1501  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: when I invest in genesis-mining on: July 05, 2017, 08:02:07 AM
Hi guys, I wanted to know when I invest in genesis-mining, what is the benefit ? and what the difference between trading bitcoin " Forex" and Mining
Because want to make good  profit without risky .

You want good profit but without the risk? Then you are not in luck. To make good profit you must also be willing to risk and lose some money.

If you invest in Genesis Mining you dont get much after getting your investment back. Cloud mining contracts are not that profitable. Thats a fact.

Trading. What can I say, you have to be better at trading than most and be a gambler in some sense to make good profit from it. But the road to be a good trader involves losing money. Sometimes a lot.
1502  Economy / Marketplace / Re: Is there a way to raise money through public fundraising for sick friend? on: July 05, 2017, 07:52:51 AM
Ironman80 didnt return to this thread so I think he knows that we know whats up. I said this before, there are sociopaths out there who dont care who you are and they will do things like these to appeal to your kindness and scam you out of your money.

This is a BTC forum that has become a place of scams. This is the last place Ironman80 should be looking for suggestions in the first place if he really was in need.
1503  Economy / Marketplace / Re: Cryptocurrency trading for big profits on: July 05, 2017, 07:44:26 AM
Compared to other businesses, currently trading bitcoin / altcoin can bring huge profits. You can use the exchange in bittrex and poloniex as the best trading place today. Take advantage of all the features and make a profit.

Thats easier said than done. Theres only a portion thats consistently profitable in trading, the rest are losers, while others are barely breaking even.

But its hard no to make some money in the bull market of March to May. If you didnt make anything then you are doing something wrong.
1504  Economy / Marketplace / Re: Our prediction-markets on: July 05, 2017, 07:38:31 AM
Hey!

I wish using prediction-markets in order to increase the return from my crypto investments.

What are the LEGIT prediction-markets out there with crypto-topic related predictions and crypto-deposit/-withdrawal options?

You mean something like this? https://www.predictious.com/

I dont think those are profitable enough to make them worth all the effort. If you are into that kind of stuff, why dont you try sports betting or even cryptocurrency trading. The variance is higher but its more profitable.

You can land to cryptoforecast.com for all kind of crypto related predictions, suggestions, helpful tips on ROI.
This website fetches updates frequently many times a day.
Keeping inview that predictions can't be 100% true but helps you rather to be on time in respective markets.

I dont think thats a prediction market. That a software for helping predict the movement of cryptocurrencies. Why are they selling that instead of using it themselves? Do you make more money by selling it? lol

1505  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Poloniex account hacked and all monies traded away,TICKET NUMBER #271818 on: July 04, 2017, 02:07:32 PM
Dropping by to say, Im sorry bro. But theres no chance you are getting all that money back. What you should have done was withdraw all your coins to a wallet and back up your private keys and encrypt them.

Thats the price you pay for being negligent.
1506  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: blockchain.info wallet + Trezor for offline storage? on: July 04, 2017, 11:40:00 AM
I dont think you can use blockchain.info with a Trezor. But you can use a chrome addon developed by them or the Electrum desktop wallet with a Trezor which is much better.

Can I ask why you want blockchain.info specifically?
1507  Economy / Economics / Re: Consequences of mining pool controlled by a single country? on: July 04, 2017, 11:15:48 AM
miners will not destroy their own business, in fact this already happened in the past with a pool contorlling 51% of the hash, but they just shifted the hashrate to other pool and everythign resolved

chinese also know this, and it's the reason why there are many big pool in china that have a levelled hashrate

Even if they controlled 100% of the hashing power they wouldnt dare try to create any form of doubt in the system. They cant risk it failing because they have the most at stake in their own system.
1508  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: is Cryptoshop legit ? on: July 03, 2017, 02:03:26 PM
Avoid questionable online shops and services. If you are looking for a shop to buy some items, use purse.io instead. The items are from Amazon and you can purchase them at a discount through their service.
1509  Economy / Economics / Re: Why litecoin had SegWit so fast? on: July 03, 2017, 01:49:45 PM
Why did litecoin manage to get SegWit so fast while bitcoin is still slow and painful.

