1521  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Dear Drug Lord Douche bags: on: July 12, 2011, 07:16:36 PM
Nothing specific. I don't take drugs or deal in them. I was witness (hearing, not seeing) a drug-related double homicide down the street. I hope you never have to push your children to the floor when the machine guns go off outside the window. It's not fun. Needless to say I moved out of Juarez soon after that.
I hope I never have to as well, I can see where your motivations stem from, I'm sorry about that.  All I can say is direct your emotions toward paths that could help correct a wrong, but I'm sure you know that and if it was my children on the line, everyone gets it associated with whatever it would be that could possibly harm my children.
1522  Other / Meta / Re: Kanged! The operators of this forum should be more embarrassed than vegetta. on: July 12, 2011, 07:10:31 PM
That is not the topic of this thread.

j
You are right.  It is about a new term called "Kanged!", how silly of me lol
1523  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bittrust API on: July 12, 2011, 07:09:16 PM
Some word/s from the owner of Bit Trust http://forum.bitcoin.org/index.php?topic=28284.0

Hopefully he will either be out of the Newbie section or hit up reddit to talk more about his site.
1524  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: http://forum.bitcoin.org/index.php?topic=28199.0 on: July 12, 2011, 07:08:10 PM
Slow down there little buddy.

Criticizing?  Let's use the word exploring and finding out.  As that thread makes no full on claims about your site, and in fact I think kind of questioned it is all.

Glad to see you are alive.

I made this on reddit http://www.reddit.com/r/Bitcoin/comments/inibg/bittrust_api_transactions_commissions_affiliate/

Please feel free to sign up there and talk more about your site, I would encourage it honestly, because right now there is a site open, but no one claiming to be behind it until now, so please understand the whole trust issue, especially in regards to Bitcoin (and in fact, if you want to keep progressing, this is a fact you need to start being more understanding of, like right now lol).

But yeah, I highly suggest just dropping some information about your site on that reddit link, I made sure the title was a question, not a comment (just for this reason you seemed to have made this thread, I make no assumptions on whether a site is trustworthy or not, just go by what information is available).

1526  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Dear Drug Lord Douche bags: on: July 12, 2011, 06:58:10 PM
Other douchenozzles include those who take advantage of the drug laws to defraud their customers with low quality shit.
I now am reading this thread completely differently.  Sounds like a bad situation happened, yet you are happy about some outcome of this situation.  Was there something specific that motivated you to start this thread?
1527  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bit train game - be the first to be 7th 3 times! 0.3 BTC award! on: July 12, 2011, 06:56:12 PM
Jesus fuck man, do you want your domain name blocked from being linked from Bitcoin.org?  Surely spamming of this magnitude cannot be a great goal for any sort of long term money Sad
1528  Other / Meta / Re: Kanged! The operators of this forum should be more embarrassed than vegetta. on: July 12, 2011, 06:54:24 PM
This thread...

Aint worth my bitcoins Wink

But it is a thread.

That references another thread.

http://forum.bitcoin.org/index.php?topic=28169.0

That is making reference to yet another thread

http://forum.bitcoin.org/index.php?topic=20984.0

It doesn't get more epic than this.  Except for when you bring in reddit.  Then you have a reddit talking about the thread

http://www.reddit.com/r/Bitcoin/comments/imfa5/op_wants_to_open_a_porn_site_with_bitcoins_but/

And then a reddit talking about the thread that is talking about the reddit.

http://www.reddit.com/r/Bitcoin/comments/ink3l/btc_forum_comments_on_a_reddit_thread_commenting/

Certainly there is NO trolling involved in ANY of this AT ALL, ALL THESE POSTS WERE MADE WITH GREAT INTENTIONS FOR THE BETTERMENT OF THE BITCOIN COMMUNITY Cheesy

And it definitely has nothing to do with anything but the original topic that was being discussed, some guy wants to start a cam site and does not react well to advice.  I am enjoying every layer of this bullshit lol
1529  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Listing website plugins - what am I missing ? on: July 12, 2011, 06:24:10 PM
What other website plugins am I missing? I will link to any plugin, provided it is not crap.
As someone who is for BitcoinPlus, I would not recommending advertising the site until it receives some updates clearing out any issues regarding their fees and payment system.   I know one can't get personal when doing a directory/listing site, however I would just say this based on the information is old (I think the transfer fee was still listed at the .01, the price of btc is listed at like $7).  I could point you to some threads if you want to see people talking on this at great lengths.
1530  Other / Off-topic / Re: JP MORGAN builds FPGA supercomputer... on: July 12, 2011, 06:16:58 PM
They couldn't. Even if it could mine that fast, they would get no more than 2016 blocks before the difficulty changes to account for the new processing power.

