15222  Other / Off-topic / Re: What wallets do you use? on: June 28, 2017, 11:19:16 AM
I only used coins.ph. as what i know its the only  trusted btc wallet  here in philippines.

yes, same here, I'm only using coin.ph

What do you like so much about this purse? I use the simplest blockchain.info. It seems to me that this is also a reliable purse. I've never heard of the fact that coins can steal coins from this purse

Keeping your coins on any online wallet/exchange is not safe, you are not in possession of your private keys(which is most important thing)and online wallets are always at risk to be hacked. Most of users find this way of storing coins easiest, but in terms of security it is on last place.

I use MultiBit before, now I am on Electrum and it is very good desktop wallet, only thing you need to keep coins safe is your seed words. But even desktop wallet can be hacked if there is no some basic security on PC.

Regarding hacking coins from blockchain.info wallet you should read this topic, and if you use search option surely you will find more.

nowadays this is a shame -.-

got this error:
I'm sorry, faucet has reached the daily limit. Please try again later.

but hey this is no protection against bots or cheaters ??

hope you remove this .

regards

Another website which has the same script, tells us limit is reached or insufficient funds, after logging in, and i go no further, you are not like this, you make us go through the process to make a claim, end result is usually no funds, why not say at the beginning, so i don't waste my time?

Oh, I know why you don't, its the adverts.

This faucet is dry for some time,as owner say in his post he was on vacation.Regarding your wasting time on this faucet, you should only check faucet balance and if it is 0 then why you try to claim?

Another thing I notice on this faucet is that after I enter my address and click next, faucet is giving me warning that safety limit is reached,no need to to solve captcha and anti-bot links. Some other faucets give us this warning message and this is nice,we can save some time.

Your thread surely deserves a bump! The most organized faucet list with many different currencies to claim.

I'm enjoying very much the LTC list. You know how to choose the best of them. Just some of them were empty.

There is only something strange, don't know if it's happening only for me: On several faucets when I try to claim for the first time it says "wrong address", when I try again I can claim the reward. Are the faucet owners setting this to make us claim twice and give them traffic for more time?

Thanks for the nice words and your support Smiley

I am checking lists on daily basis, but it is almost impossible to check all-it's always a job that can never be fully completed, when I check all lists then I can start again from the beginning. But in any case I think it is difficult today to find a more accurate list Wink

Regarding wrong address or invalid address,it is already known problem which has cause in CoinTraffic popads in combination with some browsers. For instance I use Opera because is much faster then other browsers and I also have problem with invalid address, but some users say that it works without problem on Firefox.I report that to few faucet owners and they contact CoinTraffic but they do not have solution for this problem.

Only way to save some time is when you see their add is open in new tab to close that tab and reload faucet page,on that way we can avoid to get invalid address message.

Ok, got it. One faucet owner have written on his faucet about this issue with CoinTraffic popads, saying to reload the page or it would give error. I did it on all faucets where the popads appeared and I could claim without problems with invalid address.

Yes, it's hard to keep everything updated as there are lots of faucets to check, but for me it's good as it's now. Later I will try the DOGE list too.  Smiley

There are some faucet owners who admit that the problem exists and as you say some of them add notice, many users think that they address is blocked and never come back to try again. It is a problrem that can be solved, but now nobody wants to deal with it.

Regarding DOGE faucets, you may see that almost all faucets have rewards with 0.xx DOGE per claim, considering that price of DOGE is go up in last months this is expected, but some of the faucet owners exaggerate with too low rewards.Even 0.1 DOGE is just something above 10 satoshi, and when I see 0.01 rewards this is really too small.

Hello
From time to time I can not log on to my wallet.

It tries several times and the wallet does not go anywhere.
I often turn on the program I wait about 1 hour and still the same.
Even as I do repair wallet progres it does not happen
Do you have such problems?

MultiBit have problems with their wallet and this is not any secret. It is not normal that you need to wait 1 hour to use your wallet/coins,so it is better to quit using MultiBit and try some other wallet.I was using Classic version and it just stop to work, every time when open wallet it start to sync again.

There are many wallets to use,but I can recommend you Electrum which I use now.I am not sure can you use seed/private keys from MultiBit HD to transfer your coins to Electrum, but if you not have some big amount easiest way is to install Electrum and send your coins from MultiBit.

