15061  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: ledger expects to sell 1 million hardware wallets this year on: June 12, 2017, 02:17:49 PM
I think that number of 1 million ledger to be sell this year is rather exaggerated number and this news is actually only one type of good promotion for this
company, just imagine people who read that so many ledger wallets will be sold-they think why should I not get one for me Smiley

It is good to have options to store coins in hardware wallets in addition to other available ways to keep our coins safe. With time there will be increasing demand for hardware wallets,so I'm sure that at some point this figure will be reached.
15062  Economy / Economics / Re: Investment for Bitcoins on: June 10, 2017, 10:00:08 AM
BTC Anyone got idea for investing in bitcoins than bitcoin mining which is already dead?

Also not the captcha thingy faucet which needs thousands of clicks for just 0.0000XX btc per harvest?

Thank you Cheesy

I agree that maybe the best investment in bitcoin is to buy, especially if it is a long-term investment. If you have money for something big maybe you can set up your home mining farm-using solar energy or if you have extra cheap electricity, something like this https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=I1v2rpooBUs

This is some year and a half old video and things are probably changed, mining bitcoin these days requires a great initial investment.
15063  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2017-06-07] Malware Snatches 13BTC ($36,000) From Bitcoin User on: June 09, 2017, 02:49:24 PM
It can never be said too often, but the prevalence of malware on the Internet, especially malware targeting Bitcoin and other financial software, makes it extra important today: you can never be too careful when sending Bitcoin transactions. A Reddit user today lost 13BTC, or around $36,000, when he pasted an address from his clipboard that was not the appropriate address.

I copy pasted BTC address into electrum and confirmed the bitcoin transaction. the clipboard replaced my bitcoin intendet bitcoin address with a different one. few minutes later i discuss with friend if he already sees it in his wallet. he didnt. It sent to wrong address

This is a trivially done malware attack. Access to the clipboard is a basic functionality for user level applications, so mostly anything can see what is there. All the malware in question has to do is remain undetected and, when it notices a Bitcoin address on the clipboard, replace it with one. More advanced developers can have it actively try to swap the address with a similar-looking one. This malware can be contracted by any operating system, although for obvious reasons most renditions are probably authored for Windows. Its actual effects are avoidable by double-checking before sending. It’s helpful to highlight the first, middle, and last 3-5 characters of a transaction when doing this.

The 30 extra seconds (maximum) it would have taken for Reddit user ask_for_pgp would have saved him and his friend over $30,000.

The above recommendation goes in addition to always password-securing your Bitcoin wallet. Then it will ask for permission before sending, giving you another chance to look. Simply running a virus scan won’t save you, because new versions can be written and distributed before the virus definitions are updated, and you’re already copying the attacker’s addresses by that point.

It is so sad to read such news, lose such a nice amount of money because you not protected your PC with some basic protection like antivirus&firewall.I think this is happening on a much larger scale but many users just not report this to public.I agree that antivirus&firewall can not always protect you,but some common sense should always be present when we sending BTC.

I see this attack on some faucets, when open faucet there is already address in box and many inexperienced users claim coins for for the attackers-this is not such big problem like mentioned above, but some people will always find a way to steal from others.
15064  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Could the upcoming Btc fork cause a panic sell? on: June 09, 2017, 01:04:30 PM
Hello I wanted to share some thoughts that really have been on my mind for weeks now since I know about the upcoming fork. So imagine you are sitting on a lot of bitcoins right now and they might be worth a lot less with the upcoming fork and the confusion coming with it. Would you sell most of them or hodl? So if people who are holding a lot  of btc selling we all know the price goes down and usually gets bought back up. But! In the last weeks before the fork where is the point of buying something that expensive when big changes coming up and it's kind of not clear what will happen. So Imagine the big guys selling to save some of they're wealth I would say. So the price  crashes and news about the fork spreading. Might be a situation where you have a lot of sellers but no buyers right? Then you will have those bitcoin crashed news which we had plenty of times in the past again but at the same time people can say bitcoin crashed and maybe will split. My question is how could that not only affect the btc price but also the altcoins prices and the trust in crypto itself when the biggest of them seems to be " in trouble" and a lot of people might lose money? And what I'm also thinking about is could some companies even delist btc as payment option until it's clear what will happen and how will that affect the image of btc? Let me know what you're thinking about that.

Panic sell can happen every moment triggered by some bad news or caused by some whales dump big ammount of coins on market.Hard fork and all what is related to it can certainly cause panic sell, people want to make profit with BTC,and if they see some sign that value of their coins can go down because of hard fork they will sell.Hard fork and split of blockchain, two version of BTC can certainly cause a real mess and panic sell.

Just a few days ago we could witness how bitcoin lost about 1000$ on value in very short time.In case of hard fork we would see a much greater loss of value.

Please add my faucet to your list www.freebtcworld.com

Your faucet was already on my list and I just visit them and get message that my IP is banned,it show some IP address in that message but it is not my IP.I think you have some problem in your script and you need to fix that.

