1521  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How to be a good bitcoin investor to prevent scammed on: March 29, 2017, 08:25:33 AM
When we are not being greedy, I believe we can stay safer without getting scammed.
Only due to greedy, people are looking for high yielding investment opportunities and finally getting scammed.
Yes, people who are greedy are getting scammed very quickly compared to rest of people. When we are rushing for making money in quick time, we are all getting scammed so quickly. We must control our emotions by remember the fact of easy money is always work as a bait for a big trouble. For investments, we never try to find options so quickly. We need to study them very carefully before making any decisions.
Instead of taking risk with some unknown entities, why not we just trust only bitcoin kind of decentralized opportunities. Because, we can do nothing about the investment opportunities which are derailing in middle. Like you said, studying them carefully about their past performances will not help you to guess what is waiting for you in future. Being simply bitcoin holder is much better option rather thane being a struggling bitcoin investors.
1522  Economy / Speculation / Re: Your Bitcoin Assets on: March 29, 2017, 07:39:06 AM
I guess it would be too hard to find true bitcoin lovers like God. Honestly I am not disturbing my current bitcoin holding, even prices will go down to $800 levels, I will keep it in same cold storage. I guess Mr. Namamotto will do the same (I learned this after some frustrating selling buying in volatile markets ). I am not going to listen any speculations nor sure-shot recommendations. Probably I will buy more if I get chances to buy cheaper.

I guess every altcoins will get dumped very soon as there will no backing for them except few new business are not deciding to accept them (still one or two coins get that level of reorganizations), others will face the consequences of dumping/profit booking.

The rise of altcoins would have made the dev of bitcoin ecosystem to find one reasonable solution for bitcoin scalabilty issue. Other than this, I guess there is no in sight problems for bitcoin is existing. Hopefully bitcoin will come out of this hurdle too like what it has done by earlier 2015 after mtcox collapse.
1523  Economy / Speculation / Re: for the first time ever, i'm hedging part of my long term position with altcoins on: March 29, 2017, 04:45:10 AM
I hope Bitcoin prevails but I am no longer comfortable keeping all my
eggs in one basket.
But I am afraid you may face your eggs broken in the new basket. The rally of leading altcoins seemed phased just before falling back. So close watching is highly suggested.

Today I read another group of people tried for bitcoin ETF and got the same consequences what Winklevokoss faced. I guess some people by "somewhat " will make bitcoin ETF into reality in very near future. I feel just holding bitcoin is more safer for me.
1524  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: About radium coin on: March 28, 2017, 07:43:40 PM
Hi,

anyone here holding / supporting radium coin (http://coinmarketcap.com/currencies/radium/) ? would appreciate appreciation and criticism about the coin, and what do you think / suggest about the future of this coin ??
There are a lot of people believing the upcoming projects and plans for radium by the dev team will raise the price of radium but I believe there are a lot of holders out there who will take advantage of the new raise of price and sell which will cause the price to not skyrocket, maybe not even go too high to care.

There needs to be a raise in the price that will surpass the amount of holders coins to even make a dent in the exchange markets.
1525  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Could Bitcoin be replaced, at least temporarily, by Ether? on: March 28, 2017, 06:56:12 PM
I think there is far too much invested in bitcoin for it to be tossed aside for whatever reason, if it does suffer a setback it will work it's way back.  ETH will be a competitor to bitcoin and will always be the lesser of the two in my opinion.
OP is not talking about tossed aside, he is asking if bitcoin could be passed by eth on the price probably. If we are talking about market-cap and the value than yeah maybe eth could pass bitcoins one day, maybe not that is to see, if we are talking about the PR and the userbase than I think it won’t be even remotely close to getting passed, bitcoin won’t be passed on by eth or any other coin in the near or I personally believe in the far future ever.
1526  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Planned or impulsive gambling? on: March 28, 2017, 06:08:42 PM
Planned or Impulsive? Most of the time i planned everything when i am gambling but when things get worst, meaning if i kept losing then i just become Impulsive betting almost everything until i end up losing all my bankroll.
Your actions show your lack of self control over your emotions. You should not breach your own predetermined plans even in frustrating moments. You must always stick within your plans so that you could avoid more losses.

