1521  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Top coins to have in my portfolio? on: September 14, 2019, 05:38:20 AM
BTC no need to explain, LTC and ETH are my favorites, BNB has recently grown very much and now ranks first in the my portfolio.
BNB recently fell in price to $ 20. And now, many cryptocurrency market experts recommend buying a BNB and selling it up to $ 27.
I supported what you said since the BNB coin seems to be gaining the attention of some crypto investors these days and seize the opportunity of altcoin downtrend by buying BNB for a quick profit its a good decision but this advice is only applicable to crypto traders or investors which have already understand what crypto investment entails or else it better to invest in bitcoin.

1522  Economy / Economics / Re: China launching its own crypto currency ? on: September 13, 2019, 11:45:13 PM
China is all set to launch its own crypto currency for more than 1 billion of its population how will it effect the crypto market ?

Only citizen's of China will benefit to it and I don't think it can be used outside the country or used for trading. If it can't be used globally then it won't affect the crypto market. Their own cryptocurrency is centralized just like facebook's libra coin so ethereum and bitcoin will still remain the top cryptocurrencies for me.

More info about China's own crypto currency here: https://www.forbes.com/sites/rogerhuang/2019/08/14/chinas-digital-currency-is-unlikely-to-be-a-cryptocurrency/#3fcfdd036a52

Scary times for Chinese citizens. At first they might not realize that with how used they are to platforms such as WeChat and AliPay, but they're definitely going to notice when people are being censored when sending money to recipients the government doesn't like. Another thing is that they can easily analyze your spending behavior to either sell it to third parties or abuse it themselves.

People in China should do everything they can to buy themselves as many Bitcoins as possible locally while physical cash is still a thing. Bitcoin will be the only bit of financial freedom that they have left.

As for the impact on crypto, I think it will be negligible at first, but may prevent future adoption from Chinese citizens if every single mainstream exchange ends up on their blacklist.

China’s crypto currency won’t have any immediate effect on the crypto market, because their crypto will be a centralised one and the Chinese people may even reject this crypto. However in the long run if their government withdraws cash and forces them to use their centralised coins only then crypto market may be effected. @1Referee you’re absolutely correct with your analysis that the Chinese government intends to keep complete tabs where their citizens are spending their money, and this wont bode well for the Chinese citizens.

I'm sure the crypto that will be create by the Chinese government will be centralized but I'm not sure if one of the purpose of the Chinese government creating their own crypto was to tab their citizens as you and 1Referee believe because the IMF boss have once advised all governments/central banks to create their own national cryptocurrency.
With that been said, the only effect the Chinese crypto will cause is more legalization of crypto and another government creating their own national cryptocurrency.

Spain goes to finals! but still what a nice game for Australia who brought a tremendous tough fight for Spain.

Full-time: Spain 95-88 Australia

Ay, ay, ay! What a tense and tumultuous game of basketball!

When it mattered most it was the European powerhouses who stepped up a gear. Marc Gasol. What a player.

And Australia’s winning run is over - Spain go through to the gold-medal game of the 2019 Basketball World Cup!

https://www.theguardian.com/sport/live/2019/sep/13/fiba-basketball-world-cup-2019-semi-final-spain-v-australia-live
Honestly, I respect Australia because they really played a wonderful game against Spain but Spain was able to handle the game till the end. With that been said, I never expect the Argentine would beat France due to the level they handle to the USA when they met them at the quarter-final like I said a couple of days this year tournament is full of surprises.
1524  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling Money is Dirty Money on: September 13, 2019, 12:25:33 AM

