15321  Economy / Speculation / Re: wtf is going on?! on: February 18, 2016, 10:24:01 AM
Europe is near to the point to fail.
China markets are a bad joke.

People that want to invest moved to something else. Bitcoin.
It may last or not... we'll see. Bitcoin is still under-valuated at this price.
15322  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Anonymous coins on: February 17, 2016, 04:52:26 PM
I'd say that most important ones are Monero, Dash, Boolberry and Shadowcash.

But I'd also advise you to do your own research on Dash.... because of some possible problems there exactly on anonymity and because it seems that a small number of people controls the price.
15323  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Bank??? on: February 17, 2016, 11:54:18 AM
IS there any Bitcoin Bank that really works like bank that provide interest for customer that available in this world?

The way your topic started is not the best one, since quite a lot of bitcoiners hate even the word "bank", not saying the idea of keeping the money centralized.

But you have a point there. Some sort of online wallet service where you have options to select how often you can access your funds (like the deposits in ... you know where) and which will use your money as it wants to, but giving you a (small, but guaranteed) extra income may be an interesting idea.

There is, though, a problem:
while ... some institutions that do this on fiat are guaranteed by the state (I never understood why should the state interfere in contracts between private companies and individuals, but that's another issue),
the ... "online wallet" in question cannot really offer a guarantee, it has a good change to be a scam or get hacked.

If you want to invest, there are already some ways, like "invest in bank" on some gambling sites (may be risky) or lend on some exchanges (may need some of your time).
15324  Economy / Micro Earnings / Re: If Me or someone else made a Premium Paid Faucet would you use it? on: February 17, 2016, 11:43:22 AM
I've been thinking for a while and I've been wondering about Paid (not free) bitcoin faucets. If everyone had to pay a monthly fee on say $5-$10 and payed around 2000-10000 satoshi every 2 hours it could make an amazing profit! There would be no ads (maybe one or two on certain pages) and a high payout so people can gain money quite fast. You can also donate and invest in the faucet as well which gives you a bigger claim rate! Here is a quick description of the site:

Welcome to (Faucet Name Here)! We are a paid faucet with little to no ads so you can claim high amounts without the annoying ads in the way! We have pay 2,000-10,000 satoshi per claim every 2 hours! The more you donate to the site the slightly bigger payouts you get! Donate 100 to 1000 bits and you get a 1.8 multiplier so you get 1.8x the normal claim! Donate 1000-10,000 and you get 2x the normal claim! More fetuses will be added soon as we grow but we hope you enjoy the faucet! Our prices are 2,000-10,000 satoshi per claim is $5-$10 per month and 4,000-20,000 is $10-$20 per month!

It is a very small idea and I need some advice on if you like the idea or not. Please reply so I can get back to the drawing board of just publish this thing! Thanks!

The point of using faucets was to give newbies some free coins to play with and see what's the bitcoin transaction about.
Since bitcoin became expensive, the faucets give much less money than necessary to start a transaction.

First conclusion: even now 99.99% of the free faucets are completely pointless. (the rest offer some entertainment, like playing dice on the money "earned" from the faucet)

Now, making a faucets the users pay to use ... makes no sense. People can buy Bitcoin directly.
Second conclusion: your faucet idea is something between a Ponzi and something completely useless.
15325  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is current monero's rise legit or just a pump and dump thing? on: February 17, 2016, 10:54:37 AM
Monero was (and still is) badly under valuated.
Some (very nice!) new development happened there, a new version also came out lately.

Those are all good ingredients for the price to rise.
However, it's also something the seasoned speculators can use for a pump and dump.

I think that's still to early to say what actually happens on the market.
15326  Economy / Digital goods / Re: Possibility to earn without invest a dime. on: February 17, 2016, 10:51:06 AM
If the app is the one I think it is, the revenue is indeed shared between the ones that made the app and the ones that use it.
And if it's the one I think it is, it's not related to bitcoin at all. And that app is not made by OP, it's pretty safe.

However, if you want to have some meaningful earning, you'll need quite a number of people to create their accounts based on your referral.
That's why OP is trying hard to keep most of the details private: to use his referral.
15327  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Cheapest price you bought your Bitcoin(s) on: February 17, 2016, 08:58:31 AM
It was about 270-280$ from a payment terminal (quite big fees).
I wanted to buy some more at 250$, but until I found a better way to buy, the price jumped too much. Stupid me.
15328  Other / Off-topic / Re: How would you guys react if you guys lost 10, 000 bitcoin? on: February 17, 2016, 08:51:04 AM
I know that the transactions are irreversible. So you are telling me that I can say goodbye to my more than 11 monthly salaries, that is a nightmare for me??? My account was hacked, I lost 16,5 BTC and a company like BLOCKCHAIN is not going to help me in a any way?Huh

I did not follow this huge wall of text, however, this caught my eye.

First of all, from what I know, Blockchain is made in a way they cannot access anything of your data, since they'd need your password.
So it's you that got hacked, not them.
This being said, they just cannot help.

I may be wrong, since I don't use blockchain. I actually store only tiny amounts on web wallets exactly because of this.

Now, this was quite an expensive lesson, but next time try to read more about the safety of your money.
I advice you make some (more than one!) paper wallets in very safe environment (preferably a virtual machine not connected to internet which you'll delete after this process), then start using them to store your wealth.
You will be always able to check the amounts on them without using the private keys. The private keys will stay on paper and/or in some files you'll encrypt very good and keep on a couple of USB sticks.

Same here. Thank you.

