Offizial Update you get here:
http://www.innosilicon.com/html/support_en/download.html

Don't have to bother them via mail, i guess.

EDIT: Ok i see first now, that i might have difference to the older version via mail.

Are there any good reasons we're missing such that we'd pay 2% to Slushpool, when most other pools are 0.9 - 1.0% ?

We believe that our advanced worker management and device monitoring is pretty good reason and this functionality can save you more money at the end. But of course – the decision is on each miner. However we know that we are 'too expensive' for some miners and we are thinking about making changes.

This is a fascinating claim.

In what ways can this save money at the end?

Does Slushpool have inband device configuration or adjustment options?

I notice that with these Innosilicon A9 devices one can't even get into the UNIX/Linux shell to kill the irritating HTML-monitor logout tendency.  It would be pleasantly surprising that your pool has some way to adjust device operation inband.

I used now several pools, and Antpool was kinda the most disgusting one in the end result, endless slow, shitty app kinda strange, forces you everytime to fucking bitcoin and you have to change everytime to english from chinese before you can really use the site.

I have now used slushpool for 2 days, and i can tell you simply they REALLY DESERVE THOSE 2% PROZENT !!!! It is just fucking awesome fast. Even from vacation, the app is also verified by apple and serious listed on app store. The fucking Antpool app wants first some shady verification for their shady certs.

Also Antpool wants a fucking phone number and so and and it just works like shit.

And besides the shity panel and feeling overall, i get also LESS!!! I got like 0,74 ZCash in one day, i get paid every 3 Hours, not like antpool once a day.
I get usually now average everytime above 0,64 zCash, so i get MORE, so i do not even feel those 2% no, i only feel it that everything works fucking smooth and beautiful.
(Edit: before i got like 0,4 to 0,5- like 20-40% less, when i calculate now i realise, it is like they claim, its just awesome  Grin)

Really i am more then Happy to PAY 2%, but guess WHAT ? I got an mail, that the Fees will drop to 0%, so fuck antpool really fuck that shit hard only fucking problems.
I had to restart my device every 1-2 days, it seems already kinda to my like antpool is sabotaging the A9, but for some it seems to work well.

But really Slushpool has even a Support, and they wrote me even without writing them, that saw that i connected my A9 and that i can ask them any question, and that the pool god optimised for the a9.

I don't know but the difference was just so kinda big, i really fucking love slushpool! Their genius dudes, specialised in pools. Their are just doing everything clean as fuck! I love kinda work like this, it is work done with love and passion, and you feel it and i am sure they have a bright future.

EDIT: It may not have as many settings as antpool but it just works much cleaner, smoother  and flawless and as specially i get more return, at least with my experience.

2% is obscene, unless you're new to mining and their scoring method supports pool hopping as ramp up is to quick. You'll see hash rate flux dramatically as people try to guess when the blocks come (ZEC and BTC). Maybe it's better now if there's more hash and the pull from dedicated pool miners isn't as soaked up.

Find a good PPLNS scoring pool with a lower fee.
1542  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: The Antminer Z9 "non-mini" is available from Bitmain on: July 10, 2018, 02:19:32 PM
Less "listed" hash than inno's and more power draw but looks like ROI projections should be sustainable for a 35 day wait.
1543  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Innosilicon releases A9 Zmaster 50ksol/s Equihash miner at 620W on: July 10, 2018, 06:01:58 AM
If you're lucky there will be firmware to fix this. They do advertise +/-6% so I'd reach out to them directly if your variance is more (in the lesser degree obviously). They don't see to be active in the forums here so it might be best. We recommend our buyers to inform us, so we may reach out to Innosilicon for you.

ROI with 45k sols should still be very nice. Enjoy, and good luck.

1545  Bitcoin / Group buys / Re: T2 Group on: July 10, 2018, 04:15:12 AM
got unit and credit in zec, 1265.09 final. thanks if anyone here jumped in.

Ok, great. $1.3k seemed really high for a final invoice for the T2. Enjoy the hardware. Mine on.

Edit: High for being a a purchase with coin not card.

