1521  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will we ever see bitcoin lower than 1000$? on: July 02, 2017, 12:30:29 AM
It doesn't seems that it will get lower than 1000$, however there is no confirmation of the price in the future due to the volatile characteristic of bitcoin. It is expected that it will kept on increasing this year in the upcoming months.

It will be keeping on increasing but after the Month of August. We all know many people are being scared on what this month can do with their investments, but I don't think it will be flopping under $1000, not even on $1000, It will stay at $2000 because we all know how people want to invest and earn profit on bitcoin.
The price is not going to get that low and if it did it would be the opportunity of a lifetime if it happens then I will put a significant amount of my fiat in bitcoin since I have no doubts the price will recover at some point, maybe not in a few months but after a pair of years it will.
1522  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: We can't buy something with Bitcoin quickly on: July 01, 2017, 07:33:34 AM
You can use bitcoin to buy a wide variety of items directly for bitcoin, and everything indirectly through exchanges and buying Gift Cards and reward accounts from Gyft, Hence can actually buy everything from Walmart to Amazon indirectly.
The problematic being discussed in the thread is not about the range of goods you can get with bitcoin, which is very wide, it is the speed at which you can do so, while buying something in amazon does not require extreme speed, something as simple as buying a coffee with bitcoin is very slow.
1523  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Where to learn how to trade on: July 01, 2017, 07:30:51 AM
It's much better to learn it by yourself rather than afraid with risk and trying to avoid the risk because wrong action you did could raised your knowledge and maybe you can learn something from your fault, so that's much better and try to avoid that risk again.

Learn it by yourself with seriousness and eagerness to learn.

Actually people don't have to go through a wild and deep study just to learn trades. Just learn the basic knowledge and it will be improved while doing regular trades as part of building trading experience. Like in my case, my first idea of trading was the usual buy low sell high system and thinks that it's an easy thing to do. Then I started my trading experience with lots of loss at first but now improved it and now making continous profit out of the swings. If the person is really eager to learn trades, they will surely learn.
While being willing to learn is essential one of the most important aspects of leaning is the ability to do so, not everyone can be an Einstein, and following that logic then not everyone can be a successful trader, so those that are not capable should look for another activity to perform.
1524  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is Bitcoin Sound Money? on: July 01, 2017, 07:26:32 AM
I think it's still too early to talk about this.
Crypto currency is still too young, but I think it has a great future.
I disagree, gold has been sound money from the beginning, fiat is not sound money from the beginning because governments can print it at will, bitcoin has limited supply and cannot be created at will so to me that makes it sound money from an economic point of view.
I strongly believe that bitcoin is like another currency, it depends on you how you call it, bitcoin is basically a form of money which value is increasing day by day. It also has created a strong ground where people are going to be connected with this system, from my point of view is that since Bitcoin is using as a payment tool in many ways so bitcoin can be considered as a money...

Among private users bitcoin has long been called money. But at the government level, bitcoin is not yet seen as money. It is more like a product, or some other asset that can perform some of the functions that perform the money
It is clear governments don’t want to call bitcoin money, because they are scared of it, but it does not matter if they do not want bitcoin to be money, that is the way people use it, that was the intention of the creator and bitcoin fulfills all the characteristics you will expect from money, so bitcoin is money.
1525  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will people start moving their savings to Bitcoin in case of a financial crash? on: July 01, 2017, 07:23:05 AM
At the moment , I think it's still risk for me to move my all money into bitcoin since bitcoin still consider as risky investment not currency
So my better option still convert my money into gold or other well known investment that have been legalized by goverment
In a financial crises it is better to move your assets to gold and there will be a huge influx of investment in the crypto market as well, the fact remains that there is no other viable options to move your money when there is a economic crises because everything will be affected.
I disagree, there are options, when things go right people prefer soft assets since they can be easily traded, examples cash, certificates of deposits, stocks, but when things get difficult people prefer hard assets like real estate, gold, silver, it will be interesting to know how people are going to consider bitcoin.
1526  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Paying airline tickets with Bitcoin? on: June 29, 2017, 10:37:22 PM
Last I checked, Expedia only accepted bitcoin for hotels (not for airfare).

When I was comparing airfare between the bitcoin sites and expedia, the bitcoin sites charged considerably more for the same flights.  It was much cheaper to sell the bitcoins first and then buy the tickets with USD.

