anoncoin looks like a coin that could perform as bc but not many info on this coin, it's a pity

Hi friend, BC is a coin that cannot be mined any more that's why Wink

on the other hand there will be one and one only pool available soon, in the form of a multipool, buying other alt coins and paying out in BC

http://blackcoinpool.com/

I know that BC can't be mined any more, but instead people mine other alts via multipool (at least that is my understanding) to then convert to BC and then get paid, but actually getting started mining is the main issue many people face.

Give me a broken PC (hardware or software) and I can fix it. I write quite a few tutorials on my site helping people with general PC issues, but when it comes to editing .conf files, I find myself befuddled. It's actually very embarrassing that I can't seem to get it, but I guess everyone has their strengths.

I'm quite far from a pc guru myself, and also very new in this world.

I started learning just by reading around alot, and experimenting with cpuminer just on my laptop and getting 14ks/s lol

but that's how you learn things and move up.

Most people what they do now is they mine for example litecoin, or other coins and use them on an exchange such as mintpal to buy bc's

For those on the sidelines, don't loose your head. Btw 3200 - 3400 is good entry. This run needs to be capped its climbing too quick.

yes I bought this midday at 3150

Yeh, bought most of mine before that, but figured that BC was the only coin that was consistently increasing in price over the past week. That along with the awesome devs and community, makes it a coin to go all-in on.

It's kind of concerning investing everything in one coin, but having read most things about the coin, including every page in this thread; I have a decent amount of confidence.

I'm all in making my last crypto stand in BC, I've lost alot of money to mining inflation and pump schemes I hope to find some stability, it's also nice for a change to in essence have the miners working to help make me money for a change (no offense to any miners reading this!)

I'm still mining Heavycoin as I can't for the life of me figure out the .bat or .conf files that I need to mine BC, even when given the standard instructions on the various mining pools (which is the same on all of them). When you download the CGMiner file, I honestly have no clue what to edit to start mining. Really wish the pools would create simple .bat and or .conf files for new miners as it would allow more people to mine on basic systems (single GPU's)

The reason I am mining HVC is because 1.GH make mining dead simple, as all I have to do is change the default HVC address to my own.

Sorry to come across as a mining noob, but admittedly that's what I am.

better start with http://greece.prominer.org/ imho

only ones offering 0% fee for a week

Hope their 0% fees cover the costs of protection and stability.

true,  but we wont know that the ones covering fees will actually use it for protection and stability

Been busy selling all of my other altcoins for BC, but MintPal seems to have run out of BC. Still have 30K worth of BC waiting to buy if anyone has any to sell?

Yeah it's a rush on BC all the sudden, I'm also affraid to buy in right now and see a dump happening
1550  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: GridSeed 5-chip USB miner voltage mod on: March 22, 2014, 03:04:57 AM

Yep... not any more. I think ghash was just trying to quickly get a ton of hash. Wonder how much they paid for it and if people will actually stick there once the rewards are back to normal now. I for one like p2p better... so usually when I mine LTC, I bring up my own node..

I went there just for the time of the offer

How did you guys hear about it?
Are you members too?
I am and did not hear a thing!
Wolfey5050

I have seen it on http://cryptomining-blog.com

they announced that Ghash would hold the 1 week offer. But it was a one time offer to attract people to them for the launch of litecoin there

There are 19 pools in the OP, but I only see that 5 of them are actually working:

- YourMine (47% of network hash)
- Poolerino (33% of network hash)
- Hash.so (11% of network hash)
- CoinMine (1% of network hash)
- IDCray (Less than 1%)
- CharityPool (3% of network hash)

Rofo, you should update the post so newcomers to the coin can easily get set up and running.  Other than that, this looks like a great coin.  I think I am going to start mining myself shortly.  Ive had enough playing around with Dogecoin and am ready to start getting involved with a REAL coin!

I'm using nobl.poolerino, works great
1554  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Marketplace (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Fibonacci SCRYPT ASIC Litecoin LTC Miners - Datasheet Posted on: March 22, 2014, 01:27:34 AM
We have disabled the purchasing for the day while we make some changes to the site and will update here when it is re-enabled.

Can't wait, wanted to order a recursion today Smiley
1555  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: GridSeed 5-chip USB miner voltage mod on: March 21, 2014, 11:52:59 PM
What are y'all using the gridseeds for anyways? Multipools?

Yes, I believe most of us are.
Hardly anyone is running dual mode as it's just not really worth mining SHA anymore unless you can mine in the TH/s ranges.

I'm certainly considering my options differently now but it's still cool to be able to make money this way even though the daily income is less than $10 mining only LTC.

I tried ScryptGuild multipool but they didn't impress me as I was making less per day where I should have been making 30% to 40% more per the site owner.
It would be great if my 6 GS5's made me at least $2+ per day!

Wolfey2014

10$ only LTC is with using 6 GS's to mine ?

what pool are you using that makes you the most profit at this moment? multipool.us?

Actually as stated, "less than $10/day". Honestly it's just a hair under $10 per day.

In a 24 hour period I make, .40 LTC out of 6 miners running at 850MHz avg. each = $9.098892 per day Grin

Not too shabby for 6 little miners, eh? Will be making a bit more profit once I get them all stably overclocked.

Wolfey2014

Pea Ess.... www.litecoinpool.org ... sorry bout that!

I like litecoinpool.org and fee is relatively low for pps. I was mining at ghash.io the last week with their LTC promotion. Too bad didn't have all my gridseeds then

Why does that sound like a cheesy plug for ghash.io Huh Cheesy

w2014

No fees and give me 1.25x to 2x more. Sure why not. At regular reward, no longer mining LTC there. There are better places.

Cool!
Do you mean at ghash.io you're making up to 2X more than I am at litecoinpool?
What is your average?
w2014.2

Wolfey, there was a one week offer at ghash for Litecoin mining that gave a bonus from 1.25 to 2x what you were mining, depending on the pool hash rate. I think he's reffering to that
1556  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: GridSeed 5-chip USB miner voltage mod on: March 21, 2014, 11:05:01 PM
So if I'm right, 10$ a day, you will break even in around 3/4 months depending the price you paid them ?

correct me if I'm wrong