I get many questions about Unknown Error message on some faucets-this is because of service NastyHost which is not working currently, and some faucet owners use that service for anti-bot protection.Unfortunately, this service stop working from time to time and only thing you get then on some faucets is that error.

I will add info on every faucet I know that use NastyHost so we can save some time as long as the problem is not resolved.
15066  Economy / Services / Re: Earn 40$ for this job on: June 07, 2017, 01:43:40 PM
There is no current update about this job from the op, he should be able to tell the thread follower whether there is more open slot or not.

I am interested in getting this job also, you may lock the thread if the job is no longer available.

I doubt that we can see any reply or update from OP,maybe he is done job with somebody through PM or this is just another thread which has the purpose to serve for signature spamming.I see this many time here and it is very simple way to make some money-usually newbie open thread like this and then with his alt accounts joined to some signature campaing start to spam with useless one line post.
15067  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: BitCoin for Retirement on: June 06, 2017, 04:57:07 PM
I am living in a still-considered as a third world country which kinda suit me because the standard of living here is still low and we can easily afford all the necessities of life and even some luxuries here and there. Money here goes a long, long way at least compared to developed countries like USA or Japan for that matter.

It is then good to retire here most especially if you have the money in your purse. Now, I am planning to set aide even just 1 Bitcoin as part of my retirement plan...of course it is just part of the mix as I am also into cacao/mango/coconut farming which can also serve me well when I am retired.

Do you think 1 Bitcoin can be good for retirement...let's say 20 years from now?

There is nothing wrong in your thinking,if you can afford it to buy 1 BTC and keep it safe in the next twenty years you may get some nice addition to your retirement plan. But as you know, there is always a risk that after twenty years that 1 BTC can be worth less than today or it may not have any value at all.

But if BTC succeed and become widely accepted cryptocurrency that 1 BTC might be worth a small fortune one day.

Hey, check out this faucet and add it to your rotator if possible please Smiley

http://bitdesire.it - direct FaucetHub payment, up to 5000 sat every 40 mins

It has a cool design and many features, including lottery system and bonuses,
Thanks.

Hello, you have nice faucet with good rewards-chance to win 5000 satoshi is 2% and for 1000 satoshi 3%.With lottery and bonuses you have good chance to attract users on your site.Maybe min reward is not so attractive in combination with timer, but if you get more traffic+income you can do something regarding that.Good luck with your faucet Smiley

Nice site, but you should disable all Faucets paying to ePay, since they stopped to withdraw weeks ago.

I think that I remove all ePay faucets from my list, maybe there is some with option to pay on FH/ePay but I will check again and remove if there were some others behind.Thank you for your comment Smiley

Congratulations! You have one of the best well designed rotators. Very easy to use, clear even for newbies, very good list of faucets. all the info is there so one can choose what faucet visit without have to wait guessing witch one gonna be the nest faucet. Load very fast and as a plus have no pop ups disturbing. I use it every time I  am fauceting it makes more easy and faster. Thanks a lot for your rotator

Thank You for your support and I hope you continue to use my site in future Smiley

Regarding rotator,I will remove them from my site for now because it not work with SSL and many faucets just not work in rotator these days.It is much better to claim from list where you can see all info and use timer countdown.

I added new coins BlackCoin&PeerCoin which have been recently added to FaucetHub.Many ask about their wallet, and maybe the best thing to do is open account on some exchange and use deposit address for that coins-I can recommend Poloniex for that.

All questions and suggestions are welcome Smiley
15070  Economy / Micro Earnings / Re: VirtualPub.io - Run your own pub/bar, serve drinks, earn bitcoin! on: June 02, 2017, 03:37:20 PM
hi
since i use this site
i have problem with recaptcha, 9/10 failed to verify captcha, reason: Unexpected error
and now its bug on all site using recaptcha
i cant solve recaptcha with car, road sign
only those with front store, bus and mountain
its very weird

anyone would know how to fix it?

I have this "problem" in last few months, need to solve reCaptcha multiple times to get it solved.I know that some have same problem, others say reCaptcha is normal to them.Reason can be in that Google set a different captcha difficulty for some countries or some ISP.But on VP is SolveMedia captcha and I suggest to all faucet owners to change to that option or give user a choice what captcha to use.

You probably have problem with short links captcha, better to write to them-maybe they can change to SolveMedia.
15071  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: BREAKING NEWS: BTC Now Available To British Investors on: June 02, 2017, 10:11:01 AM
Thats good news to everyone. Thankd for this op. Maybe the price of bitcoin will increase @ $5000 each bitcpin before this year. My preditcion before the price will be around @ 3000-4000 dollars but after I see this threadmy prediction will be $5000. I think this is big impact to the price of bitcoin is now available to british everyone will benefits . I hope many good news will come soon and many investor also invest to bitcoin.

Such news are excellent for BTC,we need more of them every day to get more people involved which will certainly have a positive impact on the price. But it should definitely be taken into consideration that something need to be done with block size and the possibility of fork and split of blockchain.
If something like that happens no one should expect a rise in price, just the opposite.

