although now the dominance of bitcoin is slightly reduced compared to other cryptos but for now there is no single altcoin that can replace bitcoin as the king of crypto because bitcoin is not only a technology but a financial revolution that continues to develop over time, even if there will be new technology present of course it will not necessarily replace the position of BTC, and everyone who is new to crypto of course will first have to learn and understand bitcoin before investing in crypto, and with that bitcoin hype will continue to happen from time to time.

Never say never, I can't say in future there won't be one or two Altcoins that would end up replacing Bitcoin but for now I don't see any Altcoins that is well positioned to displace Bitcoin. A lot of things differentiate Bitcoin from Altcoins. First is the novel idea, second is the community, third is the Store of Value that people bought into.  Forth is the Creator (Satoshi) how many of these Altcoins developers can do what Satoshi did and leave the project in the hands of others to move the project forward

It has been years in which Bitcoin has been in existence, and it has grown massively over the years, both in reputation and price, in fact it is the most trusted and most valuable till date. On the other hand, the number of altcoins has been growing over the years as well, and only few can be said to be valuable and they include Ethereum, LTC and so on, these coins for example have tried all they could but finds it hard to replace Bitcoin. Also, we have an immensely high number of new altcoins with even many still on the way, but out of these numbers, one can hardly count good altcoins which really aims to bring a change, that is, a good number of them grows at first then starts dying slowly until users and investors, abandons it and move to others.
From another point of view, the attention on altcoins are spread over many, wherein most are only seen as a source of profit and nothing more (pump and dump), to prove this, taking a look at the recent growth of the market, one will see that only few altcoins are growing, what about the others?
So to cut the whole story short, most of the attention coming recently to the crypto space is always targeted or seen to be towards Bitcoin hence, it is another proof that Bitcoin can not be replaced, but will keep growing, while top altcoins as well, will be growing and on the other hand, most new altcoins based on hype with no use case will continue decreasing in value.

From my own personal view, no Altcoin can ever replace Bitcoin, Bitcoin is the father of all crypto currency and without Bitcoin, i dont think theres a crypto, many institutions and big companies have invested huge amount of money in bitcoin and that should tell us that bitcoin is the engine driving the entire crypto industry ,if bitcoin dies which i know will never happen, am afraid but the whole crypto industry might collaspe.

Perhaps in the future but I have seen any, yearn.finance that many were depending on was heavily tank as the founder left to another project because his dreams about the project weren't delivered as he expected.
You often come across new projects that are quite promising with full of new ideas but most of the time doe along the probabily due to greed and some dumping of coins on the market.
Litecoin and Bitcoin Cash that were supposed to be the successor didn't go far, so I don't think we have any for now but may be in the future.

actually there is not any altcoins that could replace bitcoin as "dominance" in crypto currency market.
the whole market is focused on bitcoin, there isn't any product original that could offer "all" aspect that give bitcoin actual dominance.
With bitcoin forks, we have seen just useless tempting to create a "new" or "better" bitcoin.
market, users, miners, etc have clearly highlighted what is the real one.

To me, there is no possibility that altcoins would be worth more than Bitcoin. In fact, altcoins are no different than technology businesses in other countries. Every business has a unique function, and what's worse for altcoins is that they have to thrive in a community with very few actual users. Therefore, they do not have the conditions to be able to surpass Bitcoin.
Bitcoin is like digital gold, so its value will only increase over the years, not decrease.

No, bitcoin is so much better & so much more trustworthy than most alts. It is on the verge of widespread mainstream adoption. This isn’t to say that some alts can thrive, none will be more widely used or accepted as the king bitcoin though.

Of course, altcoins will not replace bitcoin. It seems to me that the correct question should sound like this How much they move it?
After a while, I think it will only have the function of gold, what do you think?

Bitcoin is literally called king of crypto currency because almost (99%) of other trade pairs totally depends on bitcoin. Meanwhile etherum is a king on its own; literally called king of altcoins as it liberates several altcoins through its easy to run smart contract and wide acceptability. Bitcoin functions well with good adoptability; altcoins also on their own provide large scale and wide scale solutions and adoptions and importantly profits; hence i see no reason why altcoins can replace bitcoin.

I don't see it happening at all. My opinion alone'; always do your own research

In Crypto everything is uncertain, meaning anything you can think of can be possible. The idea of Bitcoin being replaced is not impossible but for now,
as we all can see market price movement depends on what direction Bitcoin price is going.

Heard of that on 2017. But where they are right now? all of those who have thought of it because they got hype with the altcoin that they hold probably are not minding of it anymore.
Bitcoin can put altcoins into trouble but alts can't.

Altcoin rise because Bitcoin risen, Still the price of bitcoin dictates the general market price so if there is a coin that can take over Bitcoin, Probably it should be a stablecoin with a huge marketcap because there's still no coin that is not correlated to Bitcoin and I don't know if a coin will exist to overcome it.

This is right form experience in 2017 also. The bitcoin bull was the reason for altcoin bull too. From what op has said, I'm not seeing altcoin so far to replace bitcoin. If you check the strength of the market and capital market, you see no equal to bitcoin.

Noway. such predictions or expectations will not happen. Bitcoin remains the Number cryptocurrency currently been recognzied globally by everyone both the people and government. it is bigger than the other altcoins. The current market cap is huge compared to altcoins in general. the market dominance remains a force which altcoins can not pull down. bitcoin will always remain on top.
