1521  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Has anyone used ChipMixer? on: June 16, 2017, 05:01:45 AM
There was an alpha test from ChipMixer some time ago before their public release.

Most of the users have sent the review by PM to the admin of the website, but you can check it out the thread for some quick reviews: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1923170.0

Just a quick vouch for this thread:
- i sent the OP a PM applying for the beta tester position
- the next day, the OP replied to my PM, giving me the beta tester position
- i have tested out the OP's service
- i got the promised bounty plus a rather big tip  Smiley

As for the OP's service:
- i can vouch that he has a hidden service that is setup as a mixer
- i have tested his mixer, and everything seems to be set up properly. I have provided the OP with some feedback, and i can only assume the other testers did the same. There might be room for some little improvements to his service, but even at this moment, i think his service would be completely functional if he decided to open his doors for business right away
- i can vouch that i have never seen his mixing idear, and i must say that i think it's an innovative idear.

Due to the fact that he's running a mixer, thus provides privacy, i won't post the withdrawal txid's in public, but in case a member with sufficient trust is interested, i can provide the txid's over PM
Thanks for the reply, I read the replies on the alpha test and it seems everything went fine, now I’m reading their ANN thread.
1522  Economy / Service Discussion / Has anyone used ChipMixer? on: June 15, 2017, 05:53:23 AM
A few weeks ago a new mixer emerged Chipmixer, with new features, so my question for those that have used other mixers, like bitmixer, how does it compare? Is it faster? Is it cheaper? Does perform as advertised?

Share your experiences.

Your guess?
Things will not be as immediate as we have now but some things will be better, with things like smart phones it is almost impossible to have a conversation with anyone with suffering interruption after interruption.
1524  Other / Off-topic / Re: how bitcoin is popular in your country ? on: June 10, 2017, 02:45:45 AM
Bitcoin is almost non existent in my country no one talks about it, I have tried to inform my friends and family about bitcoin but they do not listen at all and it seems they are going to miss getting into bitcoin.
1525  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Hello. New here. on: June 10, 2017, 02:38:38 AM
So I got ito BTC around jan 2012.

I unfortunately lost all my coins in a HDD failure.

I then got into altcoins and ran with that for a year. I stopped it all together and completely forgot about coins until this resurgence.
Is this a continued rally for behind the scenes works soon to be unveiled?

If possible do everything you can to recover the data in that hardrive since you could have a fortune in there, at the moment all the markets have gone up for some time, so I do not know if it is a good time to buy any altcoin at the moment
1526  Other / Off-topic / Re: What's your favourite country? on: June 03, 2017, 02:53:19 AM
My favorite country is japan, unique culture and history since it was isolated from the outside world for so long and when it comes to the current era, manga, anime and video games reign supreme in my opinion.
1527  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Prophecy 101: Bitcoin is flypaper and you are the fly. on: June 03, 2017, 02:44:45 AM
Even if all of what you said is true, and there is no way it is, there are alternatives to everything, use Linux, Linux is audited and there are many people looking for bugs and possible backdoors, it is as secure as it is going to be, don’t use Google or Google products, instead of Google use duckduckgo or other search engines, don’t use gmail, pay for your own email with allows PGP, don’t use Google chrome, use Firefox.
1528  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: Windows or Linux for Wallet Software? on: June 03, 2017, 02:38:33 AM
Using a terminal may be easier than you think, especially in Linux. Get comfortable in it and you'll quickly learn how powerful it is.I'd recommend using Linux for your case. Even if you dislike the terminal and want to stick to GUI, that's no problem too in Linux. In general, a Linux OS is much more stable and reliable than Windows, there's no sketchy background processes and no automatic updates. Give it a shot Wink
This is true, but I have noticed that Linux has problems running in some laptops and weird bugs appear so if the laptop is compatible I will recommend Linux but if it is not then I will recommended windows instead.
1529  Other / Politics & Society / Re: What could be the assumption if scientist cant explain some issues on: May 28, 2017, 04:54:17 AM
I was just wondering they say that science are perfect. How come that they cant give a pure answers to some issues to like why do people dream? They say that it is on the psychological effect but it is not certain

