1501  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Champions League 2022/23 Season on: February 13, 2023, 03:30:27 PM
...
Since these two teams are not in their right shape it will make the game to be more interesting because right now because of the problems the both teams are facing no one knows which team is strong enough to win the game. Psg is my favourite which I will love them to win the game.

I agree both teams have some weak games, but that can be cause they are resting players for tomorrow night... CL is an important competition. Bayern looks like a favorite, but I would like to see PSG in the next stage. I think we can expect some goals, and I will probably try with both teams to score & 2.5.

And I will probably combine that bet with Tottenham to win. I am still thinking about it, Milan is weak in the last weeks, and I still remember how Italians generally performed very badly last year... I would like to see Tottenham kicking their asses for all my loses from that time. After some great wins in the last games, I am somehow sure they can do very well in Italy.

Good luck all!
1502  Economy / Gambling / Re: 🎲 StarBets.io 🎲 || A Crypto-based iGaming Platform 🎲 on: February 13, 2023, 09:57:29 AM
Thanks Klarki for posting the event here! Something to look forward to as it is always fun to receive some free Star tokens thanks to the wheel. I also saw yesterday on the site a deposit bonus of 100%. Minimum to deposit is 10$ but the wagering requirements of 100x is too high in my eyes. Normally that is around 30-40x.

They often have a wheel and that deposit bonus, I never tried it cause of that insane rollover. x30 would be amazing, but even x40 looks great comparing with x100. Well, maybe they will think about lowering rollover or at least make some special promotions for the forum members.

...
They also promise some other bonuses to their users throughout the week.

There are nice events and missions, but if you check the participants and how much they wager you will see that competition is pretty hard. Smiley
1503  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Rumors that US SEC would like to ban crypto staking on: February 12, 2023, 09:55:04 PM
I think it is for crypto staking on cexes and not dexes. So you instance there and stake on the dex

Well, CEX is regulated and should follow some rules and regulations, staking on CEX exchange is not the same as "staking on-chain", at least I think it's like that. Rules and regulations, each country have some stupid ones... But whatever it is, I am sure that some (if not a lot) US citizens will find a way to continue with staking on some CEX-es like they find a way to gamble in crypto casinos that don't accept players from the US.

Another FUD was brought to the market. No wonder, after all this growth, now you need a reason to drop the price. I'm sure there will be no ban on staking. Ethereum just moved to PoS and is now, for the most part, controlled by American companies. Banning staking means banning all Ethereum. No one will take that step, it's like trying to ban bitcoin mining. This is another speculation designed to temporarily destabilize the crypto market.

I agree with you... this situation is about Kraken and its service, it's not about "staking" in general. But people like to create drama and FUD, sensational headlines get all the attention.
1504  Economy / Gambling / Re: Freebitco.in - FUN Token Investment Experiment on: February 12, 2023, 08:50:57 PM
...
Maybe you are a busy person? But for someone who is not in a hurry and they are also bored, they will like to play their spins slowly. Not only per day but they will also spin it one by one. There must be a different kind of thrill of doing it and I think I can get a better prize this way than if I spin them all together.

If your last claim is last year then I can't imagine the amount of free spins you are having now. That must be huge? And you see, it takes time for you to collect them all but if I were you, I will just sit my fun tokens there to earn passive returns and exciting rewards than gambling them because you can surely lose them quickly.

With 2500 Fun tokens locked he will get:

I am not busy or bored, I like to keep WoF spins as long as I can (usually I spin them all before the Lambo draw...), currently, I have over 1k WoF spins on waiting:

We have two months until the Lambo draw, 60 days x 9 spins every day... I think soon it will be 10 spins daily. I guess I will have around 1700 spins in that time... can I hope that one of them will be Rolex? Smiley That would be awesome! Smiley
1505  Economy / Gambling / Re: Crashscores.com 💥 Realtime Crash Game Statistics on: February 12, 2023, 07:32:10 PM
This is very interesting, especially for us who like to chase high payouts. I'm trying to remember when and where I saw something like this, but it was too long ago. Mostly x1000 doesn't come that often, and x10k or more comes maybe once a day... with the help of these statistics, we can see how long it has been since the last big crash, in case it has been a long time, we start chasing some higher payouts.

I like the idea, but the site could be much better arranged. It's a bit slow for me (I am not sure cause of me or your site), but I will bookmark it. I like to chase high payouts from time to time, and this site looks like a perfect start... before playing I would like to know the highest crashes in the last hours.

