1541  Economy / Speculation / Re: The time has finally come...??? on: July 29, 2023, 09:57:34 AM
Please, read before replying, I don't need comments that are off point lol.

The last bull run had everyone on the tip of their toes, a lot of people strongly believed that Bitcoin's (BTC) price was going to reach, or possibly cross, the $100,000 price range, which never happened. And there were some who had unbelievable expectations like $500,000 and above, lol (we all know that's not happening anytime soon).
You were not on this forum at that time. When bitcoin got to $63500 the second time and increased to $69000 which was in November 2021, people have been thinking that the bull market would turn to bear market on this forum. Not long, the bear market started. We were not predicting all-time-high of $100000, only few thought of that.

Now with the recent events that have taken place, we all can see the bull rising off the dusts, we can almost tell it's about to happen again, maybe by next year or two.  Huh

I would love to know you all's predictions for the next bull. I'm thinking anywhere around $100,000? May looking at how far the previous bull runs were able to reach, I think that would be a good price to place it , but I'm still open to whatever wild opinions you all may have. Roll Eyes
We are now predicting all-time-high of over $100000 this time. I predict $170000.
1542  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Had 165k ETH stolen last night. on: July 29, 2023, 08:08:14 AM
Regarding the transaction and tracking it. You can hope the scammer makes a mistake and sends it to a CEX with a KYCed account. But even if they do, you'll have to file a police report with local authorities who will have to start an investigation. The exchange won't lock or freeze anyone's coins without proof and the involvement of a government agency.
It is also possible that the person did not send it to an exchange. Hackers are perfect in some ways. If an exchange is used and the person have scam tactics, it is possible that everything about the person is fake, like fake KYC. To know if the person sent it to an exchange, I think there are wallet explorer that can do that? Chain analytic organizations can also help him out, even beyond sending the money to an exchange.
1543  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Is copy trading a viable option for newcomers? on: July 29, 2023, 07:58:03 AM
Copy trading has gained immense popularity in the crypto industry since its introduction. Bitget, being one of the pioneers in this field, remains one of the largest platforms for copy trading cryptocurrencies. Many consider it an appealing choice for beginners, but is it truly effective for those who are new to trading?
I have been seeing copy trading on many big exchanges, like Binance, Kucoin, Huobi and many mother exchanges. It is something that is no more new in crypto again.

About your question, I will advice beginners to learn trading. Because a leader trading (the person you are copying) is winning today, that does not means he will not have losses tomorrow.

Another thing is that the leverage you use and the leverage the lead trader use may be different. Your trade may have higher leverage and riskier. But you can easy know the leverage the lead trader is using.

Learn how to trade yourself is the best approach for trading.

Know that copy trading or not, trading your self or not, trading is very risky.
1544  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling experience using loan money on: July 28, 2023, 02:53:08 PM
I’m not trying to become judgemental here but that’s how I can interpret a loan that received using casino account. I saw users on Darkstar loan thread before that receive loan via tip on their casino account while that specific casino has withdrawal fee and wagering requirements. I doubt that the loan money will not be used on gambling purposes or else they should use regular wallet address.

I don’t want to mention names here but you can check it for yourself on Darkstar loan thread.
You might be right to an extent, but I have few people that I know that have collected loan on this forum before. I know four people that collected loan on this forum before, only one person used it for trading, the remaining three people use it for life related things which is neither trading nor gambling.

Let us leave that alone because it is not even the main discussion. Borrowing money to gamble is stupidity. A responsible gambler will never do that.
1545  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling experience using loan money on: July 28, 2023, 02:44:09 PM
I personally have never gambled using borrowed money
I had and I was so stupid. I realized after I lost all the money the same day that I borrowed it. Not at once, but as I continued to gamble with it and all got lost to gambling.
1546  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling experience using loan money on: July 28, 2023, 02:33:47 PM
Collecting a loan and using it to gamble is stupidity.

If someone is gambling with loan money, surely the person will most likely lose the money. The person is likely addicted and gambling addicts will continue to lose.

Gamble responsibly with the amount you can afford to lose.

I saw many high rank users here that asking for loan and directly deposit the loan amount on gambling account. I want to know what's the experience on using loan money. Is there additional pressure on gameplay or just the same using regular money without an interest rate.
How did you know what they are using the borrowed money for? Guessing makes you not to be right.
1547  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Deposit limits on: July 28, 2023, 12:34:31 PM
But it's not easy to be a responsible gambler because we really have to be able to set limits and be committed to maintaining those limits. And indeed, if there is a feature like that, it can help gamblers to become responsible gamblers so they don't cross the line. Everything depends on you because you are responsible for the money, so you must prevent excessive use. If you are successful, you will not become addicted to gambling because you always pay attention to spending your money while playing gambling.
What that matters most is what that comes from you, not what that comes from the gambling sites. You can have more than one gambling sites. If one restrict you because of the limit that you set, you can use the other. Some gamblers know other gambling sites too that they can easily register and play games, this do happen.

