free bitcoin at vnbitcoin.org

http://www.vnbitcoin.org/freebitcoin.php

Why is an email address required?
( Can anyone confirm this to be a legit site? I don't like submitting my address to any site. )

Is it a one time payout?

Thanks for the submission.

I get suspicious when they ask for my email address without a reason. You could try filling in a fake email address.

Grin Just got .001 BTC from them .   anyone else receiving BTC from them yet ?

I got mine too. No problems

Thanks for the report.

going to add http://www.vnbitcoin.org/freebitcoin.php  to your list ?

I am still suspicious about your requiring an email address.

It seems you missed trzn.co
Tried it the last month. Hourly, got quite little amounts btw, 0.00001 BTC the first times, 0.000002 the last times, LOL!

Yes, it seems they payout very small amounts. Won't be adding it if they just give out dust.

Thanks again for letting us know.

This shows the payouts from that site. All dust.

For those using coinad and were concerned about not getting a payout... I got a payout today.
Carlos always pays out even though it may take a little while sometimes.

I got a payout from bitcoin4you.net as well recently. So they do still payout... even though it may take a while once one gets up to that quite high minimum payout value.

Sometimes one can get lost in trying to track all these faucets.   Wink

What's the deal with the 50$ a month (!!!!) inactivity fee? Undecided
For some people who created an account with you to hold for a long term, that might spell very expensive bad news.
Given the mandatory verification, and a mandatory "pre authorized debit" for TD customers (as Vogogo option does not work for them), you simply pave a ground for overly expensive, if not blatantly customer hostile service.
Are you desperately trying to loose your customers?

Could you not buy/sell $0.01 worth once per year to remain "active"?
Quote
As per our terms of service for dormant accounts, inactivity fees have NOT been charged to date due to our other development priorities. This announcement is to notify all users that we will be commencing the billing of dormant account fees on October 23 2013 at 11:00AM (MST). Inactivity for the purpose of determining dormancy is defined as a completed trade between BTC and CAD not occurring for over 1 year.
Cavirtex, have disabled small transactions "to avoid market manipulations". The cost to transfer some new Canadian funds into your Cavirtex account: 30$.
Those are the facts.
Cavirtex representative? Care to comment?!

I can answer one not the cavirtex rep but its in their FAQ albeit their is no online payment option for $5 as all I see is Vogogo
https://www.cavirtex.com/faq#eft_fee

Why do you charge such a high fee for EFT?

After 2 years of processing EFT direct withdrawals and having this service shut down by some banks and payment processors, we have learned that this method is the highest risk for fraud even if we perform user verification. In the current state we must provide large capital reserves to account for chargebacks and must price-in the risk of loss we take into the fee.
The best and lowest cost way to deposit funds in Canada is through online bill payment. We encourage you to use that method as it is only $5. Our payment providers support all major banks for online bill payment, if a bank is not supported please submit a support ticket with the name of your bank and we will have it added.

Using Vogogo is the way to do the online bill payment method now. I believe I read ( don't have time to dig it up now ) that one doesn't need to have an account with Vogogo to use that method. That is just what you setup as the payee at your bank. I have found that sending off an email to Virtex to ask about things like this usually gets a quick reply.

New member here, having found most of these faucets myself from other sources (mostly bitcoinwork.info and landofbitcoin.com). I notice that many of the faucets don't have any description here. Perhaps you could put in some details e.g. frequency or average payout?

I would like the average payout as well. Some are much better than others and you have to find the average payout yourselves  Sad

Things change too often with these faucets to try and keep the OP updated with that kind of information.
It would be a full time job for me.

Just follow this thread and you will get reports and updates on this kind of information.
See the recent posts from GoldBit89 and chondrite for example.

Just using these faucets for a while will get you used to which ones are better than
others... everyone will find their favorites that they will keep coming back to. Some
will just try them out until they get a payout to try out the Bitcoin system and then
stop...

Feel free to become an active participant in this community and offer any feedback
and comments you want on your experience with these faucets and other Free Bitcoin
sites.

Thanks

i will update as i come across more.

Yup.  Let us know what you find. Thanks.
1517  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Cavirtex 50$ a month inactivity fee on: November 09, 2013, 05:40:05 AM
So the fee only occurs when you have funds in the account?  I just want to use the to buy or sell BTC, so if I don't buy/sell within a year it's a $50/month fee?

After a year of inactivity they will charge you a $50 fee every month until there are no funds in your account.

They don't want the risk of holding money for people for long periods of time. They don't want to act like a bank.

If one only wants to buy BTC infrequently then they should wait until they want to buy before transferring money there.

If one wants to store money there, for some odd reason, it isn't hard to be active.

Cool man! I dont know what my friend actually did I think he clicked a link like to play a game and it threw his antivirus up right away. Ive had that happen to but it was false alarm. Or knowing him it was the pr0n sites he visits and antivirus coincidentally caught it while searching for free coins. Who knows, either way I wasnt trying to poke fun at you. He knows my handle and I hope he sees this lol.

Thanks for the cautionary tale. It may help someone else besides your friend.
1519  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Cavirtex 50$ a month inactivity fee on: November 09, 2013, 05:29:47 AM
Hello everybody.
As a new forum member I am resorted to posting it here rather than in Cavirtex (Canadian bitcoin exchange) thread.
Recently Cavirtex, introduced an absolutely ridiculous new fee: inactivity fee.
They will be charging 50$ a month if you do not perform transactions during a year period.
For some people who created an account with them with a strategy to hold for a long term, that might spell very expensive bad news.

Cavirtex, are you out of your mind? Are you desperately trying to loose your customers?

If you are a Canadian and a Cavirtex customer, please express your opinion.
Also if you are a Canadian please let us know what alternative exchanges do you use?

Virtex is not a bank. You shouldn't use them like that.

They have had that inactivity fee for quite a while. They were very open in announcing it.
Why would anyone hold any money on an exchange for over a year?
Sorry, but you have completely missed the point. As a matter of fact your statement additionally emphesises the absurdity of the fee. In order to execute a single trade you have to have some cash in the account. To transfer the cash to Cavirtex from your bank will cost you 30$. Effectively you will either be forced to either pay the fee associated with buying, or you will have to pay 50$ a month. There is no other exchange, that I know of that has similar draconian rules.

If you have no money there you don't have to worry about losing any of it.  If you do have money there buy a small amount of BTC and you will have activity, which will keep you safe for another year of inactivity.    Roll Eyes

I dont always waste precious time on the internet, but when I do, its making 10cents a day in BTCs playing stupid games and downloading trojans.

But you have lots of time to come here and make very useful comments don't you?

Please let us all know from your experience based knowledge about these faucets about which of them one can download a trojan from.

Have a sense of humor man...and I dont use these just had a friend try using one a few weeks back and it gave him a trojan. Im sure its not a regular thing just made me think of it, "sorry to ruin your Bitcoin faucet party" - in Forrest Gump voice

In addition to giving out Bitcoin for free, or for viewing videos, some sites also have 'offer boards'. I always recommend to people to stay away from such things...
just use the faucets etc., that only require one to input ones BTC address.