Good luck Stakefast. I would like to see you take this site to some higher level. Smiley
1506  Economy / Gambling / Re: ⭐ BTCGOSU ⭐ THE ULTIMATE BITCOIN CASINO GUIDE ⭐ CRYPTO AFFILIATE OF THE YEAR 🏆 on: February 11, 2023, 05:26:03 PM
GOSUS, this week, I had the pleasure of visiting iGB London, which is the largest international iGaming event. It was super cool and I met a lot of great people, even though I am sad I could not meet "everyone". Also had nice chats with numerous operators, including Stake, BC.Game, Coinslotty, Fairspin etc. etc.

Did you manage to arrange some "super bonuses" for Gosu players? Smiley

I'm wondering what your impressions of all of them are... would you single out any of them as special?

I did not make a lot of photos but I will share some with you soon - almost 7,000 gambling industry people, it was amazing.

Ohhhhhhh, and let us not forget that I also received our Award for "Crypto Affiliate of the Year" by AffPapa - great people and I am still very proud of that achievement, so thanks again to all of you as well as AffPapa!

Congrats! We all know that BTCGosu deserved that! I hope there will be many more in the future! Smiley
1507  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What is Gambling? ChatGPT Responses. on: February 11, 2023, 02:54:40 PM
...
I think the only two words a 5 year old can understand in this answer are "play" and "toys". I can't test it right now, no kids of 5 years old around, but that's what I remember from the times when my kids were around that age.

If someone has this opportunity, please read that text to them aloud and tell about their reaction.

And all the other explanations are almost identical, no? Like there is no difference between a 15 year old and 50 year old. Honestly, I expected much more from ChatGPT.

I think that explanation for 5 years old kids is ridiculous. Especially the part:

Quote
...Just like in any game, it's important to remember to only play with things you can afford to lose, and never to gamble more than you can afford.

Kids cry when they lose, and explaining to them what is "afford to lose" in any game is pretty hard, but of course, with constant repeating and explaining the kid will learn after some time. My daughter is 4 and a half years old, and in the last few weeks I am trying to explain to her the term "risk"... I will only say it's not so simple and easy, but repeating is the mother of learning, and of course, the pain from making too risky stunts can be a good motivation.
Anyway, I wouldn't dare to even try explaining gambling to a 5-year-old kid, it's too early! It's simple to manipulate kids and move their point of interest, just say "It's nothing interesting/It's bad/It's not for kids/ETC" and move the topic to something else. Some kids can be advanced or not, it's up to a parent to see the kid's possibility to fully understand something. And it's pretty easy to spot it, kids don't hide when they are interested in something...

As for other answers, it's nothing special... This ChatGPT is pretty hyped, but to be honest, I don't see anything special in all that.
1508  Economy / Economics / Re: Untouchable Savings: Do you have it? on: February 11, 2023, 07:48:27 AM

I guess the conclusion is pretty simple, just saving without living is pointless.

I know a similar "short story" about two roses walking in the desert... I like to think it's about life, maybe even more about girls Smiley:

Two roses walk through the desert and after a long time, they come across a spring. But when they wanted to drink, the spring told them that they could, but to leave the petal. One rose gave a petal and drank the water, the other kept safe. And so spring after spring, one gave petals and drank water, the other did not... until both withered.

We need some enjoyment and entertainment in life, without that what's the point of life?
1509  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Signs of compulsive gambling on: February 10, 2023, 08:03:22 PM
"Compulsive" is a strong word here, if something is "compulsive" there are just two ways to control it, you either have a strong character, or there are some pills! Hard truth! If you can't control it it will eat you sooner or later, whatever it is... gambling, drugs, or some pussy!

I believe we all feel the urge to do some things, but before doing it we think about whether can we afford it or not... and about the consequences if we "overdo it". Compulsive people don't think, they just do it! They follow that urge no matter what and that gets them in trouble. Sooner or later, as I pointed out what happens if you lose control.
1510  Economy / Gambling / Re: FreeBitco.in-$200 FreeBTC⭐Win Lambo🔥0.2BTC DailyJackpot🏆$32,500 Wager Contest on: February 10, 2023, 06:49:35 PM
I have a question:

SEC just fined Kraken for $30 Million for offering "staking" services to users. And since exchange staking isn't really staking but just technically paying interest;
Do you think this will affect on services like freebitco.in that's also offering to pay interest for users holding their bitcoins in there? Or how would this be any different?

