We (cyberianmine .de) provides hosting for these if anyone is interested. You can order from Bitmain directly with shipping to us, or buy one of the machines we have ordered ourself.

I wonder if these OC as good as the Z9 mini!

Less "listed" hash than inno's and more power draw but looks like ROI projections should be sustainable for a 35 day wait.

These won't be as loud as s9's but yes much louder than gpu rigs.

Now we know why Inno was desperate to sell its A9 by Monday at $9999 with one free.

If this over-clocks like mini then Inno will be selling A9 for $2400 soon.

We'll the opposite is true if Bitmain raises the price like they did the e3.

Unless it overclocks nice, it doesn't make sense to buy one over the minis. 3 minis overclocked will give you around 48k sol/s with around same power use for $1k cheaper.

If they overclock the same as a mini (+60%) then it should be equal to about 4 of them at about the same power consumption. divided by 4 the price should be $829.75 vs $850, but also much cheaper in shipping since it's only 1 unit. so to me it seems a little bit of a better value with the risk being the assumption that they overclock as well as the minis.

But for the mini, you can use 4 coupons instead of 1.

Very good point, I didn't consider that. Also batch 2 minis should arrive a week or so earlier than the non minis.

I've been considering getting more minis... Now that this is out, minis are the clear choice...

How long do you guys think a mini will take to break even that ships in late august?

Will this be louder than the minis??
The minis can be operated relatively quietly.

it should be equal to about 4 of them at about the same power consumption.

Alternatively it could just be the equivalent of 2 minis already overclocked with better cooling. 6 connectors means it only has twice as many hashboards. If they aren't bigger hashboards with more chips then they could just be testing the waters to see who's willing to pay. Might be reason why they aren't listing detailed specs. Jihan confirmed it's existence before minis were even shipping and said it was louder and 3-4x faster than mini.

Assuming coin prices stayed constant with today's price... We'd need to get an estimate of how many total A9's, Z9 mini's, and Z9's are sold in order to determine that. Otherwise if you're just comparing off today's numbers you're not going to account for the increased difficulty, and you're projections will look much better than actual return. Happy to put together an estimate if anybody has an idea on the expected difficulty increase.

This wouldn't surprise me either. Another person here did a hardware breakdown of the Z9 mini and suggested it likely has even more headroom for even higher clock speeds but that bitmain was throttling it. They might simply be increasing this limit for the non minis. If it's really just 2 heavily stock OCd minis some folks are going to be pretty upset if they don't get that additional 60%.

I almost bought one. But then noticed that Inno's ship July so the global hashrate will be much higher even if I'm the first that gets his hand on a Z9.
What I did last year was buy a miner then resell it. Just one not more to dry the supply like some do. But this is too expensive to take the risk. I profited on the L3+ about 2k euro but I went even on the D3 last year. If this was about 2kUSD I'd buy it.

If it's really just 2 heavily stock OCd minis some folks are going to be pretty upset if they don't get that additional 60%.

It's not just that. You get 2 minis for the price of 4. It's too expensive.

I think its quite comical they basically took Z9 Mini price and x4

..and they are requiring a 50% up front deposit  Roll Eyes
