1521  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Can gambling be considered a "high risk investment"? on: October 17, 2016, 04:14:11 PM
I think that you can somehow say that but with a investment you can almost predict what you are going to get out of it if you have any knowledge about investing.
With gambling you are just taking a wild guess and see what will happen, it is completely random.

Gambling has high risk to lose your capital and it's not completely random I thought as you could still predict outcome in several games on sports betting, but I think investment is different thing when you sure it has high chance to give profits even though we can't 100% control of it and
unforeseen circumstances could make us get loss . so,
gambling = high risk to lose
investment = high chance to get profits
1522  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Controlling your temper in gambling on: October 16, 2016, 04:15:07 PM
We all know about the power of house edge. So when you are winning, you have a tendency to play more in hoping to win more. However, we all know that in the long run, the house edge will creep in. So a lot of people who is greedy will end up playing more to hope to win more, but in fact, they will realise they will eventually lose instead of profit. This is due to you not able to stop when it is necessary.
That's a human nature to being greedy or want more after winning, the temptation to get profits is unbearable that called us play repeatedly even if we lose, always try to recover it. Controlling our temper in gambling not so hard or easy depend on ourselves, just make deal with yourself when the time to stop chase more winnings today or tired getting loss.
1523  Other / Off-topic / Re: Would you like to receive your salary in BTC? on: October 15, 2016, 09:47:08 PM
If you are a BTC lover, would you one day like to get your paycheck 100% in BTC?

Personally I won't. Because many facilities in my area doesn't support BTC payment. Smiley I do not mind receiving, say, 20% of my pay in BTC denomination.
I would not like to receive my salary in Bitcoin because that is just not handy for me at all, I cannot pay my bills and food that way.
So I would just go with a normal currency that exist in that country, maybe i the future when Bitcoin is more known and used I might like it.
I would not like to receive my salary i Bitcoins because in the end I will need a real currency to pay my bills and other stuff with so wit would not make much sense.
Maybe in the future when it becomes more popular and it makes more sense then it could work but not know.

Indeed I also don't want to receive it basicly just because it's not convenient I can lose parts of my salary like this very easy.
I would like to receive part of my salary only in bitcoin but not more than that.
I know some companies in Australia has started offer bitcoin as salary regarding it has low cost and fast transaction. Bitcoin has more advantages than fiat money, even if you receive it could easily convert into fiat money.
What make it better if you get pay out today and then the price increase in the next day, don't worry if the price decrease it would rise again.
1524  Other / Off-topic / Re: bitcoin affects life a lot on: October 15, 2016, 03:30:28 PM
I would say it is supporting my life a lot instead of affecting. I am spending 4 to 5 hours in earing btc. This earning is used for all expenses. Though I am employed in a reputed organization, the salary I receive is well enough for clearing my personal loans, credit cards and house rent. I lack money for my family expenses. Hence, this small money received every week, supports my family.
I believe so, for now bitcoin might  just supporting your life but in time it will bring good effects if you know how to manage it.
For those who have been here for a long time would know that bitcoin affect life a lot, why not? It gives you information, more knowledge, experiences, share with people about anything we're talking about .
Bitcoin makes me want to grow, learning, and experience a lot of things here
1525  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you consider trading as gambling? on: October 14, 2016, 04:55:53 PM
I don't consider because trading mostly depends on our skills like knowledge, experience etc.But in gambling you need 99% of luck and 1% skills.Though in trading you need a bit of luck but that doesn't matter all the time.

Yes trading depends on skills and knowledge but whatever we say we are putting money here that we don't know if it will win or lose.

Therefore it's a form of gambling since chances of winning and losing is possible. Any form of money risk can be considered as gambling. An investment too is a gambling. But what make it difference is those things you mentioned, skills, knowledge etc.

that's right, trading consider as gambling, in every form of gambling there is still role that need skills like experiences, knowledge and good strategy to win like game of poker or sports betting. Those kind of game doesn't depend on 99% of luck, and we can't predict 100% right on trading that's why you could say it consider as gambling.
1526  Economy / Economics / Re: How to save money. on: October 14, 2016, 01:49:42 PM
I agree there are several methods to savings like you mentioned and a few of people using different way to save their money.
Generally, we just get earnings and spend it to pay the bills and can't savings.
But, I believe on rules to savings like:
- Set how much you want to save every month
- Don't spend on things that you want but what you need
- Spend what left after savings, not save what left after spending
- Better to have savings that you can't instantly withdraw
1527  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can Bitcoin make Banks disappear? on: October 14, 2016, 05:44:15 AM
Bitcoin have lots of potential however it don't gonna replace banks or paper moneys in near future for sure as lots of people are still there in the world who can't even use electronic payment systems and for them bitcoin will be really hard system to understand.

