Afaik OP is just repeating which has been discussed here multiple times. Rather repeating what most of us know why not tell us how these points helped you in your trading journey. Share your experience and do tell us how you improved your trading outcome with help of those points. It doesn't matter some of them did good or bad I would like to know how it all went. If you don't have anything practical to share then don't bother creating such topics in the future.
1543  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Cockfighting? on: August 23, 2023, 06:29:27 AM
For me, this is a sick kind of entertainment where animals are put in a cage and prompted to fight. The losing cock always ends with wounds that result in their death. How can people call this entertainment? Betting can be done on anything but betting on horse race is different, and, in this game, it is madness. I was going through the Wikipedia page dedicated to this blood sport and found that it is an ancient sport. Not only is southeast Asia but in other continents, the cockfighting game still exists.
1544  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How long can Bitcoin out perform inflation in the long run? on: August 23, 2023, 06:10:32 AM
Every four years seems to be the best way if you want to sell at the highest, don't sell your coins every year because Bitcoin isn't in bull run season.

For me, I have not yet sell my coins. I only sell small amount in order to buy foods, pay bills, household, electricity etc. The rest of my coins, I continue to hold until I don't know when I sell because I'm not really focus to increase my coins by selling my coins, I'm focus to develop my skill to get paid higher and continue DCA-ing.

Taking periodic profits will always lock on the gain and might outpace inflation.  I would say take an average of 5 to 10 years than 4 years. Major gains in Bitcoin have been realized in those periods if you check the history. There are many here who believe in indefinite hold and by doing that they are missing opportunities that Bitcoin is giving them. If I had a few stashes of Bitcoin, I would have booked some profit when Bitcoin last hit an ATH.
1545  Bitcoin / Wallet software / Re: Multi-sig, Non-Custodial Wallet on: August 22, 2023, 02:45:44 PM
Even in a multi-sig set up, you must have backups of your seed phrases and master public keys. Take note that while you are right that an attacker needs your seed phrase or keys to steal your funds, if your wallet is online or has a single point of failure, the chances of a successful attack increases, that is the purpose of extra layers of security like multi-sig wallet, passphrase, etc.
Yes, that is the purpose of multisig wallets. You can have the wallet setup on different devices and which increases its security. But as for passphrase, it is most helpful against offline attack. There are many wallets that their seed phrase and passphrase can be seen on the wallet and this makes the passphrase not to be that helpful online as an attacker that compromised such wallet already can know both the seed phrase and passphrase.
I understand both of you, and I am not in conflict with your reasoning. What I said was clear and concise. I don't want a multisignature wallet with all its configuration mumbo jumbo. I would rather have a hardware wallet and use my online wallet for trading purposes. I understand that wouldn't suffice for my security. Then it is better to have more than one wallet and use it according to my personal needs. I am not a businessman. I am a user who is not disclosing his identity and does constantly change his wallet address.
1546  Local / India / Re: Which Indian crypto influencer are you following? on: August 22, 2023, 09:34:37 AM
I am only following Kashi Raza as he is very active and as us he only talks about Bitcoin. I am have no clue about others that you have mentioned. On X.com I am following Elon Musk and CZ as they both are know for influencing the crypto market. On reddit I am following r/Bitcoin, r/cryptocurrency and r/Bitcoin India. At the moment Bitcoin India is not what it used to be a year back. So think before you join that subreddit.

Thanks for your suggestion! I was not aware of this subreddit and just like our forum I think checking Reddit would be a good idea. I am following Elon Musk too but would now follow CZ on X. Looking for Indian influencers if you can recommend me more than I would be grateful.
1547  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Serious Sportsbet problem, they paid 38.32 LTC to the wrong address on: August 22, 2023, 09:26:36 AM
The second screenshot does prove that it is your mistake, you are claiming that you have inputted the wrong address. If you input wrong address, then how can you ask them to send it to the correct address of yours. In this case I do not think the casino has done anything wrong they quickly went ahead and cleared your withdrawal request to address given by you.

1548  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: what is a spot bitcoin ETF? on: August 22, 2023, 09:16:44 AM
I think to understand it you should read this article from Bitcoin magazine. I found it easy to understand than the link shared by Investopedia. I did have the same question and after reading the article I found that it is an open-end fund that can be redeemed or issued just like shares. The price is the spot price of Bitcoin and ETF is traded on all major exchanges.
1549  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: I will pass KYC later is a bad idea on: August 21, 2023, 10:37:43 AM
The worst part is when you deposit big play a few games then want to withdraw. In such case if the user fails to pass KYC then he might lose his deposit money. It is good to pass KYC and then make deposit to safeguard the deposit amount.  I don't think there is any harm in doing KYC before playing as eventually you would be asked to do it sometime later by the casino.
1550  Economy / Gambling / Re: MoneyPot - Crash with the lowest house edge on: August 21, 2023, 10:32:53 AM
Just visited the website as of now I have been exploring the different pages. I saw that they are only accepting Bitcoin at the moment and I hope they continue to do the same. The even have launched their signature campaign and I was expecting them to launch a few Bitcointalk exclusive offers to gain more members. Need more games as after sometime people get bored by playing the same game. If they want user return back then more games would be a good idea & continuous new offers for the community.
1551  Local / India / Which Indian crypto influencer are you following? on: August 21, 2023, 10:03:10 AM
Being comparatively new to this Industry and to stay up to date. I have been following a few crypto influencers on YouTube for the past three months. One of them on my list has been discussed by senior ranking members of this Board. There are only two influencers that I have been following.

