1541  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Short Term or Long Term on: May 04, 2017, 01:26:25 PM
For bitcoin i take it for long term because it has potential and few years has been passed but its still going stronger and like a digital gold. for altcoins i go for short term and i have to monitor it daily for changes of value, the income is not big but good enough.
I guess this is the common practice of almost all the crypto users. Interestingly in recent times the altcoins also is proving the benefits of its long term holding. I guess in the history of altcoins, only in recent times altcoins finding big surge only in recent times. For example, litecoins were finding only downfall even its halving it just got doubled but after some time again prices found downfall.

But now a days even altcoins are getting us significant profits in long term perspective, I guess it would be a new trend and I am not sure how many traders will change their trading portfolio according to this new change.
1542  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: If you have 1BTC to spent in trading what coins will you invest on: May 04, 2017, 08:48:01 AM
Hmm, probably put about half of that one bitcoins long into ETH. ETH seems like it’s gaining stability and popularity, while also growing like crazy. Over the last six months it’s surged like crazy in value against bitcoin, never mind against fiat.

I’d save .4 BTC for riskier stuff, namely the introduction of some obscure coin onto one of the major exchanges.

Kraken opened trading on Gnosis earlier this week, which shot up rapidly in price and has been coming back down steadily. If you can keep up to date on when different altcoins go live, you can probably get in and out really quick for a fast but risky profit. The other .1 bitcoins I’d drop into Dogecoin for the lulz.
1543  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How can we expect "average Joe" to remember passphrases to his Bitcoins? on: May 02, 2017, 04:47:04 PM
It's something which seems crucial to me for reaching mass adoption (in addition to scalabilty of course...).
Already on this forum there is a shitload of people losing their Bitcoins by forgetting passphrases, the private keys, the dat file etc...
So I would like to know what technological solutions could be proposed for this problem.

To make a comparison, a lot of people are forgetting their credit card code (even if it's only 4 digits...) or losing the card and the centralized solution to this is the bank providing new card/code.

Which decentralized solutions to this problems could you think of?

Simple solution for average Joes..
Don't use bitcoin, if you can't remember password, passphrase, private keys or dat file.
Don't use c. card, if you can't remember pin.

Maybe in future we will get finger print, retina scan, face detection etc etc in the bitcoin tech.
PIN codes were first created around the idea that even a rerated person could remember them, so the “average joe” that you are talking about could at least remember a 4-digit code, hell even a monkey could remember a pin code, as for the bitcoin there are similar ways, I personally use an online wallet like Xapo for example where e you only have to enter a password one time and from than you could use only a pin code to make things easier.
1544  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How much risk in bitcoin investement ? on: May 02, 2017, 01:18:26 PM
I think even a short term holder has a low risk to lose you just know when to buy and when to sell them.. if you bough bitcoin from the price of $1200 before i am sure you can make a profit today if you sell it since the price was rise and touch $1,474 value there are still possibility that the price of bitcoin will increase more or the price can be decrease soon so if you holding that amount of bitcoin half that amount is good to sell right now and gain a good profit and hold the rest and maybe the price will increase more soon if the price is increase you can sell the rest and still gain a good profit but if not since you already sold your bitcoin you still made a good profit with the half of your investment.
When it comes to all types of investments there is always going to be risk involved in it, because there is no easy way to get money, either you have to work hard for it or go through the hard process of waiting for something that you don’t have control over it and hoping for the best, and bitcoin has risks involved in it as well whether you like it or not.

But what makes it different is bitcoin is not as punishing as other types of investments that if you make the wrong decision you have to wait for a long time in order to recover, but bitcoin’s price is always changing so it makes it easy to deal with yet so rewarding when you know what you are doing.
1545  Economy / Services / Re: [FREE] Sportsbook betting service - Lets make some bitcoin on: April 29, 2017, 12:41:28 PM
Welcome to bitcointalk...

- On OP, you are missing the sport name on which you are going to provide betting tips.
- You may move this topic into gambling discussion board [1] as there many gamblers will be interested to follow/check how your prediction works. Already many gamblers are doing this hence when you are performing accurately, you will be getting chances to stand high.

