@ChiBitCTy. This is good news and it appears the Ravens had the contract extension in their desk ready to be shown to Lamar on draft day hehehe. The team might have thought Lamar could be forced to agree to sign the previous offer hehe. I reckon this new contract will reawaken Lamar 2019 hehehehe.

In any case, I am sorry. The Texans drafted Will Anderson. They have been aggressive in this draft trading for the 3rd pick to draft him. The also drafted quarterback CJ Stroud on the 2nd pick. It appears after Deshaun Watson the Texans are taking this next season more serious?

Well the Bears getting Will Anderson was a pipe dream anyhow.  What a first round draft though overall. I didn’t expect for the Bears to get their chance at Jalen Carter and end up trading down the pick one spot (gaining a future fourth rounder) in order to land Darnell Wright.  Some believed Carter to be the best player in the draft, but he came with baggage, so I guess the Bears going with a bit safer of a pick and still a position of great need was the right call.

The Lions taking a RB at 12 was just crazy.
1522  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: April 27, 2023, 11:08:56 PM
Just awesome seeing the Miami Heat taking out the Milwaukee Brewers, I mean who expected that.  I didn't expect the Knicks to win their game either and had put a small bet down on that game , but of course walked away with a slightly lighter wallet.  I was going to lay a bet on the La Lakers vs Memphis game but decided against which I'm glad, as I'm just not sure that I'm sure where the series is heading anymore.

As much as I hate to say it since I don't like them, that was a nice win for the Warriors last night.
1523  Economy / Economics / Re: Why do people stay poor? on: April 27, 2023, 10:59:27 PM
This is actually a topic that a good friend and I will discuss (often when one of us has hours to drive being on business or whatever) from time to time.  The main reason that people stay poor is because when growing up poor people are often uneducated (there's always exceptions !!!!) and they don't realize that there are outlets out there to help themselves.  Social welfare type services that many governments offer.  So the issue is often about uneducated people that keep having children in poverty stricken circumstances and the cycle of unawareness, bad habit's and living poor continue on, with someone getting out here and there, but typically not that often.
1524  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: PayPal Vs Bitcoin: Who is the Big Guy? on: April 27, 2023, 10:54:17 PM
PayPal is the exact type of legal criminal scamming operation that made me fall in love with bitcoin in the first place.  I discovered bitcoin after having worked in the financial industry for some years.  I saw first hand how corrupt payment companies were such as Chase bank and outlets like PayPal.  PayPal are scammers. They have their own agenda and will constantly shut down accounts for no good reason.  Now to be fare, so does exchanges like Coinbase (which I call the PayPal of crypto). Thankfully you aren't forced to use either one.  But they can take their censorings bullshit elsewhere.
1525  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The madness of gambling addicts. on: April 27, 2023, 10:49:50 PM
I just got done reading that article, I thought it was pretty funny that they caught him just a bit later that night after having kidnapped his granddaughter. From the sounds of it, basing it off of the things he was saying to the police officers, just sounds like the guy has got a whole lot of mental health issues.  Sadly there's really not that much people can do when it comes to helping people with these types of issues.
1526  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🏈🏈 The American Football Discussion Thread 🏈🏈 on: April 27, 2023, 10:44:29 PM
@ChiBitCTy. My hope is the Panthers make their pick on quarterback Bryce Young a certainty before the draft begins. This would imply that the Texans, another team that wants Bryce, can use their no.2 pick on the first round to bargain a trade for Lamar Jackson heheheh.

Well Lamar Jackson isn't going anywhere "The 2019 NFL MVP and the Baltimore Ravens have agreed to a five-year contract extension worth a reported $260 million, and $185 million is reportedly guaranteed.

The deal now makes Jackson the highest-paid player in the NFL based on annual average value at $52 million, topping Jalen Hurts' $51 million. Hurts inked his $255 million extension with the Philadelphia Eagles earlier this offseason" https://www.foxnews.com/sports/ravens-lamar-jackson-agree-to-5-year-contract-extension

I think there's no question Bryce Young goes to the Panther's at the top spot, but there are questions about the Texans possibly trading down and trying to tank for next year where the top QB prospect is bigger than any of these guys here this year.