  • Kashif Raza - Bitinngs
  • Monish Panda - Cryptoindia

Lately I found an Instagram channel nft_premier for daily quick news and update. I am looking for some more influencers like those present on X.com especially or on other platforms. Your recommendation would be highly appreciated.

Thanks.
1552  Bitcoin / Wallet software / Re: Multi-sig, Non-Custodial Wallet on: August 21, 2023, 09:38:47 AM
Mutisig is good strategy to safeguard your wallets from hacker. But, it is not that easy to configure if you plan to use it on two different devices. It is better to follow the old ways wherein you keep your backup phrases and Private key somewhere safe. Without the access of those two I don't think a hacker can get access to anyone's wallet. Other option is to have hardware wallet as they are not always connected to the internet. The cost of hardware wallets at the moment is not that high considering the level of security they provide. I would still prefer having a hardware wallet then a software one.
1553  Economy / Speculation / Re: 1 Bitcoin will be $173,566 before November, 2025 on: August 21, 2023, 08:59:40 AM
The prediction sounds very optimistic. If Bitcoin reaches the predicted price then OP might become the first human to accurately predict Bitcoin price movement. I know it can become less or more but I personally do not think Bitcoin would hit the bullzeye next year. Although halving does bring back the bull run but you need to consider the present global economic situation and it's repercussions in the coming months.

1555  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How was your first experience with gambling? on: August 20, 2023, 01:48:43 PM
Gambling is not the only source of money and it is very difficult to guarantee the exact amount of income as it involves luck. A source of cash is hard to come by its symptoms are virtually impossible to guess from the outside but gambling addiction can lead to serious mental problems. Gambling addiction has a very negative effect especially on marital and social life of people addicted to gambling, it can be seen that they become very excited by small gains and are motivated to gamble again, which poses a risk for them.

I am not a gambler, but from my understanding, the term 'source of income' does not align with the parameters of gambling. To consider something a productive source, a guaranteed input with a definitive outcome is required. For instance, as an employee, the input is both hard and smart work, and the output is a fixed or variable salary. The same principle applies to a business, where hard and smart work, along with capital, generate profit. In these examples, the sources have a definitive outcome of income. However, in gambling, the source is the deposit, but the probability of income is 50/50. Therefore, it cannot be considered a reliable source of income.

Thanks.
1556  Local / India / Re: what do you think about pi? on: August 20, 2023, 11:52:53 AM
I have about 3000 Pi coins in my wallet.

I completed all requirement to send coins to my mainnet wallet about one year back.

But till now they are not send my coins into my mainnet wallet.

Its seems, this project is purely scam.

You have learned the hard way. Sorry to hear that you went through such a pain & never got what you had earned. It is obviously a scam as no one can mine through mobile app. They have so many user information which they will use when they exit scam them. It is only a matter of time when we will hear about them as a scamming company.

Thanks.
1557  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How to use Bitcoin or crypto? on: August 20, 2023, 11:36:58 AM
You making it's complicated than it should be , before a company pays you in crypto-currency you and them should have reached an agreement concerning that and they must have told you that they do accept Bitcoin or any other crypto-currency as a means of exchange aside that there is an even more concrete way and that is getting your pay in what ever means they offer you and going to buy Bitcoin or the currency of your choice

Generally if you want to get paid in Bitcoin or I. Any other crypto an agreement is made on a fixed fiat value. For example if the fiat value agreed is $50 then the equivalent value Satoshi value would be paid regardless of the fluctuating Bitcoin price. The same condition applies for other crypto. It is not that complicated as the OP made it look like. There is zero complications when getting paid in Bitcoin. The only issue is that the recipient has to bear the transaction charges. At store they use the same method but the sender has to pay the fee.

Cheers!
1558  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: No, Elon Musk's SpaceX Isn't the Cause of This Multi-Billion-Dollar Bloodbath on: August 20, 2023, 10:27:22 AM
This may be the right time for anyone to take an entry and wait till halving. Of course there is a risk involved as in all kind of investment. I don't want to know the reason for this big dip as most of them are speculation. There can be multiple reason behind it but if you are a trader that this is the right opportunity to gain profit in by next year.
1559  Economy / Reputation / Re: Strange behaviour of too many alts at once. on: August 19, 2023, 08:05:47 AM
This is an old trick to scam anyone on social media platforms. Unfortunately such trick won't work on our forum due to active members. I have seen such kind of shillings on Twitter, Facebook & most commonly on Telegram channels. What looks interesting here is that those newbie accounts were created a long back. I guess they were created by bots and were made recently active. Looks like we might encounter more of such techniques to scam members in the future.
1560  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Failed to submit review and also did not refund the payment. on: August 19, 2023, 07:54:53 AM
All he had to was to submit the review within the time allocated by the BM. A Senior Member destroying his reputation for such a small amount is just foolishness. After reading the chat I doubt he would refund that amount in the future. If he does then it will be good for him and if he doesn't then his future here is over.
