1521  Economy / Speculation / Re: Why Bitcoin price will reach $100 000 on: April 29, 2019, 04:00:23 PM
You need to get the idea of 1 bitcoin = $100,000,000 out of your head, and treat 1 bitcoin = 1 bitcoin, that way the market will never phase you, $lave.

This green talk is so overhyped it's not even interesting anymore. Please, get some numbers before you start generalizing! How much surplus energy is being produced around the world? This energy can't be stored and is being wasted. Whether bitcoin mining exists or not this energy will continue being produced and if not mining then other industries will eventually grow to use it.
Also, there's nothing stopping people from producing green energy if there's a branch of industry willing to pay for it. Miners want more, you build new solar/tidal/geothermal/hydro plant to supply them.

This bitcoin gives a great incentive to build a solar array.

Or build another coin that does not use that much power and does the exact same thing.
Take a look into Forging vs Bundling vs Mining

Bitcoin's "pollution" is still orders of magnitude lower than the entire world banking system, the datacenters Google, Microsoft and Amazon operate, and I could continue for a while. You get the point (I hope).

The benefit of energy consumption is that it forces every involved party to look for an alternative, because you firstly want your rates to be cheaper (a business is a business at the end of the day), and the alternatives are cleaner as well, which reduces external (political) pressure on your operation, which is another incentive right there.

The worst part is that some people consider it a waste of energy, lol. Securing trillions worth of value every year is a waste, right.  Roll Eyes

True the current systems are build around greed as well  Angry and bitcoin is better but still the fact is most the energy is not green energy being used. Which actually makes the price go up to the general public in the areas. Take a look into things like the Carbon Tax.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=K8kua5B5K3I where are the solar panels?

Mining and Forging in terms of distribution are pretty much the same thing the only difference is one uses more power than all of Ireland atm and one could run on a single laptop and have basically the same results.

It is a waste of energy, That power could be used for food production, if bitcoin price drops to 0, what did we accomplish, We don`t have anything to use in the real world like if we used the energy on mining Gold or FOOD.
1525  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Better Exchanges p2p, Exchanges Question (volume) on: April 29, 2019, 02:45:50 PM
What stops a exchange from buying and selling a coin repeatedly to increase volume? if they don`t have to pay tx fees on transactions. They can manipulate volume numbers to promote coins they want to sell.

Not only for a coin promotion, those exchanges may get benefits only by listing coins, as they may don't even care about those coins being traded or not, most of thse coins are a total scam.
Two of the main reasons to see this epidemic failure of most of them [exchange platforms] is to boost their rank in the coinmarketcap and attract more coins to get listed in their statistics [listing fees]. Sadly to say that the majority of those greeds are ready to deceive the community for a "win at all cost" strategy. Most horrifying information i got by searching about additional information is that only three exchanges were found to truthfully report their trading volumes, when all the others (about 88%) are all severely exaggerated according to a statistic made by BlockchainTransparency. This picture is terrifying:

from what I know, most of the exchanges use a representation of the token or coin, and if they are the owner of the site, they can have 0 fees when trading, meaning they can buy and sell large amounts of volume at no cost to make them appear on the volume charts you just showed.

I know how blockchain could stop that with p2p trading and internal fees in the wallet. Like shown in Ardor and Bitswift network wallets. Where the trades take part between users instead of 3rd party. But how do you know these webpage exchanges are honest?  what does "Real volume" mean when the tokens are not on the network OR lets say I own Binance, Bitfinex or Liquid the 3 exchange claiming to have "honest volume", I have a account with 0 fees, I can manipulate that volume no?

So how do we know these 3 exchanges are honest?

What does this do? The Monkey see monkey do effect.  It is why people viewbot on twitter, twitch and youtube, Same thing.

What do you think would make a good channel name? Basics of bitcoin? Bitcoin Brilliance? Bitcoin 101? Bitcoin Learning?

My first video will be going over the whitepaper, my 2nd video will be going over the client (bitcoin core), my 3rd video will be going over safety of your accounts (cold wallets, skeleton keys, leaked data bases, social engineering) my 4th video will be mining, my 5th video will be why not to trust exchanges *cough banks* (mt.gox, quadriga, poloniex to name a few)

I could make over 1000 videos on the subject.
I will make over 1000 videos on the subject.
Your videos will not still be different from 100s of videos on YouTube already, because from what you have mention none state a video about the advantage of using bitcoin or ways to use bitcoin, yes I know you point out safety in protecting wallet what about safety in carrying out transactions on bitcoin. We already have loads of youtubers who have dealt with all those aspects why not try something different. YouTube have been the only source for online video documentary channel for bitcoin and the number of videos promoting bitcoin on YouTube is on the increase on daily basis.