The creator of litecoin Charlie Lee supported it, talked with the necessary people and implemented a plan that no one had any real issues with hence it was approved sealed and a done deal.
https://www.cryptocoinsnews.com/litecoin-creator-charlie-lee-urges-jihan-wu-to-signal-for-segwit-antpool-obliges/
(Also the transaction capacity was not near the 1MB limit yet so a lot less impact they have more time to study things later)
Bitcoin the foundation and other groups suggested it met pushback and hence we had a blockscale debate on the best implementation due to a variety of political monetary and strategic issues that scaling presented and the transaction limit was approaching so issues and debate hence drama.

Maybe Charlie Lee and the whole LTC community thought it might be a better idea to be first in the market with Segwit and its benefits. Judging by the reaction of the crypto market in general, I would say they recieved it well. LTC went from under $10 months ago to $40 now.
1510  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: How to get started in bitcoin/altcoin development? on: July 03, 2017, 01:34:50 PM
I don't know if this sub forum is the right place to ask this or not but here it goes, i want to get started in bitcoin/altcoin development, know about how the system works instead of just using it and get to know how transactions work, how miners, wallets and coins are developed. A little information about my background, i have been C++ college courses for a year, data structures, object oriented concepts and the rest. i have also been web developing using node among others for a year, i tried checking out github repos of coins like bitcoin and ethereum but it's a little to big and i don't know where to start. I know you have to start somewhere so if you've been in my shoes a few years ago, how did you get better at it? how did you start? thanks.

Here you go:
https://bitcoin.org/en/developer-guide
https://github.com/bitcoinbook/bitcoinbook

The developer guide is always a good place to start, better than the white paper if you ask me. Everything about the blockchain like the hashing, proof of work and all the other stuff is explained well enough for a non-coder to understand.
1511  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Is the bank transfer to CEX.IO normally? on: July 02, 2017, 01:52:32 PM
bL4nkcode //

Yes I have tried many times.

There is no reply.

Contact your bank and ask them if the wire transfer went through from their end and make them call the receiving bank if the wire was received on the other end. If both answer yes, contact CEX again.

Im sure they are not running with your money. But theres surely something wrong with your transaction.
1512  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: removal of taxes on bitcoin and recognition as currency is booming in the world on: July 02, 2017, 01:39:19 PM
I guess this gives people a reason now to adopt Bitcoin, for tax evasion. Smiley I mean, they also have no way of tracking down Bitcoin movements in and out of the country right? I don't see how they can tax on every Bitcoin transaction. Even if US wanted their citizens to declare their Bitcoins, who would?

Glad that Bitcoin is gaining recognition, and now Bitcoin may be used by large companies or billionaires in the near future. Cheesy

You dont get it, by declaring it a currency it gives the government an easier time and a clearer perspective on what to do if they think a BTC user has allegedly broken some laws. This is also just the beginning. BTC as a currency is easier to regulate.

If you think that their government have no way of tracking BTC movements, you are wrong.
1513  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Craig Wright Threatens Bitcoin Community in Surprise Conference Speech on: July 02, 2017, 01:30:24 PM
The core team is corrupt to the core.  The only possible 'scaling' solution they offer is Lightning Network,
which can't work without centralized banking hubs.  I'm sorry to burst anyone's bubble, but it's true.

https://medium.com/@jonaldfyookball/mathematical-proof-that-the-lightning-network-cannot-be-a-decentralized-bitcoin-scaling-solution-1b8147650800

Yeah ok, but how can you use that argument to defend Craig Wright whos scamming everyone by saying hes the inventor of BTC, Jihan Wu and his Asic boost, and Roger Ver whos taking a big risk in supporting a hard fork?

Are you saying you are on the side of the scammer?

1514  Economy / Marketplace / Re: Selling ideas on: July 01, 2017, 12:12:02 PM
It depends on how good your idea is. But always remember that we have a tendency to overestimate how good our ideas are. Your reputation and resume also counts. Why would an angel investor give you some funds if you dont have the experience to back it up?