15231  Bitcoin / Wallet software / Re: How to get rid of blockchain.info wallet? on: June 21, 2017, 02:30:33 PM

Did you know that the network fee still applies with the sweeping function? It's essentially the same thing and please, look at my post. That is probably the reason why you cannot sweep.

No, I didn't know the fee applies to sweeping function too.
Well, now you do.

If you don't want to spend the Bitcoins on fees, create a new wallet, select standard wallet and select use public or private keys. After keying your private keys in, you should be able to use your coins on Electrum (Only if they are confirmed and unspent).

I personally don't recommend this but if you don't want to pay the fees, here you go.

If his addresses have many inputs as he say,he will have problems when import private keys in Electrum.Recently I do the same and with address which have many inputs wallet just not responding/freezes.He can try to import one by one,and if some work then try to transfer to new Electrum address, for others addresses only way is to use blockchain wallet and send BTC to new address.

Quote
Electrum freezes when I try to send bitcoins

This might happen if you are trying to spend a large number of transactions outputs (for example, if you have collected hundreds of donations from a Bitcoin faucet). When you send Bitcoins, Electrum looks for unspent coins that are in your wallet, in order to create a new transaction. Unspent coins can have different values, much like physical coins and bills.

If this happens, you should consolidate your transaction inputs, by sending smaller amounts of bitcoins to one of your wallet addresses; this would be the equivalent of exchanging a stack of nickels for a dollar bill.

15232  Economy / Micro Earnings / Re: Micro Earning websites affected because of high transaction fees?? on: June 21, 2017, 11:02:26 AM
As far my knowledge there is lots of sites are getting business because of bitcoin like faucets ,PTC , and games which will be having huge payout of small micro earnings to the customer. Is these websites and apps affected because of high transaction charges??

Looking from the side of the owners there is problem with high fees because then need to send funds to pay their customers, and with such high fees these days some of profit gets out of their hands.

From the side of users who use microwallets to accumulate their funds I not see any problem with fee, usually with bigger treshold user pay very low fee to withdraw to his wallet. For example if you want to transfer 0.01 BTC from FaucetHub microwallet to your wallet fee is only 10 satoshi for user.

So far looking great I like all of the different faucets.

Thank you for your support,so far 7 coins is available and if ETH is added to FH this will be next coin on list Smiley

Please add my faucet to your list www.freebtcworld.com

Your faucet was already on my list and I just visit them and get message that my IP is banned,it show some IP address in that message but it is not my IP.I think you have some problem in your script and you need to fix that.

I get many questions about Unknown Error message on some faucets-this is because of service NastyHost which is not working currently, and some faucet owners use that service for anti-bot protection.Unfortunately, this service stop working from time to time and only thing you get then on some faucets is that error.

I will add info on every faucet I know that use NastyHost so we can save some time as long as the problem is not resolved.

Yeah True,

I was getting alot of complaints about that but i have made adjustment so please check again and if you have trouble please let me know.
Thanks for adding me to your list in the first place really appreciate it  Smiley

Now your faucet is working nice,I claim few times and there is no problem with blocking IP or anything else.Only thing is that your minumum reward is too low,for me lowest claim is only 11 satoshi and it means that some of users will not come back to claim again. Also your position on faucet list will be very low based on your rewards. You can monitor your statistic and make some adjustment with time.

You're welcome for adding your faucet to https://gameofbitcoins.com
15234  Economy / Web Wallets / Re: Blockchain.info wallet -- Imported address balance. on: June 20, 2017, 04:03:28 PM
I import few of my private keys to blockchain wallet and now I am trying to send all balance to my desktop wallet. But I have two options to do that, first is to send transaction for each imported address individually because it give me only that option or My Wallet balance. To send all balance I need first to use option Transfer All to My Wallet and fee for that is too high/and then choose My Wallet balance to send BTC to my desktop wallet. This means paying fee two times.

Unfortunately as far as I can see there is no option to set manual fee when using option Transfer All to My Wallet or to my address.Maybe I miss something because I use blockchain wallet for the first time.Any suggestion/advice is welcome.

Why don't you just sweep the keys directly from your blockchain.info wallet to your other wallet? You don't need to go into transferring the bitcoins first into your main blockchain.info wallet, and then sending it to your other wallet. That step is redundant and will mean you lose money on fees.

