1541  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is bitcoin being used for illegal activities on: June 28, 2016, 02:46:37 PM
I see more and more acrticles of bitcoin being used for illegal activities
will this hurt bitcoin in the long run , will governments ban this just like they started to do with paying in cash for some services
to harden the use of illegal , and money laundering

People already do that with traditional money, and if we used the space money they used in south park, then we would probably be doing that as well. When I say "we" then I mean mankind as whole/species. As long as there is a means to achieve desired goals, that means will be exploited and milked to the max. If in 100 years the entire planet is using TimeUnits, then again another person in the timeunittalk forum will ask "Is TimeUnit being used for illegal activities". Hopefully by that time the mindset of our species is a bit more educated overall so the answer can be a simple "no".  Grin
1542  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Have u ever received BTC accidentally or randomly? on: June 28, 2016, 02:37:19 PM
has it ever happened to u that u just had ur wallet opened and suddenly some BTC arrived out of nowhere?

like someone sent it to the wrong address or something?

like suddenly 0.3777 BTC are rolling in but u don't know who sent it, why it was sent and what it is all about?

~CfA~

IRL no, in my dreams it happens all time. At least once per week atm  Grin
1543  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Coinbase has partnered with Paypal - Officially! on: June 28, 2016, 02:35:09 PM
death to paypal, screw em! bitcoins don't need paypal, it's the other way around.  Time will tell. .....

I agree 100%, I have business accounts with neteller, paypal and all the other places, but I never use them anymore. The day I started with Btc, it has been my number one choice/method of transactions.. Its just so easy and simple. At long last!  Grin
1544  Other / Off-topic / Re: Average Age of Bitcoin users on: June 28, 2016, 02:30:25 PM
Just wondered what age the average buyer of Bitcoin is. Myself I'm 36.

27 here and guessing 18-35 is where it is at. Im teaching some of the older people I know about btc though  Grin
1545  Other / Off-topic / Re: How much do you earn per day on: June 28, 2016, 02:09:38 PM
Im curious  because im earning 0.005 per day , Im curious if it is a bit low. If it is a bitlow i will find another way to earn bitcoin again

Depends on the day, but I would say usually 0.001 min and 5.0 maximum  Grin

1547  Economy / Speculation / Re: If bitcoin dropped to $1, what you do? on: June 28, 2016, 11:44:30 AM
Exactly what the title says.

If bitcoin dropped to the price of a dollar (which we hope it never will), what would you do? Buy more and hold, sell? Buy a promising altcoin like ETH?

I personally would buy more bitcoin.

I would open up a few gambling sites on my browser, and watch the HR tabs being flooded with massive wagers, and of course, buy a few coins myself  Grin
1548  Economy / Speculation / Re: If bitcoin rose to $1M, what you do? on: June 28, 2016, 11:42:34 AM
Direct opposite of https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1438622.0

If bitcoin rose to $1M, what you do?

I personally would sell maybe 0.00001 BTC (about $10 if I'm not mistaken).

Whoa! Seeing that I have a few stashed away, I would cash them all in for sure, if it happens overnight of course. If it climbs up to that point in small increments slowly over time, then I would probably not have any coins left to sell at that point seeing as though i would of cashed them in at 10k or 100k  Grin
1549  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Who next do you think gonna run away with people BTC on: June 28, 2016, 11:37:35 AM
According to the topic; am thinking of Coince.com, Genesis Mining and Hashflare.
finger crossed watching from high distance sipping my coke and popcorn.

If i gamble with my BTC and win or loss is better than giving those egg-head my money to runaway.
Who do you think is next to parkupBTCBTCBTC

Circle will be the next one, I really hope they aren't but think its going to happen because a few of my friends had the same worries a while back. They told me payments got sorted out, but i don't know, the warning signs were there, reason why I don't use them at all  Grin
1550  Other / Off-topic / Re: du you spend coins on real life. on: June 28, 2016, 11:34:43 AM

I tried buying a bitcoin hardware wallet last month with my coin, can't remember what happened, but in the end I didn't buy it, but, yes I've bought a few things for myself IRL. Just waiting for Btc to become more widespread here where I live to actually do more hassle free purchases   Grin
1551  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will Bitcoin be replaced by another cryptocurrency? on: June 28, 2016, 11:21:13 AM
Does it make sense to believe that Bitcoin could one day be replaced by another cryptocurrency, that is, a cryptocurrency that really does make Bitcoin obsolete?

For sure it makes sense. Trading to forms of money that represent value so that you don't need to bring your chicken to swap for that piece iron, to the point of money actually just representing the time spent making that money for the worker, and when he spends it representing the value to the person receiving it.. If that makes any sense.. but one day paper money will be obsolete for sure. In 100years + who knows, the paradigm shift humans underwent through time getting there probably figured out automation is best. At some point everyone will have everything they need for free. I mean the robots will do it for us. We will just be living of the "automatic" land.. Until skynet happens and we go back to the stone age  Grin
1552  Other / Off-topic / Re: Have you ever lost Bitcoin? on: June 28, 2016, 11:13:39 AM
Have you ever lost Bitcoin?

If that happened, why?   Was it your own fault,  or were you scammed?