Many gamblers do start betting in big amounts once they get losses. Actually they would have planned for some small base bet amount for their gambling for that day, but they do breach it because for the reason of recovering losses.
But, at the end of day they would come out of gambling with empty hand for sure. Sticking with plans is always important and decisions taking under pressure will never give us good results.
1527  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: When you play Dice can you feel your heart in your throat? on: March 28, 2017, 05:22:08 PM
I don't know man every time I play dice or any game that you can lose fast or win fast just with a few clicks I can feel my heart tapping on my throat
loool, how about you?

This happens only when I go all in and when the amount is significant to me, like over 200k satoshis. Normally I try to avoid going all in so the feeling you described I experience rarely.
Lossing 200k sat makes you worried ?
Then probably you are still staying safer with gambling. In my beginning days even I am losing 0.001 bitcoins made me so frustrated. But now a days, even losing 0.1 bitcoins within single da,y I'm not bothering that much.

Your all-in will vary with your experience. As long as you are keeping your losses small, you may keep your all-in small and getting frustrations could be avoided.
1528  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What keeps you coming back??? on: March 28, 2017, 03:54:06 PM
Two kinds of people usually come back.
1. winners, they want to make more money, simple logic.
2. losers, they want to win the losses back, sometimes they are lucky enough to make them back, but most cases are losing all money and broke.
These sort of logic really does not work when it comes to gambling,if you are coming back and you want to extract more money i would call that greed because you really do not know when your luck will run out and the biggest mistake in gambling is coming back to recover your loss,i would rather restart once again rather than try to cover my losses.
But what is the difference between re-starting afresh and trying to recover ? Probably the time for coming back into gambling would be the big difference, but the gambler's mindset will be same after facing losses.

When you are giving importance for your money in gambling and then facing losses will make you to come back with your tailor-made reasons.
1529  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Vs Litecoin (The Ultimate Question) on: March 28, 2017, 06:22:16 AM
Now if we have to answer one or the either I would say neither. If we are going to talk which one would be closer to your estimates I  think bitcoin would be. Litecoin was the big deal once upon a time.

Gold of bitcoin to silver of litecoin, but now we can see litecoin has been passed by couple of coins mainly by eth, so that means Litecoin is not peoples choice of silver. It won’t go as big as you think it will. However bitcoin is another subject, 7.500 is a lot of rise in the price, I think it will definitely rise from what is today but not that much.
1530  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Litecoin is officially dead on: March 28, 2017, 04:53:55 AM
The LTC community also suffered from minor hiccups, such as a hacker attack, which resulted in theft of multiple login accounts from LitecoinTalk, a pioneering forum for Litecoin-related issues.

In November 2015, the project also had to fight a lawsuit against a German citizen claiming to have the name "Litecoin" registered, but that it was a branch company that would have nothing to do with Criptomoeda and its projects.

Even with all these setbacks, Litecoin remains very popular in China, where the criptomoeda is traded in major exchanges, with a good status compared to other Altcoins.

Exactly. No a single big issue worth mentioning.

But people seem to be more eager to trust their money to people who lost millions of coins because of a bug... ETH/DAO, for those not paying attention...
There have been many many big major news and setbacks on bitcoin, the biggest ever is ahead of us right now for example but that is not affecting the price as much as people are afraid of, bitcoin is not suddenly 1$ each (all of us would sell everything we own and buy bitcoin at that price even if it dropped Cheesy ) same for litecoin, it had some issues, it will keep having problems but it won’t make it “dead”, it will just affect the prices for a while and will return to normal.