Blue_Tiger73 posted as to what you would do if you gained 1,000,000 bitcoin ( Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy ). Now i am asking you guys. How would you guys react if you guys lost 10, 000, bitcoin through any reason (  Angry Angry Angry )? And how would you maximise the chances of this never happening?

DOGE12321

No chance in hell that could happen to me. The reasons are multiple, and (I will not say that I could never have that much money) :
1. I would never keep so big amounts all in one place. There are paper wallets, there are various online and offline wallets, I would use them all.
2. I would surely have some good amounts on various sites, especially exchanges (speculation or lending), to make me some more money. It's a shame to keep all the money just sit.
3. I would keep some big amounts in altcoins too. In the way Bitcoin jumped ... quite high, some have potential to do so.

As a conclusion, even if I'd have 500M BTC (!!) in total, the chance to lose 1M in one event would be slim.
What I would do? At that magnitude, I may be a little sad, but I'd just continue using the other (499M) BTC to recover my loss.
15331  Economy / Services / Re: [BIT-X.com] Earn Bitcoins by Posting | Signature Campaign on: February 16, 2016, 01:11:59 PM
Hi all! Payments should have gone out since the wallet is filled. I'll take a look into it! Smiley

Payment still not done Marco in my case at least ^^

Just for the record, same problem here.
But I'm confident Marco will take care of it.
15332  Other / Off-topic / Re: In 20 years, what would you like to do with your bitcoin? on: February 15, 2016, 02:58:00 PM
Greetings all. I'd like to know what you would do if your bitcoin did one of the following, as I am a little confused about what I'll do myself...

What would you do if:

Bitcoin hit $1,000,000:
Bitcoin hit  $1,000 again:
Bitcoin stayed where it was:
Bitcoin became worthless, or a few cents:
And which of these do you think is most probable?

Thanks for your opinions,

 -Lags

If Bitcoin hits 1M, I'll retire.
If Bitcoin hits 1k, I'll be quite happy, but also expecting for more.
If Bitcoin stays the same or drops... I hope at least my alts won't disappoint me Cheesy
15333  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Guys, is there a wallet with SMS(text MSG) verification ? on: February 15, 2016, 02:46:04 PM
If you want SMS verification, that means you want to use some 3rd party service to store your money.
I'd advice you use proper wallet for large amounts. If only you can access your money, that's the safest way to store.

Now, about your question, Bit-X clearly offers SMS authentication, though it's not really a wallet imho. And I think that XAPO has also SMS auth.
15334  Economy / Speculation / Re: Poll: What will be the high price of Bitcoin in 2016? on: February 14, 2016, 02:40:37 PM
500, maybe 600, but not really more... normally.
Of course, a lot dream now of 10k or such bubbles, but the chance for them is small.
10k is a price we should talk about only in a good couple of years...
15335  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is Bitcoin trusted to put your real money on: February 12, 2016, 10:51:48 AM
I heard people buying bitcoin using real money..
Is it really good since we all know that everything on internet can be hack or something....
Is bit[Suspicious link removed]d to make your money grow fast or will you just lose all those money??

I bought Bitcoin and will buy Bitcoin.
Bitcoin is a coin and a (high risk) speculative asset.
It's up to you if you believe it worth a shot.

There are sites that will sell you Bitcoin, there are sites that will try to scam you.
You have to read and watch out. If you buy for good reputation places you may pay some more, but you will be safe(r).
15336  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Are so many cryptos good for the world? Or is it better to have only a few? on: February 12, 2016, 10:47:31 AM
Hi Guys, since the day I have entered in to the world of crypto currencies, I was shocked to see the numbers of available currencies.
According to Coinmarketcap website, we now have 674 crypto currencies of various types which is more than the numbers of fiat.

Every now and then I am seeing a new currency is being introduced. I think this way we are harming the security of crypto currency sector. If this continues, government will have to intervene someday just to stop the free distribution of money (power) in to the society.

Also I see that the total crypto currency market size is 6,823,585,068 usd as per the above mentioned website and this huge amount of money is getting divided among these 674 currencies. The more people are moving to newer currencies, the lesser amount of money is getting circulated in to the established crypto currency trading, which in turn is decreasing the price of those currencies.

I think around 10-12 currencies are better that having 674 different currencies and it will not threaten the existence of crypto currency world.

What do you guys think?

Are so many species good for this planet?

Some coins are clones, scams, dead, worthless, jokes, ... and some bring inovation, great new features, some do good research.
The best "10-12" have the biggest communities, they are talked about most... but without the other many coins, some of these "10-12" would have never existed.
As simple as that.
All have the right to exist. The fittest ones will prevail.
15337  Local / Minerit / Re: Incepator. Putin ajutor sa inteleg anumite lucruri. on: February 12, 2016, 10:28:35 AM

In general fiecare soft de genul asta are anunt tot aici pe forum. Doar ca in engleza.

2. Fiecare site gen cex.io va mina bitcoin contra cost:

As zice ca nici-nici.

Keep some as Bitcoin and altcoins, but transfer most to cash.
Invest some of the cash.
Retire.

asdf was smart to download the wallet and make it available here: https://mega.nz/#!tMEiTSwL!y39xLaZQr0Dr-G-O7lLCumxKW_xokgEbrIIslYnOyCo

Just fyi: I also have on Dropbox an XMR wallet, if you have the patience to read up, you'll find the link.
Maybe it worth to be considered a mirror.

bitcoin is going to $2k in january and $4k 1 minute after block halving.  be prepared... be very prepared

This may be correct. January 2020 maybe? And which halving?  Grin
Funny bad predictions... I don't understand the reason of them..
