1541  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Which coin do you trust, BNB or ETH? on: May 03, 2021, 06:16:54 PM
These two are sure good altcoins to invest, and I also believe that both will be successful in the future, but I would like to ask the community here if which coin they believe will be more successful in the future. I also added a poll so you can vote, this would help people reading this thread to easily determine which coin is better.

Please share your opinion too on why you choose a certain coin.

I think both are great tokens when it comes to investments as you can see the price of Ethereum and BNB are really pushing to their limit and breaking their all-time high records.

More people could agree that BNB is better when it comes to Network just because of the lower transaction fees in the market, just compared that to a 30$ up to a 100$ transaction fees in the Ethereum Network so a lot of people would choose to use Smart Chain Network.

To be honest Smart Chain Network growth is just ridiculous and anyone could see it as a competitor to the Ethereum Network, Most people could see BNB at around 2000$ price in the market. Still, Ethereum is just exceptional.
1542  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Altcoin is good. It’s hard to persuade parents to invest in it. on: May 02, 2021, 08:59:31 PM
Crypto is not popular in my homeland. People in my homeland love to invest stocks and bonds. And real estate is the most popular investment. Only few people invest in crypto. My dad loves to invest in stocks but he seldom has a positive net income from the stock market. It’s the fact that crypto is a better tool to earn money, especially for the Altcoin. Then., I try to persuade my dad to invest in Eth and BNB. They’re worth to invest. Take myself as a good example, I spent the weekly pocket money on my first Eth two years ago and earn more than 10X of money. It seems that Eth is still going up in the future. It’s a good investment during this economic recession period. I tried my very best to persuade my dad to buy Altcoin like Eth and BNB but he thought that crypto was very risky and unreliable at all. Investing in crypto is the best way to earn money in this economic recession. It means that my family loses the chance to become rich since my dad does not invest in crypto.
It’s hard to persuade those middle-aged people to invest in crypto. Do you think so?

Well, it's kinda the same with my parents they more like in to the real state stuff telling me to buy land because it's a good investment, but I guess it is a good investment plus you could invest it as an apartment to earn a good passive income. It's also their money so they could do whatever they want in it, and it's not the money that we are risking, meaning investing in real estate is less risky for sure than investing in this cryptocurrency that's for sure.

I guess it is in their era when it comes to online things or technology they tell me that is just a scam that everything online is a scam, that I need to take out my money because it could be a scam and I need to be careful. Because in my country the news was just crazy to scams. I mean you could be a millionaire investing in bitcoin and Ethereum but it's the same as long as you invest it, we can't really convince them unless they experience how it works. Technically what they believed in because if you cash in your money and then it doesn't register on your account or something that is terrifying for them already.

So your best option was to invest your own money I mean in my position that is what I did, starting from 300$ of investment and I started to save all of my money just to earn that 300$.
1543  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Will Altcoins replace Bitcoin?!?!? on: May 02, 2021, 08:33:49 PM
Will the rise of altcoins eventually lead to the demise of Bitcoin? Ultimately Bitcoin has been tested and it has a place in the crypto world. Join our  discord https://discord.gg/pp7Jwsp9 for further discussions about this topic. Tell me what you think?

I don't think so When you compared Ethereum and BNB which are the tops cryptocurrency altcoins in the market it has a different use case so I don't think there will actually going to replace bitcoin at some point.

What I mean here is it is solving different problems in society, Ethereum is just like the Internet or something similar to BNB, others are used for something. We could probably say that it is possible to surpass the market price of bitcoin but to replace bitcoin is different because it a different and at the same, it is bitcoin that is not an altcoin.

