We are very much willing to help, but at least you could give us more information on what help you want from this forum,
We know that you want to mine 1060 cards with ETH, so what could be the problem? are you having difficulties in setup?
there are a lot of information here to be read on, just try to search things you want to know.

what I see is that, at the power drop time miner encountered issues, such as probably pool connection problem and the likes,
try to check your miner Logs, well it depends on what miner you're using, check timings on when it drop and check logs what happen on your miner at that moments event.
Mining power will obviously dropped when it does not mine or mining and will resume upon recovery.

if its banned to a certain locals only, there will be no problem with it, as you can still purchase or transact BTC to other locations online.
Other countries is now starting to embrace BTC with corresponding implementing rules to exchanges for a regulatory purposes.
Its a currency disruption, its a technology driven currency.

Bitcoin will never be regulated by the state. Perhaps the state will try to create their own crypto currency and they will be monitored by the government. Don't know how it's going to have the trust of the people, but such currency will be more stable that's for sure.
That is no true. There are already some countries where Bitcoin is already regulated, like Netherlands and some US states, Japan. And there is no harm in Bitcoin regulation, that could only benefit because it would lead to biger addoption, especialy in businesses, and then you can divide legal from illegal Bitcoin operations. Regulation doesn't mean centralization that many users have fear. The notion of bitcoin being regulated is a fallacious one. What you are talking about is fiat to bitcoin exchanges being regulated. This is not the same as "Bitcoin is begin regulated". You can't regulate the protocol. You can work for bitcoin, get paid in bitcoin, and buy something from someone with bitcoin, without the government being able to do anything about it. That's the whole point of bitcoin. Yeah, some people here got confused, Bitcoin can never be regulated but the users like exchanges has been already started out regulating them, what I am worried about is the rules they might be implemented with these exchanges as some governments are exaggerating taxes and withdrawals limitation they are focusing on money laundering purpose.

AMD has still the lower price compared to Nvidia and Hashrates are almost the same in certain Algo Like Ethash,
of course this will depend on which GPU we are talking about, like for example for RX580 AMD and GTX1070 Nvidia,
they can both do about 28-31 hashrate for ethash but the price difference is around 80$-100$, if you like to Mine other than Ethash I would recommend
nvidia

Well, He lies to hate bitcoin but bought a lot upon dips, banks don't declare war about bitcoin, I don't read specifically to the statements of any banks that they will go war for Bitcoin or Crypto Currencies, besides some of them are in interest to use blockchain technology to their businesses. The blog also exaggerate some things that the reason for BTC dips claimed on what dimon says, but in reality it is also the effect of segwits and china's Banning ICO.

now I can't even get 4 cards working... they crash as soon as I start mining
does wiring matter for the separate PSUs? I have three risers and the attached GPUs being powered by one PSU, and the rest of the computer and 2 GPUs and their riser powered by it.
What Miner are you using? start with at least 2 GPU without risers, 1 GPU to the main PCI-e x16, and the 2nd GPU to the next PCI-e x16, then fire up miner. Use some easy to use miner like EWBF or Claymore for testing or troubleshooting purposes, check also your PSU power rating 1080ti's are power hungry especially when mining. goodluck and happy mining

my question, Will BIOS Modding can make damage a graphics card?
No, not really If you know what you're doing then you can do modding it can increase your hashrates and possible earnings, you can downclock or overclock your card settings, however, do that at your own risk, If you bricked your card it can be pain to revive it again. there are topics here intended for modding different type of cards, read and read and ask questions. Good luck

No Issues with me, I am using windows 7, so far this is my main tool to troubleshoot my rigs remotely, been using it more than a year and upto now, hashrates doesn't affect that much even with a long time connection while doing monitoring.

Hello guys, I have some difficulties with my mining rig. I started a big project with 6 Mining Rigs. To evaluate the project i use this setup: RAM: Crucial 4GB DDR4 Mainboard: MSI Pro Solution Intel Z170A CPU: Intel DUal Core Celeron G3950/3000 Disk: DREVO X1 Series 60GB SSD GPU: 1x Nvidia 1070 WF 8GB Power Supply: Corsair CP-9020094-EU RMX Serie RM1000X ATX 1000w GPU Adapter: PCI Express USB 3.0 Riser 1x to 16x Monero OS: Simplemining.net I put all the parts together. When I turn on the Rig the Fans start moving and a Red Light start for a few seconds. But I don't receive a picture on my screen. I used different monitors and cables. It still doesn't work. I tried to plug in the GPU just with the Adapter for power and then I tested it with additional power supply. It still doesn't work. Please help me guys. I spend a lot of money on that project! Thank you very much. Best Regards, Dean Here are the pictures of the "Rig" https://imgur.com/a/0d8EXFor isolation purpose, Don't use riser first, plugged in the 1070 card to the main PCI-e Slot, make sure that the main board power has plugged properly the 24pins and 8pins, try to bootup, if nothing happens, removed vcard and use the onboard.

