now i am worried about mine 0.78BTC in my account Tongue
1. This is old news. Not sure why you are reposting.
2. Bitstamp said they will reimburse all lost coins, including but not limited to you.

I still haven't figured out how Bitstamp is plannin' on performing said feat, considering that the coins lost from the hot wallet belonged to their customers, as does the same amount 100 fold in their cold wallet.

You telling me that Bitstamp has earned at least $5M USD, not counting their operating cost and VC investors receiving at least something during their entire time of existence?

Something doesn't add up!
15302  Other / Off-topic / Re: how much you earn per day from bitcoin or other faucet ? on: January 18, 2015, 09:54:06 PM
Would it be worth it if the faucets doled out $.01 (1 US cent) per ToS visit oppose to micro fractions of same?

Is that slang for something that I do not really want to know, or do you actually mean, more of that thing that one hangs from a cow's neck so that she can go "dong dong" about?
Wait, is this it?
Why would we need cowbell?
Maybe to wake us up?

Is it possible that these two gals mistaken cowbell for cow balls for their early morning cock-a-doodle-do?

15305  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin is so so dead... on: January 18, 2015, 09:18:13 AM
In the year 2010 I was introduced to bitcoin while listening to a philosophy podcast. At that time bitcoin had just CRASHED all the way from $30 down to $3. The "bubble" had popped if you will, and it was quite clear to everyone that bitcoin was dead.

So I decided to buy 500 Bitcoin.

The very next day I walked into my garage and accidentally stepped onto a rake which flew up and hit me in the head and was knocked out cold and remained in a coma for 5 years.

I woke from my coma yesterday and the first thing that I did was ask what the price of bitcoin was doing, the answer i got was, "Bitcoin is dead, it's just crashed all the way down to $197."

Note to self: Hunt me down a rake to step on.

Swiss Franc Trade Is Said to Wipe Out Everest’s Main Fund

http://www.bloomberg.com/news/2015-01-17/swiss-franc-trade-is-said-to-wipe-out-everest-s-main-fund.html

Marko Dimitrijevic, the hedge fund manager who survived at least five emerging market debt crises, is closing his largest hedge fund after losing virtually all its money this week when the Swiss National Bank unexpectedly let the franc trade freely against the euro, according to a person familiar with the firm.

Okay, I get it. He lost the bet. Question, who, on the other side, won the bet?

Moreover, is it possible he knew he would lose others money with such a bet, but positioned himself, somehow, on the other end?

I'm fully aware of the significance of Jez San in the computing and video games industry, but how does any of this prove you are him? Googling "Jez San", will prove precisely nothing.

Is there a verifiable Jez San account on Linked In, or possibly twitter? Can we cross verify this, as I will state, for the record, that for aerobatic to be the actual Jez San is quite a claim (for those who are unaware of Jez San's significance as the entrepreneur behind Argonaut Software).

Hey Carlton... pm me your phone number and i will call you if you like.  i am definitely me.  i can prove it any way you like (thats not too much trouble.. so don't make me dance on some fiery object)

I can vouch that Jez is who he says he is. I'm an angel investor in CoinTerra and am in regular touch with him and the other angels. Based on all my sources I also have every reason to believe tape-out happened when announced. (My full name is Tuur Demeester)

I'm curious as to how many Angels got burned.

werd last transactions ... but not a problem : http://btc.blockr.io/address/info/1NS17iag9jJgTHD1VXjvLCEnZuQ3rJED9L

Call me nuts, but if this BWA belongs to Satoshi, then it shouldn't be too much of a effort to track a myriad other BWA's that fed it, looking into those addresses to see where else transactions went to. I would start with the 777 BTC one: https://blockchain.info/tx/f71d7502a32d4ea303ce998c5899379359b11f8de79afaa9176c92fddd7f6401 But, there's plenty more clues within.

15311  Other / Off-topic / Re: What we've learnt today. on: January 18, 2015, 05:18:20 AM
I've learned the difference between learnt and learned. Learnt = past tense. Learned = past perfect.

Source:
https://uk.answers.yahoo.com/question/index?qid=20070317112122AATO9XB

I guess if you want to be grammar and language purist it is good information. But I was under the impression that these words have identical meaning. And there is no 'times' difference between them really.

I am also under the impression that they are alternative forms for the past tense and past perfect of the verb "learn" - as the users in the link fearlesscat10 provided go on to state, "learnt" seems to be the form most common outside North America, and "learned" the most common within. So, I believe it is correct to say either "today I have learned" or "today I have learnt", for example.

For reference: http://www.oxforddictionaries.com/words/learnt-vs-learned.

Possibly, akin to the word 'whilst', with it and 'learnt' used by others, like myself, to simply be cute (another word we could cutely dissect). Either way, I've learneth something today.

15314  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Announcment: Brand-new miner EMIC PowerModule - 5.65 TH/s on: January 17, 2015, 11:21:45 PM
Seems too good to be true. If legit and product works as described, it's by far the best buy in the Industry.

@EMIC,

In addition to sending a review sample to dogie, I think the idea of starting to sell them on EBay will help you to build trust.

Here's an example of why:

Last year I bought a 1THS Dragon on EBay and paid via PayPal. The seller never delivered the product within the time frame he stated on eBay.

I opened a dispute resolution claim with EBay.

EBay contacted the seller. The seller could not prove they shipped the miner ( or ever intended to ship it).
I was reimbursed 100%...and the seller was de-listed.

So in your case, once you gain trust for delivering through EBay, "word of mouth" on forums such as this will help you. Then, you can resort to using your online store to sell your miners.

Somewhere is Poland is a dude jacking off all over himself because he's now planning to sell at least three devises via eBay to himself, along with leaving three positive feedbacks. Then, he'll return to this forum offering up proof that EMIC is legit.

That said, somewhere in Poland is the same dude whose weewee just went limp.

Plan C: More cowbell SSL certificates.

So did anything interesting happen at the Miami Bitcoin conference?

Yes! Matt Carson has a booth set up passing out refunds with no questions asked to all those requesting such.

Also, there was a surprise announcement that at the end of the conference there's going to be a surprise announcement. Rumor has that it may have something to do with Pattaya, but that's only a rumor. Meanwhile, at Meze grill...