I don't see it as something which is old fashioned as the religion (Christian and Muslim) is concern, gambling fund are dirty money but in a society where the economic is break down and alot of people are jobless. People consider gambling or working at a gambling company as a means of surviving which the reason why a lot of young folks are into sport gambling these days but its still better than stealing.
1525  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: FIBA Basketball World Cup 2019 on: September 12, 2019, 11:00:14 PM
I lose my live bet in the US vs Serbia match, I put a like bet at US ML during the break because I thought they will be able to continue their momentum in the 2nd half, but I was wrong, they are still the same weak team I saw when they played against France, bad bet. Embarrassed
Honestly, choosing the USA as a winner of any game in this tournament doesn't seem right because they have already lost their chance of proceeding to the semi-final and they have already qualified for the Olympic game so I wouldn't be surprised if they turn out to be weak in other to pave for another team to qualify for the Olympic game.
1526  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: FIBA Basketball World Cup 2019 on: September 12, 2019, 09:13:44 PM
My prediction for semi-final matches is victory of Argentina and Australia.
I watched both Argentina vs Serbia and United States vs France. However France did a great job and defeated the defending champions, United States, I expect they lose to Argentina.
Argentina has won all the previous matches by at least 10 points and I think they will remain undefeated and will qualify for the Final.
Also, Australia will overcome Spain. Spain performance has not been as good as I expected. They had some difficult wins even in the first group stage. Australia will win Spain and will face Argentina at the final.

I have both teams opposing them to be winning the semi-final round. Argentina might be leading by 10 points against all of their matches but it doesn't prove anything that France whom just defeated the USA team can be defeated by them also. They are a talented team but their only former NBA talent right now is Luis Scola who will be matched against Rudy Gobert which I don't think he will score easily over him. Australia although having more NBA players in the team cannot top the star players of Spain in the Euroleague have so I am leaning towards them winning this round.
Never say never because strange and marvel things are happening these days in the FIBA tournament. Mind you, all qualified team didn't come to China to play but to make an impact/win the trophy. But, I expect France and Spain to proceed to the final stage of the tournament which is my prediction.

~snip~
1. Your country?
2. Are you able to transfer funds to your friend's checking account?
3. Have you tried contacting your bank's support team? What they have to say?
4. Apart from Coinbase, what other crypto companies you have tried to transfer funds?
^ These are the right stuff that we should know before we are helping OP and I think he's not being serious of what he ask because OP did not online after this thread posted. Maybe your country has been prohibited bitcoin or any other related to crypto currencies so that you can't buy bitcoin because in other countries there is no problem with buying it. That is the reason I know why you can't buy bitcoin. Nevertheless, We can help if we will know where is your exact location. Or you can purchase Bitcoin by searching google in your Local exchange that has connected with the bank.
His account was registered the same day he created this thread but I believed there's something he's not telling us about the whole situation cause he might have broken one of the exchange rule and regulation. However, the last time I checked coinbase is one of the top crypto exchange sites and they have the support that is ready to respond to every customer claim.
1529  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: With Bitcoin, a future is not clear on: September 12, 2019, 04:57:23 PM
After researching the news sources, I decided to pledge my land and houses worth $ 40000. I use it to buy 4 Bitcoin
I will rent a small apartment with my family
I'm happy now
I believe that the BTC will increase to $ 20k next year.
Firstly, the topic you used for this thread is a little confusing because you actually believe bitcoin investing in bitcoin this year will bring you a huge profit next year May which you did invest in it and that's a good decision but you selling your land and houses in other to invest is something I don't think is appropriate due to the risk involved.
1530  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: FIBA Basketball World Cup 2019 on: September 10, 2019, 09:13:58 PM
This year FIBA tournament is full of surprises because sometimes the team ones least expected turn out to be the winner of the game but I'm sure today's quarter-final is a loss for the Argentine.
You can't be sure, Serbia is still one of the best tea in the FIBA per ranking but they loss one game already, so this means they aren't unbeatable.
This is a quarter finals where we will see a more intense game and I don't think the Argentine will just give up easily here already Serbians are have one of the best players in the NBA.

We have to remember, Giannis and his team failed to qualify to this round and they were one of the favorites to win this competition, so we never know what would really happen, let's just put our bet here.
The Serbians do have one of the best players in the NBA but I don't say they are uneaten or the best team. I only predicted them to win today's game which they loose to the Argentine.

I am really surprised that Serbia lost the second game in this championship in the short run and that after a very convincing start, they now lost all chances of winning a medal and playing a grand final with America.
There were even expectations that they were the only ones who could surprise America and beat them.
What a twist.
Can any of the remaining teams surprise America and beat them?
It heartbreaking cause I expected them to win the game against the Argentine but the Argentine prove they are experienced despite the fact that they don't have any player in the NBA and I really respect how Campazzo played today.