[1] your topic suits here too. But, to attract more gamblers, you may need gambling related boards and also obviously people will interact about your predictions and its accuracy hence gambling discussion board best suits to you.
1546  Economy / Services / Re: Bump - Exchanger on: April 29, 2017, 09:57:23 AM
I understand you are ready to give bumps to topic by charging some bitcoins/money. I am not sure these "paid bumps" are allowed here. Because they could come a cancer here by disturbing the healthy and balanced environment.

I guess some service providers are already doing this, but when you are continuously writing posts only for the pumping purposes, you will get reported and finally may end in permanent ban too.

I foresee this is not a good service to provide. Please stop right away by locking this thread.
1547  Economy / Services / Re: SMS Verify - Phone Verification Service | Starting At $0.6 on: April 29, 2017, 08:48:01 AM
SMS Verification Service. Self Service.

https://smsverify.club

Rates start at $0.6, but I can offer you a discount, if the quantity is larger.

Over 20+ Services including Tinder, WhatsApp, Steam, Twitter e.t.c

How much discounts you can offer for bulk purchases like 50 or 100. I just check your site only for 50 verification you are providing at the rate of 60 cent but honestly I am looking for a services which will be dealing with lesser than 20 cents but for guaranteed larger quantity.

Are you numbers real one or you are getting them from any VOIP based services ? I just want to know how much newer your numbers are for some known services where usually old numbers had been used already.
1548  Economy / Services / Re: [WTB] Virtual Private Phone Numbers on: April 29, 2017, 07:37:57 AM
phone.com is the good services for virtual phone numbers as they are having lot of real look like numbers around the world. But they are not accepting bitcoin payments as per I have checked with them.

They are not charging per call nor per sms. We can change numbers as per our wish so that we can have more numbers. But familiar services like gmail verification might get failed as some numbers had already been used by other users.

We can get one month trial for free of cost by using zero balance virtual cards or we can try for $10 per month with first month free.
1549  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Play with your profit or not? on: April 29, 2017, 07:06:14 AM
I don't know about other but it comes to my mindset I always gamble with my profits only because we can easily track how much we are losing and how much we are gaining. Each person has his own attitude some might will play with profits and some people will gamble with (investment + profits), it completely depends on their mindset.
Yeah I agree on this. It really depends whether I use my profits to gamble or not. It depends on if I really don't want to lose money or if I don't care too much.

Yes, the only thing we have to remember while gambling doesn't allow you to make much money in single betting and don't go over exicited with the money you made through gambling because always it is good though to gamble with profits only.

From what you have said, I think you are planning to gamble until you have a profit which is really not good. When you are gambling and losing a lot, eventually you will be wanting to get back what you have lost and gamble until you notice that you have nothing. We must really control ourselves.

I didn't know that it is not good to have profit in gambling, lol. The reason that we are gambling is because we want to make more money out of it, and the profits is the more important here in gambling, so how come that it is not good to have one? I think you didn't get the point that he was trying to say. What he means is that we have to quit if we know that we have already made enough profits, because the house will just take it all away if we are going to continue to make more.

Because the house if just provoking us by letting us to win, for us to have more confidence to continue, and if they have succeeded on this plan, then expect that in the end, we are the one who is going to lose.
This is now a nice explanation; some people have a little problem with their communication skills. He may have wanted to write this but couldn’t make it.

The point of quitting at the time when you make more is a good one. Keeping in mind that if it earned it can lose as well and not in bits then when it comes to loss then people are there try to win but there are less people of fortune.
1550  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is it a sin to gamble? on: April 29, 2017, 06:38:20 AM
People does not only gamble to win money or feed their greed.  This depends on the purpose why people is going to Casino.  If a person purpose is to have entertainment and enjoy himself then where is the sin on that.  If you are using your own money from legit earnings, why would anyone consider it as a sin?
Yes, it depends upon the nature of the games you play and if it is just an entertainment and just want to enjoy your time then I guess it’s okay but if you are doing something in which someone is being exploited then it is not right. Exploitation in any case is a sin. Even if, people are exploited socially or by any other means but it is a sin.