Why is that there are left handed persons? Any thoughts about this?
You have a mistaken idea of what science is, a true scientist that cannot explain something will say “I don’t know” because he does not, but will try to find ways to explain it since that is the best way to make science progress but what it happens is there are some stuff that is incredibly difficult to explain, just look at the human brain until recently probably 20 to 30 years our knowledge was very limited but now  it has improved but we are nowhere near to explain it completely.
1530  Economy / Economics / Re: How to teach kids about Bitcoin? on: May 28, 2017, 04:44:54 AM
There is not much of a point to try to teach the kids about bitcoin, they have no use for that information and also if you try to force it to them then they may begin to resent you and to resent bitcoin as well.
1531  Other / Politics & Society / Re: OBAMA was the best President in the world on: May 28, 2017, 04:28:39 AM
Barack Obama is the best President in the world because he combines both intelligence, strength,Characters and charisma that held world leaders spellbound and in awe of him through his 8 years in the white house. He is easy going, passionate, articulate and highly diplomatic on issues with global ramifications. He clearly demonstrates what it means and takes to be a leader of the free world, opting for dialogue and diplomacy over force and threats of Bombs. Obama is a classical example of a global other that goes beyond the war narrative. Pulling the US out of the recession hole dug by BUSH and reviving an economy that was on a free  fall shows strength, and leadership  that is unrivalled. Who do you think is the best world president ?
Assuming you are correct, and that is a big assumption , then I can only think how bad the rest of the presidents of the world were.
1532  Other / Off-topic / Re: Why I want a time machine ... on: May 28, 2017, 04:20:27 AM
You people are so far off base...

The earth is revolving around the sun. The whole solar system is moving through space. Exactly 1 minute ago, what was exactly where you are standing or sitting right now? Nothing. It was empty space. It was filled momentarily by the earth. Then the earth moved on, and at a very rapid pace, I might add.

If you go back in time, or ahead in time, to exactly the spot you are standing on now, nobody knows what you will find... because everything moves around in space. Since space is mostly empty, you probably will find nothing.

The thing you need along with your time machine, or in place of it, is a temporal adjuster (not JAVA). This is a thing that can move you to any place that the time machine can find a time for. This way you won't wind up in the airlessness of space, which is what most of the universe is made out of, and which almost certainly would destroy your time machine, and your life.

Cool
This is why the most intelligent thing to do is to have the time machine to be inside a spaceship or the time machine could be the space ship itself.
1533  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Unconfirmed transactions for 3 days now on: May 28, 2017, 04:08:25 AM
I sent 4 transactions in a row, since the first one won't confirm, the others won't either : transactions finally confirmed after 74 hours.

Before that I sent several transactions without trouble, even with a much lower fee.

I know that the fee I used is too low, I'm looking for solutions.

I hold to my coins, so I had not run my client for months. I have Bitcoin core but 3 years late in sync, and MultiBit Classic. I chose that one, I first upgraded it to the latest version, but clearly, the fee calculation is wrong. I put the max fee on that client, which was 0.0005 BTC.

I've been letting Core (latest version) synchronize for several days now, I'm 1 year and 12 weeks behind, still.

Once Core is synchronized, will I be able to cancel a transaction made with MBC ?

Can someone offer help to get these transactions confirmed ?

I must say I'm very disappointed in Bitcoin right now. My banks are much more efficient, and SEPA transfers are free.
If you want a faster confirmation then you need more than 0.0005 at the moment so I think it is a better idea for you to move your coins to another wallet.
1534  Economy / Economics / Re: Worst bitcoin decision you've ever made? on: May 21, 2017, 04:14:47 AM
My biggest regret was spending  the bitcoin I had bought, I used it for something I needed but looking back I would have been better using fiat instead of trying to use bitcoin for that transaction.
1535  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin as a source of income? on: May 21, 2017, 03:38:17 AM
Today many people rely on bitcoin, in the sense that they are now focusing on the world of cryptocurrency, leaving their jobs

Is there something like this, is there any special tips because i want to focus but not yet dare?

If you are young my best advice is that you try both, keep your job and try to make some additional money with bitcoin that way you get the best of both worlds.

1537  Economy / Exchanges / Re: From Kraken to Nano S ledger. on: May 21, 2017, 03:16:18 AM
Hey guys;
Can't find any info on how to transfer bitcoins & altcoins from my Kraken account to a Nano S ledger.
Thank for your time and help.

Ced

If you have not made a transaction before I recommend that you transfer a small amount of money before sending all your funds that way if you do a mistake you will only lose a small amount of money.