Dethroning bitcoin is possible and as we observe the market it is possible to multiply a market cap in just a short time, but nothing will replace bitcoin because it is the first one and that also makes it unique because it is not a copy.
1544  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin or Gold? on: May 02, 2021, 08:17:39 PM
No matter how popular bitcoin has become, it will be very difficult to replace gold. Gold is the most trusted investment tool for many people. a very strong competitor of gold bitcoin. but bitcoin is as valuable as gold. The difference between them is for some reason gold has always been viewed as a guaranteed investment tool. bitcoin, on the other hand, has not yet gained as much trust as gold.
Age is the best explanation for the beliefs of many who are still low in bitcoin, bitcoin represents the face of a young project, young talent is only too attentive to individual performance and lacks steady maturity while gold represents a stable trend over the centuries, generations in our family have seen the mission it accomplished, don't crash and keep the original quality of an investment intact. Unique qualities will not allow for complete replacements, the needs of investors will choose the right qualities for them.

Yeah, I agree with that, gold has a lot of assurance because it is a physical representation so you have something that you could hold on to and ensure that you're not going to lose it unless you actually lose your gold.

I still think that gold is overrated so for sure in just a few years bitcoin is going to surpass the market cap of gold after a big drop in the market price of bitcoin it could easily triple its market cap when it came back from a big drop just like what happened when it drops to 3000$ and then pump up to 45k$ in just a short amount of time.

You can say that gold is less risky than investing in bitcoin for sure, but bitcoin is solving a big problem in a fiat currency, and the growth of bitcoin is just ridiculous and probably the safest crypto investment that you could make.
1545  Economy / Speculation / Re: How risky do you feel investing in Bitcoin is in this point of time? on: May 02, 2021, 08:01:08 PM
Just want to see a general consensus of how risky investing in Bitcoin here is in this point of time.  Me? I feel it's on the verge of being hardly risky at all.  So my answer is a little risky.   I know, controversial poll but oh well.

Investing long term almost has no risk at all, But it is not the best time to invest in bitcoin either, Still, you could easily see the chart of bitcoin and it reaches a higher market cap in just a short amount of time

If you have diamond hands in bitcoin you could guarantee a profit in the future, but it's not easy to hold for years just like what people do in the past years, all of the people are already millionaires or billionaires these days.

You might want to just forget about that investment especially if you not used to it because most people are selling their bitcoin when they experience a high percentage drop especially if your a bigger that could easily cost panic for most of the people so the market price could continue to drop its market price.

1546  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: travelling internationally with a hard wallet on: May 02, 2021, 07:46:23 PM
Is there any danger in travelling internationally with a hard wallet? I am not afraid of confiscation, because it can be recovered with the passphrase, but what about the chance of them denying you entry into the country because you have an evil cryptocurrency hard wallet on you? Could I buy a hard wallet in my country, transfer crypto to it, then leave it behind in a safe place, then buy another same hard wallet in another country and using my passphrase get access to my crypto again?

I don't think they are allowed to confiscate your property and I don't think that they are aware or they will know everything in your bag or something, I guess you could just hide it.

I mean if it is not allowed maybe they will look for it or something that is similar about it, just like for example a knife or a gun right?

Didn't see any cases similar to this one so I guess it is still safe, but I guess it is more like something that they could not stop like if it is illegal to buy bitcoin in a country or something, people can still buy bitcoin at that country you just need to do some work or I guess it is just a bit difficult than if it is not illegal.
1547  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Is Dogecoin overpriced? on: May 02, 2021, 07:31:34 PM
I'm surprised to see an abandoned coin like Dogecoin surging in price like crazy. People are overestimating Dogecoin without realizing that it was never meant to be taken seriously. The huge supply of DOGE in circulation, along with abandoned development and innovation, tells me that it should be less valuable than what it is right now (please correct me if I'm wrong).

What are your thoughts? Do you think Dogecoin is overpriced? If not, why? Your input will be greatly appreciated. Thanks. Smiley

I guess it is overpriced when it comes to utility, just because it doesn't have a utility that is why most people are thinking that it doesn't have any future in the market.

But today it is just irresponsible to not have some in your portfolio just because at any second it could easily explode in the market, Once dodge reaches a new all-time high in the market it is always stabilizing and remain at that price so in my opinion there is a big community that is believing in the DOGE so I guess it is always worth it to invest in to even though it is a little risky.