If you tend to see meaning of it, it is already answered, Constructive is tend to help, you may criticize the original poster or everybody's post which your intention is to help or correct them, mocking or humiliating which doesn't help is the opposite of it, it is not actually necessarily that a post may be long, a short message tend to be constructive when it does help people what they need.

Should I increase the temp limit? It will also increase your power limit.
No the two can be separately adjusted, just tick the chain button in MSI afterburner, increase the temp limit and try to lower your power limit your desired hashrate, the trick is a trial and error depending on your taste and to your acceptable power consumptions.

I guess not, if they will do that today considering the today's pricing its like putting their money at a high risk situation, business people tend to think wisely and will not engaged on a high risk situations, what they could do is to play with it, create FUDS and mouthful ways against bitcoin for their own interests.

Tahiti that does 300+ on equihash does 600+ on cryptonight.
Then I should choose Monero? its up to you, if you will consider earnings as your purpose then check your power usage, another is to check whattomine.com, its a good GPU reference and also consider the bios modification on the two algo's mention.

Some questions
Is it better to do a stacked design with MB/power supply on the bottom and GFX cards on top? This seems to be the norm. I was originally thinking of it being flat with mobo behind (or in front depending on orientation) and GFX in the back, but maybe this is because I have been looking at server cases. I think the stacked design makes sense if I want to be able to throw the case on a wire rack which is the plan as they are sturdy, easy to manage cables on them, can be mobile if I need to move a whole shelf.
How many people stack their rigs? I've seen some pics of some big mining farms and they don't stack them. i feel like it would be a hassle to do maintenance if the rigs were stacked on top of each other.
Size of rigs? I was originally planning for 6 GPUs, but seems like it wouldn't be much effort to scale it to 8 or 10 GPUs. What do people typically build?
I have a stacked and flat Rigs 5u rackmounted, guess what, I found it very accessible for a stacked rigs in terms hardware management, it just that flat rigs has its beauty that you may compared to server types of hardware but once it got faulty it is much pain managing them compared to stacked ones.

As I know, almost exchanger in China is changing from ".cn" to ".com" to get out of their government control. Maybe it's reason for Bitcoin price rising back today . I'm a little bit sad because I don't have any money left to buy more Bitcoin when it's only 2960$ or 3200$ per Bitcoin don't be sad, history repeat itself, this is a proven lifecycle of bitcoin, if you made some profit with this event even not that big, be grateful, lessons are learned and to be applied later on, prepare for the next big event.

Jamie Dimon might not believe in bitcoin, but his customers do and are instructing them to buy on their behalf. Also, JP Morgan have been trying to get an alt off the ground - https://www.jpmorgan.com/global/Quorum which is based on the Ethereum platform, and I guess they're miffed that their customers arn't interested and want to buy bitcoin instead! they are being disrupted and worried to be left behind, now they were interested to consider alts on their business, dirty tricks and tactics can do good with them. business as usual people.

Hi.
Using RX 580's and a custom bios. Not getting any crashes using Claymore miner, and not getting any hardware errors in HWINFO
However every now and then one of my cards (can be a different card each time) drops its hash rate to a fairly low figure. It bounces up again, but of course this is effecting my average and reported hash rate.
my temps are all good, sitting nicely between 65-72.
What might cause this?
You many need to increase the power limit in the MSI afterburner. It's currently at 0. What's a safe setting to put this on? Right now whilst trying to get it stable I don't mind my power usage Thanks often times every card has different mining behavior, are all of your cards identical? if yes, you may check your risers, try to swap them with other cards, or try to swap them with PCI-e slots, I don't think its a power limit issue. check also if the average drop bouncing up is acceptable, if yes then no need to fix, just remember not to fix if aint broken