However the bible clearly condemns the love of money.
Religions were created just to ensure people are leading a happy life. Hence we need not look for exact definition of what religion is saying about gambling. If you are religious, it would be better stop gambling as for no reason gambling could be justified for a anyone's happy life.
1551  Economy / Speculation / Re: I've been very busy out spending my Bitcoins on: April 28, 2017, 09:38:12 PM
Whats old Kwukduck quacking about these days?

Is he still fighting the good fight?
I am just afraid. Over years, here many people are going to get proven as wrong. I am not here to support people who are doing FUDs like Kwukduck is doing but I am trying to say we are all speculating some price levels for bitcoins but I do see many people are not agreeing with levels in millions, maybe those people will find hard time by considering the current pace of bitcoin's value appreciations.

In my observations, most of the people who are into FUDs against bitcoin are just the devs of altcoins. They believe they can give good future for their coins by surpassing bitcoins.
1552  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin can reach 3000 USD in a year ? on: April 28, 2017, 09:23:42 PM
Bitcoin can reach 3000 USD in a year ?
Yes no doubt. By the current growth and the adoption I feel no hesitation while saying it that it can reach up to $3000. As we can see many of the countries are looking forward to accept the Bitcoin and with this decision we can see a clear growth in the prices of the Bitcoin.

It has covered the distance from $1,100 to $1,300 and is still growing with the raise in its prices. I notice every next day the price increase and if it rises with the same velocity it will reach to $3000.
1553  Economy / Speculation / Re: I have not invested in Bitcoin when it was 200 US dollars on: April 28, 2017, 09:11:29 PM
hhaha i started bitcoin when it is on $600 and i dont even know that bitcoin price will be double its price right now. thats why i loss the chance to be rich in order to be safe i loss the chance from being rich . at that time i invested on my friends business than bitcoin thats why i loss my money and not earned if it was on bitcoin im sure that im rich now.
You are even better. I started it when it was $800 and in a little time its prices. Even we still have not lost the chance to be rich. The prices are going to be much high in the future and one can notice it by the end of the year 2017. The only thing that you need is a focus. You have made almost more than the double of it what you had invested. There are more likely people who are now adopting the Bitcoin with the hope that they will make a handsome amount of their capital.
1554  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What did you buy for money won? on: April 28, 2017, 08:59:42 PM
I know one of my friend who like to bet and he bought his computer from his own winning. I also know one of my friend's friend who is unlucky that he lost a lot of money, lost his mind and proceed to bet using his tuition money. Of course he lost it aswell and he's asking here and there for loan right now.
Losses from gambling is the most common everywhere only very few gamblers are finding the chances to finish up their gambling with profits. So far I am not finding my day to end my gambling with profits for the day.

If I will be getting any chances to do so, I too will be buying something that will help me to gamble more. Actually I am in plan to big monitor to gamble in real life like environment.

Because I do believe gambling should be performed only for the reason of obtaining some satisfaction with it. I have concluded making profits from gambling will not be possible at the same time I could not find it entertaining me. Maybe gambling in better environment might get me more satisfaction but I'm unable to spend money for it. By chance if I get any profits then I will gamble after that only for entertainment.
1555  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you prefer 100% or 150% Welcome bonus ? on: April 28, 2017, 08:13:06 PM
There are no dumb questions they say...
Everyone will choose 150%, because it's a bigger bonus. What would you choose if somebody would offer you $10 or $15 for free? Come on, what is this topic even about?
Normally bonuses are just to attract those, who don't know how they work. Most people will never make enough bets to qualify for the bonus.
You got the point its obvious that they will choose 150% instead of 100% because always want a high bonuses in terms of gambling casino..
Even me if casino giving me a chance to choose what bonus that i want to receive 100% or 150% its obvious that i will choose 150%
But the wager requirements will be higher with higher percentage of bonus. I believe going with lesser wager requirement will be the wise idea to make use of bonuses. I rarely claim bonuses with gambling sites as I was not having good track of satisfying the conditions to make bonuses withdrawable.