When I realize its community and the potential of DOGE I can say I don't think it is not overpriced and I don't think it will even drop to 1.5 cents in the market.
1548  Economy / Speculation / Re: New Bitcoin support! Fall or rise? on: May 02, 2021, 06:52:24 PM
I don't expect a bear market to crash through any time soon. Simply too much bullish sentiment and well-deserved FOMO right now.
We are all expecting that to happen but right now bitcoin market is seeming too stagnant without any major price movements. Probably market is waiting for another big news but not sure how and where that will be happening. In some sense I'm just wondering how we have reached up to $55k levels this year but not moving further right now.

We all need right now just another institution to come and adopt bitcoins with long-term plans or any market giant needs to start accepting bitcoins or any government needs to declare about their positive stand against bitcoins or something else which we have not seen in the past. Markets just need another stir up.

Bitcoin market stabilizes at around 55k$ in the market so I guess it will stay at this market price for a moment until it explodes to a higher market price.

It's kinds of tough when we reach 63k$ in the market so it really needs a push and a lot of investors to break the new All-time high again and to do that we're gonna need a lot more.

I kinda agree we need something that is going to push bitcoin, maybe just 1 good article or giant companies adopting into bitcoin, news about this could easily explode the bitcoin market for sure. But there are some people that expect that this will be the last rally of bitcoin and then it is going down after that.

1549  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin not yet at $100k, why? on: May 02, 2021, 06:17:40 PM
At this start of this year, there was a lot of hype about how high the price of bitcoin will get, some speculated that btc will set a new ATH of $100k before the first half of the year is over, others before the first quarter of the year.
This However has not been the case. We just passed the first quarter of the year and btc has not even gotten to $70k yet. Do you still think $100k is still possible before the first half of the year?

It is possible, don't lose hope and just believe in bitcoin, a lot of people are doubting again just because there were no huge movement buts it's the reality something bitcoin just stabilizes at a certain price like what  it is at this moment.

Bitcoin is just waiting to explode so do not sell and just hold your bitcoin at this times, you need to be greedy when people are afraid,or when market price is dump in a big percentage.

Is is the safest cryptocurrency to invest and top 1 cryptocurrency and compared to altcoins it is the most guaranteed cryptocurrency to reach that price at this moment.
1550  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Safe with bitcoin? on: May 01, 2021, 11:59:02 PM
Today we are experiencing a virus and that is the coronavirus or the NCov19 that is becoming pandemic immediately in just a single week and today there are a lot of people still going outside even there is a quarantine. The reason why? They need to go outside just to buy foods and things they need and also pay their bills they are prone to the virus also the virus can now be attached to the tangible things like money if they are already infected and touch the money with the virus it is rapidly spreading immediately. And today it is good to introduce the use of cryptocurrency or the bitcoin using online payment because it is more faster and secured they don't need to go outside too to pay other things they need and it is better if we are spreading those information so they can now made online payment and let's stop spreading of virus.

Cryptocurrency is more like an investment, not something that you could spend, I mean you can spend it actually if you want but if you buy cryptocurrency you want to earn a profit from it.

Online payment like virtual money is the best option to use when it comes to the pandemic to avoid the virus because it just virtual money meaning it doesn't have a volatile price, it just fiat money online.

Plus when it comes to using virtual money something like an application it is easy to have a lot of partnerships so you can expect that the merchants are gonna accept or accept this kind of payment option.
1551  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bad advices regarding Bitcoin on: May 01, 2021, 11:30:10 PM
What is the worst piece of advice you've received since you first began dealing with crypto? Mine was to take pictures of my wallet seeds with my phone so I don’t lose them.

I mean taking a picture of the wallet seeds is not actually bad as long as you store it offline that could probably be a good thing instead of writing the wallet seed on a piece of paper.

Most of the member here are lucky because they are getting advice from different people here in the forum, in the past years getting information was really difficult you need to have the resources and everything but now is different and it just an information overload to the point where you do not know what to follow.