I don't think so. Freebitco.in has clearly mentioned that they are going to pay interest on their deposits.
I think Kraken was fined because they used the term staking and would not have indulged in the consensus mechanism of staking.
But bitcoin doesn't have any staking system. So it's simple that the sites is paying its users just to hold funds on their site.
So I don't think there is any reason why SEC would fine freebitco.in

As I get it it's just for US citizens, others can continue with their staking without any worries. The US is tough when it comes to laws and regulations, and people from there are restricted from many things... I can't even count how many times I saw "not for US citizens" in some casinos, ICOs, or any other service. The FBI has long arms... I guess we all know that.

Well, I wouldn't compare Kraken and Freebitcoin in the first place. And I don't think we need to worry about staking in general, especially if you are not a US citizen.
1511  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How to deal with shitcoiners without being harsh about reality. on: February 10, 2023, 02:08:43 PM
...
Can you please detail for me what happened around 2017 with Eth?

I remember 2014-15 and how many people screamed about how Ethereum is another ICO scam. And look where it's now...

...
The last thing you'd want is them actually picking the right altcoins (though unlikely) that would've performed really well but they missed out just because you forced them to go with BTC.

Nicely said! Many crazy things happened in the crypto space... even Doge reached $0.7 at some point. And I am sure we will see many more surprises in the future, so it's better to let friends lose some money than to blame you for missing a big hit! That always turns into something very ugly.
1512  Economy / Gambling / Re: Own a profitable gambling site. Looking for investors on: February 10, 2023, 08:56:05 AM
...
Hey! So I'm not really looking for a loan although I am open to it if the conditions are correct.

The loan must be repaid, the investment may fail due to "bad market conditions".

Influx of cash "would allow us to grow a lot faster" mmm
As I have stated before and if math is not an opinion, if you can earn 1K-2K daily... you need around 100 days (maximum ... 3 months) to have the amount you're asking as loan.
3 months Smiley I don't know but it doesn't sound to me "such long time".

Correct. An influx of cash would allow us to grow faster. I'd rather not wait ~4 months if a deal can be made that benefit both parties. I thought I'd give it a try to see if anyone is interested. If no one is interested then fine, but at least I tried to solve my problem of wanting to grow faster. And again I have no issue showing a potential investor the whole site, backend, anything they'd want to see.

Well, take a look at this:
Ultimate list of crypto Gambling sites that offers investment in the bankroll - https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5247587.0

Check how others have done it, it seems much more serious than looking for investors through the forums. Some of these casinos are no longer in business, for all sorts of reasons, but let's not go off topic...

I understand you can show everything, and sorry for my suspicion, but I have seen many scams. It's possible to make everything look great just to attract investors, with fake players and their deposits/withdrawals. It's easy to fool unexperienced people...
1513  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Why I will never trust top exchanges on: February 09, 2023, 04:40:22 PM
...
I still use Binance exchange but I don't trust them, there is a difference between not trusting and not using. Master 2know.

Why would you use them if you don't trust them? I guess that would be fine if there are no alternatives, but in this case, there are many.  Of course, I am not talking about some 100% faith in the service, but if I don't have some basic confidence I will probably move away and I will not make any deposits.

By the way, after mandatory KYC I simply moved away from Binance... it's a top exchange, but I don't like this part.
1514  Economy / Gambling / Re: 🦊 Betnomi.com 🔐 Icarus Poker Series | Discussion Thread ♠️♥️♣️♦️ on: February 09, 2023, 02:44:29 PM
-snip- what we have not yet talked about is the distribution of points on the respective tournament days... some suggestions?
My suggestion would be to get points for the first 10 places. 1st place gets 10 points, 2nd place gets 9 points and 10th place gets 1 point. Of course, that's only good if we have at least 15 or more participants. I think that's how it was done in the other poker tournaments.  Smiley

Yes, it was like that before... I guess it can be the same, the top places get more points, and in the end, the first 6/8/9 (depending on the final table size) will get the seat on the final table.

buy-in: 0.001BTC

0.001 is $22.5 at the moment, but we all know that can change. Buy-in is displayed in dollars in my case (or it can be euros, as I remember that needs to be checked upon registration), so it would be easier to set buy-in in dollars, like $20 per game... maybe?!

time: 18:00 cet

Well, this time will be tricky for me... I am not sure how others feel about it, but can we move it to earlier or later?
1515  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Features in Crypto Casinos for the Elderly on: February 09, 2023, 07:46:36 AM
You can deposit some coins to your uncle's account on a crypto casino, I think he can already manage to do it on his own. You just have to remind him to be careful in pasting BTC addresses in withdrawing.
...

You can't teach an old dog new tricks so easily. I think OP should set him up completely, from creating a wallet and registration to making first bets, and in case he makes some profit he needs to show him how to withdraw.