I am considering a scenario that bitcoin, eth and litecoin is just too high on volume to do a regular pump and dump, it would take millions of dollars to even attempt, maybe people do pump and dump of huge coins like litecoin with news and media and human mind manipulation instead how regular pump and dump is done?
1531  Economy / Gambling / Re: BITDICE CASINO - CONGRATULATIONS TO WONTON FOR WINNING 300BTC on: March 27, 2017, 04:11:10 PM
Why not I assume that people are suggesting here the altcoins where they have invested or where they are part of inside team. Basically I am always against altcoins and hence I like to suggest not to add little-known nor highly manipulated altcoins.

We have shapeshift kind of instant services and hence limited altcoin options will be fine imho.
1532  Economy / Economics / Re: Do You Think Bitcoin Will Replace Dollar Soon? on: March 27, 2017, 03:34:12 PM
Currently the us dollar is the most popular currency in the world. Many countries keep their reserves in dollars. This makes America's economy stronger. No, bitcoin will never be able to compete on an equal footing with the dollar.
A lot of countries all around the world are constantly racing to get their reserve of gold and dollar, the current economy makes the dollar dominate the market since we import things from us like gadgets, food and other things, and I don’t think that bitcoin will never be able to catch up to that at least not at its current state.

there are many powerful hands behind who have control on dollar and they don't want bitcoin to replace dollar
Fortunately no one single country nor some group of people will not be able to compete against a community. Bitcoin community is growing strongly and hence we could expect bitcoin replacing anything and it is completely beyond control of anyone.
1533  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do you save bitcoin for fun or for future purpose? on: March 27, 2017, 02:04:47 PM
I think bitcoin is a strong currency and will grow in the future, it will become the global currency of the world, so I work, I make money and reserve it in my wallet, I believe It will stabilize and never crumble. We can get rich if the bitcoin suddenly goes up, which can happen to any currency when it is popular. Bitcoin has a good future, what is happening at the present time is only difficult on its development path, it will be better thanks to it.

I'm thinking about it too, knowing that bitcoin will soon rise in value that usually happens before, after it goes down it incredibly arise and that time before I didn't have enough bitcoin. Now I learned my lesson . I'm saving it now for the time that it will boom again, more than expected.
I guess almost all people are saving bitcoins like you, people who start saving bitcoins as a serious business find the fun within it after some times. Similarly people who were starting saving bitcoin for fun, had found the use of it like life changing opportunities.

I think, we are save Bitcoin not only for money in future, but also for fun in our lives.
Yes, people are having their own reasons to save bitcoin and regardless of for what reason they are saving the benefit of holding bitcoins for long haul will definitely available to them. That is the beauty of bitcoins. Your reason is not a constrain here.
1534  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why should people use Bitcoin? on: March 27, 2017, 12:32:33 PM
There are many benefits attached with bitcoins which cannot be seen with any other currency, bitcoin is a unique currency which can be earned in different ways and it can be also an good form of investment if you can hold it for a long term and the best thing is that its value keeps on increasing over a period of time.
The actual reason and the only reason why normal people should use bitcoin is to make money and secure their saving, just like gold bitcoin has many advantages that makes it the best way to invest money into, it is limited so the more you have the better profit you get and, the reason why they should invest in it instead of the gold is for the short term investment, bitcoin could have a low value today and the next day you find out that it has gone up.
1535  Economy / Economics / Re: Future of Bitcoin Economics on: March 27, 2017, 08:51:08 AM
Some comments are very optimistic, that's what I noticed first. My opinion about bitcoin future is divided, I would like to cost more and to be adopted in the world, but how can that happen? I'm not familiar with potential of bitcoin even many here talk about it. Close friends don't wish nothing with bitcoins, and that push me away when I wish to invest in bitcoin, I think that many feel's like I do.
It does not matter what your friends think of the bitcoin and whether they want to invest in it or not, you should do what you think is right, if you think that bitcoin is a good investment and it has potential like everyone claims then go ahead and invest, many people don’t realize the fact that bitcoin can improve their financial state.
1536  Economy / Economics / Re: How to teach kids about Bitcoin? on: March 27, 2017, 07:18:08 AM
I dont really think that bitcoin is easy to explain on kids because there is so many complicated things in bitcoin though and it is not that simple as fiat currency. I think it is higher chance to be scam rather than in fiat, more over if this is done by kids, there will be a lot of scamming things occur
and i think there is no need to explain bitcoin to kids as kids have to complete their education first and after that when they complete their education can think about starting bitcoin, but the most important thing it to compete their study first.
I would say the same but if you mean by kid you mean teenagers than yes you could teach a teen about bitcoin early so they could start earning their own money if they don’t want to get a part time job, and you could tell them that they could use the money to buy games, I taught  my neighbor about bitcoin and he bought wow with the money he earned and pays for the monthly subscription with it.
1537  Economy / Economics / Re: Where can i invest my money? on: March 27, 2017, 04:08:59 AM
I think the best investment platform is trading or you can make Alt coin so if that alt coin became more popular you can earn a large amount of money. and in trading just invest in legit coin and do the trading but you can loss in trading so I will suggest with that amount of money create a alt coin.
I agree with you . trading is the right choice in investing. trading can bring a lot of money is not infinite. the more we are smart set the time to sell and buy bitcoin / altcoin then we will be more and more profit. this can be done by everyone.
yes there is no doubt that trading is a right choice but i think for trading you need to have some good money for trading, at least you must  have a little amount of money for trading cheap alt coin, even from which you can make good money .