Serious question, have read the thread:

Looking to move 30+ PH/s of hashing currently pointed towards SlushPool (2/3 of it is ASICBoost T1s).

Other than variable output in a smaller pool, is this a worthwhile move?  Less than excited for the 5N ramp up time, but understand and looking for a longterm home.

Move half over and ramp up, then pull the other half over if you don't want to wait. Otherwise just wait to push everything over on your next power billing cycle.

Thank you for all the reply's, I was intending to express my shock through humor being a newer user. I'm grateful and appreciative of those here.

Beer looks good, food sounds great. I may have to sacrifice another pinot to the block gods if we get a good run in again. Thanks to everyone on another block!

@CG, scotch huh? Been a while, usually have more whiskey. What your label?

@tfbiii, Such a great show. Great news to, will be happy to watch more. No spoilers though I still have to catch up!

Where are my manners.

So, I drank the winderlea to celebrate a great block run, four days straight. Passed out on the couch last night watching expanse.

Feel pretty good about that. Block tomorrow?

P.S. I hate and actively avoid the drama but someone seems hellbent on finding an excuse to bring it up.

I know I talk to much.

Good news:  Power in == heat generated, so it really doesn't matter if your using GPUs or ASICs.

Power use is considerably less with GPU mining compared to asics, requiring less less in CFM to exhaust. If you're a GPU only miner you can save on draw for cooling compared to asic mining, increasing profits. Apples and Oranges. Semantics maybe but still discussion worthy. As well putting the post in int he correct area for community replies.

MathChallengedWeenie does though Smiley
Kindly fek off back to your sycophants who, like you, are incapable of understanding that constants don't change and thus constants don't change.

Just sipping my coffee here, wondering about the history regarding this exchange. No explanation needed, we'll just let my imagination run with this one. Tongue

Who tha hell drinks wine from Oregon  Undecided

Lots of people, we're famous for pinot. Smiley

Yes we are, and I don't even drink wine.

Oregon pinot even has specific glasses if we really want to get fancy about it.
1559  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Basement ventilation advice on: July 06, 2018, 05:06:40 PM
Looks like GPU's not asics, not sure if this will get moved or not since you're probably not mining bitcoin.

Unless you are and you have asics? Then you'll want much more than a 290 CFM bathroom fan.

https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00155SA92/ref=ox_sc_sfl_title_8?ie=UTF8&psc=1&smid=ATVPDKIKX0DER

This would be better but you'd still probably want more CFMs for asic mining. I would recommend exhausting outside not into the next room or area as this will be the air that is then again moved into the mining room. So you'll want the inline duct fan as well to get the air out through the ducting. The pull from the ceiling will draw air in naturally unless your room is sealed (most aren't). A basement should be cold(er) even in the summer and if temps are typical room temperature you're in good shape.

If you want more flow into the room:

Might work or something similar, this should be a two pack. You can mount a fan to the door with the vent installed but will want to have a solid door not a hollow one.

I imagine more experienced miners than I might chime in soon.

...Also, the computer genie readout seems misleading. "If we hit a block right now, I'd get:

     0.019927% of the current payout

     0.00250248 BTC

     $16.56 (at $6618.34 BTC/USD)"
....
What do you feel is "misleading" about that?  Huh
If we hit a block, at that instant, that's exactly what you'd get paid in that block.

Only thing misleading is our luck right now.

I havent opened the Winderlea from before yet. I suppose the right thing to do is wait? Should we take a poll?

*edit to denote that our luck is awesome right now*
Actually, the other thing that is misleading is that I did not receive a payout when the computer genie readout was about .00245 btc at the last block and I was on the payout list but not on the coinbase list for the block at btc.com.

Only CG can answer to his work. I know he was kind enough to build that for people with basic questions like time to block, ramp up duration etc. it's not misleading. It's a helpful tool.

You probably just missed cut off while ramping up when the block hit, looks like 0.0019 was the last before alternating payout. With 60 th/s your derp will move into a solid payout rate even while ramping up here, which it may have already.
