I'd love an opportunity to review a unit or organize a trusted group buy.

Pics? Escrow?
15163  Economy / Collectibles / Re: [WTS] 2oz .999 Silver NastyFans Minted Seats on: January 06, 2016, 03:49:39 AM
I am open to suggestions on a beginning vanity address for the gold highlighted coins.  Maybe a single letter so I have enough outcomes to be sequential like 1nastyG_ (G for gold)?
15164  Economy / Securities / Re: HAPPY NEW YEAR - 2015 IS IN THE BOOKS on: January 06, 2016, 03:44:40 AM
I keep up on the latest info with Nasty Mining/Fan Club/Pool using the iOS app.  Since this has everything I need, I never thought to log into the nastyfans site which put me in a probation status.  Is it possible to "log in" to the iOS app only once and have it it ping the nastyfans site each time I use the app?

You can log in through the app, but you have to enter your username/password information each time.  I lack the skills necessary to add that feature to the iOS app, or I would.  There is a pesky bug that has halted development due to the latest version of iOS, which broke the Bitcoin price in the Today View.  Angry
15165  Economy / Collectibles / Re: [WTS] 2oz .999 Silver NastyFans Minted Seats on: January 06, 2016, 03:40:50 AM
Will there be a way on the JSON API that shows the coin has the gold plating? Casascius used to incorporate it in the addresses by adding Au or Ag in the vanity address. It could add value and rarity to the preorder coins.

I'll definitely make it known publicly which addresses are the gold highlighted coins.  I wanted to get 1nastyAu_ addresses for all of the gold highlighted coins, but it is taking much longer than expected.  That may not be an option.  I've been generating 1nasty addresses for several months now, so hopefully I have some good backup options.
15166  Economy / Computer hardware / [WTB] Antminer S5 Units on: January 05, 2016, 08:43:37 PM
I'm looking to buy a couple Antminer S5 units from trusted members of the community.  US sellers only.  I will provide the shipping labels.  Looking to pay 0.55 BTC per unit.  Willing to pay a little more if your reputation is great.  Payment upon receipt of a fully functioning unit.  Send me a PM.
15167  Economy / Goods / Re: Prevention is better than a cure. Please escrow. on: January 05, 2016, 05:44:46 PM
ALWAYS MAKE SURE THE ADDRESS YOU ARE SENDING BTC TO BELONGS TO THE ESCROW AGENT.  NEVER TRUST ANY ADDRESS SENT TO YOU BY ANYONE EXCEPT A TRUSTED ESCROW AGENT.  SCAMMERS WILL USE SIMILAR NAMES, DOCTOR QUOTES, AND CREATE SIMILAR BTC ADDRESSES IN ATTEMPTS TO SCAM.  BE CAREFUL!
15168  Economy / Services / Re: LEGENDARY MEMBER Offering TRUSTED ESCROW services on: January 05, 2016, 05:42:47 PM
DO NOT SEND BTC TO ANY ADDRESS EXCEPT THIS ONE:
168WXhArv7Fasqvi2xm5MQMfLhG18jifMe

IMPERSONATORS WILL DOCTOR MY QUOTES, IMPERSONATE ME WITH SIMILAR NAMES, GIVE FAKE BTC ADDRESSES, DIRECT YOU TO 3RD PARTY SITES, AND WILL USE INFORMATION IN YOUR WTB THREADS AGAINST YOU.  DO NOT SEND BTC ANYWHERE BUT THE ADDRESS ABOVE!
15169  Economy / Collectibles / Re: [WTS] 2oz .999 Silver NastyFans Minted Seats on: January 05, 2016, 05:38:18 PM
I thought I would be showing pictures today, but there has been another delay.  The mint accidentally gold highlighted all of the coins.  I considered accepting them, but I don't think that would be right.  The mint will now have to melt down all of the highlighted coins and re-stamp them again.  This shouldn't take that long.  Hopefully 3rd time is the charm and I have them in hand next week.

One of my favorite silver coins also.

I'm trying to buy 4-6 of these for $100 each but it's proving to be a difficult task.

EDIT: No response from seller.  Be cautious attempting to buy and always use a trusted escrow...
15173  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Bitcointalk Escrows - Trade Safely! on: January 02, 2016, 10:44:17 PM
Question...

Are marcotheminer & devthedev the same person?

If one of them could answer this with a yes or no I would appreciate it.  Thanks.
15174  Economy / Securities / HAPPY NEW YEAR - 2015 IS IN THE BOOKS on: December 31, 2015, 11:58:56 PM
NASTYFANS PERFORMANCE:
Going by average quarterly statistics, the NastyFans seat price saw a 127% annual increase in 2015 while distributing 0.00154 BTC per seat for a current annual distribution rate of 5.3%.  Over the last year, 2,059 NastyFans seats have been traded for a total of 33.8 BTC.  This represents an 11% increase in BTC volume and a 106% increase in seat volume from the 1,000 seats traded for 30.45 BTC in 2014.  You can see a complete spreadsheet of the historical performance of this project here.

NASTYMINING GROWTH:
NastyMining is finishing the year with 485MH/s per NastyFans seat.  This represents a 230% annual growth in hashrate.  I have also shipped the defective s7 hashboards to Bitmain and expect that we will receive an additional 3.1TH/s once those parts are processed and replaced.