If you want to set a manual fee, then simply go to send, and selected the imported address that you want to send bitcoins from. AFAIK you cannot combine inputs on blockchain.info with imported wallets, so you'll have to do this one address at a time. Go to advanced send, and set your own fee. But by not following blockchain.info's recommended fee you are risking your bitcoins not getting confirmed in time.

I use MultiBit Classic and it stop working so I try to import private keys in Electrum, but some of addresses have to many inputs so Electrum just stop responding. In case of sweep keys in Electrum I need to pay fee to transfer BTC to one address generated by Electrum, maybe I should try that but I use blockchain wallet&Electrum import pk and I transfer BTC to my new wallet. Some addresses have small inputs so I use Electrum to send coins, other problematic with too many inputs are handled by blockchain wallet.

Anyway I am satisfied that my coins are safe and that in total I pay very low fee for my transaction with little help from ViaBTC.
15235  Economy / Micro Earnings / Re: Best bitcoin faucet or paid-to-click sites in 2017 on: June 20, 2017, 11:11:52 AM
there is nothing "best" about a faucet, they are terrible. not just because it is a waste of your time and not just because you can get your computer infected by disabling your adblock and allowing them to run scripts through these ads.
but because you are filling your wallet with small inputs which will cost a lot (even with smallest amount of fee) to spend.
but check this board if you don't want to listen: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=212.0

Faucets are good way for new users to get their first coins and learn about cryptocurrency,do you think they should start to trade or buy coins first?
I am around faucets for some time and I have good antivirus+firewall + additional security programs and I never get infected.Regarding small inputs, there is something what is called microwallet, all faucets reward go there and then when user reach desired treshold he can make withdraw to his wallet.

Before you write about something you should inform yourself first.

1. When you import an address with balance a fixed amount of fee would be deducted to transfer it to main balance. You cannot change this fee. This applies to all addresses you import.

2. Once you have transferred all the balances from imported addresses to main balance then again you have to pay a fee to transfer it to another wallet. Here you can choose your own fee, regular, priority, custom based on bytes.

For example, if you have imported three addresses, you have to pay fee four times, 3 for transfer to main account + 1 for transferring all balance to another wallet.

I know all that, but since I am using blockchain.info wallet for first time maybe I missed something in options. But for imported address you can use "Transfer All" to My Wallet so you pay only one fee for that and then second fee to send that amount to other address/desktop wallet.

Anyway fee must be pay if we want transfer coins,it is only question how high/low they will be.

I noticed this unknown transaction from my wallet: https://blockchain.info/tx/8ddb65817b8e64e9f077eff82eb93dfcedf401a78f796d496d8f2f57db003a08

I did not make this transaction and I don't know how could someone access my wallet when I get a confirmation link everytime I login to my wallet. I did not even install any unconfirmed software. I am now sure that blockchain is unsafe and I need to use another wallet which is more secure fo my coins. I lost 0.057 because of this which is my hard earned money.

Can anyone trace this wallet?

I'm sorry for your loss, once again is proved that online wallets are not safe for storage&safekeeping of our coins. You seem to have made a wrong step somewhere and hacker used that. It's possible you picked up somewhere keylogger so hacker is collect all user names and passwords you type on your PC/or maybe you are a victim of a phishing.

It would be good to know how this exactly happened,if you have any new info please let as know.

Only thing I will try is to install new copy of MB and then import my private keys, just to check is wallet.dat file causes this problem, but if your explanation is correct then MultiBit is no longer for use-some say it has been so for long time.

Yep... MBC is basically "abandoned"... they claim it is in "maintenance mode", but given they haven't even fixed their "current" version (MBHD), I very much doubt that MBC will be updated ever.
MultiBit Classic
MultiBit Classic is:

free and open source under the MIT licence
designed to work directly with any Bitcoin full node (no servers)
not related to the Bitcoin Classic full node project
a legacy product so you should upgrade to MultiBit HD
It is now considered to be a legacy product and is in maintenance mode. This means that only essential security and network compatibility updates will be made to the codebase.

The security model of MultiBit Classic is weaker than MultiBit HD so we only recommend using it if you have private keys that cannot be migrated.

I remove my wallet and all files and install fresh copy of MultiBit Classic-import my private keys and wallet is sync and working normal,I even send one transaction. But when I close wallet and open again there is no balance/wallet,just empty MB with big 0.Nothing else can not be done regarding this problem,so advice to anyone to just send your coins to some other wallet.
