This rally is pointless, if we hit 19 again we'll just get another smack down.
Don't be too sure. If this continues beyond $19, bears will be wary to dump in large amount lest they may fall into bear trap. profit is hard to ignore. bulls will turn bear once they see 19$ simply cannot be broken. just wait and see we are headed trowed 19 again...

On what basis do you conclude that? My take is that Bitcoin is still undervalued* and that the only reason we had the shakeout is because enough people believe growth that fast shouldn't be sustainable. If it really is as undervalued as I believe then the an increase in price closer to a realistic evaluation is only waiting on enough people realising how undervalued it still is. Sometimes such things are easier for people on the outside to see than those who may be over-familiar with previous patterns. Given that so many here are not comfortable with fast growth and may be looking at things from the perspective of their purchase price it is not surprising every now and again that we have a good shake out. However there are as far as I can see and as far as others have pointed out quite eloquently, plenty of fundamentals pointing to an exponential growth (at least for some time) which eventually, despite the pressure of those refusing to believe it, is bound to be reflected in the shape of the growth chart. * This whole post is based on the undervalued assumption which is the assumption upon which my trading decisions are made. This is not to say that I deny I may be wrong. It's not what I'm arguing. What I'm questioning is why others who are bullish in the bigger picture are seeing an unlikelihood of buying pressure continuing after the weekend? Speculation is the main factor driving the price, so bitcoin will always be overvalued. If bitcoin was worth 17$ due to supply and demand, speculation would drive the price in the 100's.

There's no way you really fooled yourself into thinking this. Are you caught out short? Cut your losses man. my losses are minimal... all thanks to paper wallets, and having BTC funds dispersed everywhere, i was only able to panic sell 10BTC ![Cheesy](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/cheesy.gif) but I'm confident in my trade down trend goes down ![Wink](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/wink.gif)

Bruce Wagner has a criminal record for some scam he was a part of. ( not bitcoin related, this is years ago ) Bruce Wagner was host of the bitcoin show he told everyone to put their bitcoins in mybitcoin.com mybitcoin.com leaves with everyone's funds including Bruce Wagner's I post a bounty for mybitcoin's owner to be found and put to justice, people commit bitcoins left and right to this bounty. mybitcoin comes back and refunds everyone half their bitcoins. Bruce Wagner appears to be really high on cocaine when making his bitcoin videos (must of hit the silk road...)
there's not much more to tell.

I mean peer-to-peer system like in BitTorrent and Bitcoin. If we could have an exchange connected to the conventional banking system build on a decentralised infrastructure it would be impossible to shutdown.
I think I'm getting you here - and if I have and this is new might it be more appropriate to have a new thread somewhere like projects to discuss this? So are we talking about an open source p2p system with something like a distributed blockchain whereby I download the client that uses something like UseMyFunds to log into my bank account. If I'm selling my fiat the client verifies I have the funds available and places the order on the p2p exchange. Likewise if selling Bitcoin I give an address that the client verifies with the Bitcoin blockchain. The client displays the orderbook with everybody's orders as if it were a private central-server-based exchange service and transfers Bitcoin and fiat between accounts and addresses when a transaction is made. It would require a substantial amount of trust but I sort-of see that as potentially working. p2p exchange that requires no trust, might be possible for BTC/LTC or any other crypto currency and their is SOME chance of making it work with fiat using the Mint Chip. but please move this nonsense into another thread, some of us have some serious trolling to do if we are to bring down the price using only words ![Grin](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/grin.gif)

dump alert! ![Cheesy](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/cheesy.gif) huh? What Adam is trying to convey is that he is about to start dumping random pictures of bulls and bears in his thread again. Bull or bear depends on which way the wind is blowing in Canada today. ok fine I'll stop posting alerts, your on your own, now be a good little bull and buy. I don't trade, I'm only here for the LoLz. ![Wink](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/wink.gif) me too, i just like being right, and being a hotdog about it. ![](https://ip.bitcointalk.org/?u=https%3A%2F%2Ftwimg0-a.akamaihd.net%2Fprofile_images%2F3026648560%2F0a0630752ccbe045d9fa7e2443f1ae04.jpeg&t=663&c=LCO3nMSVJk7PcA)

After the $30 peak, it took some time before people realised that it had become a bear market.
Exactly. It'll take a while, but eventually I think we're likely to get into the $10 area, and probably lower. I've got all the time in the world. proudhon, tell us at what price you'll actually buy and become a bull. b/c you've been a bear all the way down to $2 and now all the way up to $19 and back down to where we are now. when, oh when? he's probably thinking something very bad will happen at one point ( Governments start poking around ) and price will suffer gr8ly. anything can happen.... <1$ bitcoins is not imposable, to think nothing bad will ever happen is just plain stupid, its just getting started... the currency wars are going to get real ugly, real soon.
