1521  Economy / Speculation / Re: I think Bottom is gone on: January 14, 2023, 10:33:42 AM
This is a relief rally I believe, technical analysis is most times incorrect, my advice is do not rely on them, in crypto space never say never, I will still keep some USDT aside just in case, before I can say the word 'bottom is in" we will be sighting BTC halving few weeks away.

Right now the bottom is not in, we can still see a big decline so do not rush in to buy some coins.
1522  Economy / Gambling discussion / How wrongful can this go? on: January 14, 2023, 08:23:14 AM
I don't like giving out my private information for any project or platforms online and I have no choice but to provide wrong personal details in order to maintain anonymity, how bad can this get if anything happens to the website system?

Is this a wrongful approach to online casinos that requires KYC? Or any of you have a better solution? There must be someone like me on here that have their ways around this. Share ideas if you can.
1523  Economy / Gambling discussion / Could be a bigger challenge when market force is low on: January 14, 2023, 07:32:14 AM
Roulette games alikes will never go out of business for online casinos but I still believe that video games are a big challenge for casinos, now that we have play to earn games is big not even a bigger challenge for casinos?

I know that play to earn isn't perfected yet, too many flaws with the tokenomics and stuff but if a better solution comes there might be less interest for online casinos, the only games that will keep them alive is Roulette and the oldies.
1524  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Should your wife or husband know your seed phrase? on: January 12, 2023, 09:03:22 AM
Not in the U.S  Grin

Everyone keeps saying marriage is a beautiful thing but no one wants to talk about the reality of today's marriage lives, I won't like sharing my private keys with anyone, not even my wife..

I want her to grow and prosper too so I bought few BTC for her and teach her every thing she needs to know about BTC and wallets.

I keep telling people, change is the only thing that's constant in human's life, do not be so sure even if things are going fine in your life, bring your woman up, invest in the name of your kids, but make sure your invest in yourself too.

Always expect the unexpected.
1525  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Another lesson for those that are using custodial exchanges and wallets on: January 12, 2023, 05:04:45 AM
Crypto wallets like Wyre are custodial, I doubt they give users access to their private keys or recovery seed, on such wallet you will only need your Gmail and a password to log into the wallet, KYC information is also required as per my research lol, this is a big red flag, I hope people learn and understand the importance of non custodial wallet.
1526  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: Miners running Off grid/Solar on: January 11, 2023, 06:12:55 PM
You can turn off your miners using apps on smartphone like hiveOS application or through the browser, I do this a lot without getting closer to my mining rigs.

If you off your router the miner will still keep running but with less power consumption compared to when the miner is fully working with the internet connection.

I prefer having extra juice available when mining with solar panels so that my battery bank can also recharge fully for night use, I hope you have some calculator? I am not sure that running 2 S9 and 1 S19 with extra asic miners on a 10kw is a good idea.

I might be wrong but you should do some calculations first.

My optimum result would be for an Automated turn on/off by time/r option in firmware - will check if HiveOS can help.

I have just test loaded DJayOS into an S9 as the old stock firmware was running the unit a bit hot and causing lots of reboots on the hot days.  I now have the S9J under clocked running at a reliable 10TH at around 1KW for our 10 hours of daylight.  The S19 runs at 3K3 watts so in total I have 5300 watts of miners running and accessories(fans/pumps) using only 250W.  So I don't have  an issue is running 6000 watts on a 10,000 watt system.

I feel I can squeeze 2Kw more out of the system as the panels still fully charge the batteries by 10 am.
More panels and inverters are planned if I can find them cheap enough.

The more load you add to your solar energy build the longer your battery bank takes to fully charge, also you should know that it won't always be a sunny day, there are rainy seasons as well, make sure you have enough power left to charge your battery bank per day while mining with all the rigs at the same time.

My solar battery bank started misbehaving when I add to much load, I meant the battery bank wasnt lasting as it supposed to until I remove a rig, extra power is very important, for buffering sake and keeping the full battery at full.
1527  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Is there best way to seek people's attention on bitcoin? on: January 11, 2023, 05:02:45 PM
The easiest way to confuse people about Bitcoin is if they can make money straight away out of buying Bitcoin or paying you in Bitcoin, if you are accepting Bitcoin as means of payment for your business for example you can introduce a discount, this works very well...

I've tried telling many people about Bitcoin but very limited people show interest, too many naysayers around me.
1528  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Streamer and Crypto Guru Gambles Away Investor Funds on: January 11, 2023, 01:58:27 PM
No one can manage your fund like yourself, the moment you turn your back and sleep peacefully at night they will carry out disgusting plans with your funds, your funds are Safuu only with yourself.

Gambling can be very addictive even if all you know is losses, I have seen people losing everything they had to gambling and they still find it difficult to quit, the sentimental that they can make it through gambling is very poisoning.
1529  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Questions of the day concerning Bitcoin payment on: January 11, 2023, 09:06:22 AM
Is increasing gas fee for BTC the only way to speed up its transaction speed? Also how can one use a lightening network in a BTC wallet? I've heard about this but I don't know so much about it..