There you go, business are probably trying to protect themselves in a case the value of the bitcoin falls and that is why they charge an higher price, it is a shame, but most of the time it is cheaper to just convert your coins to fiat and pay that way and enjoy the difference as a bonus.
1527  Economy / Marketplace / Re: question on money making guides on: June 29, 2017, 10:31:31 PM
I don't believe much those sellers that claiming the methods as their own but the truth is not, I think they have just got it from the internet shared by generous geek guys maybe on other forums and blogs. There are really lots of them so always make a background research, we can learn by self study.
I think this is correct, many of the methods are not original and it is something they just saw in another forum and they are trying to earn a quick buck, that does not mean the method may not work but since they have not tried the seller will be of no help if you run in trouble.
1528  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Buy more bitcoin or wait for August 1st? on: June 29, 2017, 10:28:54 PM
My advice would be to wait until August 1. You already have significant holdings of Bitcoin and it makes no sense to purchase anymore at this point of time. It is difficult to predict what will happen on August 1. Experts have made all sorts of predictions, with each one wildly differing from the other. It seems to me that even they are not sure about their predictions.
This, the truth is we do not know what it is going to happen until it does and depending on that, the price will do different things so the most sensible thing to do is to wait, however if you feel confident you can buy but if you feel doubtful about what may happen then sell or wait.
1529  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: ALIBABA TO ACCEPT BITCOIN BEFORE AMAZON & OTHERS on: June 29, 2017, 10:25:52 PM

Alibaba should be the next global giant to accept Bitcoin according to 4,500 participants in a survey this week.

52 percent of respondents to the survey by Digital Currency Group creator Barry Silbert believe the Chinese marketplace is next in line to embrace the virtual currency.

Other options included Amazon (31 percent) and Google (12 percent), while only five percent of those answering on Twitter believed Facebook would be the first of the group to get serious about Bitcoin. According to Barry Silbert

At least put a question mark in the title of the thread, it sounds like a confirmation when in fact after reading the op we realize this is nothing but speculation coming from the public it is not like Alibaba has given any statement regarding the acceptance of bitcoin.
1530  Economy / Speculation / Re: Can money flow from crypto into fiat in large amounts? I don't think so. on: June 28, 2017, 11:45:39 PM
The real question is why anyone that became rich in bitcoin and that in his everyday life is not earning much, will want to get out of crypto, it does not make sense, someone may withdraw enough for living expenses and stuff like that but it is probably better to wait for the day crypto is more accepted than to try to cash out.
1531  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What ICO are you watching next? for me BAT, TEZOS and STATUS on: June 28, 2017, 11:41:01 PM
And what's your opinion about True Flips? It's been rated as Stable+.
About Tezos, do you think it's gonna be the next ethereum?

I do not think anycoin can be the next ethereum...just like ethereum is not the next bitcoin. they both have their distinctive features. Meanwhile i will look out for a new coin or technology that does something different or introduce something different. take a look at IOTA. Already listed but highly undervalue in my view. Boscoin is also unique because it is introducing the TrustContract, which is quite advance than the SMartContract. But Tezos does have potential to serve as an alternative to ethereum.

This is key, there is not much of a point in investing in something that can already be done, or that it has been done better, the true value of your investment is going to come up from projects that bring something new to the table and that are not copying something else.
1532  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Is Ethereum a bubble? on: June 28, 2017, 11:35:36 PM
people putting there money into tether until markets calm down smart move by them.
That makes sense, only if they have no intention of cashing out and prefer to keep investing in cryptocurrencies, I suppose that after what happened many new comers probably said, forget about this and have withdraw their money for good.
1533  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Is 1000 btc Possible on: June 28, 2017, 04:45:41 AM
Is it possible to earn 1000 or atleast 100 bitcoins with trading Altcoins. If I buy some bitcoin at cheaper rate today and it's price goes up in future?Which alt you think has potential to make me 1000 btc
It is possible, but the most important part is how much money are you willing to invest to earn that amount of money, if you are not willing to invest at least 10 BTC, my opinion is that you should forget about such big earnings and try to get something a lot smaller.
1534  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: [BREAKING NEWS] Google Bought Blockchain.info on: June 28, 2017, 04:43:49 AM
I really don't think that this is a particularly groundbreaking news, companies all want to gain their ground in the cryptocurrency scene and it is understandable that they want to do so - after all all of us here seem to think that bitcoin is the future.