When I just getting started I need to do it on my own and learn everything about this cryptocurrency, that includes making a lot of mistakes or losing a lot of money.
1552  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: BNB to $1k? on: May 01, 2021, 11:04:05 PM
Binance Coin has been on the rise ever since ETH's network congestion has grown to a point where the "little guy" is left out of the system. PancakeSwap has been the major platform to lead BNB's price all the way to the moon. At the time of this writing, Binance Coin is the third-largest cryptocurrency by market cap with a price well above $500 per coin. If Binance's project rose from the ground at such a fast pace, what's stopping it from reaching $1k in the future?

What are your thoughts? Do you think BNB will reach $1k soon? If not, why? Is BNB's price sustainable? What's your prediction of BNB's price 5-10 years from now? Your input will be greatly appreciated. Thank you very much. Smiley

Surely soon we are going to reach 1k$ and probably it is possible to achieve in this year actually because the BNB Network was just so hype and useful to a lot of projects especially with the low fees.

A lot of developers are already looking into it because of the low fee transactions where if compared to Ethereum is a big leap and more convenient, I mean BNB network is still not perfect there are still a lot of errors with the high traffics but it is better than paying 30-100$ of transaction fees in Ethereum Network.

Also NFT marketplace is going to open in Binance i think it is going to be a big thing for the BNB network and BNB token, when that come out that could easily boost the price.
1553  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is it safe to invest in BNB now? on: May 01, 2021, 08:05:09 PM
In this March, I can't make my own satisfactory trade due to my wrong decision and research. But I got some profit from BNB and used buy back policy again and again. Today, I sold my all BNB token at around $245 but now it is still bullish in mood. The next major resistance is located at the $300 level. So I need some suggestions whether I go for buying it again or should I stop here.

It's always kinds of hard to know the peak of a token and most of the investors are just cannot predict or sell at the peak price of that token, mostly only a small percentage of people are able to do that.

I guess just because the token burn boosts the price of BNB in the market, Even I miscalculated a little bit selling most of my BNB at around 400$ I know that there will be a pump because of the token burn at the end of April but the pump just went too early so I just sold at a lower price.

Still, it is fine because I still made a profit in BNB and I could easily buy it back and earn profit again when it is a dump or buy other coins for profit as well.
1554  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: is dogecoin suitable for kids? on: May 01, 2021, 07:31:02 PM
I am thinking to teach my 8 yr old daughter about crypto. But past history riddled with illicit activity so I was thinking to open her a just dogecoin wallet and have her to learn to use it. Do you think it is suitable? Anyone done this? Or any risk?

Thanks.,

Sure there's nothing wrong with that as long as you teach everything and he completely understands everything like for example knowing the risk of this kind of investment.

But I guess you could start in bitcoin or Ethereum, unlike dogecoin which has a higher risk and most people do not consider it as an investment because it doesn't have utility.

It will be difficult to completely understand this kind of stuff, especially for an 8years old child because they just don't have enough experience and knowledge about how investments or money works but I agree that it's better to teach your children about this kind of stuff while he's still a child.
1555  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why are there so many negative posts about BTC lately? on: April 30, 2021, 11:28:09 PM
Do they come from the Dogecoin supporters?

I remember way back when BTC and Dogecoin supporters were friends, it's not happening anymore I guess. Now Dogecoin supporters hope to take over BTC Cheesy It's not gonna happen.

Too bad this meme coin has been destroyed like that giving it nothing more than a pump and dump status. Thank you Elon!  Roll Eyes

Mostly there are always a lot of negative comments or articles about bitcoin when the price is dumping and a lot of good news, when the price is pumping that, is probably what happened most of the time.

I don't think was Dogecoins supporters probably mostly are newbies are the ones who say that or comment something or assume something in bitcoin because they just don't have enough experience how it works.

You cant compare bitcoin to Dogecoin because the gap was just too far, but we cannot deny the dogecoin growth and it is something that you cannot ignore this day so let's just see how it is going to turn outs.