I mean for sure they would not be different then some of them. Otherwise I would be giving out false information, But when I "youtube the word bitcoin" I would like to see some of these channels instead of just market fortune tellers. So I guess I have to take matters into my own hands.

I will state the advantages as well, that is a good video idea (which has already also been done) but no harm in making another, thanks.
and where you can spend your bitcoins, I bought my computer, lap, clothes, food and medicine with bitcoin.

youtube and twitch has a way of viewbotting nonsense content.

Youtube is just one click away and it serves as our 100% entertainment on different aspects of videography such as news, documentaries, educational videos, music videos etc.. In a world full of social popularity, its not a surprise that youtubers exist like a mushroom. Vloggers or video bloggers doubled in such a small period of time also having the fact that mloe than popularity, they also receive money depending on the number of their subscribers.

The number one trending videos of the century is the "unboxing" videos which obviously documenting the unboxing of items such as gadgets and mystery boxes. I dont know but its really popular for our generation  since we are the people who gets easily curioused into something.

But how does this connect with the cryptocurrency?

If youre aware with the mystery box videos, you are particularly aware with those who exist in deep web. In this you will purchase a mystery box with some creepy  things on it, not ordinary ones, which most of subscribers request. But how can you purchase a mystery box from deep web? Yes. By purchasing it on bitcoin to hide your identity since we all know that the site lies bad people.

Youtubers always mention bitcoin and tell viewers about it even on slightest discription. They are not aware that they influence someone and they search about it. With this they promote bitcoin unconsciously and unexpectedly and i think its a good way to introduce bitcoin on mass media.

The problem is most of the youtubers only talk about price and market speculation, not how to use bitcoin, the white paper, why it is a better alternative fiat than the current fiat, how not to get hacked and lose all your coins, how to make cold wallets, the genesis block(the article it linked to), hashes, mining, double spending, the difference between bitcoin.org and .com, pools etc, blockchain etc, etc.

These pump and dumpers actually would get more people into bitcoin, if they gave a better of explanation of the tech behind bitcoin to get more people into bitcoin rather than "ITS GOING TO DAH MOON!"
Example youtube "Bitcoin" https://imgur.com/a/oEPzL3k "Price, price, price, price, price video"

I will be starting some bitcoin 101 soon on a new channel on those things mentioned above, then get into other stuff like I did in these videos, my current channel was created for my gaming memories.

We all know how beneficial it is for us to have a currency like Bitcoin , something that we can use without any interference and without any middle man, but there is always a problem with things that we usually unsee because of the huge benefits it earns to us and this time it's environmental pollution.
Bitcoin as we know it requires mining to continue it's supply , but the thing is mining consumes Tons of energy and thus makes it harder for us to cope up with the stress it is putting up on the environment.
Pollution, global warming  Bitcoin is causing all this , one might argue that it won't be necessary after a while but what about right now ? It's hurting the environment and we have no stable solution for this.
Shouldn't we focus on this too ? Rather than other things ?

"something that we can use without any interference and without any middle man"
I mean in order to cash them out you are trading back into fiat (middle man), in order to use them there is tx fee given to a (middle man), bitcoin itself is mostly owned by some else's supply(middle man). When you have to trade your bitcoin into fiat on a exchange (middle man).

May 5th, Christie Pits Park, All Toronto Canadians will be talking about Climate change
I will be presenting there, A token that is providing people basic income (www.bitswift.cash) and runs off 1 laptop and a solar panel (not more than the entire power supply of Ireland) (I can see why governments want to ban it)

I was thinking about starting a YouTube channel regarding Bitcoin/crypto. I was thinking I was focusing on tutorials about the wallets, recovery, services, etc. (It won't be anything related to price analysis).

What are your thoughts and what do you think are some themes that you think should be covered?

Hey it would be great if you could go over issues like this, I suck at making videos and am to much of a troll to be taken seriously, even though these are pretty serious issues. Plus I keep getting my post removed and banned from this forum, twitch and youtube Smiley thanks.