Every investment needs a capital and same goes with trading too but the good thing about trading altcoins is that you can start even with a small capital and you don't have to put huge sum of money to start trading so after spending enough time in it you can take a decision of whether to increase a capital or not and if yes then up to what extent.
I agree, there are a lot of ways to invest your money into, but the thing is you just have to find the right one for you, and not make the mistake that everyone falls into is that jump without what they are risking, they don’t even take the time to look it up, they think that trading bitcoin is easy and everyone and his dog can make money out of it.
1538  Economy / Economics / Re: How can we make more money? on: March 26, 2017, 08:00:46 PM
Trading is definitely a best source to earn more money and if you have good skills and strategy then it can bring really good and positive results for you and if you invest higher capital in it then it will also result in higher profits but don't forget the risk factor associated with it.
Not all types of trading are easy. But people are sharing that they are making good profits with bitcoin trading and even with altcoin trading many traders are facing losses.

If you want to make more money then you have to work more harder and you should be dedicated to your work and goals and you need to constantly work on it from the dawn to dark and try to choose an profession in which you are passionate about then you will enjoy your work even more and it will become easy for you to earn more money.
This is true, not just with bitcoin but for everywhere. Unfortunately before bitcoin I was unable to find more money making opportunities. Even I was aware of all these things, finding suitable opportunity was really big challenge before bitcoins. So I like to suggest to go specific with bitcoin so that you could find more easy opportunities for your time and efforts.
1539  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Giving up gambling is not easy on: March 26, 2017, 05:24:55 PM
Giving up gambling is quite easy, when you don't have any money left to gamble with, You will eventually stop gambling.

And if one day we had another money, we will come back to gamble again. It's not so easy to stop gambling especially when we already enjoy the game.
Not just with entertainment reason, people are finding it too hard when they break their hopes of becoming rich in quicker times. That must be the prime reason every gambler is finding quitting gambling as very big challenge.

That is the reason we should not believing into gambling for making money from it. Practically gambling will never make anyone reach but we are developing such type of intentions within ourselves by seeing when some people are sharing about their big winning from gambling.

When we are not holding any commitment with gambling, I believe it will be so easier to give it up.
1540  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Does experience matter in gambling? on: March 26, 2017, 03:26:23 PM
I don't think there is no need of any experience to gamble, completely depends on the decisions he makes. A good gambler will play according to situation because he may quit gambling when he is continuously making money.
To play according to the situation, anyone must need some experience.
Without experience, it will not be possible to stop gambling after making some money. Because that is the human nature to continue gambling once you see some profits from it.

Even luck will be the influencing factor in your gambling, your decisions will get you safer places. To make those right decisions at right time you must need some experiences.