When a gambler engages in uncontrolled gambling, some casinos and gambling platforms may ask the gambler to take a temporary break. But most casino gambling platforms don't want to take such initiative because this will make them loss in business.
Are you sure about this? When I was using fiat casinos before I joined this forum, I was addicted, I have three different local gambling sites and bet365 which is foreign, none of them stopped me from gambling after I have lost such much more on the four gambling sites. They even make deposit to be easy and fast within seconds.
1548  Economy / Speculation / Re: $30000 is becoming the resistant price on: July 28, 2023, 10:26:41 AM
I am optimistic that the bitcoin price will close above $30k by the end of this July. Very close of course given the current $29,100 - $29,500 price range, but the market needs a stronger push. $30k doesn't have to be an impenetrable resistance although the corrections that have taken place in the last few days have left some people a bit unsettled. I am highly optimistic about a July close above $30k, it will definitely be better to expect bigger moves in August.

Of course there is no certainty due to the high volatility of the trades. Panic traders have made it easier for the market to burn out instead of holding above $30k, but it's good for testing a new support level.
Becuse traders sell or go short, that does not mean that they are panic. It depends on their analyses and prediction. Like me, I have seen that it possible for bitcoin to get to $29000 when I started this thread, analysis has indicated this when bitcoin was not able to increase above $30400.

If bitcoin price stays too much within $29000 and $30000, and if it decrease slightly below $29000, it is possible for us to see $25000 again, although seeing $27000 to be another resistance. This is just a prediction, the market might be otherwise.
1549  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Deposit limits on: July 28, 2023, 10:16:05 AM
I do not understand what exactly the point in a deposit limit would even be in the first place? A marketing tactic?
It is common on gambling sites located in EU like UK that has more gambling regulation.

What I can imagine the deposit limit could be used for is for minimal AML law limits. Like on some cryptocurrency exchanges. Perhaps, if you deposit below the limit of a certain amount then certain regulations can be loop-holed or something?
It has nothing to do with AML. Try and read more about deposit limit in responsible gambling.

A gambling casino which has deposit limits sounds weird.
Having a limit to the amount that you can spend within certain period of time is good for gambling site to have it, but only the 24 hours is effective (provided if the punter do not move to another of his gambling account site to continue to gamble for that day), others like 7 days and 30 days are not effective.
1550  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What will be the impact of this news on Bitcoin adoption ? on: July 28, 2023, 10:06:10 AM
Zero, why?
Because Satimoto doesn't own a single charging station!
Because those charging stations don't accept Bitcoin directly but through their app which converts bitcoin with cash.

So it's like saying Walmart accepts Bitcoin because you can pay with a Binance Visa card funded with bitcoin.
This is serious. Which means the impact can even be less than zero. They make people that have bitcoin to pay with bitcoin, but the app which makes it possible is converting the bitcoin to fiat. If there is more bitcoin sales, the price would be reducing. Or would this not lead to what that I am thinking?
1551  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Top 5 Things to Consider When Choosing an Online Casino on: July 27, 2023, 10:09:01 PM
Security is the most important aspect of any online casino. The most secure online casinos currently in existence are those that are bitcoin casino or other crypto casinos.
Fiat casinos too are secure. But we prefer bitcoin and other crypto casinos because of the ease of transactions. There are some crypto casinos that belongs to scammers. Reputation is important.

When we say security, we mean your information and your money. Non-crypto casinos require all your information, sometimes even the last four of your social security number, before you can open an account and start betting.
If it is security, it means how safe your money is after you credited your casino account. Anything that has to do with KYC is not about security but privacy.

Crypto and bitcoin casinos require an email. That’s it. Also, every deposit and withdrawl is via a specific code. So the chances of your transactions being hijacked is close to zero.
There are some crypto casinos that make KYC mandatory. You need to start reading the terms of services of the gambling sites that you are using. Be it KYC or no-KYC crypto casinos. Both KYC and no-KYC casinos always include that they can demand for verification from any user at anytime. I am referring to centralized casinos which are what most people are using.

KYC and how safe your transaction is are not related at all.

Nowadays, bitcoin and crypto casinos offer as many games as traditional online casinos. The difference is that BTC casinos and crypto casinos are truly fair. Some online casinos say they use an RNG, but they don’t always.
Just like I have said before, there are reputable fiat and reputable crypto casinos. There are fiat and crypto casinos that are not also reputable.