I would like to hear the rest of this story... some old habits are hard to change, especially in old age. I think it's not just gambling, but the ritual of going to the casino, meeting old friends, and all the other stuff that goes with getting out of the house. I wonder if he will make a shift to crypto gambling or if he will find it less interesting and go back to brick-and-mortar casinos.
1516  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: I'm looking for a Casino which has a similar VIP Program of Stake on: February 08, 2023, 10:07:04 PM
You can also try googling for best crypto casino VIP program or similar interesting keywords and see what the search engines will spit out.

Here are three examples of blog posts you can come across when you do that:
https://bitedge.com/blog/which-crypto-gambling-vip-program-is-best/#bitsler-vip-program
https://bestbitcoincasino.net/top-bitcoin-casinos-vip-programs/
https://bitcasinorank.com/bitcoin-casino-vip-programs/

BC.Game, Stake, and FortuneJack appears in all 3 sources.

BC has nice rewards for SVIP from what I have seen from people around. Even that daily "Mega Spin" can give a nice monthly income, but it requires daily activity. And every level gives additional benefits... I guess before someone reaches SVIP "rakeback" and "recharge (after 22 VIP level)" can be significantly high! One Gosu guy I know had over $1k daily recharge! But that comes with activity and wagering...

1517  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: how many times have you intended to stop gambling on: February 08, 2023, 08:53:48 PM
I never had such intentions... I had/have moments when I decide not to play some games ever again, then months (or years) go by without playing that game, but somehow I always come back at some point. With a new approach and different strategies, at least I like to think it's like that.

I have periods when I don't gamble for different reasons... because I don't have enough time or money, anyway it's not like something disturbing for me. I learned to be patient and wait for "my moment". I guess that comes with age and experience... Gambling should be fun and entertaining, I will never stop gambling probably, but I learned to control my temper a lot compared with myself in my 20ies, and probably early 30ies!
1518  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: why people are always interested in altcoins on: February 08, 2023, 07:06:07 PM
Because altcoins can makes huge profits.
...

Yes, they can make huge profits. Ethereum, Monero, BNB, and many others are good examples of how much alts can actually rise. And it's not over, these coins have the potential to go even higher. I guess each of us made some profit with alts, some a lot some less, but everyone caught at least one.

But besides making a profit I really like to use and explore some new projects and their coins. I am not a pure investor who thinks only about the profit, I like to support some projects simply by using it.
1519  Economy / Gambling / Re: ✅ SwC Poker ♣️ BITCOIN POKER ♣️ Hold'em✅ PLO✅ Mixed✅ MTT✅ ♣️ BBJ🌟 ♣️ BIG BTC🏆 on: February 07, 2023, 07:59:27 PM

You have been playing on SwC lately? Memories my man... I need to check my account as well! Honestly, a series would be too much and I still hate the fact that the new management is probably even worse than the old one when it comes to communication and stuff... Still, maybe we could have some MEMORIAL tournament with the oldschoolers some day. Wink

There's a 10/20 table that also counts for BBJ (before the minimum for BBJ was 25/50), so I played a bit on that table with leftovers. I burned my amount with some rushed moves... it's still the same site, I didn't notice any big changes, and the traffic is pretty much the same as before.
I still have those two tickets for the BIG BTC tournament, but it's too late for me...

When it comes to the "Memorial tournament" why not! And if SwC wishes to sponsor that and make some comeback on the forum it would be even better. Smiley
1520  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Share Tips For Newbie Traders on: February 07, 2023, 04:32:07 PM
Trading can be a lonely and boring business at some point because, you do not have anyone to talk to and are just alone with your computer, phone, or tablet in your room, just trading.

If you are lonely and bored while doing something you should quit doing it! Why would you even start doing something you don't really like? People who love numbers and math like to trade and do all sorts of calculations in their heads... It's never "just trading" and it's not necessarily "alone"! You read all kinds of articles, you need to be active and look for important news almost everywhere. There are trading groups and forums (like this place) where you talk with others and share your thoughts if you want to. If you want to you can take it on a higher level of course...

And many newbies may at some point think that they are probably wasting too much of their time. If you are in this situation right now, I want you to know that you are not wasting your time.

It's not a waste of time if you are making money with it or if you can learn how to make money from it one day!

If you are an experienced trader reading this, how did you know that you were not wasting your time trading at the time when you felt this way?

Well, I never felt lonely or bored from trading. I wasted some money (at that time not much I guess, but now those amounts in crypto would be a little fortune), and that probably made me nervous and mad, but later I discovered what is actually good for me... patience is a virtue and a skill!