If people want to make a hypothetical situation real, I would take it to the next step and say all the mining pools would band together just to ensure that JP Morgan does not benefit as much as they would like to.
1531  Other / Meta / Re: Bitcoin Discussion (Technical) + Bitcoin Discussion (Theory), Split the Baby! on: July 12, 2011, 06:14:49 PM
How can one not enjoy the anarchy of these forums lol

I like to throw out advice on how to better things, but in the end even the posts I don't like I end up laughing out loud at a lot of crap, this really is one of the better forums I have used ever just because the variety in what motivates someone to post here.  It's great that there are newbies just waiting to rip others off, and it seems there is just a slew of uneducated people that seem to be attracted to the scammers lol.  I can see how the mods like some things about how the forum is divided up.
1532  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Dear Drug Lord Douche bags: on: July 12, 2011, 06:10:28 PM
The following post must be read aloud in a super cartoony stoner voice.

The real drug lords?

The real drug lords is the governments maan

Some body.. outta..  douche.. their bags.
And shit.

Somebody pass me the blunt!
1533  Other / Meta / Re: Bitcoin Discussion (Technical) + Bitcoin Discussion (Theory), Split the Baby! on: July 12, 2011, 06:06:20 PM
I've tried to push this so many times, but gave up.

The admins want the forum this way, and it's up to them.
I swear this was an original thought, other than the bible reference lol

What is it they want this way?  The current sections and how it is divided up?
1534  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Dear Drug Lord Douche bags: on: July 12, 2011, 05:57:18 PM
billyjoeallen, what do you have against personal freedom?

Or is it the current structure in which the drugs are obtained that irks you?

How can we better this?  And how can we do so using Bitcoin?

Obviously Silk Road is a great idea, but not the 'final solution', what else can be done to keep the drugs out of the druglord's hands and into just the user's hands directly?
1535  Other / Meta / Re: Kanged! The operators of this forum should be more embarrassed than vegetta. on: July 12, 2011, 05:55:08 PM
'everyone' at '/r/bitcoin' was laughing at me 'pwning' myself

It's like the entry to my first LiveJournal Sad
1536  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Reddit comments on a thread. Interesting discussion on: July 12, 2011, 05:49:03 PM
Everyone looking for more information about bitcoin goes to bitcoin.org, which directs them here, where they see all the tactless fools who have set up camp.  The forum admins have made sure that this place is a welcoming environment for tactless fools, who need not fear having their nonsense censored.

I would make the arguement that only the best make it through.

Which makes me, you, julz, Jesse King, and really all the people in this thread, the best.

Excuse me for a minute.

So has the "Meta" subforum of Bitcoin.org has officially become Bitcoin Discussion Sad
1537  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Dear Drug Lord Douche bags: on: July 12, 2011, 05:45:02 PM
I don't find this funny at all, but then again I'm not a drug lord douche bag, still, this post is so mean spirted.

I counter act it with instructions on How to use Silk Road

http://www.gwern.net/Silk%20Road

Now this thread has balance Smiley

You do not speak for the nation.  I promote Bitcoin to people with the backing that it helps fund the War on Drugs (the winning side).
1538  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Bitcoinmarket Invite on: July 12, 2011, 05:42:13 PM
Someone sent me an invite to that site when I was a Newbie.

I have still yet to use that site once.  I already forget what it does.  I know I can Google, and I will in a sec, just trying to honestly remember what they offer.

Explain to me what that site does and why it is valuable and I will look into this inviting thing (I am guessing if I haven't used the site though I probably have not earned the ability to invite others)
1539  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: "Backstory, bought a midi-tower, graphic card did not fit! Case-mod FTW" on: July 12, 2011, 05:31:27 PM
That's something I'd do lol. The other day in order to fit my 4th card I took a hammer and chisel to the case to make an indent in some unnecessary metal.

I don't even mine, but of course building my own machines, I seen that picture and know the current desktop I'm on has the whole back looking like that.  Probably was something of my own fault, got mad, felt like a god and bent metal lol
1540  Economy / Marketplace / Re: Sell me something! on: July 12, 2011, 05:29:59 PM
I sent a PM to everyone who replied with a price quote. Still waiting on the Dreamcast.

My bad, did not see this post till now, the Dreamcast is def still up for grabs.

A Dreamcast, one controller, two VMU's, power and tv cords, shipped to America, for whatever the equivalent to $60 is at the time of transaction (I would like to stamp a BTC price on that, but the $14 current market keeps fluctuating enough where I rather just let you know how much it would be, but you can def pay in BTC)