My prediction for tomorrow game
USA vs FRA : USA win
AUS vs CZE : AUS win

1531  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Peter Brandt: 99% of Altcoins Will Be Forgotten in Five Years on: September 10, 2019, 06:42:48 PM
To say that almost all of the altocines will be forgotten within five years seems to me to be very optimistic: in reality, they will probably be within five months (and many within five weeks ...).
We only hope that some of those we have invested in will be saved

This is very true, I have seen so many failed IEO and ICO project lately and not even in 2 months.
after considering everything else, I think it should be fine if we are saying 99.99% of altcoins will be forgotten in five years because of this.

99.99 is a strong exaggeration. I think that the number of 80 percent is a truly a good assumption. there are many good projects that the world cryptocurrency will be needed
Exaggeration? With all the credit/merit he earned through his previous work (books, prediction etc) people like Peter Brandt won't joke or exaggerate in this kind of situations.
Mind you, his above statement about 99.9% altcoin been forgotten is totally truth but tricky though because in the next 5years there will be few BTC left before we reach the total 21Million coin to be mined most crypto enthusiasts, investors, miners, traders etc will drift to BTC to accumulate more of it before all the 21Million coins are mine during this moment most altcoin will be slightly forgotten which is what Peter is trying to point and I believe he make the statement in a tricky way just to caught our attentions which he has already did.
Hmm. I wonder how you're able to figure that out but you're absolutely right about crypto investors investing most of their fund in Bitcoin next 5years.
This caught me off guard and i should have know that people with great knowledge like Peter Brandt can be tricky sometimes.
It's too late to invest in Bitcoin, because the real dominance of Bitcoin is almost 80%. I think that this is a very high indicator and today it is better to invest in Altcoins.
I don't know where you get the impression that it too late to invest in Bitcoin because of the Bitcoin current dominance level cause the last time I checked Bitcoin was $10,244 per coin in the market, it last ATH price was $20,000 and it will claim another new ATH next year which would be between $30,000-$45,000 price range.
Does it still look like it too late to accumulate some Bitcoin?

1533  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ethereum SCAM? on: September 10, 2019, 03:09:33 PM
Bitcoin is first and its still a Chinese scam
This is a long opened thread and I don't think you read the OP to be aware the reason why the OP think ETH is a scam project while his claimed are baseless. However, I will be glad if you can explain what you really mean.

That Ethereum keep  experiencing  the bear market does not mean it is a scam project or altcoin, several issues is attached to the price reduction, the IEO development in 2019 which reduce the use of ETH and also the long bearish market trend for BTC  is a major determining factor. Ethereum is not a scam it has a strong development backing it up.
I don't consider it a fraud. Despite the many shortcomings, we see that the project is developing, I would still like them to comply with the deadlines.
Even with the shortcomings you mentioned which I don't understand the aspect you mean ETH is not a fraud project and it the first crypto project that give the crypto community what they wanted but that doesn't make them a super man that will always be there or meet all our demand.
Give them time and they figure everything out.
1534  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: FIBA Basketball World Cup 2019 on: September 10, 2019, 04:13:07 AM
Congratulations to all the GRE, NZL, AUS, GER and the US fans for todays winning and tomorrow is the quarter-final of the FIBA 2019 game with my prediction.
1) Argentina vs Serbia @ Dongguan Basketball Center; Serbia is to win
2) Spain vs Poland @ Shanghai Oriental Sports Center; Spain is to win

I'll go the same with your prediction.
Spain and Serbia and both heavy favorites in this game, they are -15.5 and -11.5 respectively, so I can say that can win this game easily.
I like Spain and Serbia to advance so they will both have a chance to face the USA and whichever team will face the USA, I will support them against USA.

Both teams have the capabilities to be a strong competitive against the team US, this two opposing teams are promising  to show a good fight against whoever will be the opponent, though upsets can still happen and there's no assurance which one from the league have the edge against another, good luck everyone.
That's correct the two team poses the ability to be the winner of this year game and this is why I choose the above countries as the winning of today's game base on their previous performances.

