Currently not letting me send funds. It says 'sending transaction' beside 'Status: Subscribed To Wallet', but then nothing leaves my wallet.
Edit: I think I see what's happening. I am waiting for the change of an unconfirmed transaction.

Yep

Me and my bud played some Satoshi with 1.99 coin, aiming for 6. We were doing a variation of all bets, mainly the 25% 30 odd % and 50%. Had a lot of fun, got to 4.6 then back to 2.08 and stopped. I'm an online poker player whose made £700 from a bit of casual and often play over the course of the year. Been a poker player for a very long time - and the key to winning is self control. When I have a big loss, I won't play for up to a week till I feel confident again to avoid playing on tilt. I'm definitely going to play Satoshi again in the future when I'm in the mood. I know it favors the house but who cares? Bit of fun init . Are their any good online poker sites which use BTC, and have proper algorithms and a large playerbase? It's always a bitch having to wait 6 days to pull my money out - and BTC is near instant! Never really thought of searching for some poker bitcoin sites... I have been playing on SealsWithClubs.eu recently; every Sunday they have a 60 BTC guarantee tournament. I bubbled last time

there was absolutely no re-investment (probably because of the panic that the delay caused)
Shortly after interest payments stop seems to be slightly too late to be panicking. Either the scheme has just defaulted, in which case your withdrawal won't go through, or it hasn't, and there was no (more than normal) reason to panic. not being sarcastic, that's perfect logic. unfortunately panic and logic don't always go together very well. I'd be interested to know how many withdraws were then re-deposited

So, have Bitcoinmax interest payments been made now?
I read the thread and it's not clear and I swear there were more posts.

I'm shocked at how well this has been handled (so far). So well, in fact, that we may start seeing conspiracies crop up about how btc-e hacked their own site to show how well they handled it. haha I was thinking that, for 4500 BTC it could be worth it lol Hmmm... it does seem to make sense! cryptoanarchist, get working on some theories

Time for bed, I wonder how long this thread will be when I wake up Best of luck to those with a stake in this. Let's hope it can mostly be rolled back.

Sucks their withdraw limit is .1 BTC. Now how am I supposed to get my 0.00933138 BTC out of there? I'm ruined! :-P
Consider yourself lucky. I have 0.0098578 on there that I fear may be lost forever

Heh, account verification to withdraw GBP would be fair enough. But for BTC? That's riduculous... It's not even a real currency technically, about as real as WoW gold.
You call verification for BTC transactions as "riduculous" and then... And yeah, I have heared that if you're using a particular VPN, they will ask for ID regardless. I think we all know why.
...accept it as a fact. Where you heard that? What particular VPN? Please explain you post or get used to being ignored, http://pastebin.com/irj4Fyd5FYI, I just bought some coins on MtGox - I sent the transfer Wednesday evening and it showed early this morning.
Annoyingly, they asked for account verification when I tried to withdraw the BTC. I've uploaded the documents, now it's just a waiting game.
It was large BTC quantity? If you don't mind answering No, it was only a small amount, so I thought I would be fine. Without thinking I had my VPN running (as I do 99% of the time anyway), so this may be why? If anyone has insight into how long verification can take I would be interested to hear. The verification process can take as long as two weeks, it depends on your luck You got some kind of warning for using a VPN? Sorry to bother with my questions, but I find the issue intriguing. Just as an update, I received an e-mail today confirming I was verified. I have now withdrawn my BTC and feel confident to use them over Intersango for now. I have asked them for more details on the possible VPN issue, but I'm still waiting to hear back. Final update! The reason verification was needed was due to my VPN. IP address XXXXXXX is using more than one account and we need verify the account to ensure that you use only one account. So if you don't want to provide docs, don't use a shared IP.

If the hacker can get around any BTC-E withdraw limits then the exchange and its customers could be ruined
|
|
|
Damn it, I was about to go to bed as well!
|
|
|
I make that as over $800,000 Who has that sat on an exchange? Rather than someone's account being hacked, surely it's the exchange itself?
|
|
|
Perhaps someone at BTC-E got hacked, and bought all the BTC they could.
If so, they may not be able to withdraw.
Seems plausible. Though how much USD would it have taken to get to $40?