1531  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Better Exchanges p2p, Exchanges Question (volume) on: April 28, 2019, 09:05:31 PM

This is possible, and I guess most people do this but based on the market price. But, take note that the price of cryptocurrency is derived from the market demand driven by market activity not by personal exchange between parties.

What do you mean? There is still a demand and people trading btc in a decentralized exchange and market price

1532  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Government, Bitcoin/Gold Limited Supply Problem, P2P Exchanges and Solutions! on: April 28, 2019, 04:59:53 PM
So TL:DR I will sum this up fast.

Why vote people to vote for you? (democracy/decentralized voting is here)
Why give you bitcoin to another man to exchange with another man? (decentralized p2p exchanges are here) cut the middle man that always gets hacked (mt.gox, quadriga, poloniex the list goes on) and keep the money in your own wallet!
Why work for another mans money supply? (anyone can make crypto with 3 clicks on this network)
Why use a limited supply that in the end will get us killed and also en$laves our children (watch the simulation)
Why use a unfairly distributed supply? (common sense, we all equals here)
Why not use time as a currency? it is what really backs the entire system we use today (you work for 8 hours you get 8 tokens(or hours), why exchange time into money?)
Why do none of you care? Is this post being blocked again? hello? brothers and sisters are you there? WAKE UP BEFORE IT IS TO LATE AND THEY HAVE ROBOTS KILLING US ALL THROUGH DNA AND FACE SCANS!

What stops a exchange from buying and selling a coin repeatedly to increase volume? if they don`t have to pay tx fees on transactions. They can manipulate volume numbers to promote coins they want to sell.

I really like the idea of not giving my coins to a "bank" (mt.gox, poloniex, quadriga, dragonex, bithump, the list goes on) all of these have been hacked. I have lost bitcoins on 3 of the sites.

What is the point from removing coins from exchanges? Why add them in the first place? I really wonder how many people have lost their coins due to exchanges doing this and not having a way to send the coins back to the user, The coins will die out on their own anyways if no progression is being made or people do not see the value in it anyways.

Why not just keep your coins in your wallet? and exchange p2p? Now there is no middle man to take a cut from Joe trading apples with Sally for oranges.

1534  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: (bitcoin/gold) Limited Supply Problem and Solution ideas. on: April 28, 2019, 04:04:05 PM
in reality, there is indeed no idea that is a waste and the challenges are always implementation and its usage in the real life scenario. when everybody creates his or her coin, there will be loads of controversial uprisings as we still have people who will involve in fraudulent activities of making or cooking up coins that will only be use for one transaction and then destroyed and in such a case what becomes your insurance policy

What is this insurance policy you are talking about? I never said anything about insurance policy's. Why would they only be used for one transaction? they would be used for your entire life.  I can tell you did not even watch the videos, go watch them or have no idea about the concept I am talking about.

"will be loads of controversial uprisings as we still have people who will involve in fraudulent activities of making or cooking up coin"

Brother what do you think every altcoin is or even bitcoin or even "government" fiat?? This stops it by having a universal passport(fingerprint and photo) attached to your unique address. so you can only "cook up" your own single coin. Which if is created with more supply than mine, I will not value at a 1:1. In which case everyone will get the same start if we all produce 1000 tokens, and if you want to waste your altcoin, buying gucci, supreme and lamborghini's. You will have to work for it back.
1535  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: (bitcoin/gold) Limited Supply Problem and Solution ideas. on: April 28, 2019, 02:30:34 PM
George Carlin https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=n-p9uTw2xuI  (he is right, they will spill ours if we don`t do something, all it takes is a DNA swap and if your blood does not match their blood your race is GONE) or a drone that has a database of face scans. *cough facebook cough*

So let`s say bitcoin replaces fiat, it won`t until we get rid of the governments

But lets say in some sort of miracle this happens or we start a new society(we find a island not claimed by the U.N) not ruled by the few and ruled by all, Where we trade bitcoin only.

What happens when we mine it all out? do the younger generations need to live on there knees for the elders supply? Why does the younger generation (the ones that will be taking care of the elders) why do they not get a equal chance to mine? Why are they forced into a $lavery $ystem? Where the current system makes it literally impossible to live off the land and have another option because we have stolen all the land and polluted it.

Does Satoshi not believe in equality?