We have Argentina vs Serbia today. A few days back, no one would have even considered a possibility of a team such as Argentina upsetting Serbia. But after their meek surrender to Spain, Serbia is looking very vulnerable. And the betting odds also reflect this possibility. An upset still looks very unlikely, but we can't completely exclude that possibility today. Here are the betting odds:

Cloudbet.com: Argentina at +11.5 (1.83) & 6.2/1
sportsbook.ag: Argentina at +11.5 (110)
Oddschecker: Argentina 6/1

This year FIBA tournament is full of surprises because sometimes the team ones least expected turn out to be the winner of the game but I'm sure today's quarter-final is a loss for the Argentine.

Everyone stating that gambling will affect someone's image in the society so this is actually happened with you?

For me it happened once why are you gambling its a sin in our life I replied its my wish I can do what ever I wanted.
Gambling hasn't affected my personal reputation and thought because I only gamble online, I understand the disadvantage involved, I also understand the rules and regulation about how to gamble profitable and I only gamble for fun when during my spare time.
Note: We can't all be a gambler and people who are affected are those who don't understand how well they can handle their buzz and lost when gambling.

1537  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: What will happen to alts if Bitcoin crashes back to $5000? on: September 09, 2019, 03:47:12 PM
I don't think many alts would recover against Bitcoin if this happens and so they will crash even more. Some solid alts with good liquidity like Litecoin may recover but most won't recover in my opinion. Thoughts?
Your presumption about many altcoins not recovering is correct and  Peter Brandt also confirms it but altcoin having good liquidity won't be the reason for any altcoin to escape been vaporized in the market cause utilize, concept, outstanding features, and working product play a huge role in making altcoin thrive.

I think the price of bitcoin will be much higher over time, crashes back prices will return above $ 5000.we see that in reality bitcoin again there are positive moves just a few altcoins that fall, opportunities like this can be your opportunity to invest in taking profits in the future
An altcoin that falls in price could be an opportunity for investors to invest and make a huge profit but investors must not ignore the consequences cause altcoin market are highly manipulated and before investing into an altcoin that currently falls in price ones must invest in a coin that will surely thrive in the future.

1538  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Almost all the altcoins in red again! on: September 09, 2019, 02:46:22 PM
although it is red, but we can see some movements from the market. this is better than a market that is just silent. if we want to make a profit now we have to take advantage of the situation and make strategies for our investment and trading.
You totally make a good point but I hate the aspect of people complaining about the market been downtrend whereas it will literally create a new opportunity of making an awesome profit and every profitable business or investment must accept debt to strengthen and give the investors more knowledge.
1539  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: China Urges Philippines to Ban All Online Gambling! on: September 08, 2019, 08:38:10 PM
Why is China trying to control the Philippines in general? Not to mention, the lands that they have taken so far in the Philippines lol. Now this online gambling thing. But you can't erase the mentality of Filipinos to be fond in gambling. And, Chinese? Some of these sites were owned by them? Is there president ready to dump them?
I believe their government are too strict and forget the laws that applied to their country and citizens concern gambling was not valid to the Philippines.
Some of the site will definitely be owned by some China citizen since some of them moved to Philippine to play or work for the POGO company.
1540  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Antiviruses on: September 08, 2019, 06:18:19 PM
Kaspersky is much more better and  I love this one. I have been using that one as well.
I think most of these antiviruses are just deceiving us and claiming they are catching viruses for us meanwhile they are not, if you use Kaspersky today and it tells you that your system is free of virus, uninstall it and install avast, you will see that avast will detect a virus for you.

The only one that I have seen that has been quite very effective for me and not even as expensive as all these other ones that I mentioned is total 360, I think this one was specifically designed for those string and stubborn virus that can steal our information from us and probably use it to steal our money if the information can lead to money theft. If I am therefore to recommend any antivirus to anyone, I think it would be total 360, you guys can try that one out and see its effectiveness.
I never use the total 360 antiviruses before but I don't know where you get the information you said about Kaspersky antivirus because I used on my phone and I never had issues. Besides, it detected harmful app which somehow auto-install themselves on phone and told me to remove it.
In addition, I could remember that Kaspersky was mentioned as the best antivirus last year.