However, I hope for some positive outcome regarding block size problem and that we see more good news for BTC
15072  Economy / Micro Earnings / Re: FaucetSystem.com | FaucetBOX alternative | 🔥 on: May 31, 2017, 02:55:41 PM
Hi!
Did you send a request for money transfer before? From one address to another?

If you answer to my post then answer is no,but I see my payment is sent now-coincidence or not it is good to see that is working Smiley

Regarding treshold,I try again to sign message and set treshold but there is no message in box like it was before,so it is impossible to do it now.Do you disable that option or there is some current issue with that?

15073  Economy / Micro Earnings / Re: FaucetSystem.com | FaucetBOX alternative | 🔥 on: May 31, 2017, 10:18:53 AM
Does anybody have problems with payments from FaucetSystem?I set treshold long time ago and sign my BTC address and before few days reach that treshold so I check and see that treshold is changed to 500 000 satoshi.I send e-mail to support but so far no answer, and considering situation with ePay I hope FS will not go the same way.
15074  Economy / Micro Earnings / Re: 🔥Game Of Bitcoins🔥BTC✪DOGE✪LTC✪DASH🔥Best Faucets🔥New Design&SSL🔥 on: May 29, 2017, 12:51:40 PM
Hello,I recently added SSL("Secure Sockets Layer is a standard security technology for establishing an encrypted link between a server and a client—typically a web server (website) and a browser, or a mail server and a mail client") so from now you can use my site with much more security.

https://www.digicert.com/ssl/

Regarding situation with ePay,I will remove all ePay faucets from my list/rotator(most of BTC faucets removed) because there is no any indication that ePay have intention to pay users.I also have 4 pending withdraws and I do not expect positive outcome, but we need to wait some time and see what will happen. In the meantime I advise all to stop using ePay and to faucet owners to swich to FaucetHub&FaucetSystem microwallet.

Claim from best faucets-daily checked&updated-now with SSL- https://gameofbitcoins.com

15075  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Buy 1 Bitcoin on: May 28, 2017, 11:28:42 AM
Buy 1 Bitcoin

"Owning even 1 bitcoin will put you in the top 1% financially within the next 30 years."

- Travis Patron

For young people who can buy 1 BTC and wait 30 years this is nice investment, risky but may bring a nice profit as supplementary pension. On the other side to predict what will happen in next 30 years is impossible,it is hard to say what will happens in next few months.

Can someone enrich one day just by the fact that he is the owner of 1 BTC?Depends on how you look on things, for someone price of 10 000$ would be a fortune, for some others even 100 000$ per 1 BTC is not enough.
15076  Economy / Speculation / Re: Price going below 2k$ on: May 27, 2017, 10:31:11 AM
Drop of 400$ in just two days and it will probably go below 2k$, is that China dumping or something else? Will it cause the mass selling and buying once the bitcoin drops as low as it will? Or will the acceptance of bitcoin in Australia of 1st July recover the price as it was a few days ago?

Bitcoin is in a free fall, just checked and see that price is down on all exchanges, red everywhere.Once again we can see that in cryptocurrency world nothing is impossible, from 2700$ to 1700$ in just 24-48 hours. Now we can speculate who is dumping-taking profit again,I do not think this is too important.Maybe is China back in the game or maybe someone decided to buy a new home and a luxury car Smiley

I use normal fee but not confirmed. I use ViaBTC too but still same.

Maybe you use ViaBTC but do you get message that Acceleration succeeded after you submited your txid? They accept only 100 request every hour and it is very hard to get in.

I submitted your txid and get Acceleration succeeded so be patient and your transaction will be confirmed soon Wink
15078  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: 7 years ago... you could have earned almost $15,000 at today's value in 3 sec... on: May 26, 2017, 09:42:11 AM
Around 2 years ago or so, it wasn't that hard to get around 0.01 or 0.02 BTC per day from using multiple faucets and getting paid through Faucetbox (RIP).
People would still say they weren't really worth the effort, well at the time it wasn't, but with these prices you would have a really nice amount if you just saved it.

I wonder if todays faucet claims could be worth a lot in another few years? Are faucets still a thing now with these high fees?

People are always saying that faucets are waste of time and they say same thing today, but they do not take into consideration that value of coins can be changed in the future. In time when BTC price was around 200-250$ we can make nice amount of satoshi every day,and today they are worth ten times more, not bad for 2 year time.

There is time when faucets pay 5 BTC,today is in the range from 10 to 100 satoshi, and with price increase rewards will go even less.Regarding fees, there is few microwallets like FaucetBox where we can accumulate coins and withdraw at desired treshold.

Rich people always want more and never have enough,so if they see opportunity to make profit with BTC they will invest money and become even richer. Some of them probably invested before, others will be attract by this price increase and they will invest, which will certainly push the price up even more.

For most people even this price is too high for invest and buy BTC,but for rich people is not, so with time BTC could become so expensive that only rich people will have power to buy 1 BTC or more.Of course others can also buy,but only small parts. Can bitcoin become asset of the rich one day?