Yeah and especially older generation will never prefer to use bitcoins and will  keep supporting and using banks for their financial transactions as they will find bitcoin very complicated method.

Banks and bitcoin wallet have simultaneous role in money industry, bitcoin wallet can't replace banks because there are some functions that it doesn't has as we know, there is no fiat money on bitcoin wallet or we can't instantly convert it just using bitcoin wallet, vice versa. As far as I know, still there's no a single Bank that accepted bitcoin.
1528  Other / Off-topic / Re: In 20 years, what would you like to do with your bitcoin? on: October 12, 2016, 08:50:01 PM
In 20 years i would liek to do with my bitcoins i think i will start to adopt bitcoin here in my country with my own bitcoin i will start accepting bitcoin in my shop and give some rebate for every people who are using bitcoin with discount..  so that more people knows about bitcoin..
but i think in next 20 years i am going nothing to do with my bitcoin, and i think at that time my son will be playing with it, i think that the present is my time and i have to do something special with my bitcoin and not when i become an old man.
Haha, 20 years is a long time to go, right? If you at 35-40 years old now than nothing to do with bitcoin for 20 years later. People get aged and not so productive anymore.
But for teenager and they are at 15-35 yo, it's good to planning what to do with bitcoin in 20 years.
Many of us talking about the price in 20 years could reach $2K for BTC1, that reliable number at the time consider how long period it would going through.
The idea are to invest some for business and use some for buy goods for daily needs. But still have to savings some for the future, our kids may use it when we leave for good.
1529  Economy / Economics / Re: Is gold better than Bitcoin? on: October 12, 2016, 01:45:06 PM
I am a bitcoin lover of course but , i just can't compare bitcoin to a gold why? simply because gold was made in nature and i can really say that this is one of the most beautiful things created by the creator.
Mee too im bitcoin lover lol nope gold is just created by science and it always a incedent that no one knows how gold are created i think if you are going to choose bitcoin or gold you will difinitely choose gold because it is made in nature but you can't made profit there unless you choose bitcoin.
I prefer bitcoin than gold for short and long term, it gives us an opportunity to have some earnings
But for safety, I will choose gold, for the beginning of time people around the world always looking for gold and now it has massive adopt so it provide more safety investment than any else I thought.

1532  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is a good way to store money? on: September 06, 2016, 12:52:21 PM
I dont think storing money in bitcoin is a good idea, even the price is stable but its quite risky necause when you store your money you expect your money to grow or at least stay still, but storing money in bitcoin can cause your money to decrease, so i think its not a good idea to store money in bitcoin form
yeah risk of storing the bitcoin is getting losses due to price changes fast enough on its own bitcoin. fluctuations in bitcoin make investments in bitcoin be quite risky. so my advice do not use all your money to invest in bitcoin because it would be too risky
You're right, never put all eggs in one basket, so no one will ever use all his/her money to invest in bitcoin because they have daily life to financed and you should always have some funds of fiat money on your savings. I think it's a good idea to storing money in bitcoin even just quarter of your salary every month as savings for your future as we can see the price of bitcoin always has increased every year.
1533  Other / Off-topic / Re: Earning a living with bitcoin? on: September 04, 2016, 12:23:52 PM
I made something for living in my country by signature campaing and gambling thats sound bad but I made arround.. 80$ moth.. when in my country one moth is like 50$

And if i work Make a extra 50. total ammount 130$ very nice income if you are living in Venezuela.
The problem with that earnings is that bro that due to the increasing users among signature first of all its hard to get a place in any signature campaign and even if you get a spot you will be paid less because the competition is so high. Still I think signatures is a good methd to earn but earning a living is not possible with signatures.

I thought it possible make a living from the signature campaign. I myself started only from signature campaign to make a living, a few months later after collecting a capital I finally tried to trade, and to date I was good enough to get more from trade.

For now, earning bitcoin just an extra income for me that couldn't make for living but fair enough to buy something that I need or just savings it for several years. I agree to make living by signature campaign or trade can meet the daily needs depends on where you live and your current level of living, like he said $130 is a very nice income if you are living in Venezuela.
1534  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Why Gambling is Fun? on: September 02, 2016, 05:57:09 PM
Gambling is fun because it is a skill that is easy to learn, so uncles and aunties no need to know anything beforehand. The uncles and aunties can just put in the minimum amount to have a chance of doubling their capital. That is why so many people like to gamble, as it give them the adrenaline rush feelings.
gambling is not a skill at all in my opinion, it is fun because it is a game that allows you to win

In gambling you don't really need to have a skill in it, as long as you have capital for to be able to play with gambling.