Yes, forgotten blockchain passwords, passphrases and of course gambling related losses. All my own fault  Grin
1553  Other / Off-topic / Re: What's your least favorite thing about Bitcoin? on: June 28, 2016, 11:10:40 AM
Tell me all about it

Usually where there is a Bitcoin, there is a troll nearby waiting to spam or scam or do something notorious .. If its true in every situation or not, the idea behind it bothers me.. and usually that is the situation  Grin
1554  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin: Does it have a POSITIVE IMPACT on your life? on: June 28, 2016, 10:58:58 AM
What would you say if I ask you: does Bitcoin have a positive impact on your life?

Did it change your life for the better? If so how and if not, why is that?

Yes I would think so, except for the fact that all my transactions are done in it, and all income comes from it, it has opened up many new doors for me, to businesses and friends and most importantly ideas.. I would think Btc only has a negative impact on governments that can't tax it (yet)  Grin
1555  Other / Off-topic / Re: How to motivate women to use Bitcoin? on: June 28, 2016, 10:41:45 AM
how we could motivate women to use Bitcoin because I tried several times to explain what it is and how to use Bitcoin ...was very difficult and have not really managed only once ..

Depends on the woman. Some men i know don't even really care about it. Perhaps do a search of some women celebrities that started accepting Btc. Next time you see that woman friend of yours, shove it in, in the middle of the conversation somewhere. "Oh, I wanted to tell you about Mel B and that she is using Btc now as well, which is crazy because I use it as well" blah blah ... "Seems this is getting more popular" .. The next time you see her, again somewhere in the middle of the conversation bring up how much Btc is worth right now, and that you found out the cost of sending "money" is super small, unlike banks which always overcharge. Just keep working it like that in a non intrusive manner and most of them will come around.

A year back when i started with Btc no one I knew cared about it at all. Right now, everyone I know, knows that I earn all income from Btc. They even know a bit about it, when it started, why it started etc. Persistence is key  Grin
1556  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: From 1 Bitcoin to 100 Bitcoins - what would you do then? on: June 28, 2016, 10:30:19 AM
When you would make with a altcoin for example from 1 Bitcoin 100 Bitcoins, what would you do then?

This would be right now about 65.000 Dollar.

1. Would you cash out everything?

2. Would you invest in 5 new icos with each 20 Bitcoins and hold long term (12 - 24 month) and hoping that some of that 5 icos will double your 20 Bitcoins again 10x or more times? = 500 or more Bitcoins

3. Would you invest in altcoins?

If a person has debts to pay IRL, then cashing out and paying off would be the logical choice for sure. If there are no lingering debts to be paid, then perhaps long term invest should suffice. I would perhaps cash out the initial deposit of 1 coin, and then play around with the rest of the "profits". DC alt coin would be invest option for me and they only need a dev, so the invest amount to get it up and running wouldn't much either. If im to lazy to do any of the above, I would cash it all out, but unfortunately I can't say what I would with it, as it could pull down the forums standards  Grin

1558  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Is Holding Bitcoin a long time good way to make money? on: June 27, 2016, 03:48:10 PM
I first got bitcoin from withdrawing from gambling sites.  I deposited with another method but could withdraw bitcoin so i did it.  Around that time bitcoin was around $220 usd or so and when i got it, i would then trade it for poker funds from other person etc because I didn't want to hold the bitcoins due to reading about price fluctuations.  However, isn't the value of bitcoin almost always going to go up so its best to hold it?  I know last year it was $600 and the highest was when it was more than $1000 per bitcoin.  But since it is all the way down to $200-$300, isn't having bitcoin always good?  Could bitcoin go all the way to 0 soon?  I had thought hey if you get bitcoin when its $230 when the price stayed like that for a long time, thats great b/c very hard for it to go below $200 because i haven't seen that.  But even if it does, isn't it almost always going to rebound and go back up?  Last time i had btc and it was $230 or so and now it went up to $260.  So if you have say 100 bitcoins... well... thats a nice $3000 profit or so.

I'm sure there are ppl that have thousands or bitcoins right and just hold on to it?  And many that would sell btc immediately if prices go all the way up?  If someone had say 500 bitcoin... then btc price went up $20 in say a week or so... selling it would net them $10000 minus fees right?  However if they sell it via localbitcoins or other method, they are going to get a higher profit right?  However if they do this, say sold all their 500 btc... then once bitcoin later in the year go up another $50... well that would be $25000 less they would have earned.

In general, isn't holding BTC always a good thing since the price of it is pretty low now?  Obviously if you bought btc at $600 or $1000 and thought it would went up and held on to your btc, that would been a disaster.  But since its in the $200-$300 range, isn't having BTC always good?

That depends on so many things though.. I usually sell when price is double the amount i got it at.. or if i win it in gambling, if its over $600 then its going to bank. At least then I know I've actually made some profits on it.. Holding on to it is a gamble in itself. One that could pay off in the long run, or not  Grin
1559  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Is bitcoin better or paypal? on: June 27, 2016, 03:40:17 PM
I have been told that don't accept payments via paypal, is that right?
Because when buyer will have his bitcoins then he can claim back money from paypal by saying that i haven't received desired product.

Bitcoin is the victor in my opinion, but rather than paypal, why not use neteller?  Grin
1560  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Is it possible to buy bitcoins by paypal? on: June 27, 2016, 03:38:01 PM
Hello,

I want to as is it possible to buy bitcoins by paypal and don't get ban from them?

I have to charge my faucet but I don't have bitcoins to do it and I stuck ;/

I've bought btc with paypal a few times and it always happened smoothly. Try https://paxful.com/ .. They have escrow and of course i've traded it like 5times. Oh yeah, and its almost instant if you are trading with an online trader  Grin