Really hoping the Bears can magically get Will Anderson tonight.
1527  Economy / Economics / Re: The Biggest Financial Regrets on: April 26, 2023, 10:47:38 PM
Working in finance, and I'm currently heading up my states retirement plan program, so I've go over 63,000 participants who come to me for financial help at any point in time.  The biggest thing I see with my clients is they don't invest enough early on, they have unrealistic expectations, and often they are investing properly.

The biggest regret most people have is not meeting with someone knowledgeable that can help them out soon enough. I can't tell you how many clients I speak with in their 50's and 60's who have no or next to no savings at all.

I've never heard a client tell me that they've saved too much.  Keep this in mind!
1528  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Advise to a friend on: April 26, 2023, 10:43:48 PM
The truth is neither of you have any idea what you're doing and should educate yourselves before you keep investing poorly.  I'm a broken record on this site, but I am a licensed financial advisor and I hear stories like this every day.  You "advising" your friend to put 40% of his wealth in bitcoin is ridiculous.  Did you do a full financial plan for him? Do you know how much he's saving for retirement?  How old is he, and is he on track to meet his retirement goals based on his age, his family/wife/children situation?  What are all of his other investments and how much does he have in them?

I am amazed and how people will just listen to anyone about their finances.  Neither of you should be giving or taking advice from people who aren't qualified to do so.
1529  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🏈🏈 The American Football Discussion Thread 🏈🏈 on: April 26, 2023, 10:39:08 PM
The draft begins next thursday and it appears that there might be a possibility that the Texans might trade for Lamar for their 2nd pick on the first round. The Texans are clearly searching for a replacement for Massage Watson.

@Hueristic. You know you are addicted to football when you are annoyed and think that Fox is conspiring against XFL hehehhehehee.

Can't wait for the draft tomorrow! It would have of course been much for exciting if my Chicago Bears still had their first round , first selection pick, but I am plenty happy with the compensation we got back from trading that pick, and still have the number  nine pick.

Who's your guys' favorite teams and who do you hope gets draft??

Boy oh boy for the first time in twenty something years the Green Bay Packers don't have a mega-star Hall of Famer at the helm and I for one could not be happier.  Good riddance and have fun in New York, you belong there Aaron! Smiley
1530  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you agree with ChatGPT on the club that might win the premier League? on: April 26, 2023, 10:32:03 PM
No I sure as shit don't, nor would I agree with ChapGPT on any sort of gambling advice, why should I?  It still amazes me that so many people really think that ChatGPT is legitimate Artificial Intelligence.  Legitimate Artificial Intelligence is AGI/Artificial General Intelligence.  This is what true AI is.  This is why AI becomes self learning/smart that the humans whom built it.

Right now ChatGPT is producing any artificial data, it's all coming from man-made databases as well as it included built in man made biases.
1531  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: April 26, 2023, 10:28:42 PM
Nice lineup of games tonight.  I'm most looking forward to the Miami Heat vs Milwaukee Bucks game.  Even though I'm a Chicago Bulls fan and got to witness the great uprising of Jimmy Butler, it's been amazing to see how good he's done since leaving and continue to do without another super star player around him.

Also looking forward to the LA Laker versus Memphis Grizz game tonight.  I think the Laker are going to close out that series, or I guess I should say I just hope they do.
1532  Economy / Economics / Re: What do you think of gold price in long term? on: April 25, 2023, 11:50:14 PM
I personally think that people should still use and consider gold as nothing more than a hedge asset ( when its in its physical form), and not something to use to make money off of.  That being said, we are mining the ever living shit out of silver and gold and all other sorts of metals and precious metals, and we are getting to a point where it's going to be much harder to dig deep down like we'd have to to get gold.

I think that eventually, and I have no idea when, but eventually gold will double in value.
1533  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Gas station payment with bitcoin. on: April 25, 2023, 11:47:53 PM
Well first off I want to say I love this idea, and if I were a business owner I would be doing the same thing in making sure that my customers have both options of both a traditional fiat source of payment (typically credit cards here) as well as having bitcoin be an option.