1556  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: RUMOUR: Facebook will announce they hold #Bitcoin on: April 29, 2021, 10:37:39 PM
According to some cryptocommunity members there is a rumor that the Facebook social media giant might be holding Bitcoin on its balance sheet.

https://twitter.com/alistairmilne/status/1386953429814333441

As one user commented, "I hope not, the companies that hold #bitcoin will probably survive the upcoming inflation."

What do you think?

I mean as Facebook most of us will not be surprised at all that they are already holding bitcoin at all, Bitcoin is a big investment so a lot of companies are already seeing it as an asset.

It could easily just be a rumor, in social media like tweeter everyone could just tweet something about rumors and they are thousands of these rumors on tweeter.

Bitcoin could easily blow up in just 1 article about Facebook buying bitcoin, I guess it is always worth it to buy the rumor in the case of bitcoin in the first place it is already a good investment. Just like what they say buy the rumor and sell the news.

1557  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Someone on Tiktok said that Bitcoin will go down zero if founder show up! on: April 26, 2021, 11:20:02 PM
Dan Pena said in an interview which was being uploaded on tiktok that he knows who is behind or the founder of bitcoin. He then said that if people know who is behind bitcoin then bitcoin will going down to zero. He also state that a bitcoin user could not literally sleep well at night due to market instability and security. I posted the link below guys. What do you think?

https://vt.tiktok.com/ZSJBP8faQ/

That's a big no, in my opinion, there's no way that bitcoin will reach zero at all even when the real founders come out, and I don't really think that it will have some effect on the bitcoin market price at all.

His statement is not valid at all and at this point its already a bit late maybe for someone to show up and introduced as the creator of bitcoin because there's really no way that you could prove that, we know that there is someone attempted to claim that they are the creator but doesn't really get recognized.

The only scary thing here is where the founder just dumps a big amount of bitcoin into the market, and could easily dump the market price of bitcoin, and even though he dumps it I don't think it will reach zero at all.
1558  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin will never go below $50,000 again on: April 25, 2021, 07:51:31 PM
It just goes below 50k$ in the past days and probably a lot of investors are already expecting a drop because bitcoin was pumping recently and making a new ATH in the market.

But still, the gains were still so high if you look at the chart of bitcoin, and bitcoin price is so volatile when it skyrockets because we could expect investors to take profit when the price is so high.

A safe price I think is 40k$ up because we can clearly see a lot of resistance around 49k$ in the market so probably when it goes below 40k$ a lot of investors are already panicking.
1559  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Does Dogecoin still worth to invest? on: April 25, 2021, 07:21:57 PM
Dogecoin has dropped after a huge breakout. Many hk people think that the bull market of Dogecoin is over. But some people think that Dogecoin still has a chance to go up. However, there’re very few information about Dogecoin in most investing forum in hk. It’s because hk people are more keen on investing stocks and bonds. Most people in this forum are professional in investing crypto. Could you tell me whether Dogecoin still worth to invest? Or the bull market of Dogecoin is over?

I guess it is worth a try to invest in DOGE coin and potentially could give you a good profit even in short-term investment.

With my assessment of the DOGE coin market once it already reaches a certain price in the market it seems to stay in that market price and most of the time it doesn't just dump big time.

A lot of people are expecting the market price of the DOGE coin to drop big time just because of the recent pump but it doesn't I'm assuming investors are seeing a huge potential to this coin and expecting it to reach 1$ in the future so I guess it is really possible and we could easily make a good profit from it.
1560  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Amazon is reportedly hiring to build out an innovative crypto payment option on: April 25, 2021, 06:53:43 PM
Great news actually this could potentially be the next big reason why bitcoin could pump over 100k$ or mostly the altcoins market at the same time.

I was expecting something like Apple to innovate into cryptocurrency as well in the future, I mean amazon needed to be involved in cryptocurrency because I think they were a competitor to Ethereum.

It's interesting how this turn out but it always has a pretty big effect on the market and I think that's what is important because using crypto as payment doesn't make sense most of the time at this moment.
