22:24 PM
They don't look interested to me  Grin , as expected, are you from Nigeria OP? Those women outfit is why I asked, older people are the hardest to lecture about crypto and Bitcoin, it's most times a waste of your precious time, I will rather spend my time with I.T students and Youths, they listen and do some digging themselves.
1505  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Remove Your Seed/Recovery Phrase From Centralized Password Managers on: January 17, 2023, 10:25:37 AM
If you don't want to use Lastpass, keepass because of security concerns, I am so surprised to see you're ready to store your password on your browser, Google Chrome and use Google Password manager.

Do you think something is wrong? Google don't have good reputation about their data protection for users. They even proactively collected data from users and sold it somewhere to convert free data to their income like Facebook.

If you have ever saved your passwords on Google Chrome, Google password manager, it's time to change all your passwords and never repeat it.

If you use gmail, you can check [Guide] How to know if your email address was part of any data breach.
Every Chrome browser users automatically have their password saved by the browser for easier log in later, since all the websites I am engaging with are not money saving platforms I am fine with google password manager, when it comes to my online bank account for example or exchange account my password and security level is crazy..

My password alone is over 20 alphabet with a mixture of signs and other things I don't want to say.
1506  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Remove Your Seed/Recovery Phrase From Centralized Password Managers on: January 17, 2023, 08:58:29 AM
I've lost some passwords to hackers through google password manager and the reason why they still don't have access is Gmail code and 2Fa code, most times I get message alert that someone is trying to log into my twitter account and other platforms until I changed the password to something stronger...

Imagine keeping crypto wallet recovery seeds this same way, it's complete stupidity of anyone to do such.
1507  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How do you handle your losses on: January 17, 2023, 07:27:25 AM
It's your problem if you take gambling so seriously, it's a game of fun to me that's why I always gamble with very small amounts of money and if I win I take out my initial amount and have fun with the rest, the emotional and greed side of gambling is something I can't deal with on my own, so the only way is to derive pleasure and fun out of it.
1508  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: A good way to promote Bitcoin or not? on: January 17, 2023, 06:55:50 AM
So my wife and i has a big wine 🍇 store and this includes other drinks as well, we sell in packs, and loads of people always come around to buy from us, I am thinking if this is a good opportunity to start promoting Bitcoin? I mean if some can pay Bitcoin for goods and services it will help even if they are few.

I believe this can make people start wondering what Bitcoin is and I will be waiting for questions like

What is bitcoin?

What benefits come from using it as payment?

Then I will give my answer and see if any people become more interested in it, some have heard about it but they have a wrong perspective of what Bitcoin is leading to believe it's a scam.  What do you think?

Know first if there are huge number of people using bitcoin on your place since if you just introduce bitcoin without knowing its demand maybe you are just wasting your time for doing that because for sure people will just ignore it and use the traditional method they use.

To create noise about possible adoption on your store scout first the people around you since if there's a bunch of bitcoin user in your place for sure you will be the talks in the town for accepting it on your store.
One person per month is my goal, it's not entirely about accepting bitcoin as means of payment, I want to use this to spread the news about Bitcoin and have some discussion, if I can get someone every month to discuss Bitcoin with then it's for the greater good.

I will introduce discounts with Bitcoin payment, people love discounts I believe, so this will force them to want to know what Bitcoin is all about and how they can get it.
1509  Economy / Economics / Re: Rich Mindset vs Poor Mindset : 6 key differences on: January 16, 2023, 05:21:42 PM
It's all about the mindset, imagine setting a goal of 5 years in mind, if you share that dream with the poor they will shout, saying they can't ever wait that long or they will think about death, like ' what will happen if I don't live that long, excuses upon excuses.

Years ago I tried to hard to bring people up, dream together and make something for ourselves, but they don't believe, they are the type that like quick action, get rich in weeks or months.
1510  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: A good way to promote Bitcoin or not? on: January 16, 2023, 01:43:39 PM
It depends on where you live and whether there are a lot of bitcoin users in your area, or you can promote your trade through social media or where you trade with flyers so you can accept bitcoin payments.
and if your business always has a lot of people coming to buy i think there is nothing wrong with you doing that and i think now everyone knows what bitcoin is and what bitcoin is used for. And the advantage you get if you accept bitcoin as payment is, when the bitcoin price goes up, your previous profit will double according to the bitcoin price.
and I suggest you keep it for the long term, and if there is something to buy for your business, put it on fiat and let your bitcoin work and grow.
and ignore those who think bitcoin is a fraud because there are still many people who believe in it.
There is not much Bitcoin users in my area but I think idea will bring up some curiosity, there are smart students around my area for example and I believe they could develop some interest .

As for my business, I am thinking of an attractive offer that can make them want to buy Bitcoin and use Bitcoin to buy from me then this will even prompt them to look more into what Bitcoin is.