However I'm a bit confused by this sentence .." So many of my customers and youths mostly is interested to make payment with bitcoin".. so you're saying they have been asking for this to implemented for some time?
1534  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Why we should play on minor gambling platform? on: April 25, 2023, 11:44:11 PM
Personally I'm only using platforms that have been around for some time, and of course those that have a very good reputation or are very well known in mainstream.  However if someone does choose to use a smaller lesser known casino, then as long as you are able to withdraw your money out quickly, it's probably not as big of a deal.  That's why withdraw times/speeds are so important to me.
1535  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Politicians behind the development of gambling platform on: April 25, 2023, 11:40:49 PM
Politicians should not be involved directly in any sort of gambling company.  First off, a politician shouldn't have enough time to be doing extra stuff like that outside of his job which is to serve the people.  Politicians get way too many freedoms when it comes to stuff like this.

In the United States, when a president owns a company(s) they are supposed to pass the management duties on to someone else until they are out of office (whether this actually happens or not is debatable) and that should apply here in my opinion.
1536  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: April 25, 2023, 11:37:44 PM
This could end up being an incredibly boring night.  I predict one of these teams comes out and straight wins on the road as dogs.  I'm hoping at least.  Otherwise going to be some lean nights with no games.  I'd like to see one of these series go longer than 5 games.  Been some good games but terrible series.  All blowout series.

I agree, with got three games where each series has a 3-1 lead, and I of course think there's always a chance for any of these teams to win tonight, but I don't see any of them making any sort of come back in this series.  The Lakers and Heat series are the two that I'm most interested in now personally.  Just because I want to see the Lakers do well and I love see my ex Bulls boy Jimmy Buckets just balling his ass off.  I can't for for the game tomorrow.
1537  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is $30 dollars worth starting bitcoin? on: April 25, 2023, 03:00:50 AM
I for the love of me couldn't understand anything you said in this post.  I know English is not your first language, but this doesn't make a lick of sense.

Now what you're probably trying to ask is it worth putting even a very small amounts of bitcoin and the answer is YES. But he better have other more traditional investments in his portfolio.  You need to have a foundation of typical stuff (savings account, retirement plan, brokerage account etc) then for more risky "investments' which bitcoin is not an investment my nature.
1538  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: It's on! 2024 US Presidential Election Biden+Harris Vs Trump Bitcoin betting.... on: April 25, 2023, 02:55:10 AM
Allegedly they were not going to go after Trump, because there was not precedent of a President or a former president being charged with a crime and any state or federal prosecutor could feel intimidated by going down on history for being the person who decided to do so.

The message the Prosecutors from NYC want to give to the rest of the states where Trump is under investigation is that no one is above the law. It is kind of a breaking point that was supposed to happen, so people leading the most serious investigation won't be afraid anymore of the historical matters of going after him first.  Let us see how that plays out, though.
And the thing is that if NYC does it first, then maybe the other few will be remembered but after that it would become ordinary. Like the 17th state to open an investigation to him won't be remembered at all, nobody would know that, but if you are the first then you will be remembered and maybe the second and third could be and I doubt even that much. So all in all NYC basically said the other states "I got this, let me take the heat about it, so you can do it easier" and now anyone else can.

The point also is that Trump may get banned on begin elected there, not saying he will be but there is a chance, anyone who loses ALL of New York's power, will not be elected, no matter where else they can get the votes from hence it is definitely a "you are not going to be the nominee" move for sure.

I don't think they will go as far as isolating Mr.Trump from national politics in that articial way. Even if they wanted to, that would only bring social unrest and even more political crisis to Republican party.
His supporters are already saying these investigations are unlawful and targeted against a political candidate. Pushing further enough could unleash more violence.

Also, Mr. Trump was always unpopular in New York city so, I do not think that state has an important role in the future of his presidential campaign, it is a blue state and does not have as many electoral colleges as California or Texas.
In politics the opposition is always looking for something that they can use to bring down the opposition candidate is very strong to bring them down. Just like in my country, the incumbent Parry is looking for all means to deal with the opposition parties. So Trump should also be prepared to face such challenges. Trump has been accused of different  types of accusations because they know he is the only candidate that defeat the opposition party if only free and fair election is conduct ed.