1552  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I'll always tell people about bitcoin on: July 27, 2023, 07:16:12 PM
Because of the risk that is in bitcoin it won't stop me from telling people about bitcoin which will better their life if they found it interesting.
If you tell them about the risk. That is good. I have told many people that are close to me about bitcoin but I also let them know the risk. I even do it in a way they can be afraid to invest, but also in a way I will let them know the best time to invest.

This is honestly easier said than done — a lot of people will be putting some blame on you regardless if you say it's risky and it wouldn't be your responsibility of they lost money.
If they do their research and they do not trade but hold at the right time, they will be forever happy that they know about bitcoin investment. All-time-high is promising.
1553  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling should be play with care on: July 27, 2023, 04:50:44 AM
Although only few people got involved in thispoll, but with more people that comment, most of us on this forum are gambling responsibly.

Weekly gambling budget is good. I think it should not be more than 5% of your weekly income. If you gamble with just 5% out of 100%, I think that is a responsible gambling.

To avoid gambling addiction, it starts from using little budget.

1556  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Pro Trader Free Analises on: July 26, 2023, 08:13:54 PM
BTC fail to rupture ascending triangle meaning it will test $26.5k support, than it will bounce to $35k/$40k once it touches $26,5k Zone and after this bounce it may reach last historic top and may surpass it.
I think there would still be one more price drop before halving, but the time may not be anytime soon. What I know now is that the price of bitcoin may not go beyond $32000, but likely the price may drop later, after long period of time of not growing, it may reach $25000. If the price did not increase for long and it decreased below $25000 and not able to get over $25000, that would be another time we would soon reach $20000. If there is any worst case, bitcoin is not going below $17000 anymore before the next big bull run.
1557  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What will be the impact of this news on Bitcoin adoption ? on: July 26, 2023, 03:43:02 PM
So, now bitcoin will be accepted as  a mode of payment at 60000 EV stations across Europe. Personally, I feel this is going to have a very positive impact on crypto adoption. More countries will hopefully take similar decisions soon.
What that makes this more interesting to read is that it shows how lightning network can help. I see this as a means of how bitcoin lightning network adoption is increasing.

Specifically, German start-up Satimoto currently has around 60,000 EV charge points that accept non-custodial and pseudonymous charging and payment through the Lightning network in multiple European countries, as the company stated on Twitter while sharing a part of its recent (not yet published) map on July 26.

But this type of news may not just cause increase in bitcoin price, but as the adoption goes on, expect more positivity and increase in bitcoin price.
1558  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Pros and Cons of Crypto vs. Traditional Gambling on: July 26, 2023, 03:25:59 PM
Both casinos have to adopt or else they will be left behind, crypto casinos can't still operate without a fiat back up since many gamblers still prefer a more secured way to protect their money against volatility.
As long as people are using fiat, there will always be fiat casinos. As long as people are using crypto, there will always be crypto casinos. There is no one among the two (fiat and crypto gambling sites) that gamblers will leave behind since there are many fiat and crypto casinos that are providimg what gamblers want.

Same thing with the fiat casinos since the trend is with crypto right now, if they will not adopt for sure gamblers will leave them and that can hurt their business. Both market have their own pros and cons, just choose what's best for you.
The trend is in crypto, but there are still far more fiat gambling sites.

The most reasonable reason why credit card companies hate sportsbooks is because of business competition. Credit card companies don't want to take the risk of funding someone's account without any guarantee.
Who are the credit cards company competing with? Is it the gambling site? The more they work together, the better the gain for the credit card company. I do not see any competition between them.
1559  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Pros and Cons of Crypto vs. Traditional Gambling on: July 26, 2023, 10:11:52 AM
I’ll chime in and add another pro to the crypto gambling list: you can stay addicted without having to risk money you own. Or, you used to be able to do it at least.

There was Freebitcoin and PrimeDice (my ole lovers lol) which allowed you to claim a faucet and gamble it. I won around 0.02 BTC a few years ago by gambling the PrimeDice faucet claim with a 0.01% win chance. Literally $0 investment except electricity and time and a now-worth ~$600 win for it! Cheesy I don’t know of any fiat gambling sites/casinos that let you claim free money to gamble with.
If you want to claim money on Freebitco, it is just 0.00000007 BTC every hour. That is very small. Bitcoin price has decreased below $30000, but if I should use $30000 to calculate it, that is just $0.0021 dollar for an hour. That is a thousand times before you can earn $2.1. I prefer deposit bonus and other promotional offers that other gambling sites offer instead.
1560  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 5 Bitcoins to never gamble again. Will you take it? on: July 25, 2023, 03:18:57 PM
You can move this to off-topic. I will stop gambling and take 5 BTC. I believe that is what other people will do too if they are not very rich and unable to afford 5 BTC easily.