Apart from Bitcoin is it fine to add other coins as a means of payment in your local business? Is this fine or it's better to stay with Bitcoin only.
1530  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Store your seed phrase offline on: January 11, 2023, 07:43:55 AM
Seed phrases are safer on a notebook than anywhere else, the only thing to watch out for is natural disasters like water and fire, if you want to take this to another level then carve the words on a stainless steel and keep that in a safe location that only you knows and have access to.

Anything online is not friendly to crypto wallet and keys.

1532  Other / Off-topic / Re: I don't think the prices of things will get better. on: January 10, 2023, 06:42:17 PM
Nothing stays the same forever, I don't know which country you are from but things are quite expensive here too, if people are hoping that things can go back to the way they used to well that depends on where they are from, some countries sucks more than the others but it's good to hope.

I as a person don't like one source of income, my father used to say that having one thing is like not having at all, if you are making money from a source it could get blocked one day and if you have two source of income you still have something left that can make you money.

Some people prefer starting a business first before investing money but we can't all do the same thing, humans aren't wired this way, I started investing money before having a business and that journey was not easy at all.
1533  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin can be banned or stopped by governments on: January 10, 2023, 04:07:40 PM
The government must have tried and failed, BTC was a threat to centralised power and the government and today it survived, there is no proof that the government isn't even investing in Bitcoin right now, so far Bitcoin has remained unstoppable and it will always be unstoppable, any country that has banned Bitcoin they will end up lifting the ban, it takes time and patience.
1534  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: age 28 is it too late or not to invest in bitcoin.? on: January 10, 2023, 09:35:43 AM
This will be the third post that people are asking about if it's too late to invest in bitcoin or not, bitcoin bull and bear market changes every four years so even if you have five years left to live you will still make money out of your investment anyways. Seriously these questions are annoying because it shows that people like OP don't do the necessary research on Bitcoin first.
1535  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Anyone making a living from Crypto Sports betting? on: January 10, 2023, 07:55:04 AM
To answer your question- I think not a lot of people bet on sports to make a living, only a very few of them do. However, it's worth mentioning that there are a lot of tipster on soccer where someone can buy credits and use them to buy match result from tipsters.
Personally, I do it for fun, to spend little time. But I'm not in loss. If I check overall, I'm pretty sure I'm in profit.
Most of the times, I play in stake, that's best I think considering all other aspects.
This is very hard to believe because I have a brother who is so into sports bets and he used to buy match results as well but he still loses a lot more than he wins but I am not sure it's tipsters, maybe that's why his outcome is different I don't know, is tipster still functioning today?
1536  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What are the motives that drive you to gamble? on: January 10, 2023, 06:07:05 AM
If you see gambling as a means of making money you will keep losing because you will keep going back to try your luck, I like gambling too but I play with less money and enjoy the game, I never have the mind of playing to win but I play to only have some fun so my betting skills is always on the minimum amount.
1537  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: age 47 is it too late or not to invest in bitcoin.? on: January 09, 2023, 06:19:06 PM
Who told you not to invest at the age of 47? Many real estate investors out there are older than you and you are here complaining, do you know how many years it takes stocks to bring good ROI? Yet older men are into this investment but crypto ROI is faster than others, even at 60 years old its worth giving crypto investment a shot.
1538  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How Are Players Going To Trust Casinos If They Don't Show Solid Evidence on: January 09, 2023, 05:29:12 PM
It depends, for some gambling websites using a VPN is an act of trying to cheat and you can get penalized for that, this is why its better to use a old trusty gambling website, these types of accusations always prompt from new gambling websites and you can see what they are up to but you can't do anything about it.
1539  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The Failure of Exchnages can never be that of Bitcoin. on: January 09, 2023, 01:55:44 PM
Let's not forget that few coins are not listed on centralized exchanges till today and they do so well in this crypto market, look at HEX for example, as successful as this coin is it never get listed on those cex big exchanges .
Bitcoin will do so fine without any centralised exchanges and in fact it feels more at home on Decentralised exchanges, Bitcoin was never created to be under any centralized power as we know it.
1540  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: HELP, I want betting/gambling tokens in crypto portfolio for 2025 on: January 09, 2023, 10:38:14 AM
I do not see the need for those "gambling" tokens... other than some casinos making more money out of the gambling tokens that they developed. Most of these tokens have zero utility, because it cannot be used for anything else... other than using it for gambling.  Roll Eyes

If you want to invest in one token that has some utility and trading value, then go with the FUN token that are used on one of the biggest and oldest Crypto casinos, called Freebitco.in.  Roll Eyes
The same FUN token? Wow I don't know that this token belongs Freebitco.in, I used this platform to get some Satoshis some time ago, I was hesitant to buy any gambling token because I wasn't so sure why they existed in the first place that's I created this topic but thanks for your contribution, I will look into FUN token right away and stay away from the rest.