SILVER COIN SALES:
Two years ago we started selling Minted Seats made out of silver.  In the last two years we have sold 200 1oz coins and 40 5oz coins.  That is a total of 400oz sold.  Once the next batch of silver Minted Seats arrive and the pre-sales are distributed, there will be a remaining total of 1,005oz of silver held in inventory.

2OZ SILVER MINTED SEATS:
The 2oz silver Minted Seats are expected to arrive within the next week.  40 of these coins have already been sold, including the 25 limited edition gold highlighted versions.

2OZ GOLD MINTED SEATS:
I have announced a 2oz .9999 gold 50seat coin.  Only 10 of these coins will be minted.  2 of them have already been spoken for, with the remaining 8 still available for purchase.  This is expected to generate a $5,000 donation for NastyFans.

PROBATION REMINDER:
There are currently 3,171 seats on probation because their owners have not logged in at nastyfans.org.  Please take a moment to log into your account and make sure your information is up to date.  Thanks!

I would be interested in hearing who you trust on the forums...

I have chosen to trust theymos and nonnakip.
IMO They wouldn't offer escrow service. The admins could implement some strict practice to ensure the escrow process to be secure, like ID check, transaction history check etc and recommend the escrow for us.
I aint doing any trade here till the admins really start implementing some vigrous rules.
it wont happen. if the admins were to verify an escrow providers identity and let officially let them offer services on the forum, thats more or less equivalent to the forum vouching or staking their rep or whatever on that escrow provider. should something go wrong, the blame for whatever damage is caused can come back to the forum and its admins for more or less backing the escrow provider by recommending that user as a trustable figure.

In short it is also not the forum responsibility to prevent escrow scams like this in the future again so there is no point in verifying all of this verification because afterall we are all just strangers in the internet so as the old saying goes ' never trust a stranger '

theymos has verified my personal information...

15177  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: ANTMINER S7 is available at bitmaintech.com with 4.86TH/s, 0.25J/GH on: December 30, 2015, 06:42:16 PM
Yeah... Thread title needs to be updated. S7 is no longer 4.86TH/s or 0.25J/GH.

Should read:

ANTMINER S7 is available at bitmaintech.com with 4.73TH/s, 0.30J/GH

Since bitcointalk is not accessible from mainland China due to the GFW, could a mod update the title? I'm sure bitmain would in the pursuit of honesty, but they simply can't due to circumstances.   Smiley

The last two I bought arrived with 1 dead board each.  Maybe the title should read 3.1TH/s, 0.3J/GH?   Cheesy
15178  Economy / Services / Re: Master-P's FREE Escrow Service | IPO/ICO/Sig Campaign 1% | Acc Trades 0.005 fee on: December 30, 2015, 06:33:05 PM
Honestly i trusted him before 100% as an escrow because of lots of positive trusted.

I keep seeing people saying how much they trusted master-p.  I have to ask...  Why?  What is it you found when doing due diligence on him that made you think he could be trusted?  Has he created anything?  Is there some project he's been running for the community?  Has he paid back owed debts before when things have gone bad?  Has he displayed a higher level of knowledge about Bitcoin?  Looking at his trust history, prior to becoming an escrow the trust he received was for very small deals involving digital products.  Even by member rank which is the most crude of trust tools the guy is only a hero.  What did he do to earn your trust?

Once again, the problem here isn't escrows or the trust system.  It's users blindly following others off a cliff.  The same thing that has decimated the Bitcoin securities market.  Please people, at least make an effort to determine if someone is trustworthy before sending them your BTC.

I see as a result of this scam, some users are now trying to push a mult-sig escrow network.  While at first this appears to resemble a good idea, I believe this guise of security is only another trap that will lure users into escrows with trusted names, only to have 2 of the "trusted escrows" steal everyone's funds.  Please do not fall for this.  All you need to do is look at my escrow thread, or the dozens of PMs from random alts that I've gotten on the subject over the last couple months to see that there is a real push for multi-sig escrows by users who are trying to bait trusted escrows into providing a more secure service only to rip everyone off.  Let this be the warning.
15179  Economy / Securities / Re: [NastyFans.org] NASTY MINING | POOL | COINS on: December 29, 2015, 11:11:11 PM
Sorry if it has been posted before, but I'd like to ask if the 25% donated to nasty mining is solely for new hardware, or is the electricity in there as well. If the electricity is not included, where does that come from?

The electricity is donated by whoever is operating the equipment.  You can see anyone donating hashes on the NastyPool miners page.  They are easily identified by the following text below their username, "donating to nastyfans as..."  Anyone can donate hashes by mining on NastyPool with their username instead of a Bitcoin address.  Currently NastyMining, Squirrel_Dearing, & punkboy15 are the only donators.

Dear Brandon Lu / XY Jiang (aka "friedcat"),

As of Dec. 29th, 2015 (today), your records should show that I have 450 shares of ASICMINER associated with the shareholder address: 1PYMwZt98TfTj8hWYKaEHUmubALqPC1Kgq

I am writing to let you know that I am permanently surrendering and relinquishing all rights to these 450 shares and, furthermore, that I have not received any payment or other consideration for them (i.e., they have not been sold or traded to anyone else).

You may update your records accordingly.

chriswilmer

P.S. With apologies to "dhenson" -- trust me, if ASICMINER makes a roaring comeback, I'll be more upset about this than you Smiley

For this message to carry any meaning whatsoever, it would need to be signed by the address mentioned above.