If you really think your idea is good, do the shortcut. Make a presentation and do an ICO fundraiser.
1515  Economy / Speculation / Re: Are declining stock markets good or bad for Bitcoin? on: July 01, 2017, 11:53:20 AM
Theres an argument that a financial crisis could be good for not only BTC but for other cryptocurrencies as well. We have witnessed traditional investors' appetite for risk as shown in their willingness to directly join in ICOs. This means that they are open in investing in new types of wealth generators.
1516  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Cashing out on other platforms on: July 01, 2017, 09:15:24 AM
I have seen many times such questions about other e-currencies and after one or two days some new guy will come and post about a new "e-currency exchange site" along with a pleasant experiences with them.

Is it normal : a person is aware of these many different payment processors (Payza, Neteller, Payoneer, Skrill, Paytoo) and having balances there but not aware of how to cash out them. Some logical lagging warns us.

Perhaps his account isnt a verified account? If thats the case then its bad to deal with him because you might get your own account connected to some nefarious dealings online.

I know some of you love to help people around the forum, but please do be careful.
1517  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Level 2 Verification - Incomplete @poloniex on: July 01, 2017, 09:10:54 AM
Well, we ve all been very patient but this issue s been going on for months now and it s about time for them to resolve this problem.
The problem is that no matter how much profit Poloniex has made with their insanely mad volumes, they still aren't willing to expand their staff crew significantly.

That is simply said unacceptable for an exchange that is basically settling itself in the top of the crypto market. I don't see any significant changes here, unless they start expanding their staff crew.

Yeah thats true. Although I still use Poloniex with the majority of my volume, I have also been starting to use Bittrex. For disgruntled users, give Bittrex a try. Their volume has been good enough lately.
1518  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] ⚽ XFCCOIN ▐ Fantasy Football Manager Revolution!▐ 800BTC RAISED SO FAR ⚽ on: July 01, 2017, 09:06:28 AM
Why is everyone becoming very impatient on getting XFC listed on a major exchange like Bittrex and Poloniex? The better thing to do is to wait for the football season to start and get the platform started so that it will start earning real revenue before planning on dumping your XFC. Greed will get you nowhere.

The primary reason for getting on a good exchange is so that XFC gets better traction & brand awareness among the crypto community leading up to the football season. Some remaining ICO XFC could also be sold at a strong valuation which would provide more marketing dollars.

Most cryptos even ones valued in the hundreds of millions have no revenue yet, this is normal but it would have been strategically incorrect for a STRAT/MAID/REP/GAME to wait until they had a platform & revenue to list on the biggest exchanges they could as soon as they could.

But if you are really honest with yourself thats not the only reason why you want XFC to be listed in a good exchange. You want it to pump so that you can sell and make some profit. If we all really cared for the project, the listing and in what exchange will not matter for now. The main concern is for the XFC community to use the site themselves and to spread the word.
1519  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Does Bitcoin has any intrinsic value? on: June 30, 2017, 04:20:07 AM
Intrinsic is defined as natural, inborn or innate. The traditionalists dont see BTC as having intrinsic value but what it has is utility. From that it has developed its own circular economy.

Compare that with gold. It's the most precious metal the traditionalists love because it has intrinsic value, it also has utility, has a circular economy and its scarce.

As a Bitcoiner you have to question their beliefs. Does having intrinsic value really matter if BTC has utility that gives it real value?

You can also go deeper in asking, what is value?
1520  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Cashing out on other platforms on: June 30, 2017, 03:59:46 AM
Hi,

I know that this isn't the right forum to make this question but sure anyone here should know a tip or two...

I have done some work i have to cashout but they are only paying on the following plataforms "Payza, Neteller, Payoneer, Skrill, Paytoo", is there any way to send the money to my credit card or use a trusted broker to send to a paypal account?

Thanks

Cant you use one of those payment platforms? I have heard good things about Skrill and Neteller, both which belong to the same company. If you arent hiding anything or doing anything illegal then get yourself verified in one of them to make things easier for you instead of relying in the market place of this forum.