I will tell you right now, I farmed 50 acres my entire life (small family farm). Peaches, Cherries, Broccoli, Sun flowers, Beans, Cucumbers, Apples, Pears and Nectarines. You are not eating my food supply anymore. I kept well over a million people alive. Someone else can do it this year. This year all my fruit will go to the animals. They deserve it more than you bankers, politicians and military. They create life rather than mass death and enslavement.  Anyone who wants to trade their time (doing work on the farm), can eat this year for free.
1536  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Fun stuff to do with bitcoin? on: April 28, 2019, 03:42:41 AM
I remember the first years of bitcoin's life. There were so many things to do and learn: mining, faucets, wallets, blockchain visualizations, etc.

Nowadays the bitcoin world is pretty boring: mining is for people with deep pockets, faucets don't exist anymore, wallets are getting centralized by big corporations (blockchain.com, coinbase, etc.).

Is there anything fun left to do with bitcoin, any specific application, website, app, anything that will make bitcoin fun and interesting again? Otherwise I just keep on holding and that's it.

faucets don't exist anymore? There is like 100`s of them, here is the best paying one I found atm, that you can get 4 altcoins from and cash

www.bitswift.cash click "item mine" for the altcoins

Yes, you got it right Shocked i can smell something fishy that has to do with govt regulation(s).

Presently, i donot how how this is going to affect us a part of btc communty but, for sure it will put most people a tight corner.

Most trader's who has insight has started making  plan in case if, this should take place in future.

*Unfortunately, they fail to warn or alert other member's.

The experience, i had today is not a good sign when i was trying to sell-off bitcoin in my wallet.
Let's hope is not what most of us has been predicting over a period of year's now

Because, if, it is, it will make trading unprofitable to most of us.

For now, i'll like to keep this very brief without going into detail's

NOTE : "i wise son see's danger and take heed but, i fool caught there-in !!"

Have a nice day anyone who took the "time" out to watch the video in full, Thanks I owe you 30 minutes of time tokens when I am done the system. No that is a representation of a democracy, A true democracy is run by all the people it`s like 3 wolves(or the pack) voting what is for dinner.
vote people to vote for you, what a joke.

o btw you know Ancient Greece used to be a democracy https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dj5VZ0tUhOg , the only reason they stopped is population got to high it was not feasible so they elected representatives. They did not have computers and the tech we have today.
it is this simple now
https://www.strawpoll.me/17898481
https://www.strawpoll.me/17898472

This is the problem with electoral votes and representation of democracy

Example: 100 people in a gym

We vote Bill, Ted and Sally to represent us (left, middle, right) (trump, hillary) ( Conservative Party, Liberal Party, New Democratic Party)
for this example we will use Bill, Ted and Sally

Bill wants to play hockey in the gym
Ted wants to play basket ball in the gym
Sally wants to play soccer in the gym

97% (if us the people, want to play dodge ball)

But now we are stuck playing hockey, basket ball or soccer.
or passing the most ridiculous laws ever, so they can line their pockets and us the general public get no benefit from it.
*cough* carbon tax *cough* yah when those plants screw over all the farm land good luck guys.

if 50.0000000000000000001% of us want to play dodge ball were freaking playing dodgeball or don`t play Smiley that is fine to.

(we can do repolls if it is ever that close)let`s say it is a 50/50 between football and rugby, ok we repoll the same thing 50/50 3 times in a row, leave it to the coin flip baby, just dice it.

The genesis block appears on the global wallet and opens its secrets and mystery's never seen before Shocked Shocked Shocked Shocked Shocked

https://justflipacoin.com/
Shocked Shocked Shocked Shocked Shocked Shocked Shocked Shocked
ok looks like we are playing Rugby my doods.

Although if Satoshi bought and Island and started his own government and they were only to accept bitcoin with a few changes (to cut power usage and starting distribution sure you get as much as you want you created it I am cool with you being the 1%er), I would do farming for free for us and building/roofing. I am a jack of all trades. Within a year we could all have farmbots feeding us and public housing with backups, people would only have time to commit to building the self sustaining society even more self sustaining and doing the things they love. We could watch the rest of the world like how they watch uncontacted tribes live back in the wood age, it could be our reality tv show. Although we would have to do something when they start launching nukes at each other. Pretty easy, make drones that scan your face and if your not on the chain. PEW PEW YOU LOSE.