"Trump has been accused of different  types of accusations because they know he is the only candidate that defeat the opposition party if only free and fair election is conduct ed".  No, this is not true.  As someone whom lives in the United States, there are people Like Ron DeSantis who absolutely would have a shot against Biden.

I'm not placing any bets on this yet.. to hard to tell what's what at this moment.  Personally I wish we could get new candidates across the board.  Anyhow, as soon as both parties picks are locked it, my bet will be placed.
1539  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2020-2021 betting on: April 25, 2023, 02:51:00 AM
Nuggets will surely have a sweep
They didn't. They lost yesterday.
and I am expecting Lakers to get 3-1 ahead as well.
This will be a task that needs hard work. We saw how Ja Morant can easily find his rhythm in the last 5 minutes of the game when he created his own 19 points consecutive run all by himself.
Anthony must play consistently which means the same as Games 1 and 3. 20+ points and 15+ rebounds. The defense should also be like Game 3 where he protected the rim a lot of times from those who would try to attack the paint. Another key to winning the game is to not let Desmond Bane create havoc early because that guy can get hot as fast as he could. Whoever is defending him last time must keep it up. Vanderbilt or Reaves.

Giannis is playing guys.
Quote
ESPN Sources: Milwaukee star Giannis Antekounmpo (lower back) is set to return to the lineup vs. Miami in Game 4 tonight. He warmed up on the court pregame  and feels ready to return after missing Games 2 and 3.
https://twitter.com/wojespn/status/1650621393124327426?s=20
Miami Heat versus Milwaukee Bucks - Milwaukee Bucks (-6.5)
With Giannis around they can go back to spreading the floor more and wait for the kick out pass that will be received from Giannis. And him being back on the lineup might surprise the Miami Heat so I will take the Bucks now.

Los Angeles Lakers versus Memphis Grizzlies - Los Angeles Lakers (-4.5) I have not seen them play that hard in the season and that Game 3 game showed there is still room for them to be a better team. Preventing the Grizzlies to score just 9 points in the first quarter was really amazing.

I feel like I'm beating the same thing over but the Lakers should have put the choke hold on them.  Tonight the game won't start as bad as it did for the Grizzlies as the other day.  I'm expecting a good game but a new sense of urgency from Memphis.  If they win tonight they have home court advantage in what effectively will be a best of 3 series.

I put my money down on the Laker at -4.5.  I just feel like Lebron and AD both healthy is going to be too much for Ja and crew.  Plus I'm king of being a homer with the Lakers this post-season as I know Lebrons days are numbered when it comes to playing, and especially playing at a high level.

They are up 10 points right now on Grizzlies, but of course we've got a lot of game left to play.  Was a long day at work, going to be difficult to stay up for this one lol
1540  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: April 25, 2023, 02:45:14 AM
Wow! What a display of his skills from Jimmy "Buckets" Butler.
It felt like I was watching the Eastern Conference Finals. This is the Butler that I cannot forget during the bubble when he was going head-to-head against Lebron James. Sadly, at that time he was too exhausted to continue his awesome performance and the Lakers still won it.
But today, they put the number 1 seed, Milwaukee Bucks, on the brink of losing the series at 3-1. 56 points for Butler who played 41 minutes, there's a slight look of fatigue but the energy that was given by the Miami Heat fans did help.

Now, how will the Milwaukee Bucks adjust to this situation? It will be back at their home which is a must-win, but after that, White Hot Miami will be waiting and will not be stopped from helping their players to play like this again.

Jimmy Buckets seems to turn on another gear when it comes to playoff time.  Like you said during the bubble he was unreal. I mean 56 points 9 Rebounds and 2 assists, against the number one ranked team coming in to the the basketball in to these playoffs.  As a Chicago Bulls fan I'd love to see him get a championship.  Over course I'd like to have seen him get it with the Bulls more so lol.

Great game with LA and Memphis right now.  Though La Lakers seem to be trying to pull away a bit.
