15201  Economy / Services / Re: LEGENDARY MEMBER Offering TRUSTED BITCOIN ESCROW services (NO ACCOUNTS, NO FIAT) on: June 13, 2016, 05:11:48 PM
I am constantly amazed each morning when I awake to some story about how someone sent all their coins to an address that a brand new account with 0 trust or activity sent them because they said it was mine...

Pay attention people.  Do not follow links that other users send you.  Do not send funds to an address other users provide you.  It is your money and your responsibility not to give it away to strangers in the night.
15202  Economy / Auctions / Re: [AUCTION] 1 BTC Casascius Coin (2013 1oz .999 Silver/Silver) on: June 13, 2016, 02:23:39 AM
I would throw a bid out there, but it would be below your starting price.

If interested 1.75BTC

If not disregard my stupid low ball bid.

Am I the only one that prices my premium in USD?  If BTC hits 1k then a $750 premium hardly seems low ball to me

Everyone has their own opinion.  No bids below 2.5 BTC will be valid in this auction.

15204  Economy / Collectibles / Re: [WTS] Stay Nasty Bitcoin T-Shirts (Ron Burgundy meets Guy Fawkes) on: June 12, 2016, 11:51:53 PM
Nice design. Very catchy and attention grabbing and the subtle bitcoin pin is a nice touch.

Cool shirts. Are you shipping them worldwide and is it also available in black color. If so can you please upload a photo of it in black color also ?
Nasty Shirts  Grin

They aren't available in black and the shipping price worldwide is pretty expensive.  I wouldn't recommend it honestly unless you purchase something like one of my Minted Seats also, but then you're talking about a $130 purchase for the shirt/coin.
15205  Economy / Collectibles / [WTS] 10oz .999 Silver NastyFans Minted Seats on: June 12, 2016, 08:07:23 PM
10oz NastyFans Minted Seats!               Also available in 1oz, 2oz & 5oz sizes.

Available now in the NastyShop!

The size of a 10oz coin allowed for a new design on the back.  There is also a version minted in extremely limited quantity (5) with gold highlighting.  I am expecting this to be the final coin in the silver NastyFans Minted Seat Series.

NastyFans Minted Seat Features:
  • Receives & Stores Bitcoin Distributions for 10 NastyFans Seats
  • 10oz .999 Fine Silver
  • 3.5" in Diameter
  • Tamper-Evident Security Hologram
  • Engraved Public & Private Keys
  • Sequential Public Key Vanity Addresses (i.e. 1oNastyx)
  • Limited 50 Coin Production Batch (5 w/ gold highlighting)
  • 50% of Regular Sales Donated to NastyFans
  • Coin Analyzer available at nastyfans.uberbills.com

These coins are similar to physical bitcoins you see from Casascius and others.  I'll highlight a few of the major differences.

First of it's kind!  Coins are tied to NastyFans seats and not preloaded with BTC.  By not preloading these coins with BTC, they are not only cheaper to purchase than their competitors, but the potential is there for the BTC address engraved on the coin to continue rising forever with regular NastyFans BTC distributions, as opposed to being a fixed amount as with similar physical Bitcoin options.  It's like having a Bitcoin miner with no costs or effort to maintain.

No more printed keys!  These keys are engraved, and forever attached to the coin.  A tamper evident hologram is placed over the private key to help alleviate security concerns.

No more firstbits!  Your entire public key is engraved on the coin, eliminating any uncertainty that may exist about your coin's public address.

Sequential vanity Bitcoin addresses!  Know exactly what coin number you hold by the public address.  Each coin begins with 1nasty and is sequentially numbered with the following two characters.

Limited production batch!  Only 50 coins produced (5 with gold highlights).  Being tied to seats instead of BTC also makes these coins extremely limited, as there are a limited # of NastyFans seats.

Revenue sharing!  With 50% of regular sales being donated to NastyFans, this is a giant fundraiser for all NastyFans.  You know your funds are going back to the Bitcoin community and helping to support a great organization that is dedicated to doing good for Bitcoin.  It is my hope that these coins will provide happiness to existing fans, while at the same time exposing NastyFans to a new group of potential members.
15206  Other / Archival / Re: [Auction] Bitcoin Magazine Complete Collection (All 22 Issues) ENDS SUNDAY! on: June 12, 2016, 06:00:33 PM
Curious, has the magazine been discontinued?

A few months back I took the dog for a walk and was surprised to find a free kiosk outside a retail strip mall offering Bitcoin magazines. I took one and it sat on my desk for months. Whenever I went back I never saw another edition. So I'm guessing it is defunct and these are some type of collector's item?

I believe the magazine has been discontinued, but I don't know the details.  These are collector's items and this is my last set.

I will trade some ETHERCOINS?

PM if you like..

Make me an offer...

15210  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: [WTS] Antminer S7 - 162 chip model - 5TH/s @ 625 freq on: June 11, 2016, 08:06:54 AM
is that all they're going for these days? Wow... guess I'll be .46?

The sales I've been seeing lately are in the 0.6-0.8 BTC range, depending on lots of factors (hashrate, quantity, location, etc).  This being a single 5TH/s unit, I'd like to get 0.75 BTC and a shipping label, but am open to accepting a lower offer if there are no buyers out there.

I should also mention that I am in the US.

Doing some short term testing of Bitmain's new Antminer S9 on our NastyPool p2pool node.  You can see the live chart below (click it if it doesn't update).
Any indication of whether the S9 loses hashrate on p2pool, like every non-modded Antminer before?

When I visited Bitmain HQ in December, I talked to two of their engineers about the p2pool performance problems, and pointed them at ckolivas's fixes. It sounded like they intended to do something about it, but I don't know if their intentions were ever translated into actions.

Nope.  I would only be speculating.

15218  Economy / Speculation / Re: Could Bitcoin's market cap stall at $8 billion forever? on: June 09, 2016, 07:31:34 PM
I think a market cap of 8-20 billion is appropriate for the current market ($380-$952 BTC).  I think if paypal/ebay/amazon start accepting it, you could make the case for an 80 billion dollar market cap ($3,800 BTC).  If investors begin to embrace the coming ETF and companies like Walmart start accepting it, you could probably make a case for a 200 billion dollar market cap ($9,500 BTC).  If small countries start using it as their national currency and organizations like OPEC use it to price their products, you could see >400 billion dollar market cap (>$19,000 BTC).  I personally think it will continue to grow until it settles in somewhere around an 80 billion dollar market cap for a while.  My $0.02.

As we waive goodbye to the 8 billion dollar market cap, I think my 2 year old valuations and prediction are still spot on.