1511  Economy / Gambling / Re: Kryptogamers Hive No KYC Casino on: January 16, 2023, 12:53:22 PM
Normally, since I've registered on the forum I have been warned many times to stay away from projects that gives insane reward when staking their tokens and now that this is coming from a high  rank member I am so confused, are you saying you believe in this project or what? 50% is so unrealistic.
1512  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Don't be greedy – a short goose story on: January 16, 2023, 11:39:31 AM
Good story but this shouldn't be use to picture 'not taking risk' , if you are earning too less and you believe that patience is the solution you are fooling yourself, Greed should be treated as a weapon and if you use it right it favors, there are times when been Greedy is the way and there are times where doing nothing and enjoying what you have is the key.

1514  Other / Archival / Re: Why has bitcoin adoption failed in El Salvador? on: January 15, 2023, 01:06:12 PM
What the heck is Chivo wallet anyway? It's on El Salvador people if they use such wallet to store their bitcoin, I heard they are mostly illiterate in that country, I am sure they failed to do proper research on Bitcoin and how to keep their keys themselves.

This still isn't getting in the way that Bitcoin getting adopted and this does not mean that Bitcoin had failed this is just the beginning of crypto massive adoption, and sooner or later people will understand.
1515  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Paper wallet for BTC used to be the best on: January 15, 2023, 10:24:31 AM
Between paper wallet and hardware wallet which one is more superior than the other for Bitcoin? What matters the most to me is keeping your Bitcoin keys offline and which one is best practice for this? Years back paper wallet triumph over everything until hardware wallet came and every advice on the forum now is get a hardware wallet.

Which paper wallet generator still functions today? Also is there any risk using paper wallet apart from keeping the phrase offline?
1516  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: For those who are just getting started in crypto this 2023 on: January 15, 2023, 09:05:12 AM
Those who are brand new to this world must never start with any of the altcoins otherwise they will expose themselves to a whole lot of high risk situations that will result it lots of losses too. Just stick to bitcoin, learn how it works and how you should store bitcoin safely and how you should use it for transfer money.
Then if you liked this world you have to first study pump and dumps before getting started on altcoins!
Exactly, altcoin is for the later, there are so many things to learn when it comes to altcoin compare to Bitcoin, too many things to be careful about but Bitcoin is more straight forward for newbies, I wished someone told me this years back, because I started with altcoins and I went through hell to understand how to play the game safe.
1517  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How wrongful can this go? on: January 15, 2023, 07:18:49 AM
I don't like giving out my private information for any project or platforms online and I have no choice but to provide wrong personal details in order to maintain anonymity, how bad can this get if anything happens to the website system?

Is this a wrongful approach to online casinos that requires KYC? Or any of you have a better solution? There must be someone like me on here that have their ways around this. Share ideas if you can.
You just have two options, either to comply or to find another casino that doesn't enforce KYC until they have to. Most casinos today will have you required to comply with it.
But as long as you're not the big type of gambler and you've got a consistent yet low cash flow on your account then they're most unlikely to require you with KYC. As much as they don't want to get onto kyc for their customers, they also have no option but to do it to follow the regulatory rules that's been placed on them.
The gambling platforms that I am interested in have KYC requirement, do you have any in mind that do not require for KYC? A friend won some money on a gambling platform and he was forced to pass KYC verification before they allow him to withdraw half of the money and the rest was never paid.
1518  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Keep your emotions balanced especially regarding Bitcoin on: January 14, 2023, 04:55:56 PM
I have emotions just as other humans like me but when it comes to crypto I've learned to control my emotion, the last time I was so on the edge of my sit after buying Bitcoin was in 2017 and I bought at a high price, the lesson I learned was to never buy Bitcoin at a very high price again.

Now I bought at 17,000$ and also 15,000$ and still sitting my ass on some stable coins just in case we see 10,000$, my emotions are zero now, maybe when 2025 is here and Bitcoin starts surging over 69,000$.

5% or 10% gains on my BTC does nothing to me, not even 50%.
1519  Economy / Economics / Re: Does a side job/business improve your finanical stability ? on: January 14, 2023, 01:01:32 PM
The word "financially stable" is like a scam to me, every rich men out there never stopped working, they always want to grow higher and that's where financially stable doesn't make any sense to me, I believe that if one is truly financially stable their money will never go down, their net worth will stay the same or grow higher always which is impossible.
1520  Economy / Speculation / Re: I think Bottom is gone on: January 14, 2023, 10:33:42 AM
This is a relief rally I believe, technical analysis is most times incorrect, my advice is do not rely on them, in crypto space never say never, I will still keep some USDT aside just in case, before I can say the word 'bottom is in" we will be sighting BTC halving few weeks away.

Right now the bottom is not in, we can still see a big decline so do not rush in to buy some coins.