I just didn't expect that it would be google, which is the #1 site on Alexa by far.
blockchain will never be sold to company i guess. If I am the blockchain why would I sell it if profit double or triple or quadruple every year. Good thing is blockchain had a lot functions and not just bitcoin.

I think you are confusing the blockchain and blockchain.info which is the company in question here.

I think in a way it is, if big companies start to invest in bitcoin and other related crypto then that means the chances for bitcoin to attract big investments it is going to go up and with that the price will skyrocket which will be good news for all of us.
1535  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will we ever see bitcoin lower than 1000$? on: June 28, 2017, 04:41:22 AM
never say never in crypto business lol.

True. We can never know this.

Hard fork on the way and as a result we can see a huge dump in prices of bitcoin. I won't be surprised if we see again $1000.

Thats true, but if that things happen for me that is the best time to buy more bitcoin because i believe it will bounce back and make a new all time high  price. i believe that what ever happens on august will still make bitcoin more powerful than before. Smiley
The problem in the case of a hard fork is, which coin do you buy, the one with the most hash rate or the one supported by the devs? or the one most popular in bitcointalk? It is not as easy as you may think, at that point it would be better to wait.
1536  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can cryptocurrency make real money disappear? on: June 28, 2017, 04:38:58 AM
What are the chances of living in a world with no actual money ?  Shocked

That's a nice day though, where their wouldn't be any cash and people would only used cards or something like that. Seems pretty impossible though making fiat no being used.
It is still considered money even if it's in card form or if you are using modern technology to pay for something. What you might be thinking is a cashless society where no one needs to bring paper money and every transaction would be done digitally, be it online or offline. That day might not come soon enough as paper money is being produced more today.
A cashless society seems impossible to me, there is simply no way to not use cash, in first world countries this may be possible but the standard of living in other countries is not as high so people still need to use cash since they do not have access to bank accounts.
1537  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoins and Bankers on: June 28, 2017, 04:37:02 AM
Bankers can not influence the situation with bitcoin. Bankers can take an unlimited amount of Fiat money, but to have access to bitcoin they can't. Besides who wants to borrow in bitcoins if the price can rise to it. Such a loan can result in bankruptcy.
this is really complicated to differentiate between bitcoin and bankers. I think both have a different aspect, bankers are basically involved in the traditional banking and bitcoin is involved with the virtual area, but in the future, bankers also will deal with bitcoin.
Yea, bankers will have to deal with bitcoin in the future but bankers can not change the situation in bitcoins. Bitcoin is anonymous while banks is not, both of them has a different aspect concerning about the volatility in both areas.
Neither bitcoins or banks are anonymous, banks will require lots of information before they even allow you to even open an account, in bitcoin this is not the case but every single transaction is there for everyone to see, in the other hand banks only allow yourself and the authorities to see your transactions.
But the bitcoin will need the bank to make a gate for the fiat to get into the bitcoin. I think all of the bitcoin users are need bank to do that. The verification of your id to prevent the money laundering and criminalities.
Every bank around the world will do that.
As bitcoin becomes more accepted as a currency around the world then the need to convert your bitcoin to fiat using a bank account will diminish also you can convert your bitcoin to fiat without the use of a bank account by exchanging bitcoin for cash in a face to face trade.

I have seen guys selling cryptocurrency trading courses. Have no idea if it's worth the money or the quality.

You have to wonder, are they making more from selling the course? Smiley

They are making more money selling those courses, do you think they will tell you how to win money in trading if they were able to make as much money as they say they can, if I knew a method to earn a lot of money in trading I will not share it at all.
1540  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: We can't buy something with Bitcoin quickly on: June 27, 2017, 03:01:34 AM
Unless they sort out the high transaction fees, buying coffee or tea with Bitcoin or even a pizza is not even viable until the transaction fees are lowered in some way. I hope this happens or segwit gets activated.
The problem is  not only the high fee, one of the biggest problems is the speed of confirmation, can you imagine to wait for a 10 minutes before getting a confirmation and that is if you pay a high fee if you don’t you could need to wait a few hours after buying your coffee.