That is need to have fun with gambling and the essence of why gambling is fun is that you can have the chance to win good amount of money in it.

And of course the thrill that it gives to the gambler is making it more fun.

And how could you win for that if you don't have skill to do so?  Do you think wild bets gonna make us earn more money?  I think by doing that we can lose all what we have so thats why we need skills for every gambling sites we are betting since it is our only bases that we are doing good and we are on the right track,  i understand luck is a great + for us to win but ypu cannot be lucky if you are lame to bet on unknown matters,  dp you think you can have fun if you lose with that gambling manners?
yeah, skills is what matter in gambling. How could we want to win some game without know something about it, so we need knowledge and experiences to win it. I agree that gambling is fun because the adrenaline rush to hope get profits by your big betting and don't want to lose it.
1535  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Are you Rich from Gambling? on: August 31, 2016, 12:26:32 AM
There are only a few people who have a got a large amount of money from gambling while a large amount of people often lose at there , and I am still not in the list of those people who have been rick with gambling.
i think these will be some exceptional case, but majority of people are loosing money in gambling therefore it is very difficult to say that one has become rich from gambling, i personally not rich from gambling although i am playing gambling for a long time still i never make a remarkable money from gambling.
We actually ever seen who won in gambling tournament or hit jackpot and they get big amount of profits, so of course there are some people who get rich by gambling. But, what the standard to say someone is rich? if he got 100btc? I thought it depending on how we manage our money to create some source of income, if you ever win on gambling but always come back to do it and get so many losses even 100btc will be vanish.
1536  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin's alternative. on: August 30, 2016, 03:24:05 PM
Bitcoin is the best cryptocurrency at the moment and I don't see any altcoin that is better nowadays. But the alternatives to bitcoin are litecoin and dogecoin that can be a secondary option.

i agree but now the two of coins is really down and needed to support so the coin will be raise like other coins. and actually, there are no bitcoin alternative. and this is why bitcoin is more famous, because until now, not much coins that give easy way to exchange into fiat like bitcoins.

we can't compare anything with bitcoins Because its first and best digital coin and price is also too high when compare with any altcoins and doge is next emerging coin but price is low when you compare with bitcoin.

There are many coin alternative but can't replace the position of bitcoin, it has strong base and good price, as we can see it keep increasing every year and has many user worldwide.

1538  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Why is gambling so addicting? on: August 29, 2016, 09:38:10 PM
There are many reasons why people get addicted to gambling, some are here just for adrenaline, others think they will get profit if they will continue playing. Second type is worst, these people can easily lose all their money and fall into debt just to gamble more.

Yes, right. levels in gambling addiction is different each person. What's worse if people gamble to sell goods or indebted to someone, it is not very good and could be detrimental. People who are addicted to gambling because they believe that gambling they can benefit from gambling and they think should win. So that they will bet continuously until losing a lot of bets.

Gambling is addictive of course due to its entertaining and a lot of people do it for fun although they expect to get some profits. I agree there are some people with high level addicted ruin their life and fall into debt, they thought could pay it and become rich if hit jackpot but the chances are small. Loses is a risk on gambling, be ready to deal with it, only bet with amount you can afford to lose and know when to stop.
1539  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Traditional Gambling or Online Gambling? What's yours? on: August 29, 2016, 02:07:39 PM
I prefer online gambling because of the benefits and flexibility with ease it provides. Bitcoin made online gambling much safer and anonymous which make me assure my privacy has no issue. I was avoiding before too to visit traditional gambling places to place bets. Online gambling has just start with digital currencies and will be practiced much more.
yeah, online gambling with bitcoin give some advantages than traditional gambling, just like flexible (can do it at home or on smartphone), anonymous, can start with small amount of btc and easier in my country since gambling is illegal and there are many people do it online. But, we should try traditional gambling too, its more tense and exciting to do.
1540  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What is your gambling strategy on: August 27, 2016, 02:13:48 PM
I do research on teams/players before sports start, I am a specialist of sports betting. Additionally, I am good at poker
Well did you win after you research? if you win then I guess you are a good analyzer.
I also think that you know how to handle yourself. Because some addicted person are not searching before betting in a game they just bet and bet until their money had all gone.
That's true, we need to do some research and analyze in sports betting, experiences and knowledge are the most important thing to be expert in gambling likes poker or black jack. Control your self and know when to stop to avoid loss so much.