Instead of struggling for satisfying the bonus conditions, just ignoring them without climbing will be the easier option for most of the gamblers like me.
1556  Economy / Gambling / Re: 1XBET Sports Betting - Worst online sports betting you'll find anywhere. on: April 28, 2017, 07:53:14 PM
Well that is a weird way of telling people to use only one currency to deposit if you ask me.

You need to be able to withdraw with anything you want except fiat which could be understandable. If I deposit $100 and $50 doge I would love to be able to withdraw $150 in bitcoins if I want to. Very weird problem to have, never seen this one before.
1557  Economy / Economics / Re: The Real Reason to Hold Gold And Bitcoin on: April 28, 2017, 07:40:36 PM
I think both gold and bitcoin can be good long term investments as well as some altcoins. It's also good to diversify and a little of each.
In current situation of the bitcoin it can be termed as the digital gold because I don’t see any other altcoin to beat the bitcoin. As both are considered as assets so both are good for a long term investment.

Yes, some altcoins can also be helpful but the altcoin are not that stable as compare to the bitcoin. I don’t see any other altcoin with such a good graph that we have of the BTC.
1558  Economy / Economics / Re: The future of the paper money on: April 28, 2017, 07:09:01 PM
Who gets in the way of paper money?
I use them often and I have doubts that they will ever cease to exist. Bitcoin is not a competitor to them. This is a completely different system and it does not need to be compared with fiat.
Paper money will cease to exist. First, their production costs money, the second counterfeiting brings damage to the economy, in the third government does not control, and current trends lead to gain control over people. Be it bitcoin or the national currency is not important

Without telling the specific terms it is no more than empty verbiage

I could just as well claim that everything will cease to exist and now try to prove me wrong. Other than that, even if some stupid government bans cash from circulation today, people will just start using some foreign currency bills and coins tomorrow for cash payments and settling accounts between themselves. There is no point in forbidding something when you lack the power to enforce the ban. Moreover, it will be counterproductive since people will just start distrusting their government even more than usual
Your claim is related to the faith; it’s true so no need to comment on it. The other part is if the government bans cash circulation or something, it has also been tried in a form that the government decides to change the money bills and coins. It has been practiced several times in many countries.

Banning the cash transaction can only happen in the extreme situation and people will definitely find a way out to ease their lives.
1559  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin to be international currency on: April 28, 2017, 06:30:30 PM
It is yet to be announced that bitcoins would be used worldwide as in many parts of the world ,bitcoin introduction is too much necessary then we can apply it.We need media to join hands with us for the promotion of bitcoins.

There wouldn't be any broad announcement any more than there was for the dollar. Nobody controls the international currency market, so there's no authority to deem anything an international currency. It just kind of happens. Whatever currency is the most sought after worldwide is an international currency because its sought out worldwide. Nobody announces it to be so first.
Actually it depends on how we judge it because there is no proper of fixed definition of international currency,
bitcoin is not regulated by the government so we can call it anything we want to, but for me it is already an international currency.
Yes, agree that there is no fixed definition but to my understanding an international currency is the one which is used by two different countries when they make any trade deal or other official issue, and the same currency is if used by the rest of the world for the same purpose.

I like bitcoin because I earn it irrespective of my region as like the others from a different region. But still I can’t term it international currency.
1560  Other / Archival / Re: Do you agree with idea "Bitcoin bank" ? on: April 28, 2017, 06:16:06 PM
Bitcoin is an ideal system that is designed to do without the services of banks. Therefore, I do not understand why complicating this process. Bitcoin Bank will not bring anything for users except for extra costs and control
For the people who are not much educated to use the computer and internet facilities can start using bitcoin if banking service is started. But as said the decentralization will soon gets destroyed, because the firm having control of the banking system hold the control.
I don’t agree to the point as you are thinking only in a narrow perspective. Looking to it with a broad perspective there maybe people who may not be good users of the internet and computer. Like if someone has invested in bitcoin but he is not capable enough to keep his wallet properly or work with it properly. He may need someone’s services to drive for him.

However the idea of bitcoin bank will be getting realized into our life very soon. I believe people will make themselves get ready for adopting it. Otherwise they could not survive in this digital era.
